The last boss on this dungeon is so incredibly hard for me to do. It is impossible, literally impossible, for me to see the circles when they shoot the cannons. I know I can see where they shot after it hits because of the animation on the ground, but it’s before it hits which is the problem. I know people will say, “Oh if they shoot near you they will shoot on top of you next,” well to say, that is false. They don’t always shoot at you after shooting next to you.

Usually at this part I try to move around and dodge these attacks which are literally impossible for me to dodge and I die, every…. time! It’s annoying the hell out of me because I never survive these parts at all and I have tried watching the shots, it doesn’t work that well. My friends say that it’s hard for them to see, but it’s not impossible for them to see.

This is just ridiculous that this game, after so long, is still not helping the colorblind community. A skill based game should help with those who are colorblind and not just ignore the colorblind players.

dude, I’m not even colorblind and I still get hit every time.

my advice, find a group that’s gonna run in circles, together, stacked, that was you can just follow them

if people run around like headless chickes u get hit by fire meant for them and vice versa

teamwork dude, find a team that’s gonna stack and run around together, i’veh ad a few of those the community will help even if arena doesn’t

I’ve gotten all but Unfriendly Skies with pugs, in fact I can solo most of Faster Than Light (aka Frizz) and I rarely down in Personal Space, but it still happens.

i got faster than light, which was pretty ermahgawd because I know for a fact I got hit by the laser once or twice and I still got it.

i don’t think i’ll be able to get the last two but i’ll try it with that stew until the dungeon get’s taken out..

This is not a QQ about difficulty, I do the dungeon a several times an evening and we never have a bother with it, from the moment you walk in till the last boss its fun and rather fast/easy. This is a complaint about the daftly dull/bland last boss.

Its not hard its just boring. 15mins for one fight where its the exact same mechanics is such a lazy design, neither of the bosses change tactics or gain new mechanics, the 1st minute and the last minute of the fight are literally the exact same.
The only thing that changes is the cannon phases get longer not even harder, and my god the 100seconds 3rd cannon phase lol, what the hell is that, we get it he has cannons, it drags on for so long I nearly feel like logging off the game :P

Molten facility was a great dungeon and I was hoping for more of it, Up till the last boss id say this is on par. Why couldn’t we have gotten 3 bosses, another boss with lasers or more trash with laser parts and shorten the last boss by 10mins. It kinda reeks of ‘oh crap’ we ran outa time/funds we had set aside for this dungeon and its a bit short and easy, I know lets copy-paste the last boss for an extra 10mins.

Very big missed opportunity, When MF vanished after two weeks I missed it greatly, I wont miss this is dungeon in the least, its not that it is bad its a new fresh and fun dungeon, but that last boss is one of the most boring/pointless fights Ive played in an mmo.

Just wanted to express my gratitude for this new direction towards living story content that is actually HARD.

I just finished the new dungeon today, ran it with pug groups and it took like 10-15 tries across 3-4 groups. Funny thing is, I’m enjoying failing in this dungeon more then i enjoy completing most other dungeons. Why? Because every failure makes me learn something new about my class, my tactics or the mechanics of the game. It brings in a form of progression i guess, a good kind of progression, a progression of skill. If i could steamroll this (like most other content) it just feels like a hollow waste of time.

Bottomline: if it aint hard, there’s no incentive to improve and no reason to. And that is what makes things boring.

Btw, here’s a couple of tips for other Mesmers running AR:

- Golem boss beams and walls can be passed through with blink, portal and shatter invuln. You can also be the teams savior by ressing people through the beam since you can invuln yourself during the res cast. Or portal the team to the same side of the wall so the golems wont run back and forth (portal entre, blink, portal exeunt).

- You can block the final boss teleport shot by dodging directly away from her if you have the clone on dodge trait. This way she’ll waste her big attack on the clone.

Here’s the thing. If it’s hard, I get tired and bored of it and I stop doing it.

If it’s easy, It’s fun to me and i can repeatedly do it for hours, days, months(like cofp1 farm).

It’s so ’’challenging’’ it’s not fun at all.

Update downloaded, i logged in, i clicked play, game opened(i play windowed mode) and there was rainbows everywhere it crashed, i sent the report, tried to re-open, it opened it crashed again instantly except this time without rainbows, now, the launcher stays at 0/0 kb and doesn’t connect, have to close it through task manager, other games work smooth as butter as usual…

how do i fix this gw2 problem ?

every 5-10 mins…i get disconnected, i’m in brisban right now but it’s been happening for the last hour..and it’s not allways a complete disconnected, 7/8 times I don’t have to restart the client i can just click on my toon and play

I just noticed, that my ‘’ master carver’’ title has been reduced from finished, to 0/1 under special events, now when I click titles on the left, I have the master carver title, and I can also display it, because i finished ALL special event achievements on halloween and wintersday, but, for some reasom I can display my master carver title yet i has 0/1 instead of completed…must be a glitch with the new update

