I have every class at level 80, but the only 2 characters that I have 100% map completion with (including WvW) are my Necro (1st) and my Mesmer (2nd). They are more “difficult” to play in a sense that you really have to think of your build more and play it correctly. But, any class can see the whole world and enjoy it.

It works on the owner. Maybe you already had a food boon active?

Marks can only be applied to items that are level 20 or higher.

Thank you for the update Gaile! A lot of good suggestions in this thread, I hope you guys are listening. From my personal opinion, I don’t like having to do the same thing over and over and over again, especially the way this event was structured that is was basically do the same thing for 30 mins. Then do that same event over and over again. I really want the “Selfless Potion” and I would not mind working for it over the course of a week or two (I’ve crafted 4 Legendaries, so I do not mind working over time for something). If the event had different things to do, over a longer period of time it would help break the monotony. Also, maybe have special achievements that earn you additional blooms to help you get the amount you want.

Thank you very much Gaile for your response. A lot of us older people turn off the drama and come here for the real word. You have always been up front. As you can see from the toxic atmosphere here, the gang of millions are really hoping for a bigger line of communication. Normally, I would say it is not warranted. But, with an expansion looming, with the “Karma-Gate”, with this bug, I would have hoped you guys could make a little more of an effort to respond to us old folks. But again, thank you for a wonderful game, and I know things will work out right.

BTW, I just tried to play one of the events in the second map (Kessex)… Couldn’t find it… I’m old…

I’m 46. I do not do Reddit. I was so happy to see an unexpected event today, but before I started I saw the posts here about the reward issue. Hey, no big deal, we all make mistakes and I’m sure it will be fixed through a patch very soon. Can you just please post status and update info here more often, instead of Reddit?

BTW, I love the game, it’s the only one I play.

I was head start 3 years ago. Paid for the ultimate edition, or whatever it was for $99. I have loved every moment of playing this game. Since then, I have spent a ton (over $1k) on gems for bling and convenience, because, to me anyway, I don’t mind spending a buck a day for something that makes me happy. This is such a great game, and I truly applaud the way A-Net implemented F2P edition of this game. My son is 11, and I was able to create a free account for him the other day. We have already spend a couple of hours “together” online in Queensdale. He’s having fun, and I am so excited to be playing with him! If he takes a shine to the game, I’ll buy the full version for him.

Anyway, I just wanted to say I AGREE with the OP!

It’s a small request, but being able to name the bank tabs would be a nice little feature. You could name one “Skins”, another “Ascended”, another “Food”, etc. I know we probably all separate them this way anyway, but naming them would be a nice feature so you could click down to that tab you want.

@Tega, I have almost 3k hours in this game. I’m not a causal player, though not a pro either. I have no problem with this gift at all. It’s appropriate for a player who has played for 3 years. BTW, I have Mawdrey, I have the Tempered Spinal Blades, I even have a Legendary waiting to be made in my inventory.

These are the types of gifts that should be given out on birthdays.

I was in the minority last year because I really thought the Birthday Gun was awesome, but I have to say, this year topped that! Thank you A-Net for a wonderful gift that is truly fitting for people who have played for 3 years. Being able to choose a high end dye is really a perfect way to celebrate 3 years of commitment (account bound, so you have to use it). Also, I’m not big on finishers, but the Birthday Finisher is one of the nicest I have seen, if not the nicest. Please keep up the great work and remember the silent majority of us loves the game!

Yes, even though I win, it looks like I’m not getting the track filled up as quickly as before.

Has anyone noticed in the last 4-6 days that dungeon progress in PvP is a heck of a lot slower?

I pre-purchased HoT, and my GW2 directory is 22.8 GB. Don’t know what it was beforehand though.

If they are clueless, they will not know about the title. If they are semi-clueless, they will see the warning before they post. If they are not clueless, they will report the gold sellers (just as many of us have), and now be rewarded for their diligence. Fact is, after all this time, I think many people just block and don’t report.

But how would they track this? What about false reports? What about reports on the same gold seller multiple times? Ontop of that, If you got a title because a certain number of gold sellers received a ban, wouldn’t that be against A-nets normal terms of NOT informing you on the result of your reports?

It’s great to report/block them, but I think doing the right thing for the sake of doing the right thing is the best reward here. (though giving us a bit of karma would be kinda funny)

I’m sure every time you report it is tracked, and there is an investigation. Easy to track.

Well, what most big companies do is hire beforehand to increase the staff for the new upcoming work. That way, there is adequate staff for the new work, and existing staff for their existing commitments (i.e., the game that we all paid for).

But, what the heck do I know…

That is not possible at this point. You can balance all you want, but you will never get the overall total points that you get from Celestial. Though granted, some of those points may be where you don’t want or need them.

@Miku – The Flame Seeker’s Prophecies is not a “disco nightmare”. It’s one of the most “tamest” and classiest Legendries out there… Just one you do not want.

@MHE – Footfalls should be for primary only.

I expect nothing. I play some games, I’m a fan of many musicians, love my family. I get the best presents from my family (home made cards, hugs, love). Musicians sometimes send me an e-mail or a fan postcard. GW2 is the only game that always remembers my character’s b-day and gives me something. No complaints at all.

Run out of space on headline. Of course they are available to all toons, just want them available without switching them in.

I bought the ultimate edition last night and was pleasantly surprised with the extra character slot. I didn’t expect to get that. $99 for 4000 gems, the skins, the slot, and the expansion seems like a great deal to me. I’ll go against most on this board and say I am very satisfied.

Whomever came up with this price point should be fired. Trust me, I’ve spent a ton on this game and was looking forward to this. Not buying right now.

Easiest question I have ever had to answer. As a straight male, I like looking at women. Since my character is on the screen 100% of the time, it’s a no brainer.

I’ll be 46 on May 6th. I have played since the 3 day head start and have almost 3k hours played. Now that I have said it, I expect nice things in my mail for my birthday this Wednesday!

What is the best thing to do with it after you get it? I have the skins unlocked and my other armors on all my toons have better traits (exotic and ascended), so I really do not want to keep them. Is it better to sell them, salvage them, or MF them (not sure if you even can).

Yes, capes could clip everything. Unlike current helmets, backpacks, chest armor….

I’ve done map completion twice. Once with a Necro, once with a Mesmer. It’s not that hard if you give it time.

From my personal experience, when you call someone “boss”, it’s usually tongue in cheek out of slight disrespect. I will say however that it doesn’t bother me much in this game because I know why it has to be done. Crovax’s suggestion above is actually a good alternative.

I’m a PVE’er also, but if you want to start trying a dungeon, Citadel of Flame is nice to start with. Always people there, and relatively easy and quick. It will give you a flavor of a fun dungeon to try out.

I’d also recommend trying WvW. I do it once in a while and it is fun. You won’t get the rewards monetarily that you get with PVE, but it’s a nice change of pace. Also, with the daily reward revamp, I always find myself doing at least one of the WvW Dailies because they are usually done quick and easy.

The game plays very well on my Surface Pro 3. At native resolution, but with all graphics set to low, I get about 25-30 fps. Very playable.

Thank you very much for the patch to the trading post. I would still like to see the graph so I don’t have to go to 3rd party sites, but it’s a start. I exchanged gold for 97 gems today to buy my Candy Corn Gobbler.
