The only fix they need is to put a mystic fountain at the end of the darkroom just before the little arena with animals in it, then you can basically stealth through the whole puzzle.
As a thief I get through the puzzle no matter the odds stacked against me, stealth ftw!
I think these legs are cute Dog legs.
But yes, I too wish Thief had more light armor looking legs and chests though.
I know that glass cannon builds are suicide but I just want a challenge after I’ve played since beginning on my mesmer
It is not suicide playing a glass cannon as thief, its more like playing a wrecking ball destroying people, who end up in the forum complaining that we are to strong.
Have fun, I know I do.
Thief is fun, 400 hours of thief play.
My educated guess would be that it is bugged. Because that what http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Shadow_Protector says!
My pleasure!
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/PvP_Leather_armor_ <—- Also called Duelist armor on tradepost. level70+ exotic
Different names in PVP and in PVE, so its no wonder you didnt find it.
Is anyone know how to get this armor for thief? I know it’s not the culture armor. I saw someone wearing it in the game (maybe a norn, or a mistake for a human) Does it looks like for all race or just for human?
Yes, that is the Male version of Duelist armor, a level 70something to 79 exotic medium armor. Just go to the trade post and type in Duelist. Look is for all male races, female is different.
Cost about 60-90 silver per piece.. im using it, looks awesome
Its not as easy to just go and check the PvP locker, the PvP locker does not show how the weapon actually looks when you hold it in your hand.
I will make it easy for you, tier 3 cultural weapon from asura, peacemaker shortbow is 63k karma and it have a purple glow, its big and it glows. Unless you have like 500gold to waste on a shortbow skin, theres no other cool and cheap glowing bows out there.
And dont tell me you do not like glow… everyone likes glow
Otherwise for abit more coin Corrupted shortbow, currently at 40g It has an awesome blue glow to it.. like ghastly weapons, but it always glows, both night and day.
Destroyer shortbow looks magma/fire-ish and it has a fire glow to it and its up at 50-80g if i recall.(not sure on price)
Then at higher price at 500g theres a bow called Aether, it looks pretty awesome.
ha ha ha, In my opinion WASD movement is superior, you cant even reach the number bar with your setup.
Nice thanks for the info, now I know that I can stealth then steal on someone for backstab, i didnt know that
That picture was truly disturbing, i couldnt tell what was up and down at start, cool optical illusion.
Water looked like the sky and your character was standing on his head.. wow im dizzy now x_x
You buy it on the Trade post, each item cost about 60-90 silver(at this date) and theres a big chance you wont find all the set pieces as berserker at that price. But that doesnt matter, you use a fine transmutation stone to put the duelist armor look on your level 80 Berserker Emblazoned armor, Emblazoned armor is the only level 80 medium armor that has berserker stat.
Ah well since nobody answered, Im gonna answer my own question!
The statement i quoted was from this forum when i searched on sigil of accuracy. I think this statement is wrong, because I just tested this in Heart of the mists and the Sigil of superior force which gives 5% damage, gives 5% damage to all skills no matter what hand it is in, so i think the 5% crit is for all your skills no matter what weapon you put it in.
The crit thing is very hard to test because 4% vs 9% crit is barely noticable.. but putting the 5% damage gave clear proof to this theory. My assumption is that these runes work the same.
Permanent stat bonus Sigils:
Info: Stat bonus Sigils increase the effectiveness for the skills associated with the weapon the Sigil is on, without further requirement.
Dual Wielding: Two Stat Bonus Sigils have the same effect as one, but on all Weapon skills. Using only one Sigil gives the bonus only to the skills relatet to the weapon the Sigil is on (1-3 for the main hand, 4-5 for the offhand).
List of the Sigils:
- Sigil of Accuracy [increases critical chance by 1% / 3% / 5%]
- Sigil of Force [increases damage by 1% / 3% / 5%]
So My question is what happens when I have this Sigil in my main hand and use a skill that uses both weapons for example Thief dual wield skill Unload. Does the whole skill get 5% more crit or only half the hits, or.. no effect at all?
Haha, I love it. My next alt is Warrior, HERE I COME!
I think unless you only do WvsW(which the thread is about so LOL) and nothing else condition is fine, BUT i go farm Ruins of Orr daily and Condition just doesnt cut it in PVE and i do not wanna RESPEC 2-3 times a day everytime I go WvsW which is 90% rest of the time.
Just a Quality of life thing…
And the line of sight with pistol against enemies with pets or minions, guards etc just piss me off to much…
Just a simple tip that most other thieves do not know.(from a dualwield dagger view):
Cloak and dagger is a wonderful skill! use it everytime you are going to finish a downed player, since nobody sees you nobody will try to interupt you. (Example: Finish a downed player while 2 are ressing him and 5 others are just standing next to them watching other stuff)
Dancing daggers is a Beast when fighting 2 enemies close to each other. It bounces back and forth between them 2 which equal the same damage as a heartseeker does on a target below 50% health ,but on both of them. (Example: Ranger with his pet next to him, makes you get the ranger from 100% health to 0% after 3-4 daggers which takes around 4 seconds, another example is when 1 player is completely dead and 2 others are trying to ress him and you pop all your initiative on dancing dagger spam they both go from 100% to 0% and are now themself need of a ress
)
I didnt know these stuff when i started. I thought both of them were pretty useless and heartseeker was the one and only skill you needed.
Thats just super simple things that really can change your day. But the most important thing is experience, Play.. play and play more and you will become a good player.
What is missing on your link that makes your stats so much lower than what you say you have?
Attack: 2126 , Crit: 4% , Armor: 2477 , Health: 23022
Where do you get 25% crit when you have full focus on power vit thougness gear?
just wondering since im intresting in building the same but need to know what you actually use and what is your stats :P
The Tier 3 human cultural dagger “seraph” is quite small and looks cool its light colored, the golden dagger that you can buy from CM tokens is exactly the same as seraph dagger but black. Those are the only small daggers i know of that actually look kinda cool, theres more daggers that are small but isnt my kind of thing, so i recommend doing as Kaizer said, go to Heart of the mists and preview daggers, but it doesnt really do the weapons justice though.. since glow and stuff only shows when you hold the dagger in your hand.
I was thinking of farming a set of armor from SE for the Power/Prec/Toughness stats. It is basically identical to CoF gear but you sacrifice Crit damage for toughness.
How much does toughness really help for thieves? Any of you stack it and see a noticeable difference?
Any clue on a good toughness rune for our thief armor? Or BiS toughness accessories?
Thoughts and opinions? I am thinking that we might be able to still run glass cannon builds, but have more survive ability with a little stacking of toughness.
Just a warning, The damage loss is great from dropping +crit damage, you will feel like your attacking people with a wet noodle, if you are used to glasscannon high crit numbers, thougness is gonna disapoint you.
I bought exactly the whole set of gear that you are thinking of.. i salvaged it the next day. Because you dont feel that much tougher but you feel weaker.
The thing is, for example shortbow clusterbomb crit people normaly 4-5k and above.. but with the toughness gear i crit 2-2.9k that really made me feel useless.
You can try it out, maybe you like it, seems like some do
Just one question: What weapon skins are you using? those blue glowing things look great
Just for your information, it does not matter if you put it on your main hand or offhand as long its equipped you will gain 1 stack per kill.
