Tekkit’s Workshop
Ofc it will be nerfed. Only thiefs can have things like this..
Tekkit’s Workshop
I hope crap toss will go away today and never come back..
Tekkit’s Workshop
HGH grenade engi works great. I personaly run this build while roaming solo:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcAQJAqalspiYnvSdF17ICoC5loHPGlNZfewWpFEC-jgyAYNhQaBAJKh5wioxW5CbpLaVwgoux0xER1G8ioVLEwi1A-e
Tekkit’s Workshop
My Rifle + SD build already hits more than a Zerk Warrior except 100 blades. But yet again 100blades is a close combat, stand-still skill and anything will interrupt the combo. While we can dance around the enemy throwing whatever we want.
No you dont zerg war 100b hits for 37k
Tekkit’s Workshop
I want just one: Some fukin Stability.
Tekkit’s Workshop
So basically this build meankittenting the best skills out of each Kit in a rotation. I don’t mind swapping kits like crazy
I will try it as soon as I get home.
Exactly:-) You have probably simillar damage output like zerg war:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
You must choose between damage and survival you cant have both:-)
SD and HGH grenades are great but not best damage. Ive tried something what was mentioned by one guy in another topic as “kit juggle” and its much more powerful then HGH grenades (probably 50% better damage output), harder to master and incredibly fun.
Build is something like this: http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fcIQFAUl0piYH5SrF17IyoHkWntZgKAYfewWPIEC-jACBYLAkIAJPFRjtIMIVNTjVXDT5iIq2erIa1A-e
Berserk gear, Sigil of Battle and 2x Altruism runes (+ trait) keeps about 10 stack of might all the time. Rest of runes are moderate you can use Divinity, Ruby orbs or something like that.
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bowl_of_Truffle_Sautee will keep other 15 stacks is you fight with normal mobs:-P
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bowl_of_Curry_Butternut_Squash_Soup this will be better on tougher mobs
You can use Elixir Gun (Acid Bomb) instead Tool Kit but I prefer this because of 2 high damage skills and Throw Wrench work better with Static Discharge. Basicly idea is swaping between highest damage AoE skills with low cooldown and make efective rotation from them.
Rotation is something like this:
Swap on Medkit (and use stimulant if on cooldown) → Barrage → Throw Wrench → Incediary Ammo (these three first also for SD) → Blunderbuss → Jumpshot (on place) → Shrapnel Grenade → Freeze Grenade → Flame Blast → Prybar.
Now half of skills are on about 20s cd so till Barrage recharge rotate: Blunderbuss → Shrapnell → Flame Blast.
This build needs lots of practice but result damage output is insane:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
Upgrading is no longer profitable because dust is too expensive. Crafting some rares for ecto will be best.
Tekkit’s Workshop
So basicly your contribution in WvW is lesser damage while falling. You must fall very often:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
I personaly win almost everytime in first match for daily now. But its still frustrating and annoying.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Hammer ele is far best
Tekkit’s Workshop
Sigil of Battle, Scholar Runes, and Elixir Gun/Grenade Kit/Flamethrower (Or Tool Kit if you want a block). 30/15/0/0/25 for optimal DPS, or 30/10/0/0/30 if you want the endurance regen. Medkit is great for triggering the 3 stacks of might on heal. If you don’t like scholar runes, rubies work just as well, or altruism for a more group-focused setup. The entire idea of the ‘juggling’ setup is to swap between your high damage, low cooldown skills like Flame Blast, Shrapnel Grenade, Blunderbuss, Jump Shot, Acid Bomb, Freeze ’Nade, and Barrage – with proper setup you can even use Napalm into Acid Bomb for some bonus might stacking.
It looks very interesting for PvE I will try something with this today.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Hi guys I have question. Can this two work together? They theoreticly share cooldown but afaik Restoration hasnt internal cooldown. So what happend if Blood trigger his 5s cd? Its apply that cd on Restoration too or not? Maybe mainhand/offhand sorting make difference. Any experience with this?
