Ranger Pets are Awesome -but how about giving the player the choice for different play styles?

1. I agree Ranger pets would greatly benefit from being able to hit moving targets and use skills more reliably. Sadly this would be hard to do without instant cast pet abilities and pets being able to attack while moving. But if you want your pet to hit your target more reliably try carrying frost and spikes traps or muddy terrain.

2. Rangers kindof already have this one with signet of the hunt. Having their own unique movement speed increase outside of combat would be unfair to other classes. Although Signet of the Hunt could really use a buff to 25% to be able to keep up with thieves.

3. I’m not sure what you mean by this one. We have a lot of great skills that work well with different play styles. Some of our weapons don’t feel well tailored though. Greatsword being the biggest concern.

1. I should not be forced to bring specific skills to achieve proper function for a profession specific mechanic

2. The Ranger has a complete lack of mobility skills/traits/effects and being Medium armor…that’s a no no. (No your Warhorn doesn’t count!)

3. I’m going to make a post detailing this soon as to explain it better but what I mean is how our utility skills force you to play to them and not aiding in your choice of weapon skills.

Yes, I believe this was the intended use of the Ranger class. We all wish something like this was viable but the problem is it is nowhere near it. I don’t need to go into detail about exactly why our pets are useless, it’s be said over and over and frankly, until those reasons are addressed the Ranger (much less Beastmasters) are never going to be viable with such an unreliable profession mechanic. Sad but true and it needed to be said here.

As far a contributing goes;

The Ranger is flawed at it’s very basis; Mobility, Profession Mechanic, and Skills.
By design, the Ranger is not in any way suited to Siege or Defend places (applying to WvW). In such instances your pet becomes drastically less useful, if not completely, therefore limiting you. As such you should play to your strengths; Ranging. The Ranger should be the superior Ranging profession. They should be the Scouts, Roamers, and Skirmishers. Why is this not viable?

  • Unreliable profession mechanic
  • Complete lack of mobility (if you say Warhorn skill #5 makes up for this I will kill you. +angryface)
  • Complete lack of Skills that aid and contribute to this goal. (Such as but not limited to: No condition removal, no sun breaks, lack of snares, etc.)

Now I’m all for Ranger/Pet tag team as your post illustrates but the problem with that is that it does not address the current issues. We don’t know how to balance Ranger’s pets because they are just that unreliable. Maybe they are currently perfect in most regards to stats and damage but cannot show it due to the way they are designed. This is a great post but it came too early. One cannot balance a game when the game itself is broken. (This applies to more than just Ranger/Pet synergy)

Until;

  1. Pets can hit moving targets and use skills more reliably
  2. Rangers are able to move faster than normal outside combat
  3. Rangers gain access to skills that contribute to play styles, not ones that create their own.

To be perfectly honest I think the Profession as a whole needs a complete rework centered around the above 3 points. Until that happens the Ranger a whole is never going to be truly viable.

@Sleepy
Just lol. Its clear and admitted you don’t know what your talking about and on top of that you assume that because someone is angry and unpleasant at a particular time that they are always thus. If that was not enough, you then proceed to assume for yourself that I said anything like “omg don’t play ranger it is horrible” which I clearly did not but instead sympathized for the new ranger for when he does uncover exactly how Rangers get the shaft in WvW (generally speaking) then stated a fact about our profession mechanic. I suggested trying other classes in a different post(which is something everyone should do anyways), which was not infracted and despite your negative connotations on similar posts this one was polite and detailed. Finally, you yourself are doing the exact same thing you complain about other people doing but with a reversed topic. There’s a word for that….