I dont like the monthly, sais need 3 tournament winds, I’ve spent 7 tickets and all 7 games were lost… Then a teammate ran out of tickets so we stopped… I got all other monthly done but the 3 tournament wins are at 0/3….this sux to be honest

Disconnects have been a problem with fractals, but it has been officially announced that the re-joining issue (as in, making it possible) will be fixed in this month’s patch. Don’t worry about it, you have maybe a week to go.

oooh dude, thanks for the info that is awesome! finally, about time, I was in a group right now and we did 3 fotm’s, and then we went in again, and after we finished the first one on difficulty 14 one of the members got disconnected, so we restarted cuz he couldnt join, after that we did two fotm’s finished both, and in the begining of the third right after i looted the chest i got disconnected, and the remaining 4 tried to finish without me but they couldn’t 4man it :’<

the dye is abyss and silver, but due to the lightning it looks the same, if i put everything on low setting tho, it trully becomes very dark and the fire very bright

It really depends on your preference. Some people feel more comfortable focusing on one Character, some like a number of alts.

Personally I’m very OCD and like everything to be perfectly neat and tidy, so I never like having alts in games as I like one perfect character instead of having to get more than one perfect character. When I say I’m OCD I mean I’m OCD :P I don’t even like my level being a non even number…

wow that, that really is ocd, there’s many things tho that you can do to cure your ocd, i used to have ocd too and now i got ZERO dude, zero ocd, i was the same way :p but then one day i realized that some day i will die, that the universe is chaos and chaos is order and that i have no control, so i let go and all my ocd problems went away in a few weeks after i developed that proper healthy mentality

I have 8 characters, all different professions. I have also at least one character of each race. I have tried to select different personal story paths for my 8 different characters. I find several advantages in this approach:

1. Less chance for boredom. The skill system of this game is quite simple and using the same 2-3 weapon combinations with the same character gets boring. With many different characters you get to experience all the 3 different orders (Durmond Priory, Vigil and Whispers) and get to know more about the lore of the game. Some races, especially the Arura, have really great introduction missions (1-30 level missions).
2. Chance to learn how each profession works. This is especially useful in WvWvW or pvp, because you know the weaknesses and strong points, skills of each profession.
3. If you play just one character you often get random drops or map completion rewards, which your character is unable to use. With 8 different professions you can use any item in the game to their max potential.
4. I also have 8 different crafting talents. I can craft items for my other characters. E.g. one of my characters has 400 in cooking and she is able to cook delicious (and highly useful) foods for all my characters.

It is true that the high level pve give better drop than the low level areas, but if you are just into farming you can make decent money also farming some low to middle level areas. A lot of people need the basic materials (copper, iron, wood, vial of blood, venom sacs) for crafting. Anycase I am not into farming and none of my character is rich, so I am not expert on this topic.

8 characters, all different profession, each a different race so i can go through all the game and race content, and i level all the professions, some have 2 others have one because i never level the same profession again we play the same way

well i kinda did all the puzzles and all the funstuff, map completion etc, so kinda, the only thing thats left now is pvp and daily stuff….

it’s fun because once ur 80 you can play really casually theres not much left to do than pvp on a daily bassis and get abit of money here and there

EDIT: oh and i forgot the regular dragon events every 3 hours, u get a chance to a precursor for legendary, those are kinda nice, repetitious, but nice

go to options and theres an option there where it sais ‘’local time’’ and ‘’server time’’ and then you click on server time and it will show it on the minimap in left lower corner of the minimap

Sometimes, you will need to use multiple shades of a color to have a “match” between two different armor pieces. I have to use three or four different purples to get my Elementalist’s armor mix to make it look like it’s all the same color. Unfortunately, that’s much more difficult when you’re going for the true black. There are two things you can try:

1) In your dye menu, sort your colors by material. Look at the armor piece and try to determine which material each dye slot is for, and then use the darkest black you have for that material. It may help with matching the colors.

2) Try using an accent color on your armor, even if it’s just a slightly lighter grey. I know it’s not what you’re going for, but using an accent color will draw your eye away from the slight color differences among your armor pieces if you can’t get them to match precisely.

3) I’m not sure where the red accents on the pants are coming from, but you could always play to your armor’s quirks and try using Midnight Fire Dye, which might camouflage the issue.

The grunge black effect on your current armor set doesn’t look bad at all.

Actually, Nightmare is kind of a special case. Most Sylvari-based armors have a gradient of colors. A ton of greens show up as green tinged with brown or red, and vice-versa. It’s supposed to look organic and plant-like. If you want spiky and metal and intimidating, use something else.

