And infact none of our golems were dmg’ed on the outer gate. Since we sweeped everything and then just built more.

yes/no.. you would have to have done a certain amount of poorly. Not all third place are equal and perhaps GoM players would’ve put in more effort into raising their final score had they known the goal post was going to be moved on them.

Instead of doing measures like this which are tailored to the lower tier only why not do this:

Lower cap on WvW maps by 25-33%. This will cause queues to come back to Tier 1-2/3 forcing people to transfer off the bandwagoned servers and server populations to balance out through tiers until it trickles down. Do this and don’t be afraid of the kittening and moaning of people who CHOSE to go to servers stacking regions. This will also solve the skill lag issue in upper tiers that doesn’t show up as often in lower tiers because of lower population.

Lower tiers won’t be affected with this because they don’t have the population but will get new recruits form upper tiers who can’t do WvW because for 1-2 hr queues during weekdays.

Please anet be the bad guy for a week & fix skill lag and balance out pops in lower tier with one step!

What about the PvE servers whos WvW is empty yet server pop is very high?
Those servers wouldn’t get the xfers, for instance, my server. Even though we are low tier.
That and people have server loyalty? You know. The guys who would rather suffer months of losing than to bandwagon off.

Remember that this is merely a band-aid solution for now. One that will hopefully return some movement between T7 and T8. For it to be permanently solved will require more work and time. But, this should make things better for now.

Just add new siege golems that once built can break down the walls between a neighbor tier.

These golems should be like a server monument. Containing 500 Omega golems, 50 Superior ballistas and like 10,000 extra supply ontop and built/upgraded like a big mobile keep.

Oh course you played Supreme Commander and have watched Tron! Pic attached.

Or its smaller alternative.
5 Omega golems stack, new 6th skill appears and they morph into a.. transformer, basically.

Well, if we’re speaking in accordance to T8, I think any of the current T7 competitors would just absolutely demolish it. SF are the only real threat in that tier, and they were easily beat out by HoD even when we had a very low population compared to them. They seem to boast a lot about how they deserve HoD’s spot in our tier, but for some reason no one’s managed to push us down yet.

I think SF will powerhouse through this tier and they shouldn’t be under estimated.

Well its probably the same deal, but without War Machine.

Neighbor servers are all really quite similar, and if SF is roflstomping only a tier below us? Then they’ll either be equal or greater than us.

HoD is clearly stronger than it used to be, thats plenty of evidence to show of what a bit of time and a few xfers can do.

And trust me, SF will be getting those transfers too, since people uptop will be thinking Kaineng 2.0 easy month of win and Wexp.

I’m guessing it would depend on how much of an attempt at real tactics takes place. it seemed to me last night that both HOD and NSP were essentially running karma trains with little to no desire to hold and fortify, at least when I’m playing. Either that or badge, and not points, hunting.

NSP (lots of Os, but others there as well) made an effort to defend both GoM garrison and GoM hills last night. Not sure what map you were on, but we had some good fights in GoM BL.

I think even if we keep winning like this it’ll be a week or two longer before HoD is in a position to move up. Obviously we’ve gotten transfers so our coverage is better now, but we’ve been playing a strong game outmanned for the previous couple months.

It feels like overall we have mixed opinions about moving up. We’ve been in T7 a long time and I think quite a few people enjoy it here. We’ll see I suppose. I can only hope for a slightly more civil forum thread, since this mess has kept me from posting the last couple months. (I remember DH being nice people, not sure about IoJ)

I’d think more 3 weeks to pending never. Tier 6 is hard to get into it seems and it could take one of the 3 servers to totally plummet before HoD can move up.
Sorrows Furnace seems well and truly trapped in tier 8 and I think that we’ll suffer something similar.

After all, it took NSP to totally nose dive to be put into this tier which rejuggled tier6. Same sort of scenario will most likely need to happen.

Either that or you win by half a mill.
