So since this section of the forums for SAB will be closing soon in a couple of hours, I want to bump this thread for one last attempted before shelfing this thread.

Could you please in your heart, SAB team, in posting the blue prints of the “Rytlock Brimstone Sprite” shown in the commercial? Not the one that was on the web browser in that mini 2D game.

It would make my Life so complete and joyful if I could get the blue prints on that.

Actually that’s not the question. It was already discussed among SAB fans and some hints from the Devs and from in-game that there will be no pre-quel or sequel of SAB.

So once World 4 is open, meaning we save the princess, that’s it.

So my question is, will there be a Grand Farewell event when its gone permanently.

Ofcourse seeing that Josh has already viewed this thread and this section of forums will be closed in a couple of hours, I believe I already have my answer.

All good things must come to an end but “Josh Foreman”, will there be a grand finale for SAB?

What I mean is when the final World is open and completed in SAB, right before SAB goes away forever, will there be a Tribute of some sort at the end in Tyria? Like Fireworks, Parade, or a Special Item to be given to players?

I know we are talking about years from now but I just wanted to know if some special event will be held for SAB that’s in the works or part of the plan.

Discussion happened because the OP didn’t like that I didn’t believe him, nor the friendly gesture given, and improperly handled the entire situation.

On top of that, its only me that’s doing all the real discussion here because they manage to “Troll and Trick” a developer in “the benefit of the doubt” with vague information and on top of that, been insulted/insulting me this entire thread as well a couple others that add to this thread.

There’s just a point of common courtesy of how far you can push people and sadly… I had to “gut” a few people to remind them about proper civil samaritan in conversations in speaking to other people while revealing their flaws about proper game reporting.

However I tire of this thread and pretty much all that was said, has been said.

First of all its “your word against mine set up”.

Secondly, I went to the extremely vague area that he mentioned in his second post and did alot… of weird things to reproduce this bug.

To my findings I was unable to reproduce the bug to make a proper reporting that your friend failed to do so other than making vague statements.

Then you go about saying that “I am right in entitled to opinion” when you just contradicted your statement by being offend that I called “Crazylegsmurphy” a liar.

First time he was extremely vague and even “Josh Foreman” try to give him the benefit of the doubt, after “Crazylegsmurphy” and a couple of other rude players try to “Troll” and “Ridicule” me for a misread post on their behalf; which in no way does it strike anyone that if read correctly, as being rude or reported, when all I did was reminded that mere fact how heavily the Guild Wars 2 rules are when finding areas like these and I did say “If the area was not reported earlier then you would be fine. Since it has, Try to avoid going into that area.”

Which ofcourse has been discussed or brought up by me other six other players that found these areas and could not decided whither or not to post the finds since “it can be” considered a type of exploit which is by then ban-able offense if you admit to it.

Since I love SAB alot, I went ahead just posted my findings to confirm for others and “Josh Foreman”. Now if your friend “Crazylegsmurphy” bug was true then I would confirm it for him and back him up.

However since then, your friend and others, including you, have been immature about the whole situation which lead me to believe he was “Lieing” about the situation in the first place.

Then you go so far as miss quoting: “but I don’t believe this MMO has that glitch”, my own quote which is completely a different subject that ties into a different topic which is only directed to “Josh Foreman” and not “Crazylegsmurphy”, hence if you read the statement correctly.

So yeah, I don’t believe your friend on multiple reasonings and I feel bad for “Josh Foreman and Team”, for being Trolled at which your friend has succeeded at a grand level with an obvious well known title used for nerd attraction and the multiple bump postings for insults.

Yeah “Glitches” like these do concern me when people are able to pass threw the walls because that tells me that something messed up in the “program” and/or “bad math” and so it can open up to the idea of hackers, easily exploiting it, to create a “Mirror” world.

Since I was unable to reproduce the “said bug in this thread” and today’s “BoTs” or “back then BoTs” have not found a way to gather resources underground.

I have nothing to fear and the program is solid for now.

It doesn’t bother me when people have fun with the accidents. I just appreciate it if they let me know where it happened so I can fix it.

Um… I PMed you about the area almost a week ago and updated the bug thread with screenshots how to get there.

The part with him saying he glitched threw the world by a some mushroom jump, is a hoax. I know there are glitches like that in other MMOs, but I don’t believe this MMO has that glitch otherwise, we would had a long… time ago, be hearing about characters under the ground farming nodes by BoTing methods.

Kinda find that “The result was that I could walk under the SAB from start to finish.” hard to believe because during my report I made sure I explored every nook and cranny and found large areas that will auto kill you, as if you fell to the ground, and return you to the check point.

