It’s Sylvari medium T1
Bust size is the least of the problems Human females have IMO. Their, as well as human males’ anatomy is completely off. Looks at their hips, their waist, size of their their chest. It resembles much more a barbie doll than an actual human being. Males, on the other hand, have some strange thing going in the pelvic region, as if both of their hip joints have been broken and healed badly.
Ironically, norn females are much more anatomically correct than humans. Norn males, on the other hand, are much closer to overgrown dwarves.
Human T3 is actually quite detailed compared to other light armor sets. There are far worse ones.
Does it come with its owner?
Snowleopard is useful for a lot more than just escaping. It’s more like a real skill than the other racials.
I don’t really understand why Snow Leopard is the only form that can move while attacking. I mean, do they fear it would make them all op if we were able to land a hit on enemy players? Or did they just not bother to fix it? The lack of any form of healing in majority of forms is bad enough. Removing the need to stand still while attacking would at least move the forms from “why did you even create this elite” to “lacking and underpowered yet fun” cathegory.
Skuld Olfson – 9/10
Norn name for norniously nornish norn.Baldur The Betrayer
Got this idea of an ex Son of Svanir necromancer who turned on his former brethren, embracing the demeaning title and wearing it with pride.Baldur the Betrayer is a great name, but he must have a tough go of it making friends!
Who cares about making friends when you have a flesh golem?

Bumping this thread, this bug really needs to be fixed. ANet is whining no one plays thair “original” races, yet they choose to ignore glitches like this which keep players from playing anything else than human.
Seriously, this should’ve been fixed in beta.
Is there even any word from devs that they are aware of the sucky state of p/p? Or are they trying to ignore this weapon combination out of the existence?
And Arena Net wonders why so many people play human instead of their “pet” races. This is the reason.
Indeed, something like engineer kits would be great. On-demand transformation like in ol’ good GW1 days. As of now, 80% of transformations are totally useless for 99% of the time. The ridiculously short duration is barely enough to read what each skill does, let alone do something meaningful with them. I honestly wonder what were devs thinking when they were making these skills. Was it: “Man these skills are so cool, they can’t be as strong as professions’ skill, but at least we’ll make them fun” or “Meh, who cares how they work, no one will use them anyway. I want my smoke break.”
I’m afraid it was the latter.

DancinPuppeh: To be honest, I see as many rangers as thieves and warriors. It’s not like we are some obscure, hard to play profession. With brown bear, we can cheese through PvE like no other.
I can understand the reason for hating the profession. There is so many things wrong with the ranger, and the fact we’ve been given false promises from devs before does not help to raise morale. Now we’ve got zero information from devs, and from past experiences with patches, when we’ve been given hardly if any fixes, apart from irrelevent underwater combat, many players feel that complaining and hate is the only way to get devs to finally do something about ranger problems. You can’t really blame them.
Its just that one of the two devs who work on game’s balance happens to be playing thief. You can’t expect any serious nerfs to that profession.
Guess what is the second profession they play.
0/10. Because um, it’s a dude and I have no idea what a good looking dude looks like.
What is this I don’t even… Are you an alien with no concept of human beauty? Giving someone 0/10 beacuse you’re too insecure to judge men’s handsomness is just rude. Why do you even post in this thread then?
Interesting discussion. Even though I do not agree with Adelbern being portrayed as psychotic monster and the general view on the events leading to the Foefire, I admit the Ascalonian problem can’t be judged from black and white perpective.
I’d even be willing to accept the charr need for revenge against millenia old grudge no one really remembers (take note that an avarage charr lives about as long as an avarage human), if they didn’t go for full-scale genocide against humans. I mean- Ascalon was already on its knees after searing, with hardly any support from other human kingdoms, who were their enemies just few years back. Yet Charr didn’t stop there and were willing to cross Shiverpeaks and Crystal Desert just to fight more humans and to completely remove human presence in Tyria.
In light of this, the reason they give us to justify their actions seems ridiculous at the very least.
Hammer: hard-hitting, mid-range aoe weapon, for example:
Fire: Molten boulder – knock back and applying burning to in straight line
Water: Tidal wave – heal and regeneration to allies, damage and vulnerability to enemies
Air: Supercell – for 10 seconds target enemy and enemies around him in X range get dazed and blinded for X s (the aoe is locked onto target enemy and moves with him)
Earth: Aftershock – for 5 seconds, enemies around you get knocked down and crippled every 2 seconds (the aoe is locked onto the player)

Azura Jadewind
8/10
- pretty standard fantasy name, you get +2 for your description and +1 because it reminds me of Azura from TES
Mine is:
Ainsley Ansel
The name belongs to person coming from a long lineage of talented yet eccentric magicians. While not a noble family, in the past they often were in service of various noble houses of Divinity’s Reach (commoner).
When it comes to character traits, Ainsley is no different to his ancestors. He wears outlandish, brightly coloured robes with strange ornaments, covering his skinny and overall unimpressive posture. His brown hair is cut short and kept disheveled by special paste he developed himself (after series of unsuccessful attempts and fallen off hair) and sports a thin mustache and goatee.
As an elementalist, he has no elemental attunement of choice. In combat, he frequently jumps from element to element, which makes him an unpredictable and highly dangerous opponent, both to his enemy, as well as himself.

