I like this talk of numbers.

We took on the coordinated 25man [HH] guild this morning when they had everything in EB, with 5 NSP people.

No. Not 5 guildies all in vent and talking.
Just 5 regular average joes following their commander.

We were wiped.. I don’t even know how many times.
But eventually after a couple of attempt and building ram upon ram, we got into Klovan. Seems [HH] think they are too good to repair doors, thankfully. And we just walked around their spawn camp.

After we got that, people had a bit more hope. More of us started to come onto the map and stay there. Before we knew it we had 10 people and could do a breakout event.

Only reason we got Aldons was because the chaps in [HH] fell for the good old fake breakout. And literally as we capped it they appear at the aldons door, where we had to defend like mad.

5 AC’s later and we push them away.

We got our keep back by hold them at the bridge choke point with EVERYONE and having 2 people on rams in the back hitting the doors.
Even then we lost Klovan and had to recap it later on.

I mean.
Talk about numbers.

I’m sure GoM or HoD has 40 people online in their entire server. Go into Lions Arch like we do and ask people to come help.
NSP is a PvE server, but they like free karma too.
When we took back our third in EB, the [HH] guild just quit and left. You had people, but they just didn’t want to bother with us. So what were we supposed to do? Just wait for you guys to come back and defend?

Taking back EB with initially half a dozen people when against 25? I’m sorry but if you think we just strolled around and PvD’d and didn’t have to respawn two dozen times, then you’re truly bad and nothing can save you.

Look at the SS’s of us getting face rolled. There are a few in there.

I’m not a magician, no one can win every fight.
But wearing down the enemy until they just /quit is good enough.

It’s funny that Bird Song is saying that they’re feeding us badges. Every time I asked for help against them to wipe them (with him and his zerg) he said to ignore them and leave the base from the side.

I personally got a few badges from when they were camping, but once they left the base, I got tons more from them, because they were actually dying instead of just having one upleveled die because of stupidity.

Camping outside of a spawn is unsportsmanlike. Sure, we’re ahead, and sure I knew inside that we’d catch up, but it’s silly to throw a guild right outside a base during their off hours (my pic was posted and taken about half an hour before our day crew started logging on). It’s like kicking down a conglomerate and then putting it at gunpoint. Of course, it’s going to rebound, but it’s still silly.

And no, I do not represent NSP as a whole. I represent NSP as ONE PLAYER known as Esplen. If you are unable to see the difference, then your world is very ignorant. (You see what I did there?)

Walking around a spawn camp is the correct thing to do.
Take everything from behind and then attack them from the rear.

Doing anything else would be inefficient and quite irrelevant.

Spawn camping is fine in my eyes. Its an awful tactical move, but ok ^__^
Emoting off /laugh and /cheer is unsportsmanlike though.
And as shown thats what was being done.

They got what they deserved though. We wiped their zerg so many times they quit.

I find it…interesting to see posts about sportsmanship from the server that tanked their previous tier on purpose in order to drop to a tier in which they had no chance of losing.

You clearly don’t pay much attention to the large majority of the NSP server and WvW community who didn’t want to drop and gave themselves strokes to try and stop it.

Yes we all used them.

I did tell you guys that NSP and DH were both quite evenly matched.
When we had our full nightcrew of course. DH primetime is stronger than ours while we had a more round the clock presence.

I reckon if we fought each other now DH might tip the lead.
But we will see during the week how they fair.

Should be an easy fight for us at NSP since AR only knows how to play for second place.

You should put up a pretty good fight too, since you cant loose on purpose to drop into a lower tier.

There’s only one “o” on lose. It’s really not that difficult a word. You’d think AR would be better with that word considering how familiar it is to them.

But it was only one guild who decided to tank, and they probably learned that strategy from their time on AR. Remember, the only reason NSP stayed in T6 was because DH decided to tank while NSP continued to put up a fight.

You only put up a fight for 3 days. Then took 4 days off while Rob carried you for weeks. He took a week off and you dropped. His back must be hurting from carrying you guys in T6 for close to 2 months.

AR is in last on Wednesday morning. Points difference between NSP and first is less than 3k.

Well, how do the scores get there then? Well, the PPT for NSP is rather consistent across most time periods. The only real trends that come out are a dip around noon and right at the end of prime time (about 9pm). The other trend is that AR’s PPT has no relationship with NSP’s. Almost exclusively, movements in NSP PPT are offset by movement in BP’s PPT.

I’d ask you how it feels to be in the lead, but the last time that happened (by more than a few hundred points or so) for AR is on 2/13. I guess that makes NSP having a 3k point lead on 2/17 seem a bit more recent.

I have no real idea of what exactly you said.
But all I know is that I had work on that thursday and friday and couldn’t get on + other European nightcrew guys on NSP couldn’t connect to the server.
We were pulling all nighters that week to try and win for once.

If the maths is done the nightshift pulls in more points than the primetime.
In more cases than not I double the nightcrews point gain.

Thats a lot of points over the week since I’m online daily.
Also sets up the rest of the day by flipping keeps/towers and upgrading our own.

I doubt it would be back to AR, I personally don’t have anything against Ronny or TCMM, but coming back to AR would not be a wise choice in terms of enjoyment. I think there would be a lot of animosity towards TCMM, and I’m sure they would have animosity towards some other AR guilds.

