but when i put my cursor on the achievement, it sais ’’50’’ as if I got 50 achievement points from it, which I did not.

what does this mean ? does it mean i got 50 pts that i shouldn’t have, or does it mean I DID NOT get 50 pts i SHOULD have.

I noticed a familiar thing with Frequent Sprinet, but there it sais pts this tier 5, and that i got 25 pts from it when i repeated it 5 times

The last thing I bought from the gem store was a character slot in 2012, when 20silver was 100 gems. But…..the three quaggan minis made me spend 17gold on them.

I’ve already accepted the fact that I will get my first legendary in 2019.

Apparently(according to German patch notes – they seemed to be out faster this time) the Norn got nerfed… and they removed the food buff exploit. Can someone try again without food and tell how he is now? I might try again without food later or in the next days.

it doesnt work because all food buffs are removed when u start playing the belch activity -_-

First of all let me say Bazaar of the four winds is a beautiful fantasy setting, my god when I first turned up and made my way to the top it was amazing. The floating ship was so beautifully put together, even the sounds of grinding wood and wind really made it feel like you were so high up. Such nice work on the visuals and setting, now the bad part…

The story is so weak. WEAK! southsun was boring, dealing with disgruntled employee’s contracts. Contracts?! really sounds like a typical day at work.

Aetherblade was great, starts of with a beautiful cutscene, sneaky pirates trying to disrupt the dragon bash, then you take the fight to them in a stunning dungeon (that area where the waves are crashing against the shore, heavy rain was so nice)

Now bazaar is here and OMG the first cutscene I get is about an election then talk to her further and its a trade agreement. This is a fantasy setting and I dealing with elections and trade agreements. FFS! stop it! from employment disputes to elections to trade agreements. This is how the star wars movies turned out first three were about adventure, the next three turned into a mess of trade agreements, elections (votes of no confidence) and the backlash from fans was severe.

TLDR… Stick to fantasy adventure, mystery, revenge, fighting against insurmountable odds, interesting villains, murder, romance, rescue missions… things that evoke emotions. Trade agreements and employment contracts do not.

I got Eye of the North for the purpose of getting Hall of Monuments points, but I seriously don’t enjoy GW1 and have been unable to push myself to play it and get those achievements. As such I think anyone who played GW1 enough to get all the points deserve all the recognition they can get, and when all together it’s really just giving them one more day to wait before they get all their chests, it’s not that big of a problem.

awww you missed the golden years man, I started playing gw1 about a year and half before gw2 was released and maaaan, it was AWESOME!! i totally loved every moment of it, i still go back to play sometimes

I’m pretty sure the buggy/laggy mechanics are preventing those who are not local to the servers from doing well in this race.

Is it fair they get a handicap and never able to obtain the one time only achievement just because you’re “competing” for a reward you already have? Preventing any one else from getting it once you have it is simply being mean. There is no reason to come first after you got it the first time.

I’m not competing for a reward, I’m competing for fun. This is a game, and I would like it to be played fairly so I can have fun. I actually like the race, but when people cheat like this it really hurts us all.

The only one it seems to hurt is you. Tell me what is the difference between reaching the end first and crossing the finish line and reaching the end first and waiting. There is no difference except an ego one. So is that all it is? You needing an ego boost to have your name on top?

I’ve finished first by actually winning, but I had to switch to cable over wifi to do so. The game has to many lag issues and bad skill behaviour to make it a fair race to begin with. I’ve even gone over the side a few times only to fall on air meaning I had to jump myself further down manually.

The reason I want to play fairly and work to win is because of the same reason I like to win a games like Mario Kart, because it’s fun!

Since when is it more important for people to get an achievement than to have fun and play fairly?

Since when is it more important for others to know you won over knowing you won yourself but letting others have the “top” spot. I don’t need someone elses approval to know I’m good.