Tekkit’s Workshop
This is excelent idea man! And its already implemented in game you can see it in SE:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
well mate, I don’t know what to say. My best guess is that you must rely on having no aggro at all, which I’ve noticed I get less and less of the more toughness gear I take off. I’ve never gone full glass cannon, and I probably never will. Just in case the “heavier” people in my party go down. I guess I’ll just switch a piece or two to berserker and see where it takes me.
Its not that hard. Only very few mobs has quick range attack so you can easily dodge it or avoid by quick changing direction. Melee mobs are free kils because you have perma swiftness and almost perma AoE cripple.
I party mobs switch targets often to closest so you just hit and run out of range an bit, run and run and run. Back and forth thru mobs not around, turn 180 degree often and run back. For example in CoF p2 in Assassin phase I am able to manage it solo – kill Assassins, kite melee kill/dodge ranged mobs and keep self alive. In zerg gear.
Moving and dodging is important and many players dont do it right.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Sure the is difference but you recognize it after longer time. Try it for about 6 hours and you will see.
Tekkit’s Workshop
I use it since I finish my Predator and it was aroud christmas. That build is pretty fun because there is lots of moving, dodging, positioning ect. Grenades are bit more effective but after while incredibly boring.
I use full Berserk gear with Divinity runes only weapon has P/T/V (you cant transmute legendary yet) so some survability is there but not neccessary. You can be full glass cannon even in hard dungeons because you have lots of mobility – perma Swiftness and Dodge pretty much every 2s.
- With Berserk rife, Fury, food and precision stacks you will have 100% crit chance and 120% crit damage. I have 2 rifles – one for precision stack on kill (Sigil of Accuracy) and on 25 stacks i swap on rifle with Sigil of Fire – its nice AoE on crit every 5s. You can use Sigil of Air instead but in PvE I prefer Fire.
- Moving and positioning is everything you never stops and you must keep eyes an all mobs same as on aoe on grounds but you can learn that:-) If you play like sitting ducks (like many Rangers for example do) you are death:-)
Usual full combo is something like this:
- Runing around and found position where as many mobs as possible are in row or close to it. Run towards group of mobs, use all toolbelt skills for Static Discharge, still running, use Blunderbuss on closer range, still run in, swap on Tool Kit, smack something with Prybar, Jumpshot on one place (double damage it can hit for 12k), double dodge back. Repeat:-)
- If you have tollbelt skills on cooldown you just runing around using autoattack, Blunderbuss, Box of Nails for slowing mobs ect. Surprise shot recharge very fast you will use it often as well.
- If you are Charr (like me:-)). You can make that build even better if you use Hidden Pistol instead Utility Googles. You loose stunbreaker and bit of fury but in PvE its not big deal. You have base crit chance around 80% anyway. Toolbelt skill is like thiefs Unload. Skill itself hits between 8-12k and release 2 Discharge bolts instead of one.
- Net Shot, Overcharged Shot and Magnet are great for rooting/interupting bosses.
- Toolkit autoattack is sometime also usefull (like on elementals on Jade Maw what reflect projectiles) 3rd attack can crit for 6k
- If mobs focus you just pop up Gear Shield and run bit out heal and come back. Med Kit main heal has only 15s cooldown with 30 points in tools so you have it always alongside with smal heal packs. Also all Toolbelt skills recharge on 25% HP so you get you heal recharged as well all discharge skills so from defense you can quickly come to offense:-)
- This build is also usable in WvW but there its one trick pony and most of enemiest these days wear P/T/V gear so they can survive whole burst and after that you have nothing. But if you surprise you enemy.. Thiefs are usualy dead before they event cast first invis:-)

(edited by Rozbuska.5263)
Iv been told by several people that the plasma grenade effect has been removed.
Its still there you just need the Grenadier trait for it to show up. kittening sucks right? have to dump 30 points into something for an effect lol.
Wait, if I equip Quip, will I throw confetti and flowers with them grenades?
Say yes, say it!
Coz I am half done with Quip including precursor(I’d go for it no matter what, just throwing hippie grenades would be epic.)
Predator now throw barrage of fire grenades (its buggy and not show everytime) so its possible:-D
Tekkit’s Workshop
So i decide make opposite. Something how I wanna look not how my class force me to look. And result is hell of the lot better:-)
Well, hello there!