However it is a speculation.

While this has been reported a long time ago, please refrain from going under the world. It kills the magic of SAB and doing so is breaking the rules which could lead you into trouble.

Now unless the area you were in was not reported way…. earlier from before, it would be okay but since Josh Formane and the Team knows about this, please avoid re-entering that area.

I just received this message today and did the required steps you mentioned.

I was unable to establish a connection to Guild Wars 2. So I reversed the method back to the normal settings and still was unable to establish a connection.

What’s causing this problem?

Edit: Update

I went ahead and downloaded the NCSOFT Game Advisor from another thread after browsing and doing the Test Run. In 20 minutes or less, I will submit a ticket.

If you can tell me anything else I can do. Please let me know.

Final Update:

Okay as soon as I finished the Testing, I went to go check if I could open it, after it told me to update my ticket with a copy and paste info; low behold, I can connect to Guild Wars 2 again.

What just happened? This makes no sense.

I played WoW as a hunter too. I remember at the very begining when Blizzard couldn’t make up their minds, what role Hunters were to play.

I remember Beast Master was a joke of spec because Pets would get stuck, on the spot, and would not move.

You were either MM spec or Survival. However survival wasn’t all that great either since traps had to be placed before combat.

Then came BC expansion; BM became viable with survival being loved at the end.

LK expansion; BM got nerfed and survival got love.

Cata expansion, class revamp, whoopy I have to relearn it again. MoP expansion, oh my gosh, class revamp again, but this time with simple stats, because Blizzard admitted that they could not “do” the math, hence MoP expansion.

You obviously do not know your hunter history, at all!

So overall to your question, is the pet system in Guild Wars 2, better than WoW’s pet system, during the very beginning of either game’s launch to the world?

Hmm… let me think about this. Hell Yes!

Now comparing Pet system in WoW, which has been tampered with for over 5 years and redesigned three times with a fourth redesign coming soon, compared to Guild Wars 2 which has had less than a year to tamper with to perfect and since both have completely different mechanics in use; in which one do I feel more promising than the other?

A: Sony purposely broke Vanguard, the fact you don’t even mention that, makes you ignorant of the history.

B: World of Warcraft is broken.

It was admitted by the Devs themselves that they could never balance of the Classes with in 1% damage field and that during Arena Seasons or T ornaments, a class of their choosing will always have an advantage of that season before getting nerfed and another class is buffed.

cough cough Season 2 Hunters “Explosion Shot with Stun” yeah… enough said.

What about the multiple times of re-designing of the system mechanics and classes after BC, LK, and cata?

BC was too hard with its CC requirements and so LK expansion, it was toned down HARD to a simple 1 CC required and maybe 2 with AoE focus spam.

Elitist complained and so in Cata, class redesign which brought back some need for more CC and less AoE. Bye bye armor piercing.

Then once again in MoP expansion, classes were revamped and copied alot of Guild Wars 2 mechanics of easy class respecing, which made a complete over haul in Glyphs and respecing, taking out cost for pet retraining and removed the need to pay for new spells or abilities.

Blizzard is old, its broken, the people that work for Blizzard get fired for not doing a good job of making tons of money for Blizzard of a re-hashed expansion.

The whole company its self is a moldy, foul, vile, loathing, piece of trash of a gaming company.

Sitting here and saying in your post that it isn’t broken? Don’t make me laugh!

This is confusing; assuming he was talking about that; the whole point is this, you can avoid some aggro pulling but not all of it.

The Devs specifically said that they do not want you to skip areas all the time because it makes the game “Dull and Boring”, hence why pets aggro mobs.

Since the game is heavily based on Role Play, you really don’t expect your pets to follow right on top of you and not aggro right… ?

Again, in World of Warcraft, if said person that I was replying to, did play WoW, is use to his pet taunting, tanking, easy to heal for tanking, or not aggroing with a low aggro radius.

Then he is wrong, and saying pets are broken, with little reasoning to back it up; is pointless.

While I can understand the “Hate” for the weapon skins, the following I say about this.

A: Sab doesn’t have much affection on the World of Tyria.

B: When Sab was created it was a side project for 3 people and later on 2 people added to help with programing.

C: Was never considered to be a main project and will always be a side project.

D: “Flame and Frost” is now coming to a close and new unrevealed project will be in the works after April 30th, give or take a couple of hot fixes.

E: “Flame and Frost” will have new weapon skins to offer, very soon, so the 8-bit will be old news.

F: An update in Sab will likely be around very late in July.

G: Only has 4 worlds with no hint of a prequel or sequel in future content.

