You can already see that if you open the map itself.
I’m aware of that, but opening the map when you are running to find your group or avoid a mob isn’t the easiest thing to do, probably not the smartest thing to do either.
Could you explain a bit what exactly you mean? ^^
Do you want to know where you have been recently or all the time? Do you want to see sections of the map you’ve already been to or just a line of where your character has walked?
Just a line where my character has walked recently. I get turned around so easily, especially in Dungeons, just knowing I came out of the left corridor instead of the right one would be such a help.
I would like to see where I’ve already been on the mini map. Like I said teeny tiny but it really would make finding my way around easier.
Buy all the T3 Cultural skins. That will consume almost 6 million karma.
hey i was gonna suggest this
I’m in DR and all I see is a vendor selling T3 armor for gold, where do I buy Cultural Armor for Karma? Orr the Temple Armor?
Of course a feature patch doesn’t include content updates.
I just think the frequent flaming over the feature patch should be clear: People want more kitten content already. Not just talking about Living Story…but new content. A completely new area (Crystal Desert, perhaps) – more to Maguuma Wastes, a new dungeon, new rewards, new armor skins, new weapon skins, new skills, new types of weapons…
One map per year isn’t that grand. Yes, it takes time…but should it really take this much time?
The game is free, and I appreciate that – it’s why I don’t expect content rollout to come about as frequently as WoW…but at some point shouldn’t the devs stop worrying about polishing everything and start releasing content at a stable rate, doing polishing underneath as a side note? Why are they spending a month announcing QoL updates and polishes?
Even with being a free MMO, it’s kind of aggravating. I think I dislike it more too because if I were ever that slow at a job, I would get fired.
I’d like to see:
LS every 2 weeks
1 armor set every month (which would be 3 – light, medium and heavy)
1 weapon set every month
1 dungeon every 6 months
1 map every year. It’s something I think should be fairly reasonable for a buy-to-play MMO.
This hasn’t been the case though.
What we have are 30 new full armor sets (only 10 per profession), 5 half-armors that apply to all professions.
About 17 or so new weapon themes.
One new dungeon path.
And 3/4 of a map so far…over 2 years, I might add.
I know ANet feels it might isolate some of the newer players, but I really don’t think it will. As long as the content is kept in a meaningful and reasonable pace, new players will be able to pick up the game and get to it relatively quickly.
I could be wrong but doesn’t SouthSun count as a new Map?
I’ve read that if you infuse one of the rings, don’t ask me how you do that I don’t know, but if you do according to what I read you can then wear both your Rings.
The thing I’m finding hard in starter zones is 80’s camping events so that low level characters don’t get a chance to get a shot in before the 80s have 1 hit everything down. Maybe it’s time to rethink how events are tallied on the starter maps? Maybe starter map events should only be counted towards dailies and monthlies if your level 30 or maybe even 40th level or maybe there is an easier way but IMO something needs to be done especially since there are more 80s everyday.
If you really want the Celestial gear, why settle for exotic? Just asking I’m not trying to jerk your chain or anything.
Irrelevant question.
Ok I just wondered

A nice little side effect of time gating gap charged quartz is that grow lamps remain profitable to craft weeks after they were introduced because it is impossible to flood the market for them. I am all for little niches like this that allow crafters to make a profit even if they don’t spot it in the first couple of days.
That would be a cool story, but it doesn’t apply here because celestial stuff isn’t tradable. Maybe if anet would be more consistent instead of pulling things out of a hat to decide how to implement things, stuff like this wouldn’t happen or, at the very least, things would be the same.
You should probably check the recipe for teh Grow Lamps, they require charged Quartz, so yea it does apply.
Megaserver, you came back but you came back to a different shard, instance of Queensdale.
Watchwork pick is currently available, hate if I kick start your OCD but it’s a great item to have and use.
It’s just like salvaging any other crafted item.

Which ever set of Armor you chose, don’t throw it away or forge it, it is great for Keyrunning.
Thing is it isn’t a nice exotic backpiece it’s a POS and I would not have wasted the time or mats on it if I had known upfront that that was all I would be getting for the time and mats invested, I would have sold the mats and moved on and I sure wouldn’t have wasted my time on it. Waiting until after players invested so much into making the Vine to spring it on them that the Backpack worth having required Fractals was a crappy thing to do to players, would have been so hard to require the Mist Stone on the Vine? I for 1 would not feel like I had been tricked and cheated. I know I’m not expressing myself well but this has left me feeling used and I don’t like it, at all.
Must be easy to hate because I do, utterly completely hate them, and I feel tricked into wasting time I could have spent doing other things in the game rather than making a useless Backpack, the Vine, only to find out that to finish it I would have to do Fractals or throw away the time and mats I already invested in that useless POS. I don’t so much care about not getting the Backpack but I don’t like being tricked.
I hate Fractals, tried them first and now I know they are a part of the game I will not play. I’m not going to get the ascended version of the backpack and I am disappointed that I already wasted so much time making the Vine when I won’t have if I had known Fractals were required up front, I resent that, I really do. I understand why Anet is trying to get ppl into Fractals but I don’t have to like the way they went about it.
I’m so happy I read this thread before I put to much work into getting this part of the LS done at least I won’t waste anymore time on it. Fractals meh
Oakheart is the only one of the QD champs that wasn’t demoted, so you didn’t miss anything.
Mounts, oh my can you image the gold sink potential? Stabling costs, gear, food and the training. I’ll keep WP’s thanks anyway.
I completely understand why Devs stay off the forum. A Dev says something sounds interesting, or they are working on something, or hope to have something soon and somehow that becomes a promise written in stone. Commenting on the forum is a no win for the Devs. and no one likes being on the losing end all the time.
Contact support if there is any chance of changing it they are who you need to be talking to.
I’ve lvled 3 characters since the new Trait system went into effect, no problem, map an area do the events move on. I’ve brought maybe 3 unlocks because I don’t care for WvW I enjoyed the challenge and I had fun, and whatever trash experience is if I had it I will hopefully enjoy it just as much on my next character.
Easy fix if your lying dead for more then 1 or 2 minutes, outside of a Dungeon, you can’t be rezzed it just wouldn’t work. You would have to WP. Edited to add and your name wouldn’t show so ppl wouldn’t waste their time on you.
The only thing I can see being an issue would be if the Recipes require you to be lvl 80 to open them. Easy enough to check you can go look at the Vendor.
The Hero’s Band was only included in Pre-purchased editions of Guild Wars 2. You won’t get one if you upgrade to DDE nowadays.
The Hero’s Band is a ring available with all pre-purchased versions of Guild Wars 2.
Thank you, you saved me from looking the fool and wasting Support’s time.
Yes to the banker and hero’s band. Each toon gets one.
No, players who earned the Hero’s Band in GW1 get them the rest of us don’t but it’s still worth it if you do a lot of Keyruns or like collecting skins.
The Hero’s Band is the ring that comes with the digital edition. All it does is give a little boost to every stat (something like +2).
I just recently purchased the Digital Deluxe edition, my copy did not come with a Hero’s Band, wonder why?

What and where is the BB?
Funny, I just block them as they whisper me.
Seems to work for me as well, report them, block them, play through.