But yeah, for the most part, different armor sets just dye darker and lighter than others. Either use a full set or use black instead of abyss on some pices to get a uniform color.

yea i’ve noticed if make the spikes on nightmare pink, and my shoulders pink, the spikes look like a COMPLETLY different color, totally brighter and more alive, while the shoulders look like a totally different color even tho both are the same color

If you keep selecting preview it will apply the dye to the different dye channels of your armor.

yes i have but it only previes a part of selected armor, for example, regardless where i drag it in, it does not preview the whole boot as abyss, only 1 out of the 3 panels of the boot, it works with the shoulders tho, because the shoulder only have 1 single color panel

You can only receive the FotM daily reward chest once per day per account per difficulty Tier.

So if I have 3 characters, and I run FotM level 10 on each of them, I’ll get 1 Daily chest.

However, if I run FotM level 2 on one of them, FotM 10 and 22 on my 2nd, I would receive 3 daily chests (as the dailies for 1-9, 10-19, and 20-29 are all separate.)

Keep in mind the daily chests for 1-9 will not hold Pristine relics or Ascended rings.

Is the daily FOTM reward account wide, or per character? I presue it’s per character, because your FOTM level of difficulty does not transfer to other characters, so the daily fotm reward is also not account wide, only for character, so If I have 3 lvl 80’s, I can get 3 FOTM daily rewards, right? because each of them has its own difficulty, so each of them also have their own separate daily fotm reward? right? theyre not bound together since the difficulty level isnt bound together?

and heres how silver dye looks, when I had silver on my whole armor was silver as it shud be, but the nightmare boots were ALLWAYS white GRAY and standing out instead of silver and melting with the rest of the armor

I also changed settings to maximum to see if it looks different on best appeareance gfx settings

Bought abyss dye. Appearently, even if you dye your whole armor abyss, there are parts that become dark red / gray. Even tho they shouldn’t become dark red or gray.

I’ve also noticed Legguards of the noble get theese weird red lines on some places of the armor.

Look at the screenshots, the upper body and head is as it should be. The legguards of the noble and nightmare boots are not -_-

i try to re-enter fotm after a disconnect and i dont get into the same dungeon instance -.-

l posted about this on game bugs and told arena to adress it but they didnt give a [insert the word we all know but aren’t allowed to type here] . So my question went unanswered and I’m not allowed to bump it, cuz last time i bumped it the moderator sent me a pm and told me i cant bump it but noone answered and it only has 17 views

anyway, guys, can anyone tell me about this? is there a way to get into the same dungeon instance as my party if i get disconnected in fotm? is this a glitch? is it supposed to be that way? fotm takes too long for me to not get disconnected…

is this a bug? will it be fixed / patched / updated / changed if its not? I mean…it’s the only thing i don’t like about fotm….

also, the higher lvl i go, the longer fotm’s seems to be, hence im gonna get to a number where it’s gonna take so long i will definetly get disconnected every time and not be able to go to the next level -._.-

you can use ascalon armor that u get with tokens and transmute the skins if u dont like em

got disconnected out of fotm, and when i want back in i was in another instance of fotm instead of the one with the other 4 players in my party, happened before too

i also tried right clicking their portraits but theres no function to join them inside fotm from LA, and when i went back in, STILL In THE PARTY might i say, i was in my own solo dungeon of fotm instead of in the same as them…

if you go to guildwars2 wikipedia, and search tears of itlacol, theres a link to a video, and also descriptions to how you can complete this puzzle despite the fact u cant see the left eye pattern….or you can just youtube it and copy placements, they’re allways the same

okay so i just did it, and i got the achievement after me and 3 others finished the last boss in the mini dungeon, its quite a fun mini dungeon, last time i was at the door tho i couldnt click the door it wasnt interactable thats why i thought it couldn’t be done

Oooohh okay, thank you, must’ve been bugged because there was no note there, and yea i wanted the achievement, i’ve read the gw2 wikipedia page but i didnt find the answer whether it can still be done or not because it was bugged i didnt know, ill try again hope it wont be bugged this time

can this still be done / achieved? i read it was introduced at halloween, but was it taken out? because i went to the door and i couldnt click it, and i went to the npc thats supposed to open it and he told me to leave him alone, read the 3 books he sais not to touch em, so….

I tried to do it few mins ago, and the door does not talk to me, and when I go to Gerrvid he just sais to leave him alone? Reading his books doesnt do anything either… Has this been patched and is this achievement now closed, it can’t be done anymore? I didn’t do it on halloween because I didnt even know it was implemented, I want to do It now, is this a glitch or is it ‘’not working’’ the way its supposed to work?

30 toughness, 30 vitality, 10 power, have 3 shouts equipped use those to heal, use a hammer to kd this helps your teammates, all you gear and weapons should be power, toughness and vitality and nothing else

i’m trying to do skipping stones jumpuzzle and under new management jumpuzzle and i cant find the entrance to it, i just dont know how to get there to do theese 2 jumpuzzles and i havent found a guide how to get there nor does it say on gw2 wikipedia where the entrance to sea of sorrows is where theese two jumpuzzles are located