@nldixon
I really do appreciate your concern but frankly I’ve been posting on forums for a long time and I’ve ceased to care. I can’t even play the game at this point because professions I like are so unstable. I used to contribute a lot to suggestion conversations and help threads but as you can imagine, that gets old, fast. It’s at the point that there are no more new suggestions because everything that can be said has been said and we’re still waiting for updates, much less, bug fixes. Then, when you do get on forums and see a post asking “Is it that bad?” Then reply with not only a confirmation but then facts and experiences to back it up gets infracted and/or trolled by other plays for simply answering a question in a polite, but unfortunately, negative tone. I’m just done.

@OP
I’m sure your answer has been found by now and I wish you the best of times on your Ranger and/or any other profession you settle on. Take Care.

Yes, the fact is you did not see my posts. Y post if u have nothing to say on topic? I think you’re confusing trolls with humans

Same reason as why you made your three last posts. As i said, don’t get mad, i didn’t see your posts, but watching one of your last posts i believe i was quite right about the part that some people only post to whine “ranger is so bad, make another class”.

My last 3 posts have been made for different reasons as yours have been made only to attack me. As I said in the soon to be infracted post. I replied to a comment about how ineffective lower levels are in WvW with “it’s noticeable more so on a ranger due to the inherent low damage…” which was relevant because not only was it about the specific profession the OP created but is also a fact that because damage is split with the pet, when the pet cannot perform.. neither can you. So why would you infract that post? Because I told the truth or because I was on topic? My rude tone as of late is because of the way I have been treated as of late, you make the mistake to assume it is naturally always there and was in previous posts. You’re doing the same thing you claim to hate. Make my day more please.

Have you ever considered they removed these posts because the OP never asked if he should or not make a ranger to begin with?

I didn’t see your posts, but it’s a fact that some people just post to say “reroll to another class, ranger is the worst blahblah” even if it’s not related with the topic. I find that perfectly fine, it’s getting really boring to see the same people whine on every single post in the ranger forum, even if it has nothing to do with the thread.

They removed three of my posts in this thread too. Two of which were actually on topic and part of a civil conversation with another player. One of the posts I can understand them removing.

It’s a inherited effect from the previous version of the skill chain which involved actually knocking back and then pouncing on your foe. When they updated the skill to give it a different effect they either forgot, or didn’t care to remove the root from these previous actions and its what causes this. It isn’t a bug, it was just an oversight and/or lazy skill alterations. You can disable the AA but you still get rooted when you do manually attack. Since it’s just the Ranger however there is no rush to fix it. Welcome to the club my friend^.^

ANET is fixing it,

They wont be nerfs

Its to bring a class in line with the others

instead of doing 18k damage in 2secs, it will be closer to 4 or 5 secs (Take assassins signet for example)

Have faith – will be fine

I played a BS build, and even in its current form I found a bleed build to be better dmg/survival so i made the switch. My crit gear will sit in the bank till i get bored and switch back

This is the point. There is a better option and yet BS still target of Nerf? I think I can tell you why. QQs. Sole reason.

Assuming the Longbow ever gets reworked in such a way that the projectiles are not slow as hell.
This game lacks a raw DPS bow option (despite the obvious Ranger fail attempt) and I personally think a silent bow is more thief friendly than a loud, obnoxious rifle. But, knowing that such a rework will probably never grace us… I guess I’m on board for a Rifle.

Bluntly: Real level and gear does play a role in WvW so don’t expect to be nearly as effective as a real lvl80. That being said, you can still function to some degree and if you roll in a Zerg it makes you feel better about it.

Lastly, I’m sorry you made a Ranger. Not to be a complete downer but I call it like I see it. It seems like an appealing choice, but it quickly gets discouraging. Tbh it could not be less fun (and by fun I mean useful) in WvW. I strongly suggest trying other professions out before investing too much in the Ranger. Sad but true. Either way, have fun.

4. Point Blank Shot Charged Shot. Ready an arrow that pushes back your foe. The longer you charge your shot, the more damage and the higher chance for a critical hit. Edit: I removed the part about chance to knockback, it will knockback 100% of the time even at 0s charge

Knockback: No changes.

