Yes, a lot are tied up in the personal stories, LW2, Dry Top and Silverwaste collections. I’m at a point where every track is waiting for points that will take me months even to get. 2000 gold for all the culture outfits? A near impossible JP? Teq and the TTW?

Yeah, not fun nor easy to obtain. Certainly not as easy as some in HoT.

For culture outfits, you only need a set of each tier for each race. You don’t need to buy every one of them.

and you can sell them back to the vendor and make a good bit of your gold back.

Linken has a great idea, it’s always a good idea to have a second in your Personal Guild bank, just in case you accidentally hit the wrong button and leave your guild.

I guess OP might have a point if Tools and Salvage ‘o’ matics were the only items that could be placed in the Shared slot, but they’re not so logic doesn’t apply.

Go back to the Legendary Npc. There you can buy your unlock recipes with karma and with some gold. No need to go through support.

True and it’s not like 5 gold is that much, but, I don’t want to pay it, twice. This system is flawed and has needed fixing since the game came out. Would it really be so hard to code it so that when you open a recipe it goes to the toon that has the ability to use it? or simply fix it so that the recipe can’t be opened until it can be used? This isn’t a new complaint it’s something that should have been addressed long ago.

I opened the recipe Tooth of Frostfang on the wrong toon. I hate having to bother support with such silly stuff, we really need a better system. I hope GW2 support can fix my kittened up stuff

I’m loving this Wintersday, probably because I’m only doing the things I like and everything thing else can go hang. Shoulders! Buh-humbug I would be bored with them in a week. Achievement points? Last year taught me well played and played doing stuff I couldn’t care less about if I tried only to find out I had to do Bell Choir, which I just don’t get it, so again Buh-humbug. This year I’m giving myself a present a Festival where I pick and chose what I’m doing and doing just because it’s fun.

Stars Wars will be spoiled that’s simply the way things work, if it’s not here it will be somewhere else. Sorry it matters to you but I really doubt there is a TOS infraction for that.

Let me be the first to say I love HoT mastery! It’s fun and totally not grindy. I wish I could say the same for Tyria. I have 9 level 80’s and am on the last tier of Tyria mastery and have run out of points. The only way I can get any more is to grind every story achieve which means doing each chapter more than 9 times over, spend 100’s of gold on cultural I don’t want or be forced into fractals, which only give a few points anyways.
Even though I have 100% map complete on 2 out of 9 level 80 toons , I wouldn’t mind mapping with toons that need it for points, or redoing jps or dungeons or at least something a bit more fun than endlessly redoing story chapters or spending a ton of gold on armor I don’t want. I thought anet wanted to take the grind OUT of the game-not put it back in with spades.
Disappointing and the end of my Tyria Mastery for now :O(

Your grind may be a bit more complicated then you thought.

Just as a heads up, the Mastery Points for Personal Story are awarded on a per-chapter basis. So once you complete Chapter 1 and earn the Achievement for it, you’ve earned the Mastery Point for Chapter 1. This includes each different starting storyline: I believe the right names are: Graduation Day, For The Legion!, Crime and Punishment, Rising to the Challenge, and Waking from the Nightmare. Similarly, whichever Order you join, there’s just one Mastery Point there.
Hopefully this helps clarify the total number of Mastery Points you should be expecting from your previous accomplishments in Tyria. That said, the different stories really are fantastic, and should definitely be experienced, but for your own pleasure, and not for Mastery Points.

Bank slots and Bag slots were on sale they were just bundled, I got 1 for me and my Husband did too.

You can buy the items that you need from sPvP off the TP.

The above poster suggested PvP for Dungeon Tokens since there aren’t a lot of players running Dungeons anymore, that’s what might tempt me, buying off the TP doesn’t bother me at all.

So very true a couple of my friends have very limited play time it really helps them that I have lots of stuff in my Home instance.

The only way I would bother crafting another Mawdrey is if I did a lot of Fractals, it is one of the easier items to infuse.

The blog post seemed set up to soften the blow when our jaws drop at the new drop rates.

I understand they probably have some ulterior motives, but on the face of it, this appears squarely aimed at destroying the income of the F2P accounts that get by primarily on farming and selling mats.

If anything I dont know why they dont just nerf the drop rate of generic blues/greens. Seems like an easier method.

When you use the Forge to change stats on Ascended Armor it gives you a totally new piece of armor, so if you have expensive Runes or infusions on your armor you’ll lose them.

Should you get it? Depends on what you plan to use it for, and how much you value convenience. I use mine for cleaning my bags after a champ run and farming my nodes but if I used it on my Sylvari it would be less useful because not all home instances have Vendors. I wouldn’t buy it just to farm my home instance and I don’t know that I would pay the current price, I got mine when it was on sale, so it comes down to personal choice.

I’m in no rush, the game isn’t going anywhere, I can wait until the bugs are repaired and hopefully find it in a box.

To free up Bank space and because we were told when we purchased the Enchantment Boosts that we would be able to select Karma. I didn’t luckily convert any Karma boosts because I have plenty of Bank space but I understand how that could be an issue for others.

i can understand converting the rest of your boosters for that reason, but if karma is what you want, isn’t that worth taking up 1 more inventory slot?

