Wasn’t the other 100 expansion threads enough?

“Expansion”, it seems is the new mounts/raids/inspect/<insert tired topic here>.

Enough with the spam already, OP.

It’s funny how people complain about repeat topics but continue to view and reply on those topics. You are not exactly making it better. I honestly don’t care. I also would love to see an expansion.

There was no way to know this was another expansion thread by the title, and I guess we need to break out the Dead Horse again

I was wondering if they put really dark outline around those notes falling down would that help you see them? Since the differential between the color on the note and the stage would have a circular line around it showing it off in better detail, if this is so I would back you up on that suggestion. But alas it would be to late to get them to implemented into the game this year.

That might help but a dark line around the inner circle might work just as well and be easier to add in, and thanks for not blowing me off

I am curious are you color blind, and if so do you see the things moving down to the bottom or is it like its one solid thing?

Yes I am color blind and I see lighter shaded things moving down the area but it’s very difficult for me to tell when they pass from one color to the next. I’ve tried it more then a few times and I’ve been unable to finish even the first easy piece of music. It stinks and I do feel a kitteneated by the way this was set up. I certainly wouldn’t have spent time doing 30 rounds of Snowball Mayhem if I had known it didn’t count towards the Festival, what a waste of time that was.

Click on the meta achievement and do the ones on the list.

Thanks but I’ve done everything I’m capable of doing and it looks like I just won’t finish the Festival, I tried, I failed, I’m not wasting anymore playtime. The Bell thing is color coded, so for me that’s out and I’ve tried and tried but I haven’t managed the JP yet and even if I did 15 times is a bit much. I would have liked the Laurels and the AP for the Festival but that’s the way it goes. I’ll be more careful of how I spend my time where this game is concerned in the future and at least I won’t waste time doing Tixx.

I’m sorry this new system doesn’t work for you but I am nothing short of thrilled that it works so well for so many people who now won’t be held back by a time gated currency.

I feel that to be a better system as it doesn’t reward check in log out behaviour and more rewards actively playing.

Believe it or not there are people who have such busy lives that on some days they don’t have time for anything but logging in saying Hi to game friends and logging out and even that might be cutting into time they have to little of. I love the new system for them, they aren’t losing out on the 1 currency that can only be gotten 1 way, Anet IMO was thinking of all their players not just the dedicated able to play every single day player. Thank you Anet for giving them the chance to get Laurels too.

This is one example of an invisible bag, you can buy then from the trade post or craft (armorsmith, tailor and leatherworking can craft bags), but i think you cant access the trade post at lower lvls, you will have to lvl up a bit to unlock that feature.

You can use the TP at any level.

If you are going to join your friend’s world server, you either way has to buy Gems, then transfer your account for some amount depends on which server you’re choosing.
You may also transfer your account for free IF, you delete all your characters, which will include all your items, (I think), which will make you to be able to move your account for free to your friend’s world server.

You don’t have to delete your items just put them in your Bank, the one you access from a crafting table not your Guild Bank, your collections metal, wood, foods, orbs etc. will travel just fine too.

In the end if you want something in the game you do what is required to get it. People who want Legendaries craft run Dungeons do World completion and grind for mats and gold like crazy and I’m willing to bet many of them hated at least 1 of those things every bit as much as you hate crafting but they wanted the Legendary enough to do what was necessary to get it. I hate Fractals hate them with a passion but I wanted Mawdrey and I did them because that was the price for me getting want I wanted. Wanting something in this game comes at a price you either pay it or you don’t.

I didn’t even mention the Augur Stone that requires Skill Points to purchase another crafting mat that can not be brought with gold. I don’t have a problem with the mats required to craft it is doable if you take the time to play the game and don’t have a, have to have it right this minute, mentality maybe that is why is bothers me so much when posters talk like crafting is just something you can whip out your wallet and do.

Just give us something else. [/quote]

No you can’t. Empyreal Fragments Piles of Bloodstone Dust and Dragonite Ores can not be brought and you need large qualities to craft ascended, Obsidian Shards can be purchased for large amounts of Karma and as a player with a relatively new account I can tell you Karma can be a chore to collect, so all of these items take time and lots of playing the game to collect. Time at the crafting table is just 1 small part of ascended crafting acquiring the mats to do the actual crafting is a big time commitment and shouldn’t IMO be discounted the way you have. I understand you don’t want to craft but please don’t assume that crafting Ascended is something you can just pull out your wallet and buy because you can’t.

Well, there are other options.

Ascended Weapons tokens for doing certain task.

World Completion? Weapon Token
Level 80 in PvP? Weapon Token
Level 40? Fractal? Weapon Token

Things that are attainable.

That, or ascended weapons chests, allow you to choose the stats. I got a ascended armor drop. With clerics stats.

