Siege already has no max targets, and superior arrow carts and ballistas can do the job just fine.

Mesmer, Guardian, Ele, War, necro, thief, eng, ranger.

This is not counting small 5 man skirmishes and they are in order and it’s simply my opinion. I feel any class can be built to perform tasks in wvw to their best. However mesmer portals, veil, and time warp are simply game breaking.

Yeah from what I’ve seen the wall exploit is becoming very common. I’d really like to see it fixed or something from DEVS saying it’s an exploit because right now with out those you can assume it’s WAI.

The “camp mesmer body!” is a joke, you cant break the afk timer while dead meaning you might have to camp that dude all night. Just face the fact that it’s broken and uninteresting. We should have the option to pick up enemy corpses and throw them off the side of the wall or something =P
For those unfamiliar with thieves or how people can get crazy stealth uptime inside towers and stuff. The #5 dagger off hand cloaks ya, its a little expensive except… you have a trait that returns some initiative after you use it making it not bad.
Other traits you can use to help achieve ultimate cheezness
Shadow Arts:
V Shadow Infusion : Gain 2 Initiative when using a skill that stealths you.
X Patience : Regain Initiative faster while in stealth.
Meld with Shadows : Stealth skills last one second longer.
Acrobats:
IX Quick Recovery : Gain 2 initiative every 10 seconds.
Skills:
Shadow Refuge, Infiltrators Signet, Blinding Powder.

You can actually achieve perma stealth without ALL of these, next time you and your mesmer buddy get in, have him die in a low visibility spot. You walk to a wall and CnD stealth until everyone leaves. Then go casually walk over to him while in stealth, res him while in stealth, and giggle, while you port your team back up.

They won’t find you, some abilities like the guardian aoe sword pull can kinda give ya away if they get lucky and use it near ya but overall just giggle as you watch a zerg running over you trying to find you.

Edit: also be sure to turn off your auto attack cuz that will give you the 3 second debuff.

Depends if they are using the cnd wall exploit where you can stack infinite stealth.

Pretty much this since cnd a wall doesn’t break stealth.

I don’t see them doing anything other than nerfing stealth by making ressing break stealth. Or each time the thief stealths adds another seconds on their can’t stealth cool-down, which was meant to prevent chain stealthing =P

I haven’t read anything indicating it’s an exploit. It can be done very easily, even if your stealth breaks you can simply reapply it as soon as ur debuff drops and at times people still may not see you. So they should nerf culling =D

Only a WvW player has 2000 hours played but still broke, no map completion or legendary and still sees FOTM as Flavor of the Month.

I don’t know how SOR is in non NA time, but unless they can field a minimum of 2.5 maps worth of people at all times(i mean 24/7), they are going to find every single one of their keeps and towers reset daily in T1. This has nothing to do with skill, but thats how it will be.

Nothing new to us really, so we gotta pull our corner back every day.
Sounds like what we dealt with for two months, we fought with SoS and BG with little to no Oceanics or EU population.

Much like in real life, these decisions show character, but I can’t really look down on people for taking the easy, fun way. Its just human. I bet a bunch of transferees were teamstackers out for ‘teh win lolz pwnt’ cowadooty types but a decent amount are also people just trying their best to hang on to the relationships they feel they have online.

Taking the easy way would be staying in T2 to fight TC. Moving to T1 to go from big dog to underdog is definitely the more fun thing to do.
No one moved to SoR to stomp TC or SBI, they came to test themselves with us in T1 versus the top servers which are not easier and have more coverage.

Maybe so, but was just pointing out that it’s not like it’s going to be the slightest bit easier with Blackgate, mainly in the off peak hours.

I personally have spent little time in wvw this week, and feel the sourness of SBI and TC in the forums in a matchup that was previously fun and had a good energy.

We’ve been there, for a long time even, not saying that to invalidate your feelings but to express crystal clear understanding.

SoR has had a lot of transfers to SoR and there will probably be more coming.
We get it, things are not balanced right now for T2 at all.
At this rate depending on how the score goes we might end up in T1 as early as next reset. In which we will be losing the coverage game, we know this and are ok with it.

