Yea like Drizzt and Guenhwyvar except we’re pretty useless. Want to know what happened today in AC? full Beastmaster build and my pet got one shotted, so basically 75% of our damage went down the drain i wish we weren’t so freaking useless. I wish.

So i’m bored with my thief atm being full zerker, when the game first release my first build was a condition thief so i’m looking to switch back to condi.

What armor and jewels should i use? i was looking at the TP thinking that a Condi/healing/toughness armors would be ideal for me but i don’t think they exist, so what is the ideal gear for a death blossom spam build?

Meh people on these forums are very unlucky, i ran a condi build and never got kicked, the only time i had a problem was another condi necro was in the group and was force to switch to my other char, but condi necros are freaking awesome with epidemic.

This is a major problem in ALMOST every game. The hair on the face clips with a lot of helms, so the game removes the facial hair on most male models. There are only a few games I can think of that let you keep your hair actually. It stinks, but Anet is of the opinion that clipping issues trump having what the customers want. Thus, why we don’t have capes still 9 months in.

I’d rather let it clip instead of having my face like that.

The items available depend on the level of your current char, so if you are not level 80, you won’t be able to see or buy lvl 80 exotics.

At least that’s how it seems to me.

Ahh that explains it, i’m lvl 56 atm so i won’t able to see the lvl 80 yet, oh well, i’ll just have to wait.

It’s just players have a different definition for “down the road” and “in the future”, just like “rare chance”. Causes a lot of misunderstandings. Also most players aren’t software developers, it can take months from idea to implementation that doesn’t break something like the economy, profession balance, etc.

True enough, we also try to avoid putting timelines on anything due to the volatility that comes with live development, and if we’re ever wrong folks tend to not respond terribly well to it.

One of the fun things about live MMO development: all the steps that things have to go through to make it live. Generally a feature needs to be done 2+ weeks before it can go live, so it can get locked down and separated from everything else in development to be tested in isolation with the live game to verify it doesn’t function different in a server filled with development code vs. what’s going to go live. Before this lock down, the feature needs to be done with core development about 1-2 weeks earlier to allow downstream teams like localization, editing, and audio to have time to complete their work after the content teams are complete so content isn’t changing out from under them. And if any VO is used in the feature, all the recorded text needs to be completed 4+ weeks earlier than that to allow all of our localization VO partners to get all the correct staff in studio to record all the VO to match the english recording after the first batch of VO is recorded.

Most of this year we’ve been having a release once every month, which means if a feature has a lot of issues during testing and we need to make a lot of updates and pukitten back, it could be multiple months until it gets into the next one due to all the lead time required before something ships in game. The amount of steps required to get something live is pretty staggering, I just covered some of the high level steps above but there are a lot more than this.

We’ve actually been re-working this pipeline a bit lately in the background to try and speed it up (thus 2 releases in a row with 2 weeks separating instead of 4) but it still makes it really hard for us to give exact dates. A little peak behind the curtain how development works, there are around 300 folks working at ArenaNet, but a lot of them have nothing to do with building the feature, and instead provide all the support required to get that feature live. It’s why very few live games do frequent updates to their products, but we’re trying to find innovative ways to buck that trend and update more frequently.

It’s truly pathetic to read such an appeasing post and then see what “thoroughly tested” means when your patches actually hit live.

You should go work for them maybe you might teach them a thing or two.

Summoned creatures and pets can no longer draw aggro from enemies that have not already aggroed on their master.

Adjusted ranger pet AI when fighting enemies in PvE. Melee pets now attempt to move behind enemies as long as they are not actively being targeted by the creature.

Tail Wind trait: Now has an internal cooldown of 9 seconds.
Furious Grip trait: Now has an internal cooldown of 9 seconds.
“Guard” skill: Reduced cooldown from 30 seconds to 15 seconds.
“Sic ’Em” skill: Reduced cooldown to 40 seconds from 60 seconds.
Lightning Reflexes skill: Reduced cooldown from 45 seconds to 40 seconds.
Signet of Stone skill:
Reduced cooldown from 120 seconds to 80 seconds.
Increased passive toughness by 100%.
Now allows capture of control points in all formats and communing in PvP.
Signet of the Wild skill: Reduced cooldown from 120 seconds to 60 seconds and duration from 12 seconds to 8 seconds.
Spiritual Knowledge trait: Increased activation chance from 15% to 35%.
Swoop skill: Corrected the damage indicated in the skill fact.
Increased health of all non-elite spirits by 60%.
“Search and Rescue” skill:
Increased cooldown from 85 seconds to 180 seconds in PvP.
No longer revives defeated allies.
Point Blank Shot skill: No longer has an increased cast time when the Eagle Eye trait is equipped.
Quickening Zephyr skill:
Increased duration by 1 second.
Players are now healed at 50% effectiveness (increased from 0%) when under the effects of this skill.

