I believe they are working on some issues, right now, game is still fun to me.
Lotsa things to do, many explorer pathes I didnt do it and still a whole lot of orr to complete.
The difference between me and the mass that went ahead is that I actually am completing many events I see on my way.

I never saw so many bots running so openly in a MMO before.

I was leaning towards clerics because of the amazing “roll heal” (Selfless Daring) we have

My rune set would be of the soldier because of the remove condition on shouts.
I was burying 30 points in honor for my shouts to transform condition into boons just to realize that it isnt that usefull, as it’s first buff is usually swiftness. (and any other is useless because me and my team mates keeps almost every single buff up).
I know it syncronizes well with altruistic healing though.

I cant see how that can be good.
Not only in pve groups there will be other sources of burning, making yours getting overide quite often, but also burning only gets 25% of your condition damage (spread towards its duration).
That said, you’ll get far more advante with power than condition dmg. Also, power affects secondary status and will affect retaliation.
On solo play, I can see it working, to some extent, but you are missing a lot of “defensive” needs to survive the solo aspect of this game at 80 (many, many mobs that hits hard)
I dont see any reason why mess up our skill order.
It just seems dumb, to say the kindest word.
Smaller tournement groups or allow us to queue up (PUG) on free and paid

Right now, my friends dont really do pvp and I not even was able to try tournements…
Please add a way to randomly join a tournement group with a spot open (of course, they could just choose not to let it open to anyone), or give me an option to join in a smaller group! (3v3v3v3v3v3v3) could be fun.
I dont say swap, but it does makes much more sense a shield be able to block than a focus.
I’d keep 5 as it is (really unique) but would add it as either the effect of making an impassable bubble (maybe too OP), or change 4 that instead of adding protection, would let you block the next few attacks. Make is channeled.
I dont that precisely, however, if I use pure of voice that make our shouts remove conditions from allies, my save yourselves also remove one condition im suffering.
I have a feeling that gw2 wasnt meant to be eternal like rift or wow.
It is a game with end. Once I complete char zones and my personal story Ill work into my legendary and every single explorer mode on dungeons.
Of course, orr is part of it too…
After that, I highly doubt Ill keep playing unless some really cool content patch comes.

So, this game is all about vanity on progression (gear skin).
How about whenever you clear a dungeon, you get a broadcasted achievement (guild/party). And whenever you get a meta achievement it could get more public?

I wish we had a dungeon that really required 10 people to do. In that, we’d need to take down hard bosses that requires strategy and proper use of our skills.
It could reset once a week so your group could do try to progress through it during the week. So if we decide to go back tomorrow to learn how to do that third boss, the first and second would still be down.

However, to prevent that to become mandatory, what I’d do as a reward would be some money (enough to cover expenses), skill points (you do use them for crafting) and unique skins or material to make a very unique and fantastic skill.
Even a title could come with it or new and awsome looking spells.
This way, those who want to coordinate and organize to take down fun/hard content would get rewarded without having to impose it towards the whole server.

It is still looses some of the epicness of it.
However, Flame Citadel happens every 30 min or so. (maybe less).
And that makes that dungeon unavailable.
They either tune down that event so a group of 5 can do it (and we can consider that as part of the dungeon) or just make it happen once a day.
It’s a great feel to the world as it looks like alive.
However, having to overtake the flame citadel every 10 min is sorta painfull.
What will happen when people loose interest in it?
Same with shatter.
Not saying it shouldnt happen often, but some events really should happen once a day.

I do recognize that 10/30/30 is vastly better for 1 hander Well even my current build 15/25/30 is.
That’s why I’m considering mace/focus + sword/torch.
On a completly change of playstyle, I may try GS + Hammer.
It would probably go 20 / 15 / 0 /30/0 (with 5 points extra to go anywhere)
Shield is interesting indeed Lumines.
The problem is not only it’s long CDs but how focus is vastly superior.
Shield 4# isnt that good as usually we are in front of everyone else, so it wont really get others but yourself (for a very short time and for a very long CD).
Shield #5 is really cool, however, it’s long CD and the fact that enemies can walk right in again makes it sorta moot.
If 5# would push back and gives us some sort of “line of warding” effect, that would be good.
If I could change shield, I’d give it #4 a 3 block like focus and #5 a line of warding effect added to it’s push back.
Anyways, mace is ok, but I don’t really see a point to #3. Hardly I wont be getting hit and standing still is usually not an option.
However, I do like the AoE healing it bring.

Is there an internal cooldown to it?
Lets say, our normal chain on a hammer gives everyone protection through a symbol. So it will also heal? Do you have any idea what’s its scalling formula?

Hi, I feel sorta stuck to those combo. Really love the aoe interrupt with my GS, it’s aoe dmg and combo fields.
However, I’m going meditation build (10+30+30+0+0) and it does no good to my GS.
I’m considering replacing it with another 1h combo, but I can’t bring myself to use a scepter.
What do you guys suggest? Sword + torch and mace + focus?
I REALLY wish our shield was viable. A blocking skill in it would make me replace my focus ASAP.
Power/vit/tough is also available though AC tokens.
They should add a warning of some sort or be like any game I’ve played so far (hell, even Aion had that) and just restore those items. Servers should keep track.