What are norns?
Yes.
@ Agadar.4931
It does not reflect projectiles, it only blocks them. There is a big difference.
Wrong.
It does reflect projectiles. Try it yourself. The skill tooltip is just misleading.
You know what made me laugh? From warrior’s description:
They can still do some decent damage at range, but they aren’t as good at it as the Ranger (with their pet).
Rangers need WAY more love than this.
I’m pretty sure there’s more.
Of course there will be more. I’ve heard we are still pretty weak underwater.
Yes, they are weak, even compared to other races’ skills. However, I am afraid devs won’t do anything about them. More likely, they will nerf more powerful racials (I am looking at you, Pain Inverter) instead.
I agree that majority of medium armor is simply disappointing. The only medium armor I actually like for my male Norn ranger is T2 and T3 cultural. T3 armor specifically looks absolutely stunning.
Indeed, it was possible to dodge arrows this way in GW1 too. The difference is, you couldn’t actually fight or cast when moving. So it was either dodging the arrows or doing damage. You couldn’t do both.
Oh god. Does it mean I won’t have to feel bad for using SoH anymore?
FYI this is slated for the 14th of December.
My body is ready. (yes, it is)
They are afraid of us. In this part of forums the laws of nature still apply and now that many rangers hunger for dev flesh, they dare not to venture here.
I choose Snow Leopard as my pet, as my ranger revere(d) the spirit of Snow Leopard. I like to RP a little.
Your link doesn’t work.
I find it funny, how devs desperately avoid ranger forums ever since the November 15th fiasco. No RPFPs (red posts full of promises) for us anymore.
A towering, sinewy figure, accompanied by shaggy grey wolf, steps out from the crowd
Your words are true, Sparrow Silverstar. We shan’t give up, not now! My name is Stigandr the Exile, and my bow is yours!
I am really glad for this patch. Now, all these ranger bots we’re seeing in game can move to underwater areas instead.
(edited by Red Jay.2516)
After all the promises and false hopes, this feels like a slap in the face.
Rerolling now. I’m leaving ranger to bots.
Pardon me, but aren’t drakes bugged? Apart from basic-autoattack and F2, I haven’t seen them use any of the other abilities.
Rock Dog

I agree that Ruins of Orr are a bit dull and lack variety. The obscene amount of CC and super fast mob respawn times don’t help either.
Frostgorge is much better. I hope the next expansion takes us into Far Shiverpeaks to fight Jormag.
This video is really painful to watch.
Stigandr The Exile
I apologize for the overused title, I just happen to not like surnames for my norn characters and Stigandr alone was in use already. The Exile was the first thing that occurred to me. I’ll probably change it the moment I got a chance. Or might incorporate into his backstory. Not sure yet.
There is also one of the Romke’s sailors whose name I forgot. It’s said it took 50 risen to overpower and eventually kill him, when Orr rose beneath their ship.
Yeah, norn are pretty tough outside game mechanics.
What makes you think destroyers we are seeing up on (close to) the surface aren’t just a fraction of Primordus’ forces?
Stigandr, ranger and explorer of the Durmand Priory, overlooking the mess in Lion’s Arch.
Who cares what thieves say anyway?
I think the speed increase should be 25%. We are meant to be mobile profession. And I hate being forced to use Warhorn in WvW all the time .
Stigandr, explorer of the Durmand Priory, observing the mess in Lion’s Arch.
(I really love this screenshot)
I really hope they’ll imporve that signet. Or at least give us something to match the thief’s speed.
And the lesson is: Don’t max your height when you’re creating Norn, kids.
Seriously. I have an avarage height Norn and it’s not that bad once you get used to it.
you know what they say.. big feet …..
They be sayin’, darn , you got some big feet!
(can’t believe the actual quote got censored)
Indeed, there are many elder dragon champions. For example, in EoD book, there has been a risen Pirate captain, who was acting as Zaithan’s champion.
Hey, it really looks like basic scatch of human anatomy. You know, two legs, two hands, some signs of fingers on the closer hand…
I think you are right. It is a human body.
Plus:
- in/out of combat speed buff to allow builds without warhorn (esp for WvW), but also for PvE running.
Yes! Give us trait (or improve the existing signet) to match the speed of Thieves and Elementalists. I am Ranger, I want to range outdoors without being outrun by some overpowered criminals or wimpy wizards!