That is up to the person making the choice I didn’t convert Karma but I can honestly say I feel cheated by this move on Anet’s part and annoyed that they failed to even mention it in the patch notes or response to players. I also think that taking Karma Boosters without any notice that they can not be selected is misleading.

There is a Karma Boost at lvl 38 if that’s any help and as for the Forge Daily try using Lumps or Nuggets, Nuggets are my go to because you can, once in a great while get a Silver Doubloon.

You were given a free character slot as a veteran. Not saying it’s fair or equal but that’s what you got. I got a refund. First off the idea of a discount is not at all what I’m saying. I’m just saying it would be a way for a “free” person to go from Free to Core, say for $10 then when they upgrade to the expansion, they pay $40 dollars. They are still paying the total of $50 in the end for the expansion it would just be in two different payments. Heck even if they didn’t add the discount, it would still be nice to be able to upgrade from Free to Core. I think the absolute best way would be to just have the restrictions lifted if you bought gems, then you are still able to buy the expansion at $50.

I thought one of the reasons for the core being bundled was to remove divisions in the game, so why would they do something that adds to division? Their whole business model going forward is to remove player tiers.

Nope we’ll blame PvP because this game is balance around PvP no matter how few play it.

My Dad doesn’t play but my kids and my grandkids play it’s been a real blast and a great way to stay in touch. If your Mom is not into video games it might be kinda hard to get her to jump in. I read how for so many GW2 is so easy but when it’s your first, take it from me, it’s not easy and going from not playing straight to a MMO is a big leap to make.

4) click create api key

got to a site asking for the key and just copy and paste the key into the appropriate field

There is nothing else to do since the creation process already link to your account.

Nothing about costs of GW2 expansions, but mention of paid ‘expansions’ (campaigns) in GW1.

We were on the Sparkfly Fen map and the Daily did not pop the whole map, or at least anyone who had done Teq yesterday, missed out on the 4th chest and the Big Teq chest as well. I left the map and the Daily reset chest showed up. Boo Hiss

You either chose a city or you exit to Gendarrin, or at least that is how it has worked for me, no change if you log out to character screen either As in logging out doesn’t take you back to where you were.

We shouldn’t blame this on F2Players Anet restricted their use of the TP.

An F2P account can be unlocked by upgrading the account. Thus, an RMT/gold seller could employ an army of F2P accounts to farm keys and gather black lion tickets or other rare items, then upgrade each account when it hit critical mass.

The problem could have been dealt with much more elegantly by preventing F2P accounts from being able to get Black Lion Keys. The change they implemented went overboard and hurt legitimate players.

I guess that could happen seems like a lot of time and trouble to invest but I guess it could happen. I’m still not willing to blame F2Players for this, I know who I think is responsible and it’s not any player group.

Remember when they took drops out of the Personal Story? That affected keyrunners because all of a sudden we weren’t getting those extra mats and we couldn’t promote them for Gold or for personal use. I think perhaps keyrunners unbalanced the system Anet has set up to keep some mats in short supply. I’m not suggesting that is the main reason and I could certainly be wrong but I think it may be more then just skins and keys or even Anet’s bottom line.

I generally farm 1 key a day, now I’ll farm 1 key a week and play GW2 fewer hours, that may not be a bad thing, maybe even a good thing, time to play and do things that aren’t GW2.

So how come with the enchantment booster I hover my cursor over it and it says “Activate to choose a reward boost that will last for one hour.” but yet it has the experience boost and item boost listed in there and they only last 20 min. Plus I’m not surprised the karma boosts vanished, they did it before with the 750+ glory boosters I had accumulated which I had no way to use them all before they removed it because that was well over a month of play time in PvP. Support never refunded me for the glory boosts I purchased either.

The 20 minute Exp and Item boosters are the new improved versions the older ones are still 1 hour. I find it far more troubling that you can still exchange Karma boosters using the Enchantment powder with no notice that you can not chose Karma as 1 of the usable options, shady just shady.

I’m not assuming anything it will take him about 78 days to get through that batch of fragments. I don’t doubt he will generate more but it’s not like he wouldn’t have newly empty slots to put them in or he could just right click and Destroy, hard to do but it only hurts for a little bit.

the Star wont help you much with that hoarding. With the rate of getting empyrean from normal play and the daily limit that the Star can eat, you would most likely never be able to clear all that.

2 months with the Star would take care of it as long as you remember to feed daily.

Spirit Shards to money promote mats or build weapons in the Mystic Forge, wiki Eldritch Scroll there is a whole list of weapons you can forge. Karma to Gold buy blue light armor gloves from the Heart vendor in Bloodtide Coast, forge them, then salvage what you get for Linen rinse repeat that can take a while but it’s easy enough to do. Now where’s your TP flipping technique ?

Resold account? An account that was purchased by 1 person who either sold it or had it stolen and sold? Have I got that right?

Why the need to take it into PvP into the open world if you don’t want to do open world content?

Best thing I ever did was developing the habit of jumping map whenever I see them, you should try it, much better gaming times without them and their nasty attitude.