Charge:
>1s: +10% damage, +10% critical hit chance, +1% critical hit damage
>2s: +20% damage, +20% critical hit chance, +2% critical hit damage
>3s: +30% damage, +30% critical hit chance, +3% critical hit damage
>4s: +40% damage, +40% critical hit chance, +4% critical hit damage
>5s: +50% damage, +50% critical hit chance, +5% critical hit damage

Range: 600 (750 with trait)

(Note: If there is no charge up, or only a very short charge up [e.g. <2s], the damage should be lower than the current Point Blank Shot. At the higher charges [e.g. >3-5s], it should definitely out damage the current Point Blank Shot).

Change this to have full range but only Knockback a foe if they’re within 600 (or 750) range and I’m on board.

These aren’t very thought out sadly, I was bored and threw a few suggestions out. As I said, some people like the dual function of weapons but it is true in terms of sheer effectiveness it is purely detrimental. The reason the Warrior is so popular is because of it’s fluid skill design. Having weapon sets that are fluid and serving a purpose should not be considered “following the Warrior” it should just be standard game design.

Anyways, again, just a few of many suggestions. Hopefully they get some thought going.

That’s cool. I’d just hate to see Thief become too similar to everything else out there. I like its duality, so for me, the fluid weapon sets concept just comes across as oversimplified. But, hey, that’s why we have multiple professions.

Yeah man, I fully understand your point. No worries^.^ I’m just the type of person who likes to really maximize the effectiveness of all the skills I choose to bring and having so many weapon sets be designed to serve two purposes just kind of irks me, that’s all. But the way I set up the D/D suggestion that I explained to Zunhar actually keeps the dual function you love so it may be worth looking at. Also, it doesn’t become too much of an issue as it is now though because it limits the number of skills you actually care to use therefore in a way, helping to manage Initiative. But still…irksome to someone such as myself.

@Zunhar
The reason I suggested a change to Backstab instead of LDB (which I would personally much rather see changed) is because tbh, if you had another way to apply very damaging conditions on the Dagger weapon it would actually begin to synergize with the natural high damage of the weapon skills. (i.e. Heartseeker becomes legitimately usable when a target your conditions are DPS’n gets low instead of just a redundant damage spam due to it already high raw damage)
In addition to this despite how much I like the idea of Tactical Strike myself I find it just plain unviable in the long run. Same problem with Surprise Shot on the Shortbow. Good ideas, I just think they’re not conducive to the Thief’s feel nor can they be used with any sort of effective frequency as their effects are rather indeed lackluster.
Finally, Pistols are indeed a complete mess but at the same time I feel Unload is kind of a staple of P/P so I think changing the first two attacks is the more appropriate option to be honest. I like the idea of applying vulnerability but due to the cost of Initiative to do so it becomes an obsolete effect. I would move the vulnerability to the first skill and have the second skill something like;

  • Body Shot: Shoot your target with a Poisonous(5s) shot. If target was already poisoned, they are instead chilled(2s).

This adds a conditional snare to the weapon which also synergies with poison if it happened to already be applied if used right by increasing the recharge of the now less effective Healing skill.

To take it even 1 more step further; Removing the condition damage stealth skill “Sneak Attack” for something maybe like a Pistol version of the Shortbow’s “Surprise Shot” but adding in additional damage or vulnerability would probably synergize a whole lot more with the Pistol than it does Shortbow.

Anyways, again, just a few of many suggestions. Hopefully they get some thought going.