This is my engineer (I am Priory, but their medium armour is butt ugly, although I own it too)
You can use armor of other Orders if you have alt there via transmute if you want:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
Hi guys. Know anyone how to glitch legendary aura on engineer? other classes can do it by weapon swap but we cant. Any ideas?
Another thing is keep weapon out like in combat (I know I can bind it on key but it not what I wanted. I want glitch it so weapon will stay in combat position without maintaining. I heard its doable via interrupt of sortcast skill but still no success. Any ideas?
Tekkit’s Workshop
Best gear in terms of damage output for grenades is Rampager (Power, Precision, Condition damage combo)
Tekkit’s Workshop
Ive tried something simillar – make armor what make my engineer looks like engineer but on end.. I dont know.. Every engineer try same thing and all looks pretty much same – ugly medium coat (WvW or SE most times) karma hat from Orr and some crap from CoF – every engineer who try that end in this direction. (Now after Molten Facility is here jetpack witch looks great but there is no medium armor what will fit and its cliping badly with kit as usual.)
So i decide make opposite. Something how I wanna look not how my class force me to look. And result is hell of the lot better:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
I would really like to see Arena Net take some ideas from this class and use them with the engineer.
I hope not..
Tekkit’s Workshop
Ban or debuff dont solve anything.
If you wanna really punish leavers, give them some big icon above their head so everyone see their shame:-) Some leavers leaderboards will be fun too. Also NPC in mists can yell leavers names.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Psst you reveal farming secrets!:-) Actualy there are places where you can farm about stack of AS in 5 hours:-)

Just wondering—they pretty much are redefining the mold of MMORPG the way they’re doing it, and with no subscription fee and consantly new events how do you think they’re making enough money? The game itself is getting cheaper, too (sales n’ such) are they just doing THAT well that I shouldn’t be concerned for the company?
Yeah, never before have I felt a game was so good that I’d be concerned they weren’t charging enough. I just don’t want this to go away, lol
They did the same in GW1 for 8 years so its definetly working:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
As I said – I do them all because achievment points.
Tekkit’s Workshop
So after 12 hours of frustrating in Crab Toss Ive done all achievments (I am achievment hunter so yes I must do them all I never miss any achiev or daily) include incredibly annoying Crabtacular (I am glad I met few people in one arena like me who want do the same so we bypass that madness and do achieve in peace and quiet for all of us). And after that I decide dont come back to that Minishame or even to Cove almost 1000 years.. Then I saw daily… First day I hope that win will be there only for first day but someone decide opposite.
Please remove it from daily because its not fun and I dont want turn off game after daily because I am so frustrated like today.
Tekkit’s Workshop
This is my first critique if I remember right. Other events even Molten Facility was fun. This isnt.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Add there dumb protection and someone even more dumber will come.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Sorry but I must say that. Its annoying and frustrating. Lags, bugs and incredibly badly designed concept. After awesomness of whole rest of game is this big shame.
This whole living story every month idea is bad – you start doing same mistake as other companies – pushing out unfinished content as fast as possible. Yes some people will be happy but more will angry and frustrated.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Upgraded version havent different skin or effects its a bit shame I expect something glowing like capacitor tier 3
Tekkit’s Workshop
What if you gamble molten weapon or bought legendary with your own credit card? Why would I ask my father’s credit card when I can use my own just as well? It’s not like money is an issue for me. Given that GW2 is my primary hobby, I’m very willing to spend quite some cash on it.
Would you respect someone for having an actual job? Is your lack of respect for credit cards due to the fact you can’t spend that much money on videogames? Just guessing because you show a distinct lack of respect for people who actually support the game, while showing more respect to people who play 24/7.
Just to put in perspective because I don’t mean offense and that’s just what I read from your post. Could I ask how old you are please? That would define the context of your post and whether or not you deserve my respect.
This is maybe even worse. Call me conservative (i am 29 to answer you last question and yes I have a job and more money then I can even spend its realy not about money) but game is game and real life is real life. I love this game and I spend about 8+ hours every day here but I will NEVER spend real money into ingame stuff because how can I excuse to myself buy that stuff instead buy something nice for my wife or kids in real life? Its simply Taboo.
