I run a condition Chronomancer in full Trailblazer and my health never got below 75%. So, yes I think you are right, a condition build makes this achievement much easier.
Thanks for the feedback Lord Trejgon. I still need to complete some HoT Masteries, and I’d like to use some of these points to do that instead.
Is the new skill required for Ep VI?
You do not have to trigger it every day, it will continue to mail you what you requested previously unless you change it.
just for loging in? 3 spirit shards can earn you abit of gold if you promote materials mate.
I heard this a lot, but I never see any material promotions where you actually can make money.
I’ve done map completion 4 times (twice when you had to do WvW). I’d like to make another legendary, but I cannot get myself up for doing all of those hearts again. I’d suggest that after the first time on an account, hearts are complete for all other characters, but you still have to do everything else. I mean, the hearts were originally placed there as a learning experience for new players as I recall, so if you have done them once, you should not have to do them again. IMO.
I rarely WvW, but did it just enough to get the Gift of Battle. Between the easy dailies and the Big Spender, you really don’t have to actually play WvW all that much. To be honest, I’d rather have to get 2 Gift of Battles than have to do World Completion for the 4th time (only because of the Hearts).
You get 2g a day for dailies which can be done very quickly. If you play the game casually, add another 2-3g a day. That’s 150g a month, or 150 additional MCs a month. Really, it does not take that long to amass these things just from playing the game the way you want.
I’m basically a PvE player and not super skilled. I was able to do it for the first time just now with a Condition Chronomancer. I did have full Trailblazer armor, but I did not have to use a repair canister. I was not looking forward to this encounter because of everything I read, but it really wasn’t that bad. I did notice that the NPCs were very good at rezzing me when I was downed, which they typically never do very well.
The price is fine. Im more worried with the stance that mystic coins and goals tied to them are only for the rich players. Because I dont feel that way about alot of them at all. Legendaries and such sure, thats all good. But some of the more generic ones? And that all tied to one currency? (Pick one, give up on the others to some extend) That sounds completely ridiculous and I think they could maybe rebalance those specific recipes to be more in line with what they provide.
Only legendaries require 500 of them. All other mystic coin goals require much smaller, more achievable amounts. Anyone can farm up 30 from logins, or if they want coins faster they can farm the gold and buy them from players to whom coins don’t matter, but the amount of gold they get from selling one coin matters a lot.
Legendaries only require about 230 Mystic Coins… Less if you get Clovers another way.
I mean, I could just write the recipe down, then sell the original. I’d still know how to do it.
I saved my tomes until I had a stack of 250. I keep the stack, and burn all the new ones I get for Spirit Shards.
Pact Supply Network Agents would be your first step BC…
Since I can never have enough karma, I use the karma enrichment on my main toon. My magic find is so high now (about 290% base), the extra 20% isn’t worth it to me.
Since you get 20 Mystic Coins every 28 days by simply logging in, it takes about 11 months to get the Mystic Coins required to craft a Legendary. To amass the other required items takes about the same amount of time. I really don’t see what the problem is. You can get enough Mystic Coins for free to craft the Legendary in the amount of time it would take anyway to get the rest of the items.
And, the BL Ticket Scrap is worth 10% of a BL Ticket, which means it’s worth about 5-6G. On average, I would get one every 2 chests. So now I only have 2/3’s the chance of gaining 2.5-3G to get 5s.

If ToT bags were so worthless, people wouldn’t be spending hours on hours of their lives farming them.
I’ll be waiting on my BL chests for easter when I (hope) there’ll be the miniature-giving eggs… I wanna crack at my grail mini, the jack-a-lop.

(darn you IWN for convincing me that minis were worth having. :P )
ToT bags are worthless, unless you open thousands. I’ve opened around 1000, and have nothing note worthy. BLC, like all things in this game depend on your “luck”. But then from playing PvP for a year and a half off and on, I’ve had 12 ascended armor chests, 7 weapon chests and 14 ascended rings. I guess my luck is going else where.
A ToT bag you don’t want is worth at least 5s+ on the TP, where as account bound junk you don’t want is worth 0. I’ll take the 5s over 0c any day.
~EW
I’d rather give up guaranteed 5s for a 50% increase in chance of getting something very valuable.
A 50% increase of a statistically negligible chance isn’t worth it.
Plus, the way rare items go into a 4th slot seems to indicate that the generation of a rare item doesn’t work the way you and others seem to think it does. From dulfy:
“When you get an uncommon or rare item, you will get a 4th slot.”
http://dulfy.net/2016/11/01/gw2-halloween-black-lion-chest-and-vibrant-dyes/That implies that the key/chest generates the shot at a rare, not each individual slot in the chest. In other words, there’s no correlation between your chance at a rare, and the amount of slots that exist in the chest.
~EW
Yes, but it is taking one slot away of getting a BL Ticket Scrap too.