H: The weapon skins are a “Fad” for now, and will most likely be a thing of a past, as newer and cooler looking skins both weapons and armor, that is not SAB, will be given to the public.

I: Why so serious about a reference to another company, particular a single person?

Problem is sir, is most people’s first MMO was World of Warcraft. A lot of people compare this single MMO to any other MMO or video games which in term, is poor judgement and ignorance.

People like them are not considered “Real Gamers” and not viable for debatable opinions.

Now the only thing “Blizzard” has accomplished is being able to take a 3rd rated, out of date, MMO; and manage to milk that game with little to no effort, for alot of money.

However, because of this, we now have many generations of gamers, that scream “PvP” or “Raids”, without trying different plat forms of gaming, and thus if their requirements are not met, they will bad mouth other MMOs.

Personally, I wish “Blizzard” the company, never existed. It has ruined future out comes of gaming and because of this, we will never hear other gaming plat forms, or the fact they will never see the light of day, without copying “World of Warcraft”, or have a lot of money and sponsorships to dare try something “new”.

Arenanet, did just that with Guild Wars 2, by breaking the “Holy Trinity”, however because people are so brain-washed by “Blizzard” games, they cannot think, outside the box.

It’s really really… pitiful if you ask me.

However, its recognized by the “Real” gaming community and by history of being the first of its kind, as an MMO, to break the chain.

Slight off topic.

The fact you compared this to Blizzard Game: World of Warcraft is epic fail.

WoW’s mechanics is based on the RNG and the Trinity.
Guild Wars 2 is based on some RNG but not focused and the Trinity does not exist.

I may not agree with all GW2 goes but when I went back to WoW paying an expansion, entering during 4.2 then a month later 4.3; I was flat out disgusted with WoW and felt I lost alot of money.

With the information I have now, if I had a choice to go back in time and choose which game was overall better to try out for gaming experiences. I would had gone with Guild Wars 2 and not bother trying MoP at all.

MoP was a rip off and I was a fool, felt cheated, and ignorant of how bad that expansion was.

So the fact you are trying to compare two completely different MMOs on how Devs run their game, maybe you should do your research first.

Actually no, I am not heavily into Guild Wars 2 to point that I would try to make a Job out of it, trying to make gold to convert to gems and since I really don’t buy anything from the Gem Shop, except for like 2 items during the Halloween event or free items that were offered.

I really have no faint or understanding of the “Health” of the marketing because I am a causal player and all I see every time I check back month by month is a steady increase in gold conversion to gems.

I am not that active enough in Guild Wars 2 to be even remotely interested in farming gold for a casual MMO that was meant for casuals but hard core players and marketing manipulation players, are effecting the game.

That’s why I posted in general because I figure I asked a simple question “Hey can you throw the skins out now?”

I didn’t mean to go way off topic.

Edit: Just to throw it out there, unless Arenanet makes “mind blowing” items from the Gem Shop that would make me consider of spending real money, there’s no point in spending real money.

Been playing video games and MMOs for over 20 years, I’ve seen it all and alot of times, there are just no items that are compelling enough to spend real money on.

I happy I bought the game but other than that the Gemshop doesn’t have anything cool to buy and I no longer bother with the Legendary Weapons anymore because its just a grind that’s just unnecessary and since alot of people have already showed off and video recorded Legendaries, their value of uniqueness or worth is about the same value of dirt.

I wouldn’t even bother with Legendaries even if it was handed to me, I would just simply disenchant it.

Yes, that may be true however Gold Inflation is getting out of control in GW2 to the point as you said, would make more sense to buy gems than gold conversion for Gemshop items.

However with such a few handful of people poisoning the Gem Price Marketing by forcing free to play players to the point that farming gold on the B2P game is becoming obsolete. No player would enjoy farming hundreds of gold for thousands of hours just to get a gem shop item that remains a secret until its reveal on said day.

With that said, at the current rate of converting gold to gems, increases 50-75 silver every 3-4 weeks. Soon 100 gems will cost 75-150 gold in 8 months or so.

Since those few people are saving all their mass gold and earning mass gold with the Legendaries, I would expect the market to go out of wack by the end of this year.

However, I figure I would at least ask if they would make a consideration.

Problem is, what if the skins that come out, aren’t really all that good? I could use that gold for something else.

So basically its a gamble either way since this announcement and won’t reveal everything.

So its really up to Arenanet, allow early skin access to get some profit over the course of 7 days or release them on April 30th and see how the communities’ reaction over it and gamble a positive or negative response after the inflation of gem prices.

I don’t see any harm in early activation on skins and would like to see if I should stock up on gems to get them before the prices spike.

