every 1 was saying that the price doesnt metter just realese it and we will buy, 50$ just look at the price not the fact that it has core game it, 50$ is the price of the expension, it doesnt take them, anything extra to add the gw2core into the HOT key code no recourses no water no food no metal just few click of buttons, anet are giving us staff for free anyway, LS WVW pvp spec changes
Heart of Thonres is 50$ end of story, and also, there is no RUSH! it will come out in about 4 month (random number tho i think it will be 4ish) im not rich but i can work 2 days for this price…….MONEY COMES AND GOES!

but you have it for lifetime! and so many features, wen was the last time u bought something for 50$ and u had 3 years of enjoyment with it the extra 50$ so they will make another expension XD(im up for that)

well it seems that they just changed a tactic…..and well every 1 needs a tactic

Almost no new commer will buy the 75$ or the 100$ they will go for the 50$

Random Numbers

100 new commers will buy the 50$ version = 5,000$
1000 veterans will buy it as well 50$ = 50,000$
Total of 55,000$

but if gw2 core would still be 50$
and then upgrade to expension is 40$
the 75$ will turn into 80$
and 100$ stays the same

still new commers will buy both core and expension but less in numbers, it will be cheaper for them to go for the 80$ then buy core and then upgrade, some of them will even prefer the 100$ cuz its only 20$ difrance.

lets say all the new folks bought the 80$ pack

60 new commers will buy the 80$ version = 4,800$
3000 veterans will upgrade to the 40$ = 120,000$
Total of 124,800$

you CANT denay the fact that some veterans wont buy the expension and even leave after this and never come back if Anet will keep it as it is, most of the people that followed and will follow already have or tried the game small amounts add every day but its not the same.

2+ year game, veterans will bring more money then new folks
its like membership in a shop, once a week they show me new staff and i buy a thing or 2, other folks dont even like the game.

A simple point people don’t seem to understand is that the core game inclusion isn’t influencing the price in any way… it’s just something they threw in so new players that missed the previous sales aren’t stuck behind a huge paywall. They just got lucky to get the game at a lower price than others(free of charge in this case) the same way people got it for 75% less during the recent sales but nobody raised any pitchforks then even though they should have, according to the logic the complaining follows. The expansion itself costs 50$, you’d be paying that regardless of core game inclusion. Nobody is forcing you to pay extra for something you already have. Think of it as a 100% discount product you don’t have to put in your basket separately.
As for the pricing itself, $40 to $50 is just standard pricing for MMO expansions. And saying there’s not enough content to justify the price isn’t valid because we don’t know how much content there actually is. Which is where the magic of pre-purchasing kicks in… you don’t have to buy it now if you don’t feel you know enough. Pre-purchasing is an optional gesture of faith from the consumers. The game didn’t release yet. Anet isn’t demanding that we pay for the game now and then releasing it in a week or two from now. The game is several months from being ready. In fact, Anet isn’t demanding anything and people are hatemongering for no real reason. The game isn’t going live with just the things that were revealed up until now, and I don’t know why people are acting like it is. There’s still months of reveals ahead of us. Just stop with the pointless, and frankly baseless anger and hatred.

That is what they are telling you and your buying into it. They have people that crunch numbers, that is their job, you can sure as heck bet your butt that they took into account the value of the core game and added it to the price tag. It would be idiotic for them to not do this. It helps them justify the $50 price tag even if they tell you it doesn’t.

Like I have said before, if you buy a meal from McDonalds they may tell you the fries are basically free but in actuality they have taken into consideration the value of each part of that meal, right down to the paper wrap around the straw.

gw2 core is digital, you dont need reacourses for that, just 2 clicks of a button, they dont lose money if they give it away, they just wont gain much

i understand that adding the base game to the deal doesnt cost any resources (iron/woon/coal/water)which is kinda what u need to create a product, everything cant be done online. i guess the idea was that if i buy lets say the standart version i will input HOT into my main account and the 2nd gamecore i will just give away to some 1 els and that some 1 els will buy HOT. will almost be an unending cycle. WHICH IS COOL…..but….

some mordrem homosepian was around me and his legs werent sit as a board.

revenant legendary swap still has a delay – acording to the speed of ele attunment swap
and also its like 0.90 sec delay from press til activation.