As far as I know mystic forge should aways reward you an item if you throw 4 at it.
I threw 4 items at it the other day. 3 pieces of level 50 gladiator armor (rare) and a helmet I got from running SE on normal mode.
However, MF rewarded me NOTHING.
I openned up a support ticket asking if that is working as intended and for my surprise they replied me that they understand my frustration but their GM team cant provide any sort of compensation or restauration.
Is this reasonable for a “tripple A” MMO?
Even Aion had better support than this.
It is a pity, but when I get home tonight I’ll take a Screen Shot from the said email and after divulguing to every single gaming site I know, in English and portuguese, I’ll just dust this game.
Sadly, I expected GW2 to be the best game ever. And it is to some extent, but it’s lack of real support makes me wonder if I should delve more game time into it. Who knows if someday i get hacked and all i get is a naked character back?

You’ll earn karma and what not, I promisse.I listened to ppl like you and had NO FUN, the games stories are really bland and all the content is extremely easy and not challenging. This game is not Skyrim, it is meant to be played at a brisk pace or you will see the same freaking “world shattering” DE spawn 30 times within an hour.
World shattering events should indeed take a longer cycle to happen. They should be weekly, or maybe twice a week in a total different time table.
Anyhow, back on your comment, if you did that and you are feeling the game as NO FUN, then remind yourself it is a game and it is supposed to be fun.
I had that feeling while playing Rift. Loved the 8 soul trees, loved being able to change specc, loved how they handle the game, but lore and graphics didnt grow on me…

All they could do is to decrease the frequence of NPC chats or add far more of those.
It feels alive to listen to idle chatter, but it can’t happen that frequently, or if it does, make it diffenrent.

Some people want just more WoW. And MoP will give them more WoW.
I believe there are valid concerns that needs adressed but it gets overwhelmed by complaints about people that had wrong expectation about GW2.
From vanilla to WotlK I raid hardcore. Loved it. But I only did it because it was in me to down a new objective, learn a new fight and get that new gear that gave me status.
Numbers were just a trick. My dps at vanilla, if memory serves me right, was 700? Dont remember, really. On WotlK it was 7k. My “gear progression” didnt really matter as a boss had the same HP output scaled.
What allowed people to down bosses was to have gear to meet the said scaling and coordination.
That forced us to do “farm nights” to get new players to the minimum gear level to progress.
Now we dont have to farm that. Downing a new instance is fun and hard, that’s really cool knowing that you outplay somebody else that couldnt do it. The word is exactly that: you play better because status are all the sameish.
GW2 needs expansion and adjustments, that I garantee you. Dungeons need to be more rewarding, doing all 4 explorer mode should net you something cool, even if it is only cosmetic (because that’s where all gear progression narrows down eventually… till next insane nerf and every one gets it as well).
I see issues with GW2 that needs adressing, but I have a lot of fun in the current state, I actually partake on events based on how well scripted and written it is, but there are far too many people expecting what wont happen and they are just poluting our forums with that.
It’s like expecting a cow laying down some eggs. Go get a chicken.
The cost isn’t high but is there any good reason for a cost to exist at all? I think having a cost to respec at all damages a good game.
Having the ability to change up whenever we want would let us better see the effects of different builds and strengths and make it easier to see the depths and tactics to everything in the game instead of having people rely on one thing all the time. (like the five sig warrior)

go to the mists and test your spec in there.
All respecs are free, all weapons are available at same power, there are fire to tests healing, npcs to test dmg.
Come back to the real world with a good idea!
Try dungeons on explorer mode and you’ll see you either are a team player or you won’t be able to do it at all.
And by team means actually resapeccing to be able to support, actually coordinating and actually L2P

Hi, I apologize if there is a way to do that outside adding them to friend list.
But it would really help on creating a balanced group if we could see class/level of whoever sent us a whisper.
Even guildmates in guild tab doesnt have that option.
There is a LFG tool, people just don’t understand how to use it.
Hit Y and flag yourself as LFG. However, the flaw is that you can’t see that person level NOR what dungeon/mode he wants to run.
A good way would simply expand it to Aion style. A simple and effective way.
Allow people who wants to LFG post it. And it also allows parties to post that they need more.
Nothing automatic, you still have to talk to each other.
The problem we have, however, is that there are no global chats, so everyone is forced to stick by the instance or Lion’s Arch, making most of the other major cities considerably emptier.
Personaly, I always found groups for what I wanted and love it’s current challenge.
But rewards needs to be tuned up indeed, at least to a way that you want to run all 3 explorer pathes, where harder pathes earn more tokens or money.

Loving the game and I love dungeons are hard.
People shouldnt be able to blow through content with half brain.
My fixes would allow tokens be account bound (player behind it is the one who deserves it) and would always, to all dungeons, have a version of it, with unique pathes/events, tuned up for 80s
I just find silly not being able to properly hit a HUGE trebuchet while standing right on top of it.
Same happens on those burrows at AC Exp mode. If I dont stand on top of it (or inside of it, if it spawns where I am), most likely I’ll miss.
On Howling King Path, for example, there is a particular burrow that is close to impossible to hit as melee — with your back to their stairs on the event room, to protect a guy while he does some research, the burrow at the upper left corner of the map.
On the third explorer mode, on that event where you have 2 protect 2 objects while it’s run it’s analyzes for that silly asura, not being able to proper hit an object, even though I’m standing on top of it, makes that place FAR too taxing on melee.
I either get lucky or AoE between CDs.
The easiest fix is just to change it’s hit box, make it either bigger or better placed.