We will probably end up with 375k to 450k points by Friday which is gonna be pretty massive rating change, depending on how BG does, you may see them again which we all remember had pretty good coverage. Not sure how many guilds they may have picked up either.

Every single change ArenaNet introduces only caters further and further to the zerg playstyle. They don’t want guilds or smaller groups trying to take on higher numbers, they want massively culled zergs fighting blindly.

What about the change that capped aoe heals and boons to only five people?

I did a couple 20+ hour shifts last week, I need the vacation.

With the recent xfers to SoR and SBI having a mass exodus of wvw guilds this week is going to be pretty lopsided, a lot of 1v1 with TC which was already working overtime to try to match our coverage before the xfers. Definitely a good week to get to know everyone and get reorganized.

Very exciting times here, there are a lot of players on SoR that stayed in the fight even when stuff was not in our favor, yet still kept pushing back. A lot of people got us here to tier 2 and I couldn’t even name them all here but we know who they are. However wanted to throw a shoutout to Indo who has been a great community organizer for us and has been a key player in organizing wvw efforts. Keep it up man.

Yeah this whole thing is kind of crazy atm. We’ve had a very powerful NA push for a long time and have always had the off hours going against us. It’s really cool seeing a lot of new faces showing up to support the off hours, which aren’t going to be easy.

So far I’ve got to talk with a few of the new commanders and am really stoked. If any more oceanics or EU come be sure be sure to join into the community, we will still see each other plenty enough and can work past language barriers easily with a little patience. Welcome to those here or those coming.

The road behind us was rough but the road ahead will be harder.

There were loud cheers on TCBL map chat that TC took SM, some of us went so emotional, looked at the screen and wondered why TC is showing as Team Red while SM looks Green. Then we all realized we just Derped big time :P and yeah many on EB actually thought of walking straight into Lowlands keep thinking it’s theirs.

Had some fun duels in SoR BL at champs tonight.
As for the night capping, our numbers have shot up this week a lot, before you saw your core wvw guilds mostly, and this week a lot of others have been joining the fight, unfortunately their only motivation was map completion… so not sure how long the numbers will last once they all get it.
Best wvw you get is always on the weekend. It’s the closest we get to even coverage.
Right now I don’t feel we destroy the late night, we definitely see large pushes from SBI at times, but once they flub an attack they leave shortly after.
All in all good fights, especially on the weekend. Hopefully we don’t let a couple of babies spoil this thread.

^^ Good point. Without the traditional approach to holding aggro and having healers, maxing DPS in this game means you take alot of aggro if your class is really at the top of the DPS foodchain.

I’m not completely on top of this but from I’ve seen dps does not determine aggro most the time at least.

Probably will have little to nothing to do with the old badges if they even do it.

This is when they get most their points, go to matchups and click on BG and can see the graph showing their peak ppt hours, its like 8 eastern till about noon.

Everything SoR is pretty much flipped.

We have flipped their keep a few times in last couple weeks.
It’s not easy cuz they stack EB pretty hard, and SoR has an excess of PvE only players leaving us with less people overall in WvW. I haven’t seen a q time in EB other than Friday in a month or so, try getting a bunch of other people to push their keep.

Was reading through some of our old threads, and it appears we have like 10 people total between SoR and BG that represent our servers in these forums and over half of them are the “trolls.”
We should be able to moderate our own threads or something =P

Looking at the match-up history.
BG points usually peak between 4am and 11am.
On the weekend SoR gets its best points in since we get the magical insomniac coverage.
The change up in this match has definitely brought a new energy to wvw though that is very welcome. I do wish IoJ the best and hope they enjoy their change up as well.

Stealth is just broke =P
It is not the end all be all of things and is situational but between mesmers and thieves I feel it could use toning down. Give wvw a different set of rules for these things, slightly longer cd to make up for culling and possibly give stealth a chance to break on damage or something. My main is a thief and I’m sick of all the stealth fights.