I’m just glad people don’t have that kind of sad mentality in regular PvP matches.

dude u shudve seen us in southshun crab toss, i had this group where ALL of us took turns getting all the achievements like the one where others gotta get rolled over and u dont, all of us took turns and we all got it, i got like all of the hard competitive achievements in like 30 mins, it was totally awesome

Curios if you run Sanctum Sprinter as a naked Charr? Because if so. I’m probably the one who called you out in game. You’re simply being mean for no reason. There is nothing competitive about this mini-game. It’s mostly luck based and connection based. You’re just trying to block others from getting a one time achievement for your amusement.

It’s more fun to compete knowing everyone already got their first. I don’t like to stress over an achievement like this and I don’t want to be the cause of someone elses anxiety for it. Even if the rewards were better for higher place, I’d feel better about it knowing everyone got their achieve already.

Something needs to be done about all the match fixing that is going on in the new mini game race.

People are running to the end, and then waiting for people to get there so they can get 1st for their achievement.

It’s making it pointless for people who actually enjoy the game to try and compete. Plus I’m tired of getting called mean for not letting others win when I come in fist a few times in a row.

This is CHEATING!

I do that. I get first to the finish line, then I sit in front of it and let other people win so they get their achievement.

Someone helped me the same way, so I help others by paying it forward.

Anyone who played GW1, and filled out their HoM knows that those 500 points are WELL DESERVED.

In the last month many ppl complain about the lag issues, and until now we dont have any response or solution.
Now ANET inclued a very hard achivements in the new dungeon (i dont have problems with that i love the new dung). Is near to impossible to get this ach with this kind of lag. And worse, this new content is temporary, so please ANET solve the lag issues really fast of give us more time to complete this ach. Take a break for a month, we dont need more content, extend this content until july 30.

I’ve got my achievement yesterday evening. I was the one who “tanked” Mai (or rather attempted to keep Mai in the blue circle), thus enjoying the full AOE power of Horrick during that time (the ground combat phase).

During the cannon phases, we split the group as follows:
1 person north
1 person south
1 person east
1 person west
1 person center

This way, we just had to move left/right or forward/back and ocasionally dodge when too many circles. It was relaxing and easy. Note that one issue can appear – even if you do avoid all the circles, there is a chance that the projectile hits you before it hits the circle…so you need to either have an Asura (kinda little to get hit) or be careful to not stand in the path of the projectile (aka know where the projectiles come from).

We had a person take a hit mid-air and lost the achievement due to that.

As for the difficulty, it’s not too hard, just badly explained. Even average players can get it. And if it’s too hard to actually dodge and properly position, then sorry, but not all achievements have to be completed by every single being – that’s why they are achievements.

Yep, did it twice. Both on the first try, wasn’t hit by any kind of aoe during the barrage phase, still no achievement. First time was “legitimate” with running around and evading everything, second time was permastealth.
When will anet fix this buggy piece of crap?

Ps: any information on whether relogging before the first barrage and entering before Mai Trin dies still works? I’d hate doing it this way but on the other hand,
i’m just claiming what i rightfully earned.

if you step on it after it lands and it burns/electrifies you, it counts as a hit and u dont get ach

Unfriendly skies are ultraeasy. Just get some heal guardian, step into the AoE and fight Mai Trin there. Her stacks will be insta 0.

The new dungeon is great. The normal mobs are numerous and sometimes need some CCing or prio targetting to get down without causing ppl to get downed. The boss with the lasers is pretty fun.

Last boss could be fun if we had more thing we could actualy use to control her and guide her into the electric shots. And make it shorter, takes forever.

Overall I like this dungeon , but I haven’t beaten it yet.

Tried 5 times alrdy and result is the same , being forced to quit because everyone just freaking leaves.

I got a lot of tries on my first time there and felt like I could get there, but then ppl had to go, which is fine after having like 7 tries on it.

But after that it is constantly the same , 1 or 2 wipes and like 2-3 ppl just leave. Pretty much wasting other ppl their time.

This happens in other dungeons aswell. And should be punished by a small debuff, that makes it unable to join for a small period of time. Ow it gets a bit hard , lets leave and keep trying to get into a group that facerolls it.