Yes here is that known cliche.. “I support Anet that way” No you dont you support yourself and this is just excuse for your ingame weakness. Will you send to Anet some money just like that without any gems as reward? I dont think so:-).
And last thing.. Why did you even need buy that for real money. There isnt some gearprogress what you need achieve by real money like in other games if you want do fun stuff. GW2 dont penalize you if you dont play enough time.
Yes players what play longer has cooler looking stuff like legendary but its not give them any advantage. If you want something respectful you must just spend some time on that. If you havent enough time it just take longer but you get that eventualy. Speeding up some things by real money isnt right and make you game less fun. Its like pay to some prostitute for sex because you are too lazy to find your own girfriend and spend some time and effort for dating before you get to that point.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Well killing Downed Ranger in water is something like personal high tier achievment.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Achievment points
Its first thing what I looking for on party members, its not determine good od bad player but usualy players with 1000 and lower ap are bad and 5k+ are good.
Title:
Because I am GW1 player GWAMM is most valuable for me, but Champion (class) title from pvp is also nice. 100% map competion is something you simply must have.
Gear:
Wear full set of one dungeon gear is old and boring. Players who realy work on their look are more respectful. If I see player with low AP and full CoF gear its.. meh.. sign of fastgeared noob without experience. Dye are also important. Most expensive dont mean best. It must simple look cool same as armor:-)
Other gear:
- T3 Fractal capacitor is another sign of bit hardcore player.
- Molten mining pick is sign of big love for you main:-)
- Ghastly shield and new jetpack are also valuable items.
- Other Ascended stuff with highest possible AR
Legendary:
Obviously. More is better. I will be glad when Anet adds some achievment what sort ppl who actualy craft them and losers what use dads credit card and buy it for gems. Other expensive weapons from MF also counts.
Other stuff:
There are items what other players dont see on first look but you just know you have them:-)
- Permanent Bank/Merchant/Trading Post/Stylist/Mystic Forge access are cool items for you main character.
- All kind of permanent tonics
- other fun consumables, like harpy pheromones, hylek potions, portal gun, ect
- all bank and inventory slots unlocked with 20 slot bags.
- all minipets especialy special:-)
- new dancebook and drill are fun
What is NOT respectable for me:
- Fused weapons – I dont know why but everytime I see someone with them its just.. meh another kid with luck and father credit card wide open.
- Super imba cool nicks for example thief with name like “I am your death” especialy when you kill them in pvp over and over again till he ragequit.
- “Neverdodgers” – you recognize them easily. They are most time rangers what just stay in place like statue and spam AA. Players what dont move all the time havent my respect.
- People without guild tag – this is moderate but when I see someone without guild I usualy think something like “you come play singleplayer into mmo man?”
On the end little bit of my Engineer showoff:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
In this world are only 2 things what you can predict with 100% success:
1. sunrise
2. engineer nerf next patch:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
Afaik that sigil has 5s cooldown so you cant have 500 every second:-)
Tekkit’s Workshop
Engineer has the best damage output in PvE, only dumb noobs create Warriors for damage:-P
I use this build with http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Rare_Veggie_Pizza:
- by swaping kit and constant using elixirs you can keep 25 stacks of might on you and 10 stacks on rest of party pretty much all time.
- Due to trait and high crit chance you will keep 25 stacks of vulnerability on mobs all time – its pretty much 25% dmg increase for whole party
- You have average damage output around 6k/s on 1500ft range:-)
You can also try this static discharge build with: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bowl_of_Curry_Butternut_Squash_Soup
- Its pretty much single target build but due to piercing rifle shots and discharge bouncing between targets you can manage multiple targets but its harder for positioning.
- This build has extreme damage spikes (about 30k in 1.5s) but you must wait 30s for recharge whole burst or 5s for partial.
- Perma swiftness and vigor allow you to kite everything.
I did fractals lvl 48 multiple times with both builds without problems:-).
Tekkit’s Workshop
Maybe if bomb fuse duration will depend on how long you hold skill button. For example if you just hit/spam button bomb detonate instantly but if you hold button 3s bomb fuse will have 3s delay
Tekkit’s Workshop
You can do the same with grenades, just aim platform under harpies. There is one problem – if harpy cant hit you or your party member they regenerate too quick. Solution is build up there a turret – supply crate is best for trat.
