Funny thing, this is, as, by what Anet said in the HoT sale info, every prepurchaser should be invited to any future HoT beta events. Apparently, it’s not the case.

They just won’t use the word “beta” to get around it.

Those who pre-purchased, they have your money already anyway so they have very little incentive to care about what you think.

Doubt you’ll get a rollback or your items replaced but SilverWastes is still out there and there’s good gold to be made. Spend some time there, just a bit everyday maybe even meet some people have some fun and you will be able to replace the items you deleted in time and you’ll get back into the swing of the game. On my light armor classes I pretty much keep mango pies on all the time but other then that I save food and oils for Dungeons and Fractals since I’ve only recently started doing them and don’t know the way they work yet.

Anet will do what works for them, and they have the figures on that we don’t. I liked that players got to farm for a Beta invite it gave players a chance to either farm for it or not, unlike the first Beta where selection was completely random, I image people who didn’t even play the game anymore received invites to the first Beta. If threads like this prove anything it’s that a certain percentage of players will always find something to feel aggrieved over.

I read through the complaint threads listed what I saw was a handful of the same posters complaining again and again because they couldn’t play on date set for the closed Beta test. Beta tests are not set up for the players, they are for testing the game, your convenience is of no importance, AT ALL. The sooner people realize that the sooner they can get that chip off their shoulder and get back to enjoying the game, if they can’t or won’t maybe they just need to move on, period.

Pre-ordering HoT is paying to play the Betas and I know some people who pre-ordered just for that reason and there is still the matter of 6 hours of a stress test, which had very limited content versus 48 hours of a Beta event which I image will have a lot fewer limits. I am sorry for the people who could find the time to farm SW but for whatever reason couldn’t or didn’t take part in the Stress test but like you said no one is owed anything, especially if it could impact people who actually paid to play the Betas.

Considering the first Beta test had about the same hours and wasn’t on a weekend I have no idea why anyone would consider it deceptive to schedule the second stress test the exact same way. People had to spend time in SW to farm for a Portal, frankly that’s just not a big deal and asking for a Beta weekend, a whole weekend, to “make up” for missing a stress test that at best would have given you 6 hours in a very limited area under very controlled conditions is asking for a bit much. Good luck who knows maybe Anet will but I would understand if people who’ve actually paid to be in the Beta testing weren’t happy with that decision at all.

So if OP got what he wants then anyone who got the Portal would be able to access a Beta Weekend whither they pre-purchased HoT or not? Basically it would take away 1 of the bonuses of pre-purchase, I don’t see that as a good thing.

The closest thing to open PvP, or whatever you want to call it, would probably be ganking people in the Obsidian Sanctum JP. Then again no-one goes there, for the jumping puzzle anyways.

I went there for the JP many many times finally gave up because I got tired of being ganked. Once I was almost done when a player came after me I asked to please just let me finish, I won’t even put up a fight, but no he had to kill me knowing I’d either have to lose my place and start all over to fight or die and then he took great pleasure in dancing on me. I will never PvP to many of the players there are twisted toxic just plain gross.

isn’t there a pretty big difference between a single closed time restricted beta stress test and a whole Beta Weekend ? If I were a player who had been lucky enough to find a Portal and then used it at the correct time I think I would be correct in feeling cheated if another player who didn’t, for whatever reason, participate in the restricted beta stress test got a whole Beta Weekend. What OP is asking for isn’t fair to the players who used their Portals correctly.

You of course are free to think whatever you like I personally hate a couple of the Legendary effects and would like to be able to turn them off, but I doubt that is on the Devs to do list and I can live with that.

I’m not suggesting Anet turn off the Legendary effects, I’m suggesting giving players the ability to turn them off. Options are good.

I’ve got ascended drops put back, weapons and armor, lvl up Tomes and lots of mats just in case they finally decide to do something with Jeweler and Cook, BTW if they don’t I for 1 will riot in the most passive aggressive way I can find. I have a character slot ready and waiting and I’ll be sure to stock up on freezer meals since I’m the one who cooks here Tuesday can’t come soon enough, really setting on hands is getting tiresome

I would like an option to not see legendary effects, especially in larger groups, I know there are probably some ppl who would like to not hear personal toy effects, Tron I’m looking at you, my guy hate that little motormouth. I have no problem with you seeing what you played so long to achieve, options are nothing but good.

Won’t a Sigil and Rune Library devalue Sigils and Runes even more then they already are?

An account with ascended crafting on it could craft inscriptions and produce some time gated mats, like Bolts of Damask. OP certainly asked a very interesting question

Got the Crossing from farming Champs at Jormag a few weeks ago sold really quick don’t remember for how much shared the proceeds with my guy and our daughter who also play. I’ve been playing a little over a year and I love this game, luck or no luck

I remember Free Trial weekends, and that’s not a good memory, gold sellers enjoyed it just to to much.

I did, 1 full set with Vitality stats, I still have it on my 2nd account I accidentally deleted it on my primary account and CS was no help but yea full set of armor and 1 set of skins.

It’s not just a skin, it’s a set of armor with stats that can be used by any character that can wear that armor class, BTW it’s great for key runs , or at least mine is.

I think it would be useful if members had some control over who can Whisper them. Players on my friend list, Guild members sure Whisper away, someone on the same map, maybe if I’m feeling very social, but that should be my decision. Right now we have 2 options turn off Whisper altogether or leave it open for anyone, a little bit of control sounds like a good idea to me.

Easiest sure fire way that’s worked for me is to put it in your Bank and then use one of your other non Charr toons to take it out, you’ll know right away what you can save and reuse and what to break or forge.

Nothing against outfits, although I’ll never buy one, why can’t we have both in the TP? I understand outfits are easier and faster to turn out so how about giving us an armor set once every 3 or 4 times outfits are released?

I’m still new to Dungeons so I generally use LFG I prefer the Everyone welcome groups, sometimes I even start my own. I don’t have a problem with the ppl who know what they want in a group, personally I respect them for being honest and upfront about it and I respect them enough not to join where I’m not wanted and probably won’t be as useful as the player they are looking for. A little bit of common courtesy goes a long way in RL and in game too more players should considering brushing on on that trait IMO.

I’ve been waiting for the WvW Spring Tournament waiting and waiting it’s Spring already time for a Tournament and I don’t even think I like WvW, not sure about it yet to be honest but I know I would like a Tournament already

A second account is so worth it, Laurels, storage, a second for your personal Guild Bank just in case you accidentally leave it and being able to play privately away from your main Guild or family or friends just for some peaceful roaming. I am so happy I have 2 accounts.

IMO and granted I’m just a newbie but I’d go with exotics until I knew my playstyle, especially my tired and should have went to bed hours ago playstyle really well. Again just my opinion but the trinkets you chose are as if not more important then the armor you use. Ascended trinkets, at least from my math give more bang for the buck and useless you have lots and lots of Laurels they take longer to earn.

Spring Tournament 2014 screenshots a little bit out of date or am I missing something?

Some of us actually look forward to the Double Fractal days and wouldn’t mind if they came around even more often.
