Well you pretty much have warrior/guardian gs skills with different names. Its need something fresh and unique because right now is engineer trashcan of other classes skills mostly in weaker/shorter/random version (toss elixir U for example).
Right now I havent any better idea for chainsaw but I have for example one older idea for FT.
Skill 5: You aim FT into ground like rocket propeller. For 7s you will hover above ground and flame circle on ground around you will hit enemies, reflect projetiles and grants stability to you and ally in that circle. ALSO when you jump from high cliff and use skill in right time its slows you fall and negate fall damage.
Engineer needs unique abilities.

Well chainsaw kit idea is great but it need some less generic skills in that kit:-)

Well it depends if all classes will have this boon hating system or just thief/war for example. If all, simply now whole meta will change into non boon builds thats all.

IMO one of the best pve builds is static discharge, those mobs on video you will beat in 1.5s :-) Wíth zerg gear and fire sigil you can make up to 30k dmg semi AoE spikes. For example in CoF1 I can beat 2 acolytes before 100b zerg war event finish 100b on first one:-) You are basicly 100b zerg war with quickness on 1000ft range:-) Build is about positioning you have perma swiftness and vigor. Build is simple to use but very fun to play:-)
I did all explo dungs and fractals 48 with this without problems.

On current HGH builds state you see what can difference in player skill do. For long time engi was weak and complicated compare to other classes so we had learn to play like pros on piano without mistakes to even beat noobs.
But now after few buffs and developing right builds what make us equal to other classes we roll.
We roll because we are simply much more skilled then ppl what play other classes.
So let them cry for HGH nerf they will die anyway..:-)

Did you know what is funy? How ppl mention only HGH:-) This build isnt only about HGH (yea mights are fine but they just help not win) but about combination of many traits, skills, gear, runes, sigils and also high skill cap AND especialy right grenade landing.
It will be surprise for some ofyou but this build will work without HGH you just die 2-3s later:-)

So I just finish my 2nd legendary – Frenzy and I am bit disappointed by glitching and effects on my Engi.
- There are NO skill changes.
- There are NO footsteps or aura only few fish swim around.
- Weapon on back is horizontaly reverted compare to preview so its badly glitching with Capacitor and it looks very wierd.
Please give harpoon some love because weapon itself looks great:-)

Well 25 stacks might on a permanent duration (if specced right) is a bit too strong. Also consider that there is no class which can spread this variety of conditions so fast and so easily (eg. necromancer lacks of burning). No other class is so fast in killing point defenders, due to permanently hit grenades.
I think some little tweaks could bring HGH to a balanced level.
Its Grandmaster trait man. Other classes stacks might too.

Well necros these days starts to be dangerous. Until now they was just freekills what annoy you with fear while you finish them. But last week I met some wierd confusion/bleeding necro what melt my p/t/v bunker in 3s. I dueled with him about 5 times with same results.

So maybe ANet should focus on bringing all those underpowered abilities up to accceptable levels, instead of nerfing the few things that actually work into oblivion.
Man its not Anet style for our class. They dont buff weaker builds, they nerf useful ones into same useless state.

Hi everyone I have some ideas how to extend our Rifle skills (and also pistol but not in this topic) possibilities due to lack of weapon swap and kits what occupy our utility slots. Btw sorry for my bad english:-)
I called my idea “Dual Functionality” (DF in short) and it based Anet early idea what wasnt implemented into final game – charging skills (skill functionality change depends on how long you hold button like for example range on Trebs)
Basicly longer you hold button better effect you get. Every skill will have “charge cap” what dont allow you increase charge above some point.
Also I have some ideas how to slightly modify current skills. So here it is:
Skill 1
- Rename into “Clever Shot”, change shoot animation from hip to shoulder aimed like Warrior
- DF: Holding button will cumulate up to 3 shots into one massive what you shoot by releasing button. 3s max charge – every second charging add 10% damage bonus so if basic damage hit for 1000 max charged will hit for 3300.
Skill 2
- Replace by “Supersonic Shot” – pretty much like mesmers pistol stun – high velocity stuning shot
- Projectile is piercing and can hit and stun up to 3 targets in row
- DF: Holding and release button (3s max charging) shoot projectile what stun first target, explode and stun others in 120-240 range from first target depend on charge strength
Skill 3
- Pretty much no change to basic attack
- DF: Charging decrease damage on longest range but increase on closest range up to 50% (3s max charging). Also apply 1-3s cripple depend on charge strength
Skill 4
- Remove self knockdown and also immobilize breaker
- DF: You shoot under your feet what provide AoE knockback in 120-240 range depend on charge strength
Skill 5
- Skill now remove immobilize and landing animation is much more smooth
- DF: You turn rifle and shoot backward. It will cause damage (180 degree behind you) blast finisher and push you 800 ft straight forward. 1s max charge

I sold nostromo while ago because its crap and bought ZBoard Merc Stealth Keyboard (best keyboard ever imo).
Naga is great. I have both classic naga and hex and using hex for gw2. My bind: skils 1-6 on naga pad buttons 7-9 on middle mouse and rest 2 top buttons and elite on keyboard. toolbelt skills on qert, dodge on alt.