Truly amazing and I enjoyed the screen shots in your gallery. Perfectly captures the essences of the game and I saw all the screen shots of “Mad King Thorn” and “Mad King’s Tower”.

Truly a shame people did not appreciate the tower and really sad to the point of crying that Josh Foreman and the team wont be able to make a “Mad King Thorn’s Tower” 2.0 version.

However I will lie to myself and hope that someday I will be proven wrong, this coming 2013 Halloween.

I know about the check point one but I was unable to find any ledges to get any closer.

It’s actually all the way up in the tree trunk where you jump on the mushrooms, if you know what place I mean.

Can you world-out this way?

Josh Foreman can you confirm the spot in question is fixed now? I have an idea what the spot is and how its done but I need to know if the wall has been adjusted so I can stop trying.

Super old thread but I just wanted to say that the Sprite in the 2D game that was released today, doesn’t match the one shown in the commercial.

I understand one person did the 2D but I am still interested in the original Sprite blue prints.

Also whenever I get the blue prints, would you guys like a battle simulation in 3D?

I will be using a the Final Fantasy Tactics Engine in Plains Field Area.

Its going to be a simple plot but it will contain Rytlock Brimstone and four Charr soldiers against a random encounter which will be kept a secret.

Let me know what you guys think.

Woot! I found all the treasures!

However some information.

You can have the maximum of 3 potions.
Not sure what the max is for baubles.

Basically the boss is a boss rush EQ method. Its possible to dodge the carrots by jumping backwards then forward the same time. As for the rabbits, once they are hit they go the opposite direction so its easy to hit them twice. Now as for the cabbage x4 spew that was tricky but possible, start from farthest one then go back and forward 4 times, basically you are running away the moving forward slowly.

Bug: Yes I found one, if you grab the treasure chest and try to run out too quickly, you will get stuck in the door in the boss room.

I went and checked and was not able to find it. There was one area I think might be possible but the jump seems to far to make.

Either way, pretty sure it by passes the check point, if you were going for the timer and if the SAB team was going to make a similar achievement like this, they would proably make it require the check points.

Not only that is defeats the whole purpose of using the gems, so yeah going to not count that, making adjustments to the rules.

True but you forgot the AoE Tongue, remember you cannot go below 75% of the amulet’s Life bar, so if you waste a “Fracture Gem” to avoid the Tongue you will fail that criteria of the achievement.

Once I do a couple more runs to adjust the balance, it will be up to the players to figure out the rest of the tricks.

Yes you can use the “Fracture Gems” you obtain from King Toad to be used on them. However you have to figure out the spots to reach them and… you cannot go below 75% of the amulet’s total life. So you have to plan wisely.

Tab targeting is not advise you have to manually Left-click and hold to manually browse around to be able to target the back row for those minions.

That’s a bit too hard since there is no “dodge” for this achievement. Also its meant to be hard mode, not extreme mode. I don’t mind if they use any of the stones during the “King Toad” boss fight.

Doing some Test Runs to make sure its balanced out but I may add another minute to the criteria to give some lee way.

Out of boredom I made a Hard Mode challenge for myself.

King Toad Boss (Hard Mode):

- Reach and engage King Toad in less than 4 minutes.
- Kill all the frog minions above King Toad.
- Do not use dodge the entire level.
- Avoid all damage once King Toad is engaged. (This includes poison water damage, the AoE tongue, and stomps.)
- Defeat King Toad with his amulet no less than 75% of its total health.
- Defeat King Toad before and after engaging him in less than 9 minutes.
- You cannot die, use a continue coin, or join another version of King Toad in a later encounter.
- Check Points must be active.
- Groups are allowed, just remember if they break the criteria of the achievement, they cannot get the achievement, it doesn’t affect you.

Achievement: No Opera’s tonight!
- Manage to thwart the Frog King and his minions on their daily night singing routine.

Title Reward: Frogger Stomper

Lets see how many people can pull this off to prepare for “Hard Mode” in the future!

I think Josh Foreman said earlier in a Dev video review that the Sword Chucks are one of those unique items that well belong to a boss in SAB forever.

Guys you disappoint me for the lack of ideas and… it can be so much more than blow out fires!

Mechanic System (Moto’s Breath):

  • Blows at the enemy to be knocked into a “Daze” with star animation.
  • Upgrade the breath to push an enemy farther to complete a puzzle.
  • Use the breath for environmental changes to solve puzzles, secrets, or other things.