from what i understood we geather reasources and building up our camps in day
and at night we fight hoards of enemies…… there were bearly.
the advantures are cute but i hope there is a reason to repeat them.
wen i was using the 4th axe skill on revenant foes some times tp to me and i didnt move.

some UI foe were really unscriped ( i guess ). not moving not fighting, also i heared they should dodge no 1 did.

itzles daggers wen they move, the animation is so wierd, better make it float abit if their moving hips are the problem.

lacking foes across all map was the only real bummer other then that all seems fine.
(p.s. im a huge fan of the revenant but their traits seems horrible to me)

ofc its too early, we all we is base line u dont know they weapons skils or utilities on other legends or other traits or they spec or if anything will change from what we already saw

For about 2 months before the announcement of HOT i bet the selling of GW2 wasn’t rising.
But then after, all those amazing features and story and class, they are giving like half of it for people who already bought the Original GW2 for free, and 99% of them will buy the expension anyway.
outsiders that didnt like gw2 wouldnt be intrested in the expension like we are and wont buy it.
and its the price of both gw2 and hot (good money, but wont attract too much outside attention). and FURTHER its an expension which will cost probebly 20$.

As i see it, they work hard and give us alot with a bearly cost or even free.
i don’t believe that the gem store is behind all it

after the post 1 of the team posted, i still disagree and think the class should be more tyria like, this world if diferent from everything els, chronomancer suits tyria and revenant suits tyria, even the names of the new races

Chronomancer – “Time Bender”
Dragonhunter – “Fights Dragons”
its sounds like a title and to go from a guardian to a dragonhunter is just wierd while we stil stay in the support role

the name sound wierd but the meaning of Arbiter suits the elite spec by a “long shot”

Zealot would fit, other then that sounds sweet

Mesmer, Elementalist, guardian, are all special to gw.

The name Dragon Hunter sounds like something from maple story.
The community fev was Zealot i think that would suit better.

Other then that i think the idea is fantastic, could not think of something better myself

if you change all wells to be ground targeted some people still want to target the wells at their feet with just 1 click, and u can do it if u toggle the ground target on 1 click on the options, but u still need to hover over you charector,

HOW ABOUT THIS

everything skill that was baceline ground target should have a toggle on/off to be on feet or on target just as the 1st skill or any other can be toggle as auto replayable

Due to yesterday’s Livestream i understand that the new borderlands will be realesed at the same time as the expension and every 1 would be able to play it regardless if they bought the expension or not.

What if we could pre-purches HoT 2 months before realese and who ever pre purchesed it would have accses to the Revenant in that moment (if they ask for refund or something like that after they making the Revenant, it should be blocked until full paymnet again).

This is something very cool i think they can do for:
1. Really hyped players
2. Decrease the amount of revenants that will be on new maguma zones
(alot will insta 80)
3. Will help fix bugs with the class in those 2 month window. so they will have more time focusing on the new zone’s bugs on realese day
(i dont mean it as something bad, there are ALWEYS “issues” with new staff)

4:40 is the 1st time we saw that skill.
and i also played it in the Beta (Stress Test) the hammer on the beta looks like the hammer u got in the beta(i changed my hammer skins but the skill wont change its skin) i think the 1st skin in the POI looks alot cooler

i really love the revenant the combos between utilities and between legends them selfs, very cool
1st fighting in a celestial armor felt weaker then i thought,
dono if its lag but there was a delay between changing legends and delay on the healing skills
Rite of the Great Dwarf – the dmg reduction seems not good enough
Taunt – not alweys works
Searing Fissure – casting time seems too long
Banish Enchantment – LOVE THAT SKILL tho i think no cooldown is too strong i would suggest a cool down and add aoe to it
Embrace the Darkness – i would say make it hurt us more but change it to 15%-20% to all stats
overall i love the revenant,
THE MAP some times mobs just disapear and then Y-vren seems abit buggy wen it flys cuz hes model appears for a sec on the platfotm and also with a group of 15 revs and no 1 knows execly what to do we killed it pretty fast and it was easy, i think adding some melee dmg to it would add dificult

1.Virtues to be avalible while using a Tome elite skill
2.Increase Tome of Wrath skills dmg by 35%(that way a crit of 5k zerk in a big aoe would be an effective skill)