Please read past the first sentence if you’re reading it at all…
Also, the topic is actually “Quick ‘little’ Thief Suggestion”. How that tripped the sensitive filter idek.
Take Backstab off of Daggers and instead give the stealth skill some form of damaging condition application and make Daggers a Condition damage weapon instead of what it is now.. a mess. Currently there’s the high damage, burst skills, on the bar and then the condition ones. If you spec either way you’re not using some skills to their full potential. Find a common goal for the weapon set. (Same advice for Pistol fyi)
Then, take Tactical Strike and give it Backstab’s functionality and rename it Impale. This makes Swords the powerhouse they feel like they ought to be.
Finally, exchange the two offhand pistol skills for two completely different skills.
- Ex:

  • Skill4-
    Disrupting Shot:
    Fire a shot that Blinds(5s) and Dazes(1s).
    Minimal Damage, low initiative.
  • Skill5-
    Vanishing Shot:
    Fire a shot that explodes in a smoke cloud when fired granting you stealth and explodes on impact Blinding nearby foes.
    Moderate damage, same initiative as CnD.

These skills are just quick, on the spot suggestions but keep the feel of the offhand pistol the same as it is now but finally granting it the stealth ability it was lacking to allow proper utilization of stealth skills.

More than aware some people like the mixed skills on the weapon bars but I don’t. I like having a weapon set serve a defined purpose and as it is now, most of the sets have skills that just don’t belong in the general feel of the weapon and I didn’t even cover them all… maybe later I’ll put something more detailed together. Anyways, commence the traditional flaming that accompanies alterations to Assassin classes.

Assassin classes with bursts and high mobility are always, always poorly balanced. I’m sorry to say it but I don’t have faith they will do this right. I want to! But I don’t.

People QQ because they get instagib’d by a character who put every single skill, attribute, and weapon into a single burst for a single target. It’s pathetic and I thought ANet was above listening to such QQ. I don’t care if you think it’s “Easy to do”. It should be if you invest everything into it and your opponent is caught off guard.
Hate all you want but getting killed by a spec’d burst character is your own fault as well. There are so many tools in this game you can abuse to avoid it and yet its all just QQ. Nerfing “the raw DPS” of a weapon set who’s absolute sole purpose is high burst DPS is like taking birth control while trying to have a child. Simple as that. Have a good night and I’m sorry it’s come to this.

Just wanted you guys to know we’re looking at this specifically right now. We will probably bring down the raw spike DPS for some builds, but we’ll be careful to increase other areas to compensate.

Just make a thief, go paid tournaments, and see for yourself how “overpowered” this is. It is just ridiculous how devs make decisions based on qq and not on actual facts. The guy that started the thread does not provide anything, just vague numbers of someone in unknown spec versus someone else in unknown spec, and if devs base their decisions on such things, then i better roll a warrior, coz i know u guys play him, even buff, and you will think twice before nerfing your favorite class, yeah.
And i know you don’t “just” nerf things based on qq, but it seems that you don’t test things for real before changing them and just believe in all that exaggerated_overblown_so_much idea that thief is overpowered. Don’t do your work for the sake of stopping qq, please.
I get destroyed by mindwrack+blurfrenzy mesmers in tournaments, but i dont qq about them, i enter their forum and see almost no qq, and this is because people dont understand mesmers, and they dont even know what to qq about, but the thief, oh the thief is much simpler to understand and to qq about.
Thief forum is just a bunch of bad players, go to spvp forum, not much qq about thieves there, guess why?

This.
You already did the appropriate “nerf” with Assassin’s Signet which was the right call. Stop nerfing fluffy kittens. Nobody wants to see a repeat of the Assassin oblivion nerf from GW which is an obvious fallacy to bring up (Or is it…). But I agree with the above post, we’ll just roll Warriors and set up for exact same purpose, they can do it at 1200 range anyways, no big deal. Don’t have to worry about it getting nerfed either for more than obvious reasons. That’s not even a spiteful comment.. it’s just blatant fact at this point lmao.

I don’t take negative posts personally. Rather, I try to put myself in their shoes, listen to what they’re really trying to say (once you get past the rage), and try to find a way to fix the cited issues, if I think they’re good for the game.

