Its pointless. This game is not worth fighting for and its clear that there is too many idiots to fall for this crap. Enjoy it while you can because on that day when the toy airship comes, will be a far greater Lag day than lost shores event while this toy airship, rains down gifts from above.

Yes, I know very well he passes out gifts before that day. However, have a gut feeling about the raining gifts of presents.

Edit: I am shocked why this thread is not closed with a Dev reply “Thanks for the Feedback.” Just allowing it to stay open to allow trolls to give leeway to Arenanet by posting how great and wonderful Arenanet is, is sickening.

Yes and this is what ticks me off, people’s intelligence are slim to non, this is why people who are smarter, get aggravated when games try to combine Sci-Fi with Magic, because it causes too many loop holes and plot holes, which is clearly shown here.

Ofcourse people, who don’t understand like it, for v arias reasons, enjoy the illusion of it. Unfortuantly with GW2, most people view MMOs as “Content Update”, “Shinies”, “Mounts”, and “PvP”.

Most people don’t care about lore because they are too simple minded to understand deep lore about things. A perfect example is “Wizard” PC game and “Everquest”, people stop understanding it so todays MMOs have to dumb it down quite a bit.

The argument is…, someone said at the end of GW1, Asuras were introduced with their golems. 500 years later, we still use golems and yet centaurs with sticks, shields, and swords made out of iron, are still a problem versus a high technology race that was available?

Please explain to me, how this makes sense. On top of that, we are soon in future content update, going to have a “Flying Golem Airship”, that’s clearly shown in the picture provided by Arenanet, that’s larger than Life.

No they would not because we have “Airships” remember? So just bomb them down. Since we do not have any ground weaponry that could shoot high into the air, its basically a simple win.

That’s why I put Centaurs as a example of a target because they seem to be a major threat to humans for the last 500 years and yet we have Airships, take the air, and bomb them down.

Race becomes extincted, problem solved.

Edit: Okay this is really P.O.ing me off.

If you have ever played Final Fantasy 6 (FF III in America) that game has a perfect set up on how to mix technology and magic and show the consequences of too much war.

Is that why Arenanet went into big deal about the lifestyle, anatomy, culture, and the logistics of how each race is and are, what they offered, in the books they offered?

I’m sorry but you are becoming a bore now, this is pointless to argue with people that has little to no imagination and are stuck with today’s real life logic and how to include today’s technology into it.

At least Final Fantasy MMO does a better job at the lore, sort of, on how magic and high technology have come together and evolved with one another on mergement and has created an idea world on how certain creatures have adapted to the technological advances by evolving themselves, where as this games biological set up is all over the place.

I remain unconvinced and this winter’s event with a “Flying Golem Airship” has convinced me that the lore has went to crap in GW2.

No I’ve seen that in the Black citadel, and again that’s something I am confused about as well. Why Technology of that degree exist in that that type of era, in a med-evil type environment, with creatures using swords and magic still for war is beyond me.

Since there are a few parts in the lore that shows that we should be having cell phones, Kindles, and TV advertisements in cities, with the Technology we are allowed to be capable of lore wise, why are we still stuck in using simple guns, basic weapon dry, and basic magic versus high tech technology where we could be making Laser Swords, Laser Guns, combined with magic?

I HATE loop holes like this in PvE lore.

You can have Pistols and Rifles, in a Fantasy game, its based on Wood and Iron combined with math and engineering. I agree the Flame Thrower is a bit much but I dismissed it with the idea of “Fire” magic being used as a basic fuel.

I also payed 150$ because I liked the Charr race, but I also believed that Arenanet promised that the Guild Wars 2 Lore, would be a living breathing experience that made sense.

The PvE lore, doesn’t make sense, and again they made Asuras, too powerful of a race and since the game went live, all the content updates, dynamic events, and dungeons talk about nothing but Asuras.

If I wanted to play a Sci-fi MMO, I play “Star Wars”. Already a person said here in this thread that Asuras can literally do anything.

So what’s next, “Laser Swords”… I mean “High Density Power lights”?

Yes, but Technology is more Sci-Fi. Having underground mushroom looking people, as “mad Scientist”, in advance technological stages, in a fantasy game, does not make that race a fantasy race and thus since Arenanet keeps on heavily talking about that particular race in the lore, you basically don’t have a fantasy game.

No, I agree the Technology is getting out of hand, lorewise. Having helicopters and Submarines is too much to add and its very close to open the idea of space ships.

Having any of these ideas at disposal for war or exploration in a med-evil type environment with other races that still uses swords and shields with basic wizardry magic, really messes up the game flow of the lore.

