Is there no waypoint West of Silverwastes you can use?
In fairness, there was nothing that said there would be another snapshot. Players decided there might be one and put all their hopes on it.
Not super fast, no, but they also aren’t as hard as Mordrem, which makes perfect sense. It might be a case that having got partly used to the much harder Mordrem, in comparison it has made other mobs much easier.
it’s intentional since it is designed to be amuch harder end game area, forcing you to try new tricks/skills/weapons/traits.
It is also scaling due to the number of ppl in the area
ANET LIED TO ME! It’s not 12 noon pacific time!
Oh well. (Wipes tears away. Starts playing).
Bet you feel slapped in the face!
BWE2 has started, so if it hasnt snapshotted anew…it wont now
oh its a different section of the map!
I have no issue with the account bound..but I’d like the option to forge the black lion, Balthazar and Jennahs.
Since the term is beta weekend according to the government this is a three day weekend due to the fact Monday is Labor Day. So shouldn’t the testing be a day longer?
Labor Day is one country only. The weekend is still 2 days for the rest of the World.
And I suspect Anet are still hard at work on the Monday regardless
I have so many shots I love, years worth of them. But whenever a thread like this comes up, I just have to share my showdown with a Watchknight in LA’s smouldering ruins because I think it came out the best of the lot in terms of composition:
Can you (or anyone) identify the armour being worn in posts image?
The number of people reporting is irrelevant. Its down to the support agent to review and decide whether it breaks the rules or not.
This is not a preview, early start, or sneak peek. It’s a test. <— said in my Admiral Akbar voice, and if you get the reference, kudos to you!
Our shields cant repel logic of this magnitude!!

You failed your city!!!
Sure, rub it in. Sir di Bette lost friends in those fires, his lover died, his troupe of adventurers lost a lot of capital stashed in hidden places around the city and the troupe itself has never been at strength since, his already-abraded lungs got scoured by miasma, he realized Lyssa didn’t love him after all … and now, now he is accused of failure and shame!
(( Yeah, I think another reason I love that screenshot is that it sparks memories of months and months of RP plots that sprang from and resonated with the loss of LA).
Next time be nicer to Diggle

also…nice cameo between your legs there
It’s not hidden. There’s a little alleyway leading right up to it. Just walk up to the door. If it doesn’t activate, then you might need to confirm to go inside

(the only screenie on this PC since I switched Hard drives)
You do realize this makes not sense, right?
Why not? What if I dont like the game but still want to play the game?
In all other MMOs raids are PvE content. To not have it being PvE is odd, it’s like saying fractals are now pvp only, which is weird if you think on it. Or saying that dungeons are no longer PvE… you can get rewards for those through pvp, but you can can’t get rewards for fractals through pvp (which I rather like).
It’s an interesting point though. Accoording to Colin, the game’s combat and skill system is used to its fullest only in PVP. In that context, it would make sense that raids could then be accessed by pvpers who don’t pve.
I like overall gist of what the OP is saying – I don’t necs think this is the right option for the game, however removing this silly gear check business and focusing on the skill is something I am in favour of.
GW1 had an option to ping your “skill build”. WHilst this is easily open to the same playground bickering and silly kicking of ppl, it could be used to help advise people and coordinate what to bring if it existed. Perhaps a somewhat idealistic rather than realistic solution though
You will be able to craft one copy of each Precursor.
As for reveals, I believe I remember they said more info on that would be forthcoming. We can pretty certain recipes or mats will prob not being further elaborated on so a not to unbalance the market on mats.
One other point, in the Precursor Mastery lines, the new ones are the final set you unlock. ie, you have to train the other lines in the Precursor Mastery first, then the HoT Precursor one before you can craft a HoT Legendary.
I think there is a fps glitch too. I had it happen twice on me in wvw. I had to restart the game by forcing it to close in task manager (program not responding).
This happened to me in SW. I have no idea the cause. I normally run 35-45 fps there, and I was down to 9-12. A forced reboot (and it didnt want to close) and it went back to normal when I restarted.
Couldn’t provide any additional info to reproduce it. It was even during a lull in activity on the map
Afaik, it was a one print run only thing. It’s only listed there because no one has ever taken it down.
Tends to be the way with game art books I’m afraid (fondles his limited edition Half Life 2 art book)
OK, enough talk. Time to show us your looks
Look folks… normally I’m on your side on these types of discussions lol but to me Raiding SHOULD NOT be expansion only content. Anything that requires a group shouldn’t be. It’s exclusionary for a MYRIAD of reasons.
Your logic is flawed.
According to you, all HoT should be accessible to core players than right?? right??
I mean pfft, raids are a MAIN FEATURE to the xpac. One of the main attractions to this xpac….lets go ahead and make all the main attractions for core players than huh?
This is the way it is. If you want the new content that anet spent tons of time and resources on for free, you are going to be disappointed. Too bad if your guildies can’t shell out 50 bucks for the xpac. Their loss. Not Anets. Pony up and pay. Whining about it doesn’t help…
No… I never said that… I said Core players should have raids that do not require HoT mechanics… do you even read?
The core itself is pretty much done with. A few enhancements here and there like the map rewards coming with HoT are pretty much all that that Vanilla GW2 is likely to expect.
Raids are selling points for expacs. If they wanted them with the core game, they’d have done it by now. All their resources will be dedicated to things like HoT/LW3/LW1 (re-done), new expacs which is an intensive enough schedule I’d imagine.
I mean I thought they made two slightly different versions. So I guess I will get it and use it for that necro’s elite then.
Marjory’s version has a glow round it and was datamined to be an ascended GS. You can find the details on wiki, with I think a chat code. It is however, not in game and differs only in the glow.