Ascended weapons are barely 1 step down from a Legendary, they should not be available so easily, IMO. I’m not saying that crafting is the only way you should be able to get them, maybe crafters selling them might be Ok, or maybe it would kitten up the economy, I don’t know but nothing on your list measures up, in my opinion.

Roundabout.1752

Realistically, it is actually very possible (and practical) to gain a majority of fighting experience from a professional trade such as crafting. If someone were to spend a lot of time making weapons, surely they would know how to use said weapons once they become an expert—or lv400-500. If someone where to spend a lot of time dealing with magical trinkets or enchanted clothing like the tailors do, an expert would surely be able to hold his/her own in a fight with their magical experience.

Nice try, but I don’t buy it. To get to 80 just playing takes me several weeks of fighting monsters. My Guildie can get to 80 in a day with the aid of crafting. You think that if you went out and spent several weeks in actual combat with your sword, it would be just as instructional as spending an afternoon making swords?

Does a race car mechanic who has spent a day putting together a vehicle know how to win a race just as well as a driver who has had several weeks of firsthand experience?

…Besides, it kinda falls apart when you consider that you can craft your way (mostly) to a level 80 adventurer in something like CHEF, which has very little to do with adventuring.

I want to meet this Guildie of yours.

As I recall, I was able to continue my Living Story episode, regardless of the succeeding or failing of the event. It was the participation in it that counted. Never did find a large enough group to succeed.

But yes, one must do what’s needed to advance the story by talking to NPCs, otherwise event participation won’t count.

Wait, you are saying that you never destroyed the Svanir totem? That seems like it is the requirement for advancing to the next cut scene.

You don’t need to do any of the events at Coiled as long as the Gates are open, you can go to the Totem find the spot to interact with it and continue the LS and I’m not guessing I know this for a fact because I’ve been in a party that did it.

I am telling you what I know from personal experience, you do not need to do the events to do the Living Story and using that as an excuse to go after people you call greedy is just being toxic, something I thought most people here are against. I’m sure waiting a few minutes until the event succeeds or fails is a tremendous burden on some, I mean it not like they can join in grab a few bags and enjoy themselves until it’s over, now it it?

Except for the part where the farming never ends… sure.

The farming does end when the events succeeds or fails the farming ends until reset.

I feel like you’re being purposefully dense here. And it’s really tells a lot about mentality of the so called community when people who want to play the game as it’s designed are the ones who are being called toxic.

Calling people greedy and belittling them because they don’t play the way you want them to is, what, if not toxic? People purposely going to events or areas they know people are farming and then doing everything they can to antagonize them is again what if not toxic? Until recently Coil was ignored by most people it seemed they mapped it and never went back unless they were looking for events for their Dailies or Monthlies. I can’t help how you feel and calling me dense well I’ll just leave that alone

You may not have to do the events to progress the Living Story, but someone has to do them so the gates open. Simple as that. If someone else hadn’t done at least the Coil Watch and Dolyak events, you would not have been able to get past the gates.

True, I’m not arguing that, I’m really not trying to argue about anything, just saying what I know to be true from what I’ve seen with my own eyes. I hope everyone has fun playing and if farming is fun for some, let them, I know no one likes to wait even a few minutes to get things done when they are on a mission to completion but seriously IMO people need to lighten up at least a little bit.

Using the Living Story as an excuse to grief the farmers is nonsense, you don’t have to even do the Coiled Watch events to do the Living Story just go there and find the spot to enter the instance. I just this afternoon did this with a friend of mine, no event going, at least be honest about why you’re going after the Farmers.

Actually you’re wrong. You have to do coiled watch because it’s the event that opens the doors so you can get in inside to the place where the story is.

Don’t like people interfering with your farm? Go somewhere else.

You can farm in other areas. You can’t finish the living story in other areas.

Greedy little farmers and their illogical arguments.

Actually you’re wrong and you apparently didn’t read what I posted. We weren’t farming we went there after doing the Giant Ooze to unlock a trait and then because 1 of our party had a green star on her map we went to Coiled. We did not do any events there because there weren’t any going on, perhaps the Doors stay open until the event resets, I don’t know I haven’t been there often enough to know how that event chain works I just know you don’t need the event to get the Living Story because we did it and did not do the events.

Thus, I can’t help but think that the hate comes from jealousy.

For me personally, all those Tags are usually just distracting, I wonder is there something going on I should rush to, other times they are just annoying like when I’m trying to WP but can’t because there are Tags completely covering the Wp with their multi color little triangles. I thought the whole purpose of tagging up was to Lead ppl in an event or help others when they need a hand in mapping or something like that. No jealousy involved just annoyance I would love the option to ignore all Tags and I hope Anet adds it soon.
