It took me about 2 hours to finish rapids and pain Cliffs with 4 of my friends and we had so much fun finding secrets and puzzling our way through the levels. in our opinion (and im sure in many people’s opinions) it’s just like it should be. challenging and fun.

You should have received an e-mail from them at the e-mail address you told them when you opened your account. Check the spam and junk folders as some e-mail providers have classified ArenaNet mail wrongly as spam.

Otherwise click on support at the top of the page and open a ticket asking them about it directly (via ask a question). Be polite.

I read all of the stuff the login sais to read again, this is so vague.

If I don’t know why I got banned, or what got me banned, how will I not repeat it again right after I was banned? Am I gonna get an e-mail later on that will explain in detail which rules I broke and why I got banned?

Because I read all of it, and the rules are so vague, and I did not break any of them. Yet I’m banned, so someone must not have liked something I said.

How can I not repeat the same mistake if I don’t even know what the mistake was?

It would be nice to know what, why, when, where this ban happened?

And if it’s just a tired GM, that gets irritated or aggressive or overly angry or whatever, that’s no biggie either. Not like I’m gonna sue you guys.

If it was a mistake or a tired GM clicked the wrong person, that person being me, just unban me, no biggie, but if the dude got the right person, then it would be polite of you guys to tell me why.

User Agreement – did not break any of the agreements
Naming Policy – had the same name since Aug 28th 2012, so that can’t be it
Conduct Breaches and Outcomes – Read this, good info but I didn’t do any of those things

So what exactly happened, that I got disconnected, no explanation, then I try to login and I’m suspended for 72 hours?

Was it a miss click ? Is it possible that the GM clicked the wrong name ?

All I wanna know is why and what, altough I complied with all the rules and everything, I just read them I didn’t break any of them. I was chilling in the invasion map and got dc’d. Is it maybe like from something I did or typed last week? Cuz I remember a heated argument I had last week, was it that? Why a week late then tho?

I know a guy with 13.000 gold, 35.000 gems and 8 accounts.

Dusk price was 600g last I checked, now it jumped 300g.

People who got tons of money at the begining of GW2 because they rushed through the content, often buy 20 or 30 of the each item, or buy it out completly where there’s not many left, then spike the price.

I know many people that do this. They were rich and they are getting richer ever day.

You buy something out when there’s not many left, then you tripe or quadroople the price. And since you bought all the supply, well. Good business.

We’ve seen it happen with Jack-A-Lop. It went from 80g to 160g in 1 day.

The faces of humans and norn women all appear like a really beautiful Barbie dolls. The human males look like ken dolls. Something about this feels very “plastic” and "fake "whenever I see these extremely beautiful faces everywhere. For future models, please introduce average looking faces. They don’t need to be comically ugly, just not so perfect looking.

As for body types, it’s understandable of the need to be fit since we are out fighting monsters. Perhaps certain secondary sexual characteristics could be toned down for certain models.

This is why I enjoy asura and char males because they’re not your run-of-the-mill super good-looking heroes. Some of them are downright ugly. But that’s what makes them so cool, it adds a certain sense of realism and back story. “Like everybody’s story, it’s written on the skin.”

I hate being downed. It doesn’t matter where I get downed… I hate it. I understand it gives that “fighting chance” but like everything else it gets abused if it can’t help it. Most of all its freaking annoying especially when you downrallydownrallydownrallydead.

So instead of going through this really unpolished process of getting killed, how about we have the option to just kill ourselves? It would be a great addition to downing because you can stop the annoyance of a slow death while denying your assailant the satisfaction of benefiting off of your defeat! No zerg rallies, no lootbags, no xp. Just sweet peace and the joy of knowing that your enemy didn’t get a kitten thing for their effort.

But for the sake of realism, lets give it a 1-2 second charge so your enemy at least has some time before they are robbed of their loot/kill.

I love Guild Wars 2 , I love every living story , I feel like I am par of it and story is happening in front of my eyes. I loved Scarlet and the event and couldn’t wait for next week. I was so exited what will happen again , what threat we will see, what will she do again.