Absolutely 110% it should be expac only content. It’s a huge incentive for ppl to get HoT. This is how MMO’s work. You want the latest dungeon/raid, then you pay for it as part of the expansion. And we knew the challenging content was locked behind HoT since the announcement back at the beginning of the year.
The sheer amount of content available for free should be enough for those ppl unhappy.
I guess I’ll pencil in killing a few Mordrem this weekend.
Next weekend.
Next weekend? That’s better. I was wondering who put in an event like this along with a beta weekend.
Isn’t beta weekend next weekend too?
This weekend
Well, there was no other sword skin released into the gem store. Wasn’t Belinda’s sword the one she inherited? Or do you mean the imbued version which had the glow round Belinda’s sword?
No issues from UK/Eu here. Could be an NA thing – make sure you are posting where you are
No one read the front page? lol
https://www.guildwars2.com/en/news/the-mordrem-are-coming/
From 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) on September 10 through 9:00 a.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) on September 13, Mordrem will be staging periodic incursions into Brisban Wildlands, Kessex Hills, and Diessa Plateau. Keep an eye on the world event UI, which will let you know when Mordremoth is launching its assault.
Thread was made before the news article, which someone posted a link to few mins ago
Well, it’s beta this weekend, so you can still kill Mordrem this week if you choose!
I dont think 1 raid constitutes a subforum, esp after so many other subforums got the chop. They just need to rename and the dungeon one and include raid convos in there
Your wish is granted!
I have had only one issue with Windows 10, and it is with my graphics card. Nvidia 670mx, and it only happened when I’d try to alt+tab or alt+window out of the game, about half the time it would flicker, and give me a “Displayer Driver stopped responding and has recovered” error. I just downloaded the Win10 Nvidia driver so we’ll see if that problem continues. Otherwise, I have had no issues with the Windows 10 update and being able to play GW2.
If you set it to windowed fullscreen, the issue goes completely. It’s a fullscreen related issue
Can we get Twisted Marionette meta event back in the line up please?
There’s a red post on these forums saying that it is coming back as a guild spawned world event.
So that’s pretty much a confirmation. Of course the specific details of when and how it comes back are up in the air.
There is? Have you got a link?
Having found my old PC unsuitable for the increased specs, ill be seeing how my new PC performs in the new area
Yes, them not helping seems contrary to this

