Is guardian good for open world content?

in Guardian

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

As Necromancer i just never die in open world, as Guardian i die a lot: one mistake and i am downed, while as Necro i can make plenty of them. Warrior is much safer option if you want to play a heavy armored profession.
So if you are a lazy player as i am, than stay away from Guardian and Elementalist for open world:)

Q about soulbound gear and deleted chars

in Players Helping Players

Sifu.9745

I don’t know how to ask this … Lets say i have lvl 80 HUMAN Warrior, named, lets say, John. He has a lot of exotic soulbound gear/weapons. I want to delete him and create a new Warrior, ASURA, with the same name: John.
If i put all my soulbound exotic gear from human John to my Bank and then delete him, would i be able to equip that gear on my new Asura Warrior with the SAME name when i reach lvl 80?
I mean if i use the same name i guess there shouldn’t be any problems?

Dagger, Axe or GS for Power Necro?

in Necromancer

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

I jus’t can’t find a good power weapon for pve and wvw (for PvP i don’t even bother any more, condi all the way). Any idea what it would be the highest single target power weapon?

Should i go GS + Axe/x, Gs + Staff, Axe + Dagger/x …?
I have been playing condi builds (Scepter/x + Staff) for a while but wanted to give power builds a try, but everything seems so … weird?

In both, pvp and pve as condi necro i have way better survivabiltiy. Is that normal or that’s just me? Dagger siphon health seems completely useles, it barely gives any health to me, damage is ok, IF you can stay on your target which is not always possible.
I was wondering how can you guys play non condi builds? They are only good for destroying structures:)

Also is it possible to make one of these weapons (GS, Axe, dagger) a condi/hybrid weapon? Like scepter + GS? Or Scepter + Axe. Do you think that could work?

Guys, you forgot another condi weapon set: p/d is not bad at all. You can go p/d + d/d or p/d + sb and the dmg part is great, survivability is decent too.
Funny thing, that all three condi weapons are viable in PvP …

Beginner profession

Sifu.9745

Which profession would your recommend for a beginner who wanted to do dungeons then fractals then raids?

Necromancer: you just won’t die. You can make more mistakes then on any other profession. You can play both: condi (easiest) and power builds. Might not be the most wanted profession out there but for sure the safest one. Warrior is also a “safe mode” for beginners. Ranger only, if you really like pets, but you can expect very buggy AI on your pets.
Avoid Ele and Thief if you don’t want to sit in downed state 80% of the time:D Exception is d/d condi thief. Mesmer is also not beginners friendly class for pve.

Difficulty Level of raids

in Fractals, Dungeons & Raids

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

In World of Warcraft (Legion) you have 4 types of raid difficulties:
1. Looking for Raid: the easiest mode, available to all casuals. You don’t need to know bosses tactics.
2. Normal: a bit harder, still availible to random groups, you need to know bosses tactics.
3. Heroic: you need an organized group to be able to do it. Only a small percentage of players are able to do it.
4. Mythic: Hardcore only: 1% – 3% of playerbase are able to do it. Expect a lot of wiping.
Of course you get better rewards, harder the content is.

If we could get just two different types of Raids in GW2 that would be awesome: one for casuals and another one for more experienced/skilled players.

IS D/P really "Meta" in lower ranks??

in Thief

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

Hahaha if you wait like 15 secs when fighting a condi thief they are done. 3-5 dodges and they blow all of thier initiative.

And how do you “wait” for 15 seconds? If you just run away for that time = no initiative spend:) Not all classes can dodge 3 -5 times within 15 seconds.
Also this thread is about lower ranks, where condi Thieves are op as hell.

IS D/P really "Meta" in lower ranks??

in Thief

Sifu.9745

Why bother with d/p (are you a masochist or one of those super skilled guys)? Play d/d condi “perma” evasion = free win for your team. You just can’t loose any 1 vs 1 as d/d + p/d(sb) Thief. Even p/p builds work better then d/p.
People always like to put more and more effort into everything. Why would you drive a car, if you can run. And since d/d is too easy why don’t we all play meta d/p build with zero survivability? I really don’t get all these d/p thieves jumping in the middle of the fight and dying 3 sec later … What do they want to prove???

Why are Thiefs so toxic for a PvP team?

Sifu.9745

Perma Dodge Thief would like to have a word with you:D
Thief is the best 1vs1 class in the game (perma dodge, d/d condition one only), but people usually play d/p builds and that’s why they loose. You need to be really skilled to be good with d/p Thief.
If you are average at this game move away from Thieves or play only d/d + p/d condi builds or p/p power builds (not that strong).

Are unranked maps more enjoyable?

in PvP

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

I play unranked only. Reasons: i can play whatever profession with whatever build and weapon sets i want too without being punished too much, while in ranked i’m forced to play meta only. I can play Staff ele, Turret engie, Rifle Warrior, condi Thief or non elite specs, everything works just fine. Also it is a bit easier to play unranked maps and yes, they are more enjoyable

Also i like to play vs casual and pro players. You never know how skilled your next opponent will be: sometimes i see a Thief, he goes stealth and in next three seconds i’m in downed state, if i make one mistake lol, but next time i can kill two Thieves together. I like that surprise factor, you can meet complete noobs or pro players, everything is possible: Unranked, ladies and gentleman.