Anyone with a high tech gun could wipe out an entire race and even with Airships, one could drop bombs from above and wipe out the Centaurs or any other minor races.

The games lore is confusing enough without having a Golem Airship making toys.

No I redirected your point that no one in the pact would bother making this thing, which leads to this being hosted by Inquest, which means another rehashed lore content about Asurans again.

Except that people in the Pact did bother making this thing — asurans are a part of the Pact. I’m not sure if you realize that or not.

The Inquest have gathered most of their golemancy knowledge from Snaff, who is more or less a post-mortem, de-facto member of the Pact. This is exactly the kind of thing that Snaff would have built, too.

Maybe you should take a step back and stop blindly raging at the asura for doing something insane and irrational. It’s sort of their M.O.

Yeah but the WHOLE point is that Arenanet claimed that regardless of holiday event, it will affect the world in lore as it progresses, and really all Arenanet focuses on is “Asuras” and “Inquest”.

I am getting tired of it. I mean seriously, there are other races, and minor races, and lore wise, I have seen NO updates or Change, during the content updates and it seems its always about “Asuras”. You cannot have a Lore focus on one race and not show or reflect how it affects other races and what/how/when the other races do what during that time line.

Sorry but there is a “flaw” in the lore I’m afraid.

In Charr lore Cubs are given their first “Weapon” which could be a gun, sword, axe, or a bomb.

That’s a cool gift! But I am Charr after all. I think Norn gifts would be something that involved with alcohol or a a great hunt. Sylvari gifts would be plants of some sort. Humans… well toys I suppose.

Floating castle has always been about pure magic.

A floating Golem airship made by Asura technology, with a Asura making toys, which by lore Arenanet has made them a “Mad Scientist” race type, has shown in lore and dynamic events, of causing catastrophic permanent world damage.

Again… if Arenanet is going to make this story mode on how “Inquest” are involved and the Heros of the world have to go into that Airship, which I already know is going to be instance and we have to kill evil toys and save the golem airship, I am going to puke for the reuse and rehash of this story in-your-window rehash.

Also since Arenanet already stated that the golem airship suppose to appear in cities, you guys should be freaking out about the major LAG it will cause!

Sorry but I am just, criticizing Arenanet on wanting to make a believable story lore and this golem airship thing, is probably the dumbest if not the stupidest idea they have ever came up and came out in future content update.

Like Mad King Thorn made sense because its Halloween, everyone knows on Halloween, the portals to the underworld opens and so there is a limited time connection to the dead from the living world. It made sense that we visited “Mad King Thorn” ’s realm, because it was in the underworld, and in most games, its always been known to have evil twisted creatures and homelands.

This Christmas Asura golem thing, is crap. I don’t even feel compelled or want to celebrate the event if its going to be something this stupid.

Like, I don’t even know how to accept this really, Guild Wars Style. I am just lost and confused why it exist and how does it work with the lore?

I understand its an Asura and all but really… a Golem airship? Would had accepted giant floating cube or a regular airship but a golem?

Just being a nerd but… magic can only go so far and so does fuel. On top of that, wouldn’t having something that big would give leeway to the dragons into shooting it down, since the energy required to keep that thing a float and running would match that of a small nuclear bomb.

Also… why is an Asuran making Toys? Usually Asuras are all witty and snotty about being smart and a superior race, yet its making toys? Which lore wise, would be toys suited for a complex Asura child to play with. No other race would understand the toys Tixx would make.

/Opens Presents /receive “Mathematical entries of dimensional portions calculator”.

A human would had been better for the situation, if anything go Norn if that desperate. Really getting tired of Asura this and Asura that content updates. The race isn’t all that interesting.

Edit: Not sure why link went bad, posted the main page, from GW2 Twitter.

I have a couple of ideas but since this is a B2P and Arenanet has to rely on the Gemshop, My only advice for you is the boosters “Killstreak” and “Experience”.

“Experience Booster” can be upgraded to improve, which gives 100% experience and increases the duration up to 1 hour (Total).

Edit: Oh… and make sure you have a “Food” buff, boosters boost that too during your power leveling on killing mobs and events.

If you recall and remember everything, use those two boosters together and you should be able to power level fast.

Edit #2: Oh and I forgot about this, just before you finish your “Dailys” and/or “Monthly Dailys”, you can log on your alt and the complete them.

Also (Requires Guild or Friends) do an explore mode from dungeons and get to final boss area, switch to your Alt (Assuming you are not the group leader that started the instance), and kill the boss.

You can also do “Fractal of the Mist” instance at whatever level as long as people are following the guide lines: (1-10) (11-20) (21-35) (36-55) (56-67) (68-80).

Enjoy!