Player personally made quite a few very hurtful posts towards the devs for various reasons while making a point or two (feel free to view history). Player glad you can look past the negative but Player doesn’t feel like that’s an excuse to attack each other. Player guilty of it and Player do feel bad for some of it. As Human said, very passionate. Player sorry that sometimes Player have a hard time controlling Player frustration. What fuels Player rage more than anything however is the sense of abandonment. Player don’t feel like Player on the same page as Human anymore. Player always said ANet was favorite company if only for one reason; the amount of communication Player can expect from them on a regular basis. Lately however Player have not been feeling that. (Player mainly talking about the mess on the Ranger forums) Player knows every single person there is probably swamped working on one thing or another and it isn’t really your job to do this but, can Human(any one who wants to) just set aside a few minutes at the end of the day and each post a short comment on what you did or are planning to do? Player would love to be able to log on to forums and go to a little sub section in a dark corner of the forums where different Humans just go to spew thoughts, plans, frustrations, and even hopes for anything GW2. Player want to share your passion for the game again. To put it bluntly, Human keeps Player under control. Looks down in guilt
Player let you go now as Player understands Human are busy.

Lol.

Just lol.

Makes me all warm&fuzzy inside to how out of hand this post got because people get defensive when you reference backstab or any of the other combos a Thief uses to deliver high burst damage. Only viable build? No, of course not. But you’re kidding yourself if you don’t admit it isn’t a huge aspect of the class. The point of this thread which was kind of poorly put is this;
Thief’s Goal = Kill target and/or cause mayhem
That you cannot deny. Yes, he has many ways to do it and many sneaky ways to avoid death but that’s the goal.
Assassin’s Goal = Positioning
The Assassin was the one who would be in your base screwing with you and then vanish after he forced your teams hand and capitalize on opportunities gained by opposing player’s actions.
Which one is a Thief and which is the Assassin? That’s the point. GW2 is not GW however and the Thief’s deception ability is near to the only thing you’re going to get to “Thief-like” so therefore it may not feel exactly as “Thief-y” as you want but with how GW2 is designed it is still actually more of a “Thief” than anything else. Not what I was personally hoping for and I do feel the namesake was lost however it’s what you get in this particular game. Just to make everyone feel better about it here’s another similar case they lost sight of;
Ranger- “Rangers are proficient with the bow. They rely on a keen eye, a steady hand, and the power of nature to slay their targets. Their loyal pets, which rangers tame and train, distract enemies while the rangers strike safely from a distance.”
So don’t feel bad the Thief may not be as much of a Thief as you want, at least it functions and that’s the important part.

I pointed this out in a post a long time ago:

GW Assassin = Thief

GW2 Thief = Assassin

The GW Assassin was exceptionally mobile and deception based who had to apply pressure where it needed to be when it needed to be. That was the key. A GW2 Thief is a burst powerhouse specializing in assassinations. Personally I liked the Assassin better because I like movement and guise better than simple raw damage. That’s what I thought I was going to get with the Thief. I was sad to find out this was wrong.
So yes… they got something mixed up and lost sight of the original namesake.

The point was obviously missed and I am sorry for that. Perhaps if I was better able to communicate my exact thoughts without illustrating each and everyone of them in great detail it wouldn’t have. Maybe it still would’ve been though. After all, you cannot see the sun with your eyes closed. The class is far from perfect due to bugs/balancing issues as I have already said and that we can all agree on but the fact remains the same; your skills are still very goal oriented which is more than I can say for some professions. The fact that many people fail to see what they do have because they’re busy comparing themselves to others is indeed an issue here. This is not even worth arguing though because I could lay down every single good point for pages on end and the only thing anyone would respond with is, “Well, XXX can do this.” I do not blame you, I understand what its like to have a malfunctioning class due to bugs and possible imbalances but to lose sight of who and what you are because of it…well, that’s undeniably an issue here as well. And you must have a hard time applying critical thinking to things you’ve read. But it’s okay, you’re forgiven. I don’t expect much from forums.