- (Like I don’t know… allow the breath to change the direction of the raft during rapid rivers?)
- (Put out fires like [Joseph Skyrim.2470] mentioned.)
- (Moving debris.)
- (Pushing Baubles off of high ledges.)
- (Moving Mobs on top of switches.)
- (Cool off lava areas to allow a walkable pathway for a short time.)
- (Blowing air into holes to solve a music puzzle.)
- (Pushing boulders to make a path.)
- (Enrages the Bee Queen Dog for giggles.)
- (Moving a lily pad across swamps.)

  • Have the final upgrade for the Breath be used and required, to remove a Shield Buff from the Final Boss (The one that kidnapped the princess) to allow the group or player to damage the boss for a short time.

Josh Foreman are you writing this down? I’ll keep posting more ideas in Edits that come across once I review what mechanics NES and SNES did that involved with Air mechanics.

Edit:

- (Use the breath to freeze certain parts of the water to create ice blocks to jump on or use against bosses.) (That and to jump up water falls.)
- (Use the breath to spread fire.)
- (Use breath to clear fog/mist/clouds to reveal a pathway.)
- (Use breath on water falls {In none ice zones} to part the water fall to find secret passages.)
- (Use breath to blow up a bubble/balloon to make a transporting vehicle of some sort.)
- (Use breath to throw back objects, thrown at player, to the mob or a boss fight.)
- (Use breath to block certain special attacks, that are magical.)

Super Adventure Time!: Secret Purple Bauble

Not sure why you revived this thread its quite dead. However I’ve all lost interest in SAB and alot of changes in small patches or secret hotfixes have gone out and many baubles that were posted by me or other players or those that we kept secret to our selves have been removed or changed.

Some of us had found ways to really go out of our way to get to areas that arn’t possible and due to recent changes are not even possible anymore.

One of the theories my group came up with is that with the new speed run videos of World 1 zone 2 getting 350 bubbles every 4 minutes or so, stuff like this for an “Easter Egg” are things not worth doing.

Another theory is that just like “Mad King Tower” you could get extra candy from chest while jumping up, so was the extra baubles and extra purple baubles for the release of “Hard Mode” when those areas can be accessible.

The removed or missing baubles may return or it may not. However I understand why Josh removed some of them, just so to keep SAB fun towards the beginning levels (Worlds/Zones) without creating the need to find them for mandatory purposes.

Now going to your question, I have not been playing GW2 lately being burnt out from SAB and been playing Facebook game: Farm Ville 2 (Laughable I know but the game is addicting. Maybe something for future housing in home instances hint hint); but going back to your question. I am too lazy to go back and check if those baubles are there. What I can say for a spoil is World 2 zone 1.

In World 2 zone 1 the purple bauble that I am pretty sure that has not been removed (Until World 2 is completed late May or early May, depending when the team is ahead of schedule for “Frost and Flame” patch) is located right before the Ninja bridge under a cliff below the ninja bridge.

Now as for World 1 Zone 2, I there are two known baubles which I can share that has been hosted on this forum already.

One purple bubble is located in the water behind a leaf, the area with the Lilly pads you have to jump on. The area with turtles.

The other one is at the Third Check Point (Also shown in the screen shot) where you have to do some wall jumping. This bauble is close near the two red baubles.

Now as for the screen shots, I know they are old but towards the beginning it was rude to share secrets as that was considered cheating however now after so long. its safe to share some secrets but since some baubles were removed, no point sharing the other secrets me and my group has kept since they are removed.

Just to be clear, I have lost interest in SAB, for now, but still am awaiting for the rest of the worlds and gladly jump back on GW2 to play SAB again.

I got very annoyed with that jumping puzzle and took me a couple of half hours to figure it out, I agree I won’t do “that” puzzle ever again. However, I did admire that particular puzzle for how unique it is.

If Josh and the jumping puzzle team decided to make a 2.0 version of it, I think, as crazy as it sounds, would enjoy it.

Cage chests removed?

The daily chest are still there, just did this on my main and alts 15 minutes ago.

The daily chest reset around 6 or 7 PM server time.

The best way to know is when the dailys reset for Tyria.

SAB - Diminishing Returns on Boss Chests?

Guys Josh said that the skin drop is Quote: “1 in 50”. This event was also to last 30 days. That’s plenty of time to farm chest.

I know it may be a bit tedious if the it was 15 days or something but log on Alts “Not make alts and destroy.”, and farm the chest per day like a daily.

The skins from the chest are not Account bound meaning that if Josh increased the drop rate on skins from chest the market on the TP would be flooded.

I know people are getting lucky but they are using the Alt and Delete method.

Just endure it because before you know it late May, world 2 will be done (Maybe) and the new skins along with it.