But today I see the new update and it felt like a slap to face Sopranos ending. I understand it hasn’t ended yet and it will probably continue. And I will enjoy SAB of course but… I just can’t help but feel , let down, it is another semi Festival event, nothing major happening as far as we know. I really hope something else will happen.

Thank you Anet for the great work and amazingly paced content with this B2P game. I love the game but would like to see more seriousness to the world and the lore.

The Sopranos ending was great. It lets the viewer make up his own ending.

If you ask me, Tony and his whole family got gunned down by that shady guy you saw go to the toilet. There’s an Israeli made Uzi in the toilet cistern. The guy takes it out, locks n’ loads, aims for Tony and shoots him and his entire fam, dead. – OR – He aims for Tony, but shoots his whole fam dead, Tony survives, then gets locked up for life. Or he survives, his fam dead, he kills himself.

Either way, there’s so many good endings the viewer can come up by himself, and that’s what the writers of the Sopranos had in mind for the ending of the series.

Anyone who’s actually “concerned for the economy” isn’t seeing straight.

Back in GW1 you could log on for a week during an event like halloween, then raptor/vaettir farm trick or treat bags 5 hours per day and make a good 500 platinum over the course of that week.

500 platinum is about 10x as much as you would make “playing normally” for a few weeks. So this is comparable to the amount of money people are making on the extremely high end with the queens jubilee event.

Now look at the GW1 economy, does it look ruined to you? It’s been running healthy for years without any serious developer intervention. And when developers did intervene it was after MONTHS, sometimes YEARS of people farming using those methods already.

So look at how much damage was done by farming to the GW1 economy before you decide the GW2 economy is being damaged.

750 armbraces for the island guardian miniature is a ruined economy imo….

Got mine earlier today. Am inclined to second the opinion that some arenas are broken. Also finished mine in the asura arena due to the “easier” spawns of the swirly lights, but had 9 on Liadri in the norn arena and failed to get achievement despite killing her with ~10 seconds left on the timer.

I think the aetherblade achievements on the sky pirates LS were semi-hard, and the ’’don’t get downed’’ chievement in scarlet’s playhouse is semi hard, and killing Scarlet in third mode of her playhouse is not too hard and not to easy, it’s perfect

I’m not even colorblind. The problem is threefold:

1. They semi-recently changed what used to be solid red circles with this new smokey/wavy animation. While that’s fine on solid surfaces it does not work for…

2. The grated floors of the domes. It breaks up the consistency of the circles too much. Paired with #1 that makes it a problem.

3. You can’t zoom out/angle the camera inside the dome well enough to see any kind of pattern. That’s why I said I had to get lucky finding safe spots because visually I had a very difficult time telling where they were.

If you look at any of the numerous threads about this many non-colorblind people complained of the same things. Regardless, I agree, there should be a colorblind mode, but I’m pointing out the issue affects those of us who can see color as well.

i’m not color blind either and i can barely see the circles, if ‘’colorblind mode’’ would make the circles thick and fat and non transparent, i would turn it on immediately

Isn’t it a good idea to give players at least a week between the Living Story Updates to properly PLAY THE ACTUAL game? Such as completing other achievments, leveling up their characters without stress and whatnot.

I can’t do other stuff anymore in the game becuase I get too stressed out completing the LS achievments on my precious spare time that I have to actually enjoy the game, rather than being a chore.

Liadri is created to be hard. It will not be nerfed. If they ever create casual mode (which I doubt they will) – no minipet or other “special” reward.
Liadri is not RNG boss, on both phases AoE follows a pattern and you simple have to learn it, and Rifts can be pretty easily dealt with. And while the camera is the real problem in a small dome, it doesn’t make the encounter unbeatable – proved by lots of succeeded people.
- If you don’t have the time to try hard – don’t try. Why not simply give everyone a legendary, if not everyone can spend much time to acquire it?
- If you have some physical problems – don’t try. This is game, no point in pushing you towards something nasty.
- But it gives 20 points! – pff, I didn’t play GW1 and I miss 500 AP and skins and pets etc., so what?