  1. I said “Just some…”
  2. I said “…how many ways…” not “These are so cool.”
  3. If you want to call a Dark/Poision Field + the numerous Blast Finishers a Necromancer has “useless” and that AoE weakness and AoE blind are not great then you yourself should probably not be talking.
  4. You failed to grasp the main point which was not “These combos are so cool” but instead “This class has numerous ways in which skills can interact with each other (not just combo fields) that allow for a skilled player to greatly increase his effectiveness.”
  5. Your narrow minded grasp of literature and very clear ignorance of GW2 professions betrayed you this time, I wish you luck in the future.

(As a note for you, the thief also is one of those professions who is able to come up with several interesting combinations of skills for a goal. 1 button wonder builds are popular but the Thief as a whole allows itself much more versatile and in-depth mechanics than you give it credit for.)

I started playing my Necro last night and I have to say that I am absolutely amazed at how many ways the skills a Necromancers have access to can interact with each other.
Just some examples of what I mean:
DS-> Dark Path -> End DS -> Dagger spam.
Well of Blood -> Putrid Mark -> Putrid Explosionx2 = AoE Healing, AoE retaliation(x3), AoE condition removal, and lots of damage.
Well of Suffering -> DS -> Life Transfer. Destroys anything within range and keeps you safe.

There’s so many more possible combinations I didn’t mention and I’m still a baby Necro. There’s a debilitating number of bugs, that’s for sure and I cannot speak for end game damage balances myself but as irritating as those are you can count on bugs eventually being fixed and slight balance issues being addressed. As far as skills go I am very pleased. For a person such as me that loves to maximize skill effectiveness and on top that, combos, the Necromancer is a fun and great class to play.

It’s still funny as hell.

Idk if any1 has seen it but there’s a cool post on the Warrior’s thread with high damage screen shots. There is one with a crit on a poor bunny for more digits than I can count… and I can count pretty fluffy kitten high! xD

The other threads, as I already said, are not only labeled to be specific, have become that way, or reference a developer’s words in spite and/or impatience. This one’s title is passive and welcomes others, the OP explains why it is here and it’s goal. I do not see that in other posts.

Please stop distracting the conversation because that’s how these posts die. If you dislike it it, fine, then ignore it. Thank you.

I actually wish these threads would be consolidated or, heaven forbid, we get some substantial response from a developer.

That’s the purpose of this thread if you did not read. I want to put everything in one place.

Thank you very much, all of you for your contributions thus far! I can not sit down and read them as much as I want to atm but I will get around to it and try to respond to everything I can.

You know dude.. you’re awfully irate off for someone who came in here who tried to be a smart fluffy kitten by calling out every Ranger on the forums and when the very own format you tried to use was used against you, you rage. Just go. Come back later with a real post please.
You were the one who gave them a reason to close your own thread. There was no discussion subject in your OP, just a poor excuse to try to start a fight. It worked. Move on.

It says the vitality of a Black Widow is less than Jungle Spider but I imagine that would be a mistake in the wiki.

It isn’t. It is a HoM pet reward from GW2 which they made have lesser stat points for no reason. Since they have the same skill set it basically says “Hey, thanks for playing GW1 so much, here is an drastically inferior pet with the same skills as a different one:)”. Which doesn’t even give us unique pet skins, just unless pets.

Purpose:
There are currently many topics for Ranger suggestions ranging from pet specific threads to Shortbow alterations to Trait changes. I wanted a place where everyone can share their ideas in a single thread. I hoping this becomes a hit because personally I hate having to check 10 different posts to keep up with all of the suggestions.

