Then you need to play another class or open your mind. I’ve been playing a S/P thief and beat d/d and d/p thieves all the time in WvW/sPvP. Sorry but there’s more to our class then daggers and stealth.

I never relied on stealth to get the job done so I had no need to adapt. Some of the more D/P type thieves in our guild have made simple changes and are doing just fine as well. I gotta agree with the OP, this QQ fest is really sad and needs to stop. ANet would listen if our class community could find the time to intelligently approach the situation rather than scream NOOOOOO! WHHHHYYYY!?

2 cents and +1 for the first real thread to take a positive note on the recent patch, let’s see some more new builds.

Stealth is a utility skill. This is not World of Warcraft or any of it’s copies where our class is based around the ability to vanish. There are many avenues for a thief to take in regards to weapons, armor, and traits and many of them viable both in PvE and PvP/WvW. Check out GW1 assassins, we have more stealth then they did.

Try switching your weapons and builds up. My thief was 100% UNTOUCHED by this update and I’m still out there kicking kitten with my pre-patch build.

It was a really stupid nerf that hurt PvE thieves much more than PvP ones, and messes up the timing of thief rotations in a really weird way that makes the class feel much more awkward and unpolished. Anet does not think this stuff through at all and probably have about as great an understanding of the class as all of these people rejoicing over a nerf that won’t stop them from getting killed by thieves in pvp at all.

I disagree in that ANet time and again has shown that a great deal of thought does go into their changes. I do agree though that PvE thieves probably took the bigger hit when it comes to the caltrops nerf.

I didn’t have to change a single thing since I don’t utilize stealth as a combat skill. I personally love the changes and think it will help with balance when all the little glass cannon noobs need to find a new cookie cutter trick to try and win. <3

I love to solo his phase 1 fight. My question though is can you actually solo his next two fights? That crystal prison makes things much trickier. His little healing adds in phase 3 I would think out heal solo dps as well.

We had a great weekend of WvW and Fractal runs. While our server is still in need of better communication and organization between the guilds ours once again held out until the end of our servers numbers for the nights. If you want to feel like you’ve accomplished something when you log out every night then this is the guild for you.

We had a great turn out and a lot of fun this weekend out in World vs World. We’re still looking for active players that, while enjoying all aspects of the game, really enjoy the WvW aspect. With so many games and simple options to turn to when things don’t go your way there is a serious decline in server pride these days. We’re hoping to help in changing that, even if it’s only for our server.

We tried for simplicity over flashy looks, lots of hard work by our officer Kun Ji.

Time to get hyped once again! We’ll see at least one new opponent this week which will help in bringing about the balance ANet has done such a horrible job of trying to promote via updates and changes. Get your PvP gear set for some fun WvW this upcoming reset.

We’re running workshops on a weekly basis to help teach new players the ins and outs. We have a WvW workshop this weekend and regular dungeon trips daily.

If no guild exists by the name you pick you should be alright, including deleting and reforming. Yes, as your google search told you guild tags are not unique.

We had a great turn out last night for WvW in our own Borderlands. With a single 5 man team we took back most of our southern keeps while the main groups kept the enemy busy. We’ve also had a few new people join our ranks so a big “Welcome!” to you all. We’re still actively seeking people interested in World vs World. (We do dungeons and other stuff as well)

Greetings,

The Burning Eden [TBE] is looking for players on, or willing to relocate to, the Devona’s Rest server. We are an actively casual PvX guild that participates daily in all aspects of Guild Wars 2. While we have no age requirement, the average member is in his or her twenties. We do not discriminate against race, class, gender, or level. All are welcome to share our hearth.

We are currently in search of active WvW players, new and veterans, interested in an organized WvW experience. While we do not openly discuss guild strategies and tactics there is a specific type of player we’re most interested in finding. We are looking for individuals that understand the importance of a solid defense and supply lines. However, this does not mean you should expect to not have fun. On the contrary, every fight you find yourself in will be an outnumbered match. These players are the backbone of our war effort so you can take pride in helping turn the tide of war in our servers favor.

Our warband is always looking for more players to join the ranks of our main force in WvW. The warband is more focused on open combat and the siege of keeps. These members of the guild are mostly an offensive force; they tend to coordinate with the current alliance of guilds on our server. Everyone likes to simply run around and kill people sometimes so don’t feel that you have to pick a play style for WvW with us and be stuck to it.

We still have plenty of room for members to grow within our ranks. Your participation will not go unnoticed by the officers; you’re not just member #145 to us. We use Ventrilo for all guild events and it is one of our only requirements for members of the guild. We do not require that you talk, only that you be able to hear the directions being given by guild officers.

It could be that the person you are trying to invite is already in too many guilds. That happened to me a few weeks ago.

That is usually the case. I thought my guild was bugged because it gave me guild full messages yet I couldn’t purchase a new license. I discovered it was the player who needed to correct this by leaving one of their guilds, though at that point I didn’t even bother inviting.

I don’t know about other guilds but why on Tyria would you ever invite someone to your guild who has just blatantly shown you that they jump around guilds like it’s going out of style. Food for thought.

Not that I know of but while this is a good idea everyone wanting to add someone should tread lightly. In most games, especially this one with repping/multi guilding, you’d need to be certain of blacklist worthy offenses. Having a giant list of mainly people who try a guild out and leave just as quickly will get the blacklist blacklisted. Who are we to say, especially if they don’t voice their reason, whether the member just wasn’t fitting in or was just trying to rob the guild for example. My guild will see one or two people leave a week and these players never participate or talk. I find it funny and sad that someone would look for an active guild yet not be active but it certainly isn’t ban worthy. If there is a list, or a desire to be one, there should be outlines as to acceptable offenses for adding someone to said list publicly available. That should include how you go about getting someone added.