Also you can say that I might lose the special effects when transmuted the looks, however there is no confirmation by anyone with a video or by a Dev, saying I would lose it or not.

Stats from the Legendary will be updated when Ascendant weapons come out, claimed by Developer quote by Arenanet.

Citadel of Flames Path 3

@ Seren.6850

Was this recently? I am posting experience when I was doing this dungeon 5+ weeks ago when I was going for my “Dungeon Master” title.

All I remember is SW and NW would assist the other slimes when players try to single target pull and it was a pain.

Then players would start dieing at certain torch areas and had to run back, or the in-sync did not work and when we tried a second time, someones torch area had respawns then by the time they cleared it, another torch area had respawned.

It was a painful experience for my group but after 2-3 hours later we finally did it. Afterwards we got to the Gauntlet area, we couldn’t kill the last two flame shamans in time before the Flame Legion thieves had spawn, which wiped the group every time due to adds being summon by the shamans, fire AoE on the grounds, and thieves using CC abilities on a player that ended up killing them.

I think I spent an additional 3-4 hours, finding new PuGs before finally I got a Elementalist to help out with AoE.

The Puzzle part was super easy and the final boss was easy. I know some players complain he was a boring but to me and one other that stayed threw out the whole thing, it was a relief and refreshing sight that it went into easy mode. 7+ hours in a single path, using PuGs, was not fun and very stressful.

Edit: Also, this is why when I comment on forums or make threads, I base all my experience on PuGs. Guild Wars 2 was based on the idea of being a casual friendly MMO, and so this is why I get very insulted when people throw “Guilds” and “Friends” statements at me because that is not what I argue about and a large number of people are not fortunate enough to find a “Guild” or have “Friends” to help out.

So I dismiss certain posts people make because, usually when they complain/argue, its always about their experience is either “too boring” or “too easy”.

Too me, that’s not a strong argument against the idea of those that have to go the extra mile to accomplish the objective to enjoy the game and its PuGers that I stick up for.

Well not sure how you did it, but when you pulled mobs, you aggroed other mobs. Not sure if it was a bug when I did this path 5 weeks ago however…

North Torch has 3 Fire imps that hit very hard.
North East has 3-4 Shadow Imps.
South East has 3-4 Fire oozes.
South West has 4-5 Fire oozes.
North West has 3-4 Fire oozes.

However what made SW and NW annoying was the fire oozes would aggro to the other side when killing oozes.

Also posting something negative like Quote: “If you can’t manage that, then I’m sorry, but you shouldn’t be running a dungeon.”, makes your creditably have zero worth and non constructive.

All that “Brimstar.9036” was asking was why this path was annoying and we are posting why on things people avoid.

I do not like it when people like you mislead the information and lie! Please stop posting.

Edit: Also just to avoid in future “Troll” posts from other “Trolls”.

Please remember you had to place each member of your party, at a torch area. You placed your best players at the imp torches due to high damage, and the rest of the team members at the other torches to deal with oozes on their own.

High respawn time and then do not forget the in-sync torch timing. You have one chance to get it right, then respawns happen.

@ Kellie.3687

Thank you. I was posting the strat earlier on but was told to change it, so even though I vaguely put it in an updated post, I still left alot of “Hints” within the post and that “Hint” area. I do wish everyone the best of luck they try to get that far.

Also I am sorry, I did post earlier on the same post, of confirming the chest past level 30 being bugged giving less rewards. I was just rushing to edit and forgot, sorry about that folks.

Edit: To confirm there are no more Ascendant rewards other than the “Rings” and “Back Piece”. The Devs already said in the future that they will include more Ascendant items, in future patches. This should clear up any confusion.

I have been looking all over on Trading Post and Mystic forge recipes and even on GW2 wiki and no one can seem to know the weapon or discover “Lightbringer Tybalt Leftpaw” ’s rifle.

Here’s a picture of it. If anyone knows please tell me, I would like to have something to remember him by.

- Sincerely,
Ratchet the Tinker

Edit: To avoid confusion, I am asking for the PvE version for transmute.

Ascendant gear, go back to level 20 – level 25. Just repeat them over and over till you get infused.

In respect of my group leader’s wishes, I am editing this post to be more vague than what I was posting.

It is possible to get to level 57 in FotM.

The group make up is: Engineer, Mesmer, Guardian, Warrior, and Thief.

This includes alot of items, food, and gem shop items. Multiple gear sets.

I am not allowed to discuss any of the Traits, Specs, or Abilities or tactics used to get this far.

I am allowed to give hints on this matter: Team Work, Down State, and Buffs.

I wish you luck on this quest and dedication on getting this far.
