The real question is, why is there no Power/Precision/Toughness gear in pvp?
I agree.
Given that the rabid amulet exists (condi dmg, precision, toughness) i believe there should be a power/prec/tough amulet to match it. I think it would bring more power builds into the meta. Right now you either go glass (zerker amulet) or run a pseudo bunker soldiers build that relies heavily on might stacks to do any decent damage.
I would also like to see a power/condi dmg/toughness amulet.
The best way to fix the MM/SR qq is to let players rally off of the minions/spirits. End of QQ because if youre going to basically bring a 6v1 then we should get to rally off them.

I would actually approve of being able to rally off all minions other than flesh golem since nobody would ever run minion necro again.
Honestly, minion necro isn’t even that good. It’s a decent 1v1’er or node defender and a terrible team fighter. The problem I have with minion necros is that they’re terribly boring to play against as well as horribly boring to play, kind of like clerics bunker warriors.
Dodging Mark of Blood only to get hit by Chillbains right after is getting really old. Dodging the right marks can mean the difference between life and death when fighting a necromancer and having absolutely no way to tell what mark the necro is using is unacceptable. This needs to be a priority in the next balance patch.

22k Backstabs don’t happen in pvp. Also when a warrior has berserker stance on it is visible under his name. If you pressed every button on staff and somebody negates that’s your fault for spamming your skills haphazardly.
Imagine fighting a grenade engi where all the grenades have the same animation as shrapnel, or fighting a warrior where all the hammer attacks look like mighty blow. At moment the only way to counter play necro staff is to random dodge when he’s casting marks and hope you dodge the right ones.
I don’t know about you: in order to switch character/build, I need at least a minute. Making the match 4v5 for a minute is quite risky.
In my experience it seems to be around 20 to 30 seconds, and if you character swap directly after dying the time investment is negligible.

This is what happens when you complain about leavers. People were abusing this and swapping characters in the middle of the match and not having to worry about staying until the match completed.
If that’s the case Anet went about this the wrong way. Isn’t this why we have dishonorable? Instead we’re giving players who are having trouble beating the enemy team ability to counter them rather than outplay them.
I was in a solo queue against a double banner bunker team where one of the members of the enemy team swapped four times enable to counter us. We managed to get bottom buff and were holding 3 points for a while since they had double bunker. Naturally the enemy swapped to bomb/nade engi enable to put out massive on point pressure and neut the points once again.
I mean come on. This is getting ridiculous. At the VERY LEAST they could remove this feature from team queue. There are so many things wrong with this feature it blows my mind that it even exists.
On the flip side, it horribly sucked to be disconnected mid or at the end of a winning match and reconnect only to lose rating/glory/chest for it.
You used to be able to re-connect on the same character if I remember correctly.

No, you can character swap at any time during the match.
This need to be removed.
Character swapping mid match should have never been brought back into a game where hard counters are prevalent. In both solo and team queue I’m seeing people re-roll mid match enable to hard counter the other team.
In original Guild Wars all builds and gear were locked once you were in match. This encouraged teams to run balanced team compositions enable to overcome most situations with intelligent play rather than build wars.
For the sake of the future of this game remove this feature
I want to say that your idea is naive, incompetent, amateur-ish, and hopefully ANET would not be stupid enough to listen to it. But due to ANET’s actions in the past? You have a good shot of gutting the class.

I don’t believe Ken or anyone else is trying to ruin the efficacy of warriors in the tpvp setting. Being a pseudo multiclass and a main warrior I believe that berserker stance is 100% necessary to stay viable in the current state of the game. However, it’s nature is rather “brain dead” and is the lowest least skillful form of couterplay in the game (aside from passive trait procs).
If the reworking/toning down of berserkers stance were to lead to the “gutting” of warrior then it’s not a problem with warriors, it’s a problem with other game/class mechanics.
Keep in mind, the way it currently works does NOT match what the description of the skill says. According to the wiki, the skill is considered to be currently bugged.