The problem with NSP is a certain guild who inherited the server because all guilds left. They believe they own the server and dont understand that peeps play for fun and that they dont answer to a certain guild. When you here things like APPROVED Commaders, you just want to laugh. They get upset if you put your commander tag on in wvw because they afraid pugs will leave them for the other commander, i stated if you are so good pugs will follow you no matter what other commander tag is on. Pugs followed them in the past because that was there only option. Certain attitudes need to be fixed here b4 NSP can get better. God i hope they can open upen server transfers for free for one week because i dont see things getting better here for a long time

I’ll be blunt. When I read stuff like this, I wish a certain guild hadn’t transferred to NSP. I’m not mentioning anyone by name, so there is no reason for this to be removed. This guild thinks they can fix everything, because they are so good, but the impression of this certain guild is sub-par.

That is when you are juggling three separate attacks with trebs and siege and golems being built behind, with a zerg breaker team sneaking around the hill to flank and arrows pouring out of the sky onto everything.

On the contrary, those are the most fun times to command.

Gives me a headache, too much stress.
And if you are not stressed during a fight like that, then its not a very hard one.
Play to win. You lose that fight, your zerg is scattered and crushed.
Meaning you’ll start losing your towers which you’ve just taken.

You guys make it sounds so epic. It truly is and is why I want to be one, if only if only, when your a commander it isn’t only cause you drop 100gs on the Doritos Bling. If only it meant more. Like Work they have put in. Along with skills/Kills. So it’s more like a leaderboard. Highest maybe…6 Ranks are Commanders. If they start getting Lazy or Fkin up. Next in line takes Their Place as Commander. Thanks for all the advice as well. Because good commanders aren’t raking in the kills, they are commanding.
You read the map, you watch your supply levels, you watch your enemy movements you receive reports from scouts and deal out your own orders to micro groups while leading the main body towards the least defended side of an objective or the blind spot in its siege.

Number of kills means very little tbh. I don’t know why people seem to keep score by it.
I’m a healer support Guardian, and I have what.. 8k kills for 6months of daily WvW?

I mean, some thief could come up to me and be like, “lul nub I have 50k kills i iz so much betterz”

Then I’d roll over him with the zerg, cap all the towers and win the WvW match.

In actual fact, my job is to try and not pull every defender on the map to me. I try and avoid having too many enemies, makes getting the points a lot easier.

Thats how I see it anyway, there should be a special commander achievement with total captures when commanding. Then you get the title “Ultimate Commander”

I roam each night, and I switch between BP and NSP BL.

Each night we have people pushing in both BL, the difference is in NSP it works, in BP we get pushed back.

There is nothing we can do about it.

Should we focus all our force on BP? While they can send a low % of theirs to NSP and get easy points (easy because they have more ressources, nothing about skills) and win? WE can’t do that. That would be kitten from us.

I have witnessed a lot of attack from AR on BP this week.

I wonder what you would do in the same case Rob?

By the way, another thing thaqt doesn’t help. While a commander from AR was attacking a BP tower in BP borderland, I decided to join them. We were around 10-15, fighting about the same number of BP, but for once we were winning.

Then what we see? PAXA + SPLT come in with culling, and kitten the AR force from behind. That’s the kind of thing that I’m sure doesn’t help NSP case.

And by saying this I have nothing again PAXA/SPLT, because I would do the same because I don’t care about score. But others from AR do, and they will switch to NSP BL when it happens.

I’ve been there, we have similar sized zergs. Its not that we were outmanned, you just can’t stop two different teams both with the same numbers at once.

What I would do?
If I were in AR’s shoes, I’d been gunning for first place of course.
And that would mean hitting the top point gainers.
I’d cut the trolling and hostility with the third party server, so that they wouldn’t attack our rear out of spite, and hit the top boss.
Which would decrease their point gain and increase my own.

If the third wheel server decided they still wanted to attack myself, I’d have to run the zerg back and repel them. But then I would push back into the leaders zone.
Eventually the third wheel servers get the message, and will attack the leader also due to it being less defended. You can speed up this process with prompting via your friends on said third wheel server, as is available to all Commanders.

That is how you WvW to win.
You fight the hard fight for first place, the easy fight is always second place.
BP does this, they take the challenge. And that is why they win.

Maybe I might not be as pleasant as I used to be, I have the right to be grumpy after all.
But I still know how to WvW.

We’ve beaten you quite a few times.
We’ve also been in a higher tier from you.
Don’t you think that we’re maybe the older sibling whos taken a few too many hits and now his little brother thinks he can take his place.

If it takes two servers to push us out of this tier then it is no battle lost.
None of the three servers could compete with that. Never mind the lessor one.

But on a side note.
Not having to Command is great.
And being a new colour would also be great.
Attack from Red keep gets very boring week after week.

I’m happy you will go down a tier, maybe then I will see the old Rob come back.

And I thought we were done with the double team thing already. NSP and BP tried it on AR last week, it doesn’t work.

The only reason NSP BL is always under attack, it’s because it is easier to take then BP or AR BL.

I roamed in both Borderland yesterday, and while NSP had a good zerg in their, they didn’t have any upgrade and they still had less people then BP.

On BP BL, as soon as you attacked a camp, you would see 15-20 players come and chase you.

Man I have been zerged so bad yesterday in BP BL, it was terrible. They have so many people in their BL that they can send 15 players to chase 1-2 roamers in the water south of the camp, where there are no objectif at all.

NSP aren’t going down a tier because they are double teamate, NSP is going down a tier because they don’t have the number/power to stay there.

Simple as that.

I’ve already posted my evidence, and its not flawed.

Keep in mind that this was the most balanced matchup for months.

Xfers don’t play a role anymore, either. So thats not a reason this week.

Quite a number of weeks of crap does that to you.
You forget that I still had the vast majority of my friends on the server at the start.