Especially as people are reporting they have been assisted
There are only 2 ways to have it return that make any sense to me;
- A fractal raid instance. It would need tweaking for a different group size though.
- Someone (prob the inquest) got their hands on Scarlet’s tech and resurrected it. It would be identical to the original in every way, minus Scarlet and the Breachmaker. Obviously it would need to be powered by a diff source other than the Breachmaker
Gaile has stated Support are helping anyone who received the Ultimate Edition gems late and missed out on the sale because of it. A ticket to them should solve that for you
A one day recap sale of everything would be a nice option though.
Contacted support and they were very understanding of my predicament, they were happy to help me out
I’m surprised, but I’m glad to hear you got your skin.
Hopefully gear inspect and dps meter with HOT

Especially given the new Raids. i want to be able to make sure I’m bringing decently geared and specced people. If I don’t like the build, I want them out of the group. Same deal if your dps is not cutting it. With raids and legendary rewards, group leaders need to be able to cut the dead wood or weak links.
I hope Anet updates the UI and gives us these much desired and demanded features.
They aren’t much desired and demanded though. You’ve listed all the reasons why they shouldn’t add either feature in.
Anet wants people to work to together and encourage and support other players. What it doesn’t want is ppl being stopped from playing content because someone believes another player isn’t up to their level based on arbitrary measurements.
The culture of kicking people is likely the prominent reason MMO’s are cutting back on raids. Why would a new player ever try a raid when being new is forever held against them.
Everyone starts off having to learn at some point…even you
If it’s moderately challenging, but open-to-all, like LFR (in MoP), it will be a good thing for the game.
If it’s overly challenging and all gated, organised and therefore, basically, shut-off from most players, it will be a bad thing for the game.
It’s already been stated it has been designed so only a very small proportion should be able to complete it, at least early on..
I have no major issue with this – it can be a great selling point to have a massively difficult raid in a time other MMO’s are dumbing down or removing their raids. The key is whether they are doing a good enough job to teach players how to succeed before they enter the raid
Colin stated only pvp has people utilising the combat to its fullest and nowhere is this being done in pve (yet). That’s a design flaw, which I’m sure they are well aware of. A successful raid hinges as much on a well implemented learning curve as it does mechanics and an embracing community.
Raids shouldn’t be their to teach players their professions and skills, they’re there to test their mastery of them.
Season 1 was notable for its big, epic (and highly enjoyable imo) events and set pieces not for its story (as many will testify) . It set the scene for the characters, introduced a villain (for better or worse) and at the end finally set up the over-arching story. The rest of the year was filled with linking teasers and cliffhangers which really wasn’t anywhere near as good as LS2 as it played out and took an awfully long time to say very little.
The NPC in LA tells you the story you need for LS1. It just wont replace the experience (and there were some fantastic gameplay experiences to be had – Nightmare Tower, Marionette and Battle For LA).
We don’t know if LS1 will ever be re-made in a newly playable form, so I’d advise reading up on S1 and watching the cutscene provided by the Priory in LA
Sounds very similar to my PC with W10. I haven’t had this issue (yet)
Lots of ppl are using W10 without issue for GW2. There are however major issues with Nvidia working correctly with W10 and causing havoc in many games, with a couple of recent Nvidia drivers being released broken.

Define “veteran”. 3 years? 2 years 364 days? 2 years? a year and a half? Since the beginning, played once, never returned?
Getting away from the fact that games and things in general go down in price, how do you work out who is getting it for free and who isn’t? Where is the line drawn?
I’ve been here since headstart, I’m not seeing any valid argument for me getting HoT for free. I have 3 years of fun, experiences, achievements, collections, items, skins screenshots etc etc that the incoming Froobs wont be getting
It has always been my greatest dream…
A support ticket seems reasonable, although if they do it for one person, the precedent is set to have to do it for everyone. Then comes the dilemma of what’s their timeframe for doing such things..
Whilst I hope you get the quiver sooner rather than later, I doubt they will surprise anyone with their response.
I suggested it once before as an anniversary gift, but I suspect it requires a bit of unique coding for the minis
Are you guys on american servers?
UK/EU
Yeah quiver went on over the weekend I believe and ended yesterday