Actually Ken the wiki description and the in game tool tip differ. The in game tool tip clearly states that “conditions cannot be applied to you.”
All grenades are skill shots at range and you need to use them intelligently to make sure your opponent doesn’t simply walk out of them (baiting dodges/keeping track of control effects). Also, engineer relies primarily on soft control abilities (blind, chill, cripple) and vigor enable to stay alive.
Another cool thing about engineers is that they can make impressive plays with combo fields in tight situations. For example, they can use the overcharge on healing turret and blast the water field for full party heals. They can also drop a smoke bomb if a team mate gets downed to avoid cleave damage and then blast it for stealth to save a stomp and change the outcome of the fight.
It’s true a lot of people over exaggerate how difficult it is to play engineer. Loading conditions on a target really isn’t that difficult and kit swapping isn’t the most challenging thing in the world given that the kits have no cooldown (unlike elementalist attunements). However, the number of options/plays availible to an engineer at any given moment is what makes them hard to master.

The best way to do that is redesign the rifle witch is a clunky weapon that just feels terrible to play with compared to p/s.
I disagree. Rifle has a slowish feel to it because it’s skills are powerful. Landing them is rewarding and the weapon is amazing for juggling and controlling opponents when running a power build. Do not change.
People are forced to Random dodge when the necro is flexing, because they can’t actually tell when/what is coming. This results in a poor mitigation of the 10 incoming damage abilities.

I think they should be able to hold/neut points when on separately, but not simultaneously since you are essentially invulnerable aside from previously applied conditions.

I disagree. A pvp game should be balanced around the highest levels of competitive play.
Then one of them jumps me right after a big battle at mid has ended, I’m at 50% health and my stability is off cooldown. I dodge out of range 1-2 times, Whirlwind out of another, but eventually the war gets me, and I’m toast.
If anybody ‘jumps you’ with 50% health and no cd’s there’s a good chance you’re going to drop.
Why are you not resetting after mid fights, and where is your team while you’re getting jumped after winning mid point? Also, how do you not see a hambow warrior coming, and why would you let him engage with no reset?

You can interrupt shelter with warrior “Fear Me!” or Engineer Toolkit 5 and it goes on full cooldown. It’s incredibly broken.

About a week ago I downed a ranger in hotjoin and proceeded to watch him teleport six times back to his home point and then ressed.
Glass mesmer got outplayed by glass warrior. L2p issue since glass war is the easiest proffesion to kill besides pve mobs.Common knowledge a mesmer should not die to warrior regardless of spec for the matter.

There’s a huge trade off for mobility. If you run sword you sacrifice damage and cc for mobility. If you use bullcharge you sacrifice either berserker stance or stability.
Unless your run stab+zerk stance+bulls charge. I like to run those utilities when I run axe every once in a blue moon.
I mean from a visual pov, a warrior switching to a long range weapon, setting the ground beneath his feet on fire and proceeding to continue his melee with the bow is also a bit funny.
What about engineers setting bombs and spamming grenades on themselves?
Shortbow is generally fine and doesn’t need breaking. With the latest initiative change you can pretty much spam the cluster bombs all the time. If you want higher single target dps then use a single target dps weapon!

I would say shortbow is the best designed weapon in the game. Don’t fix what’s not broken.
However, Warriors are in a pretty sweet place right now and I find it laughable that a Warrior/Guardian comes into Thief forums to troll and tell people it’s a l2p issue.
We all know 410 HP regen a second isn’t overpowered. Not at all.
I’m still not 100% sure what you’re trying to argue. Warrior healing signet is a completely irrelevant topic when discussing the state of the D/P trickery build for thief, so is the class I main. If you want to be taken seriously I recommend you form an opinion and support it with evidence.
The competitive tpvp community is severely under represented on the forums and this is part of the reason why. Please bring some intelligent discussion and they may return. I would love to hear their opinions.
If you’re still free by december 20th, let me know. I’m thinking of maybe starting a team, but I’m still trying to work out the kinks, and improve my own play to become good enough before that happens.

You need 15 points in strength for building momentum.
To this day I still try to cancel these skills while I’m playing greatsword. The weapon should already operate in this way since the skills are channels and most other channeled skills in the game can be cancelled. Making this change would allow players more control over the weapon and open it up for more interesting plays.
Please Anet, this weapon would feel so great if you made this simple fix
p.s. I know these can be cancelled by weapon swapping :P