making it hard is one thing, but stupid and poorly designed(spawning dead, repair costs, ticket costs money, bugs, glitchs, camera view) is a whole thing all together

Have you read any guides in how to deal with her fight phases? You can also turn off Post Processing to remove the ‘blind’ effect she randomly chucks at you. The aoe circles that 1 shot you follow a fixed pattern everytime you fight her. Knowing what you’re getting into is half the battle. Understanding how the red circles pattern work will give you less trouble than you would’ve had. Oh and the cosmic rifts spawn at the same places too during phase 1 :p

I thoroughly researched the encounter before setting foot in there. None of that changes getting screwed over by an orb in P2 pulling you underneath a Shadowfall even if you’ve played flawlessly until then.

I had no issues with the blind, but the Shadowfall patterns in P2 mean absolutely nothing if you have difficulty seeing the red circles as I did. It’s a frequently complained about issue for a reason.

The Liadri fight itself is well designed and challenging.
The problem with her is the circles and that you can’t see them on the floor. If the surface of the cage was a better colour so people who’s colour vision isnt perfect (like me) then it be a bit fairer…

(I didnt even know there were circles on the floor until I did it over the pirates area where I can just see a faint line.)
I still havent completed it after about 50 tries because of this and only this.

well i’m not color blind and i stopped trying after around 35 or 40 tries i think, it’s just stupid and poorly designed

Once the four zones are complete. I hope Anet takes my idea for a full SAB like zone. That would be darker, gothic, scary, and gloomy. It would have puzzles for solo/group play and DE’s. The map would be like the whole Legend of Zelda. But a open zone like any other, upto say 50 or 75 players. It would still have many puzzles to solve. With themes from Zelda, kings field 1/2, Doom.

The Zone should be a 16 bit version of the Realm of Torment.

Everyone hates Liadri and hated Liadri. It was stupid and not fun because it was so pontless to make it as hard as they did.

They should’ve made an easy mode for those that just want the cheivs done and get the F out and a hard mode for all the people who ‘’like a challenge’’ .

The problem I have with Liadri is that I’m color-blind, have severe anxiety and I’m a bit of a claustrophobic (And yes it’s possible to have a panic attack due to claustrophobia in a game.) Laugh at it all you want and call it a joke; but it’s real.

All the other bosses in Gauntlets, save for the Four pirates and Dead-Eye, were a breeze for me but I still had that slight fear of not being able to zoom my camera out all the way like I usually do. However Liadri is the bane of my disorders.

The fact that she’s broken up into two phases, in a tight little bubble, where I can’t even see the AoE circles just sets me off into a panic attack.

Then lets bring on the stress factor of having wasted over 50 gold to level my mesmer, gear it to the tooth thinking “Dulfy’s guide makes it look like a breeze. I’ll do this on a mesmer.” When technically it is NOT a breeze.

Things you could do to FIX this fight are listed below.

Phase 1 + 2:
Only a Maximum of two Visions of Mortality spawn at a time.
Lift the bubble some so we can zoom out to the max.
Get rid of the Hourglass AoE during Phase 2, instead return it back to like Phase 1.
Make the AoE circles more defined. That grate floor is killing most of us Colorblind people.

A reason I joined GW2, leaving World of Warcraft behind was because of it’s stress free environment where I wasn’t always pressured into getting a rare item, pet, or mount, and it’s challenging, yet easily obtainable achievement system.
Liadri is not challenging.. she’s stressful, depressing, and annoying.

Right now.. I’m planning to leave GW2 for some time to go play Final Fantasy XIV; because from what I’ve played so far of their beta and soon to play in their Early access; It’s more stress-free that GW2 is turning into. :\

I’m at 1/13 due to disconnects.

That’s why you join a party, so that if you get disconnected, when you reconnect you can right click on one of their names and click ‘’join in overflow’’ or wherever you were before. It’s the only way to get back in after a disconnect and get credit

Oh, and when you see someones name in map chat, you should be able to right click their name and invite to party or join party instead of having to type it manually in the upper left corner, and then click invite only to figure out they’re in a party and then click join to figure out the party is full…