Well, I’m thinking it would require a Chef at L500 to start, so not everyone can do it (would be a great way to introduce L500 Chef). Also, you could max it at, say 6-8 hours.
In addition, the recipe should consume at least twice the amount of food for the duration you get. Example to get 8 hours duration, you need at least 32 1/2hr duration foods. It would be a convenience penalty, and also serve to possible dry up some of the food that is out there for sale.
(edited by SRoode.7318)
Although I don’t think this is a good idea, perhaps they could implement something where a chef can combine food to stack duration. Not one for one of course, but maybe something like how an Artificer can combine Agony Infusions?
I was stumbling around the internet and came across pictures and videos of Mont Saint-Michel in France. It struck me immediately how similar it looks to Divinity’s Reach! Was Mont Saint-Michel one of the inspirations for the design of Divinity’s Reach?
Thank you so much! I was getting DR after 30 mins!
Happy Halloween!!!!
There is SIGNIFICANTLY less reward this year per ToT bag.
There is SIGNIFICANTLY less ToT bags being dropped for participating in activities.
Might be a bug that may be patched soon…
This is probably the first time I’ve ever said this, but I would say stay away from Halloween events and continue to do what you do. So many things wrong with this years incarnation.
It’s sad, because I have always looked forward to Halloween events, ever since GW.
I don`t mind recycling.
Halloween 2012 was an event. Something to be excited about.
Halloween 2013 was a step backwards, but it added to the experience
I agree with much of what you say, but at least in 2013 there was a new story (Bloody Prince). On top of that, his outfit was sold at the Gem Shop (I bought one). Then, he’s never to be seen again, so most current players have no idea who he is.
I have to say, I am disappointed with this years event.
Since it’s starting on the 18th, it should last at least 2 weeks.
My Mesmer is a Condition/Chronomancer with full Trailblazer’s gear. She has incredible condition damage, 100% condition duration, and tons of hitpoints and armor. Never down in Pve, and very rarely down in fractals. A lot of fun to play. I’m a big fan of Vit/Toughness.
The potions are not available at the Laurel merchant.
Some consumable recipes are still character bound, like Dragon’s Revelry Starcake.
It will be pretty good. I’d see if you can get a 970M instead of a 960M, there is a big jump in performance, but I’m not sure about the price difference. My laptop has the 970M and the game runs great at high detail levels.
Thanks guys, I went with the Perplexity Runes and they work great. Confusion is maxed at 100% duration increase.
What do you choose as your Runes?
Tormenting or Perplexity?
The -32 command should work on the 64 bit client now since it is unified (both versions are together).
ANet,
A while back I posted a bug with the 64 bit client and multiple monitors in SLI (black screen, I need to reboot the PC to restart). Nobody answered. Now that it is forced, I have the same bug. I will go in and add the -32 switch to the command line to force it back to 32 bit, but a lot of people won’t know how to do that. I’ve seen many people posting problems with the 64 bit client. It just seems like the client really is not ready for mass (default) release. Just my opinion.
Hi
The black screen bug is not GW2. It happens in many games, I’ve had it happen also on Skyrim, Witcher 3 and Battlefront. There is also a White Screen equivalent for people using AMD cards. All these bugs started happening when graphics manufacturers started developing single suite drivers for regular monitors and VR, they are nasty and hard to get rid of.
I highly recommend visiting your graphics card tech support for it. I had to update my vid card Bios to get rid of mine, that is something that hardly anyone needs to do, ever.
You may even have more success if you switch this thread to the tech support section. Believe me, that if you have a 64 bit system, it is well worth to run the 64 bit client once you work out the kinks out of it, runs much faster, better, more stable. In the meanwhile, you can continue using the 32 bit client as posted above.
I have Skyrim and do not have this problem when running 3 monitor SLI. This is the only program I have that has this problem.
I have never had a crash using the 32 bit client, except for maybe a couple of times during meta events with hundreds of other players around me.

Buy them at 2g then. Or 3g. Or, don’t buy them at all. It’s an open market.
Devs, do you have any input on this issue? Thanks!
Is anyone else having problems running the 64 Bit Client with 3 monitors (5760×1080) in SLI Mode (GTX 980Ti)? After I login and choose my character, the game loads, then the screen goes black. When I run the 32 bit client, everything is fine. I’d like to run the 64 Bit Client to see if I get less crashes during events.
Well, I don’t how this is pay to win, but whatever. I have played since Day -3, crafted all 5 of my Legendaries (I bought the precursors from gold I earned), and have very little else to spend my gold on. I don’t PvP. Anyway, my post was meant to be positive, and a thanks to some honest, nice people.
Well, I paid for 48 runs in World 1 (About 130g, some runs were given for free). I did it more for the Ascended Weapon and the Aura than for the skins. I wanted to take a moment to credit the GW community. In 48 runs, I never got stiffed once. There were a couple of runs that did not work out, and in every case the runner refunded my gold. I met some nice people, and it was really nice to see so many nice and honest people. Thanks to all that helped me out.
Tribulation mode is earned huh? How many of you did it with a guide?
I see no problem with this at all.
32 Bauble Bubbles x 250 Bubbles/Bauble = 8000 Baubles. Considering Princess Miya’s wig is about 19 silver now (trade for 5 Baubles), it would cost 320 Gold.
800 Gems is still a good deal!
You can carry 250 max without the purse, 500 with the purse. If you take more than that inside the world, you cannot add any more baubles.
I bought the Infinite Continue Coin yesterday to show my support. And, I know I will only be able to use it 3 weeks a year.
BTW, for someone who is not very good at jumping puzzles, it makes SAB a lot less stressful.
Nice analysis Danikat. This one was like hitting the long shot at the track!
On March 20th, they were about 13 copper each. Someone bought up half of the outstanding supply (about 20,000 of them). This was 11 days before SAB came back, and as I remember, the wig could not be converted to baubles before this SAB.
Any speculation as to what happened here?
You can get a 25% speed bonus with a Mesmer now, as a Chronomancer.