Seriously why dont ppl try harder.

Another thing that could help vs ppl leaving is making some kind of LFG chat channel that is accesible even in dungeons, so you can spam LFM without having to leave the dung :p

Yesterday, the guy who entered left at phase 4 of last boss. We were doing great.

Then the next group the guy who entered ragequit at last bosses.

Then for the third time the guy who entered went afk then got disconnected and everyone left.

That was all in a row lol.

OP don’t complain when its your own fault. Play the game correctly and it will work, the reason its not working is because one or more of your party alted/reset to get the cannon miss achievement or another reason and the timer reset to their time when they reentered the arena/last boss.
So although you took longer then X time the game says you 15min-X time left.

I’m not even sure if 9minutes left is possible on the original 15min timer, seeing as the 3 cannon phases take near 4mins and losing her stacks then blasting her with full dps range grps takes at least a few mins more. And Id take a guess and say your warriors are shout build not full zerker, and the grdns ranged dps isnt gona be mind blowing. So…. Ye.

Here’s the thing. If it’s hard, I get tired and bored of it and I stop doing it.

If it’s easy, It’s fun to me and i can repeatedly do it for hours, days, months(like cofp1 farm).

I guess we’re just 2 different people, and i believe there’s just as much people in my camp as there is in yours. Problem is that the content currently in the game caters a whole lot to the people that like things easy, i think they should try to balance that out more. This dungeon is a step in that direction.

The best solution would of course be a global difficulty setting, I’ve suggested implementing it as an extra-downscaling slider since downscaling is already in the game (hence should be fairly easy to implement). If people must have extra rewards for extra difficulty (I’m personally seeing the challenge as a reward in itself, but i know some people aren’t satisfied with that), then i guess a category of achievements with some titles would be ok. As long as it’s not rewarded with gear or aesthetics because then people will feel forced to do it.

A difficulty setting has been in games since the very beginning of gaming, and it has almost never granted any additional rewards, i don’t understand why MMOs frown upon the idea so much.

Aetherblades retreat is turning into absolute garbage. Everyone wants Faster than Light, and Personal Space. People who get them don’t wanna do the dungeon anymore ’cause everyone else wants it. EVERY…SINGLE…TIME we get to Frizz everyone waits on the freaking box as if once someone talks to Frizz the golems gonna jump out and pull them into FAILURE!

Morale for this dungeon is non existent. I love the dungeon, but it’s starting to wear on me. We got people logging out at the last boss at the cannon barrage, and logging back in to get the Personal Space achievement.

Rumors are circulating like the plague. “No, no, no you just have to dodge horrik’s aoe, and not worry about when he’s on the cannon.”, “No you have to dodge the lightning cannon fire.”, “No that’s not it you have to dodge everything!”, “Oh it works like Horrik’s trick; you just 4 man Frizz. Yea, all you have to do is once your teleported in and you talk to Frizz one person logs out, and logs in, and waits at the start and they get the achievement.”

Even if people aren’t trying to exploit the system we got people on a merry go round at Frizz just running in circles, and not attacking. If they are attacking they aren’t doing anything, because they’re speced to survive. We also have people dodging, Horrik’s aoe, and leading the captain away from it. I’m guilty of it, I’m not the only one, and it’s ruining dungeon runs.

This dungeon is bunk. If Anets not gonna make it easier, than they should just GET RID OF THESE ACHIEVEMENTS. This is just my opinion of course, but I like to think it’s a very good one. Of course we’re gonna get the people who are gonna say “So it’s not needed to get the Meta Event.” Well people don’t care about the Meta Event alone, because as long as there is a bar under achievements to fill people are going to try to fill it.

Oh I remember you, you’re the guy with the 8,5k achievements points who entered the dungeon then left at phase 4 and we all got kicked out. I got my personal space the next run, so no harm done.

Is this bugged on all servers? On SoR it’s stuck with only the first pattern showing and one torch lit. Tried to do the second pattern from a youtube video but it didn’t light the next torch or change the display.