Pet Attributes
Adjusted health and/or armor of ranger pets:
Ursine pets: health increased from 26,000 to 29982; armor is now 2061 (up 687). Polar bear’s power now matches that of all other bear pets.
Dogs: health increased from 13,000 to 14,868; armor is 2061 (no change).
Cats: health increased from 13,000 to 14,868; armor is 1374 (no change).
Devourers: health increased from 11,089 to 14868; armor is 2748 (no change).
Birds: health increased from 11,894 to 14,868; armor is 1374 (no change).
Drakes: health increased from 11,683 to 22,425; armor is 2061 (no change).

I know it’s bullkitten, is it so hard for them to put it guild merchant tab or laurel shop? it’s kittening frustrating dealing with this kitten when ranger should have get it by default.

Rangers, it’s my main and i’m always having fun with it, the pet mechanic is nice and add a second layer to the ranger like a beastmaster, the only thing missing is quiver but the ranger is the class for you if you’re looking for a range class.

Make quivers easier to obtain, i don’t care about the stats, i want my kitten quiver make it so player like me (Ranger) can choose it at character creation or make it comes as default with ranger but i don’t care I WANT MY QUIVER WITHOUT RUNNING FRACTALS!!!

LB is not worthless, anyone who tell you that can’t play ranger, my full zerker LB build is made e especially for WvW zerges traited and all, the damage from autoattack at max range is insane, plus barrage, the SB will never ever outdamage a LB full zerker in a long range fight, if anyone tells you otherwise is fooling themselves, but i wish rapid fire would function better with higher damage and can cancel when trying to use other skills, plus the knock back could use a longer range. But the LB is far from useless.

Bloodthirsty: This trait now functions with the Vampiric Rituals and Vampiric Master traits.
Flesh of the Master: This trait now properly affects Jagged Horrors.
Ghastly Claws: Damage from this ability has been increased by ~10%.
Locust Swarm: The radius of this ability has been increased by ~16% and now has the range of a normal melee ability.
Mark of Revival: This trait now functions with the Greater Marks trait.
Minion Master: This trait now affects Mark of Horror from the necromancer’s Lich Form.
Necromantic Corruption: This trait now functions with Bone Fiend, Shadow Fiend, Flesh Wurm, and Jagged Horror.
Protection of the Horde: This trait now functions with Jagged Horror minions.
Rending Claws: Vulnerability application from this ability have been increased from 5 seconds to 7 seconds.
Spectral Wall: This skill’s combo field will now appear where the wall is instead of on top of the necromancer.
Spinal Shivers: This ability now deals bonus damage for each boon that it removes. One boon removed deals 50% extra damage, two boons deals 100% extra, and three boons removed will grant an extra 150% damage to the ability.

A class that’s built around condition damage and applying them suck at it. kitten p/d thief can do this more effectively and kill people more effectively, because of the “balance” thief can pop in and out of hide and unload their sneak attack because of game ’balance" and stack 10+ bleed in seconds and without getting hit. So there you go, want to play a condition class? play a P/D thief or D/D and spam death blossom cause condition necro is useless in WvW.

The problem with this is the RNG, this should have been rewarded in a long kitten quest that players have to do to get it, instead of spending lots of gold and grind, one of the major flaw of creating a legendary.

On my server (TC) there’s a lot of people moving around doing events etc.. it’s awesome and refreshing, remind me of release when every would flood orr and i hope it stays that way.

I wonder how those lower pop servers are doing like like Vabbi and Eredon Terrace. And anet might wanna merge some low pop server.

Just out of curiosity, one of the main reason why the game feel so dead on some server is because most players are separate by 20+ zones with no way to communicate. So why anet hasn’t implement this yet?

I find it worrying how many of you think a glass thief beats a berserker necro. They really don’t. In 3 months of playing a berserker necro, I have not once lost 1v1 to a glass thief, it is literally the easiest build/class to kill, simply because we have 40k+ hp and rather high melee dps, which means we can just kill them faster then they can kill us. In the few times they’ve managed to down me, I’ve always won the downed war thanks to our shockingly strong downed 3 skill.

How the hell you get 40k HP from a zerker necro..And you prob didn’t fight a good BS thief or P/D.

May I get a refund please?

Condition damage doesn’t do enough damage when most classes can wtf pawn you in seconds, thief for example, warrior and guardians can remove it and adding 5 stack or less of bleeds won’t scratch them. Bunker build is useless since you won’y kill anyone but will soak enough damage to stay a live a little longer then the other class can just spam their skills. Glass cannon..ha beside dagger main hand we do kitten damage with full zerker gear.’

This is from WvW experience.

Oh and did i mention how specing for vampiric is useless or going minion master is useless?

and btw i can show you a screenshot where a thief did 20k damage in seconds with haste and assassin signet.

What if it worked like applying bleeds from a weapon skill, only this time players won’t have any way to avoid the DoTs except dodging the skill, you apply the well to one person and it will spread to nearby players. I know OP OP OP, but would it be that bad in the state the necro is in now to have at lease one good damage skill in PvP?