Tekkit’s Workshop
But it’s built COMPLETELY around FT. The 15% damage is needed. Also the elixir gives might and defensive boon when thrown(HGH) so no real point in dropping it as he also has cd reduction. Also the swiftness on crit allows him to keep up with opponent as swiftness would have 100% uptime without switching from the flamethrower.
TL:DR; I don’t like your advice. Sorry.
15% FT damage is nothing especialy in WvW. Every build is about bigger picture. He has 4 elixirs and 3 toss in his build with formula its 7 condi removers! Pure FT is fine but if someone will keep confusion on you, you are pretty much disabled or dead. WvW is full of condis especialy in larger fights where every kitten play necro with veils everywhere.
Swiftness on crit is nice thing until you need run away. Med kit has aditional fury, heal with shorter cd, another heal packs, another condi remover and no cd so you can keep might bonus from runes every 10s instead of 20.
Tekkit’s Workshop
One thing about runes. Try 2x Altruism (same bonus on 2nd as Fighter on 6th) and 2x hoelbrak, 2x Fire for 40% might duration. Also sigils try Battle for might on swap. With that you can easily keep 25 stack of might.
Also when you use elixir build, try Cleansing Formula for remove condis instead 15% FT damage.
Also you can take 10 points from Inventions and get speedy kits. Also Medkit will have much better synergy with Altruism runes (swap on medkid counts as using healing skill)
Also dont forget on some cool food. There are some realy good like:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bowl_of_Orrian_Truffle_and_Meat_Stew
or
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Bowl_of_Saffron-scented_Poultry_Soup
Also if you use it for fight in zergs this will keep you alive (I reccomend P/T/V gear for zergfights there its about hit em all and stay survive to loot you bags-))

//Edit: lol so many also in my post:-D

Cloaking device was ONLY one viable adept trait in that line. Healing turret. They said “heal slightly reduced”.. 50% is kittening slightly? Healing turret is now even more useless than before.
It’s not a 50% nerf if you simply double-tap the button. The Overcharge gives you the other half of the heal. AND drops a water field. AND removes conditions. AND can be fired again every 15 seconds. AND gives 50% more regen, AND gives it to a much wider area. AND more than doubled the recharge speed on the already-nice toolbelt skill. Now if we could just get them to “nerf” the rest of our powers the same way!
I want see that waterfield heal in action without healing gear

Anet’s DR system makes this literally impossible. Doesn’t matter how good of a spot you find, 30 minutes of sustained farming with a high mob density will reduce your loot drops to 0, doesn’t matter how awesome and secret your spot is.
I hadn’t considered the effect on ectos, but yes they will probably experience a brief spike, though I have doubts about the long term effect of such a spike, there are just sooo many rares coming in from world bosses that I don’t think ectos would rise by more then a silver at most. Could be wrong though.
If you farm 15-20 mobs at once like me it doest matter if you have DR or not it still drops pretty well:-P
But you have 3 options how to mitigate DR:
1. My personal favourite: After one MF food expire (30 min) take a 15 minutes break and DR is gone.
2. DR affects only certain mobs in area of current zone if you have 3 different spots in 3 different zones (or 2 at least) you can rotate them without DR.
3. Use guesting. Rotation between 3 servers every 30 minutes to bypass DR. But It can be eventualy counted as exploit so I strongly DONT recommend this.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Well CoF1 isnt only one thing what you can fast farming its just most friendly for casual players who are loo lazy to find better spots:-).
Personaly I have one spot (and few others little less prifitable) in game with lots of mobs where with full MF gear I can drop around stack of T6 mats, 4+ stacks of T5, around 30-50 rares (and numerous trash loot) per 10-12 hours of farming. Solo. If I am lucky I make aroud 100g/day this way.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Make it happen!
Tekkit’s Workshop
Sure they can. And our overall damage will be decreased by 30% to compensate it as usual.
Tekkit’s Workshop
Well this will work only EB where are pugs and newbies mostly present. If you try it on organized groups in Borderlands you will probably death long before your grenades land on empty ground:-)
