Of course Taxi groups throw you out if you don’t leave on your own, you’re taking up a space they need to help fill the map.
I have 2 accounts and it makes things so much easier, especially if you tend to hoard, 1 account I use just for storage, Dailies and to collect the log-in rewards the other I play. If I had 1 account that was still low lvl and was upgrading to HoT I’d start a whole new account but that might not work for everyone.
You could make your own F2P account just to show him the ropes.
Useful site isitdownrightnow.com.
Aren’t spinal blade back pieces made in the Mystic Forge and therefore available to anyone?
The Ascended version requires the Gift of Blades and that requires crafting.
I’ve never understood the need for more bag space, I play hours on end and seldom get to a point where it’s an issue. On the other hand my guy is always, need a merch I’m full, I am so tempted to take a peek and see just what the kitten he’s hoarding. Play styles can be so different in this game but big bags and sending the stuff home works for everyone.
No, new people in the game is a good thing.
To never have to do Thaumanova Reactor again, oh joy!
The karma change sucked, and hopefully it was an insight more than an intentional change without notice.
But I see absolutely no problem with them not commenting on IGN’s leak. They have a schedule in place, a specific set of announcements to make. Particularly since said announcements are slated for a large reveal at a major event, I don’t expect them to spill the beans beforehand just because of a leak. Official info IS coming. And its only a few days away.
If the community wants to “tear themselves apart” over incomplete information when they only have to wait a few days for the official word, their problem, I say.
I think you meant,The karma change was an oversight and I hope you’re right but after speaking with CS it doesn’t sound, at least to me, like it was unintended. I’m not even sure how they could make that one right after so much time has passed?
Their decision to change a product I purchased without notice and without recompense will effect what I buy in the future. I guess their ignore it and it will go away policy works or at least they think it does.
They should add an achievement like “World & Mist” or something like that, for the people that did the whole World Completion the old, harder way. Maybe even a title, like “Been there, done that… and that too.”
I personally struggled like a month to complete the WvW part (I’m not very fond of WvW, or good at it…), and only 3 days later they announced we don’t need WvW completion anymore… I felt so trolled it made me laugh like a maniac for a hour.
I, personally, don’t care about titles maybe change the color of the star? I did World Completion the hard way on 1 of my characters and was really close on the rest of them and then they changed it and blam all my 80s had it and it just didn’t matter, it felt unearned.
I’m happy you got your stuff sorted and I know CS in this game is usually on the ball but it shouldn’t take coming to the Forum to get something so simple taken care of.
If you ask me they might remove the daily achievements as it has become to much of a daily task many people feel they must do, something that what not the idea of the daily when GW2 was released.
They where just supposed to make sure people would always be rewarded directly when start playing. Then I would rather see a default increased drop-rate (some thing like magic-find but reward wise more like the dailies) that apply to the first x loot you get. That would then make more sense imho.
I think removing Dailies would be a mistake, there are players in this game who are so causal that at times they really don’t have any idea what to do, dailies at least give them a place to start.
I think is that the average player out there doesn’t yet know about this. I’m betting a large section of the population is logging in, doing daily, some farming, some meta bosses, a dungeon or two. None of which they would be popping a karma booster to use, so they haven’t checked their old boosters and seen the karma was gone. When the expansion hits and we will be doing new events in the new maps, that’s when I expect to see threads appearing on the forum asking, “What happened to my karma boosters?” If the majority of the players noticing is later, slow and scattered, I think ANet figures they can ride it out and let the excitement of the new expansion cover up any complaints.
I think you’re right. I was with some RL friends playing game and none of them had a clue about what had happened with Enchantment Boosts or that Bonfires had been removed from the TP. Can they ride it out? It could happen.
If you decide not to use it on 1 of your toons, hold on to it anyway there may a use for it later.
We’re here on a forum talking about game and not playing game, bored, yeah.
Yep some pretty pricey stuff but that’s what happens when you don’t get in early . I brought the recipe for Sigil of Torment figured I’d make a bundle, thing is it costs so much to make I could have just skipped buying the recipe and farmed and sold the mats, I’d have been ahead. Who knows perhaps the recipes will turn up again Anet does that.
Kamara I wasn’t here for the Queen’s Jubilee, I’ve only been playing a little over a year, what recipes did I miss out on?
Some nights when I just can’t sleep I go to Kessex Hills turn my sound up and just look a the stars, not quite a sleeping pill but it helps, maybe you should try another map.
Crafting is a mat sink, learning to craft is an even bigger mat sink, mat sinks help keep the economy healthy so I can see why there is very little incentive for Anet to change account bound Runes, gear, food etc.
You can still get Karma Boosters from level up rewards so I don’t see how there exactly removed. Unless Anet overlooked level up rewards and this very post is a red flag and there next course of action would be to tamper with the system and change the level up reward boosters as well. Though that would mean they actually read the forums so I’m sure that those karma booster rewards will still be there for years to come.
Don’t bet the farm on getting Karma Boosts from leveling up, I had a lvl 22 when this patch went live and I immediately leveled her to 24 which should have given me the option to chose a Karma boost, it didn’t.
I agree with the posters who have suggested turning the charr into a Mule if CS can’t/won’t help you.