Read First Please!:

GW2 Ranger Suggestions

I’ve been asked a few times to post this in non-google.doc link. The problem with that is…It’s seriously 5 pages long! That’s right, 5 pages of pure suggestions for the Ranger. Google.doc allows me to keep it easily updated as well. There are many things here that you may have seen elsewhere in the forums. All I ask is that if you have an idea to suggest please check my link to see if it was already addressed. If it was, just simply say something like, “@Sco I agree with XXX change because YYY and disagree with XXX change because YYY.” If you want to post a new suggestions please make sure it is sectioned nicely and easy to read. (Similar to my link’s format)
Lastly, it is important that all suggestions come with reasons. Explain why you think something should be changed and the intended goal of the change! Thank you!

Necromancers Shouldn't be Demonologists

Quote is broken so I gotta do it this way.

OP:
“ANet’s vision is cool for all the non-minion stuff, however the minions have absolutly no trace of mindless undead, bro… They are demons… Obviously demons…”

This is called an opinion. This entire argument on this thread is off of an opinion that the OP deems fact…Just stop and let him be.
Just because the body becomes all mangled, distorted and bones stick out does not make something a demon. (Which, correct me if I’m wrong but are generally spirits) Because you as an individual find that mangled corpses with bones sticking out and missing flesh to be “demons” does not make it a fact. Maybe the more spectral minion is more about what you are referencing however it is more likely that it is simply a reanimated body of a spectral creature from the UW, which does not directly make it a “demon” in GW lore. The only thing that is a fact here is that in GW1 they required to be risen from bodies and that the developers classify them as “undead”. Those are the real facts here, not “They’re obviously demons”. End of story, sorry to rain on your parade.

I love cave spider as far as ranged pets go. Combined with a few traits this F2 ability recharges 20% faster, applies cripple(trait), weakness, vulnerability(with additional vulnerability from opening strike), lasts for 2 hits, and has 50% longer condition duration.

I love skill synergy and maximizing affects like this. I can’t wait to hear what other people do with theirs! ^.^

Forget negative posts...How about some positive news from ANET?

Personally I’ve said it before and I’ll say it this one last time. I don’t care how bad Ranger gets, I will always love it. But I can’t stand to play something who’s base effectiveness is becoming a severe limiting factor. It isn’t fun. Yes, one can still be effective with a Ranger but at what cost? Imagine what that effective Ranger could do using something else. I want to have faith in ANet that they will “fix” it but at the same time I’ve become so hard-hearted towards the very notion of hope that they will. All I want is a 3-5 sentence paragraph from a dev that could take all of 5min to write up telling me 1 thing; Their intentions. Don’t Know? That’s fine! Just communicate with us. Feel we are all acting up for no reason? Say so. Why would it be so hard for a message at the end of the day before the lead Dev working on X profession(s) to take 5min before he goes home and just says “Got some testing done today, like/disliked it though so it may/may not need more work.” It doesn’t tell us anything but at the same time it lets every single player out there know that they are not alone.
I always loved ANet for their dedication to their players and how open they were. It was a nice change from Nexon’s literally 0 (no joke) support that’s for sure. I don’t see that at the moment anymore though. Maybe they are all too busy focusing on other issues, that’s fine too, but they need to communicate with us about it. I don’t speak for every single person on this forum but every time I read something angry it’s angry because the players feel betrayed and alienated. The only way to fix that is with communication. Until players start to see that they aren’t going to stop.

Done with this sub forum until I see a Dev response in here somewhere about their intentions for this profession.
Everything posted now is just repeated information and it’s getting worse and worse. This is not a fun place to be, not a fun profession to use, nothing works right or is effective. No hope in any way, shape, or form but blind faith in gods who have only remained silent.

I wish you all the best of whatever it is you’re looking for.

Beast Master Trait Suggestion

My problem with that tho is that most of them are just insanely “bleh” the crippled 1 is nice but how does that go with ur pets F2? Spiders and Dogs usually already have have some sort of snare as the F2 already. Not to mention the wolf’s Fear actually becomes less effective if you cripple them. 3s of stability on activation for bears… why? Rolled into one trait would maybe be viable however I’d much rather see them affect whichever species I wanted.