I can only speak for me but an explanation even if I completely disagree would be better then being ignored, and I’ll stop right there so I don’t say something I’ll regret later.
Why do people want more Karma btw? xD
You can use Karma to purchase Obsidian shards for Ascended armor/weapons and for your Legendary.
If anyone has ever been prevented from crafting those things due to lack of Karma could post commenting this so I can keep track of you, thanks.
I started crafting as soon as I started playing and for the first 4 or 5 months I played I was more often then not short on Karma. BTW what possible difference does it make to the subject at hand? A service we brought was changed without notice or recompense, players are ignored on the Forum, even in the Bugs folder surely the people responsible for support on the forum can do better then that it says a lot that they’ve just decided not to.
Hmmm. Lost about 3 of my posts from replying to now deleted posts. To recap one in particular.
Above all other things, ANet is a business. Above all other things, to them we are their customers. A business should never change a customer’s possessions without first checking if there is a way to lessen the effect of this change. And there was one easy way to lessen the effect of this change.
With the change to glory, ANet had a heads up post and gave the possessors of glory boosters a month to use them up. Why couldn’t they do the same in this situation? Any changes to the game that required the removal of the boosts are indoubtably many months away with the expansion release. It would have cost ANet nothing to give the month’s warning and gained them in less dissatisfied customers.
By changing items and not giving a heads up or an explanation why, it makes ANet appear heavy handed and clumsy in how they make changes and uncaring in how their customers feel about these changes. To unnecessarily annoy customers in this manner is one of the worse things a business can do. One of the messages this behavior gives its customers is caveat emptor, let the buyer beware. It makes them hesitate to make gemstore purchases, not only from general annoyance with ANet’s behavior but since they know changes can be made with no warning.
I couldn’t agree more. I know I am changing my buying habits and Christmas requests. I am one of those hard to buy for people and GW gift cards were something that friends and family knew would make me happy, now they know different. Trust is earned, it’s also burned, sometimes to a crisp.
I contacted CS and they responded very quickly, I was actually surprised at how quickly, Enchantment Boosts are working as intended and yes they actually used those words. Thanks to the CS team for their quick and polite response if only we could get that kind of help from their Community outreach people.
Why would we want to see more outfits? How about more actual mix and match armor that would be nice for a change.
I agree with Guhracie since it wasn’t included in the patch notes players have good cause to contact CS.
Planned to do Karka Queen, DC’ed yet again, thought about doing Teq on the next run but I think I’ll take a walk instead no problem with getting DE’ed.
Glory Boosts were before my time, funny they gave notice that time and not this one, wonder why?
The option to pick Karma was removed from Enchanted Reward Boosts after the Aug, 11 update, I am hoping this is a bug, could someone let us know one way or another?
I just went and brought it just to see if there was a problem with it, no problem, did you try right clicking on it?
Thank you for the quick response, and I’m sorry to hear that, for me that’s what will decide if I preorder or wait til HoT goes on sale. I really wish Anet wasn’t so closed off on giving us information.
I’ve tried searching, no luck, so any word regarding taking Jeweling and Cooking to 500 in HoT?
I get ya, you can love the game and still hate it when it takes a dump on ya, I hope one day, not soon, I’ll have as many war stories to tell as you do
As a player who was unlucky enough to create a character during the time that bug was in place, as much as I will hate losing the AP points, I am so happy this fix will happen soon. What’s a few hundred AP I’ll make more and they’ll be points I earned.
The Chest at Not-So-Secret will give you Blade Shards something to consider if you’ll need to make a Back piece.
And the recipe to switch stats requires the insignia or inscription of the stat you want to switch to.
I don’t think you’re saving anything to do what you’re doing. I think you’re actually going to spend more money.
I agree, just make the set you want and save yourself from buying 2 insignias.
I know there are people I party with that refuse to do defense because of the demand that they leave the party they’re already in. I understand why it’s asked but that doesn’t matter when someone asks you to do something and then starts making demands some people don’t take it that well.
SAB is broken until they can dedicate a team to fix it. WvW tournaments aren’t likely to happen again until they change things, due to how unpopular they were.
I’m really sorry to hear that WvW Tournaments were so unpopular, the only reason I do any WvW now is because I played during the last Tournament and found out I didn’t completely hate it.
WvW tournament way way overdue and like late even.
Perhaps your friend was mistaken.
That sounds like a great idea.
25 is better then a cold wet noodle to the face and farming gold and SW is probably your best bet or get good at playing the TP.
Making Clovers first helps you will get some T6 along the way.
I have been waiting g for necro axe to become atleast viable for 3 years. As of the last update patch, it was nerfed even more.
Could it be that what PvE players consider to be a broken mechanics work perfectly in PvP? This game for whatever reason is balanced around PvP so some may just have to adjust, or maybe I’m completely wrong
For how long will we be able to Pre-purchase?
in Guild Wars 2: Heart of Thorns
Posted by: Roundabout.1752
Ok now I’m confused which date is it? Any link where we can check it for ourselves?
Remember you only get the refund if you purchased GW2 from Anet, if you brought it from Amazon or any other retailer you won’t get a refund.
;) Are you planing to “miss-use” the slot for something other than the revenant?
Personally it’s a good thing, at least for me, that they aren’t sending them right away apparently I have a problem with keeping a slot empty, I just can’t do it