Just try it. Thief can then swap to P/D and Immobilize you over and over again while dodging and running to you and also doing nice pressure to you with aa and Venoms. And if you are still alive he’s in your range within seconds for D/D weapon set
If he uses SB instead of P/D than you have a bit easier yob but then he can simply #5, #5, #5 away from you to reset the fight.

Non HoTs proffs you are looking for:
1. Power Thief has all you need with exception of Survivability. Condition Thief has much better survivability but more sustain than burst dmg and has also very easy playstyle.

2.Engineer, both condi and power.

3. Guardian: great dueling class, best survivability, nice burst, not that great mobility. Not sure about Ranger …

Just avoid Elementalist, worst profession right now. If you want to die a lot than pick one Oh, you can play tanky, support kind of elementalist and never die, but that’s not what you are looking for. Burst ele is dead.

New to thief...how to survive?

Sifu.9745

Avoid 1 v 1s

Depends on your spec and weapon set. If you play condi D/D + P/D (or SB) you can 1v1 almost every class and your survivability is very good. I can kill Warriors (Rifle ones excluded) so easily with D/D, no way to kill them with D/P power build, Guardians are tougher but doable. Sometimes i can even 1vs2 lol, if both of my opponents fight in melee range only. Only profession who makes me real trouble is Druid and condi engie sometimes. I mostly play with Sage’s Amulet, DA, Trickery and Acrobatics for better survivability and nice healing for every initiative spent.
I have no idea why condi thief is not in a meta lol.

Oh, and i’m talking about unranked arenas, are you ok with that, you elitists? I guess op have in mind unranked arenas too.

new player needs help with gear

Sifu.9745

If you buy all pieces of Exotic gear (armor, weapon, trinkets) from the TP you will need 40 -80 gold. No way to spend 500 gold lol, if you won’t pay attention to visual look, because some pieces are really expensive just because they have different skin. So you can get berserker gloves for 2.5 gold or another one with different skin, but exactly the same stats, for 30 gold for example. But you can change your wardrobe almost for free anyway. Exotic gear is the best you can buy. Ascended is only for about 5% better but you need to craft it or be very lucky with a loot.
Also if you have enough Karma and Laurels you can buy some exotic armor for karma and some Ascended trinkets for laurels …

Berserker stats are Power, Precision and Ferocity with Power as the highest stat. That’s what you are looking for.

The difference between Exotic and Ascended gear/weapons are only, i don’t know, maybe 3 -5% increase in stats? So my question is: is it worth spending so much time with crafting, just to get that very small increase?
I know Ascended gear can also be dropped (i would take that:)) and bought for Laurels (amulets, rings, accessories) and such, but other than that is it worth to spend time crafting or farming it?
For WvW, pve or open world, soloing champions?

Is shortbow viable as a damage dealer?

in Thief

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

Funny thing is, that i can deal better dmg with my SB if i play condi builds: use your Skale and Spider Venoms and you can do pretty nice dmg in pvp. Not as strong as P/D but not far behind and you don’t need to be in a melee range like you have to be if you use your #3 P/D skill.
As a power weapon SB is not strong enough, neither is D/D or P/D. You just need to play these three weapon sets as condi to get max results. Also SB offers better survivability than P/D so it is worth to have it as a secondary weapon as condi d/d Thief.

Since celestial Amulet has been gone in PvP, i need to find a way for hybrid rifle/flamethrower build to work in pvp as well. Maybe i could just trade Ferocity for Condition? Something like Sage’s Amulet or Rampager or maybe Rabid … Why did they remove Celestial Amulet from pvp btw?

@Jerus, I’m thinking more of a hybrid than full condition or full power. If you go for power, precision, condi, instead of power, precision, ferocity (Rampager vs Berserker) damage shouldn’t have been much lower i guess.

As i mentioned, only to have some fun in WvW and unranked PvP … I really don’t care much about meta.

I have in mind PvP and WvW only, but i’m not sure about stats … Should i go with more power or more condi? Nothing serious, just for fun and for superior mobility … Or am i forced to stuck with Power builds only on my Rifle?

Do you prefer the rifle or the bow?

in Warrior

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

Rifle is single target only(with exception of #5) and it hits harder than bow on single target. It’s more bursty but sustain dmg is about the same as LB. Bow could be used as condi or power weapon, or (the best variant) mixture of both, while Rifle is power weapon only. If you take Tactics you can have very strong AA burning dmg. Rifle is also a little bit more defensive weapon: #4 and #5.
Take what you want , really, not a big difference, because most of the time you should fight with your melee weapons
I just more prefer LB visually, i just can’t get used to that combination of heavy armor gear + Rifle. A knight using rifle … a bit weird even in fantasy game …

Is vanilla warrior still viable in pvp?

in Warrior

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Hi guys. I am a returning player. Stopped playing sometime before HoT, because of college, and now I finally have time to play again. Since I don’t have the expansion, I was wondering if vanilla warrior is still viable in PvP. I know that hammer/gs is still somewhat viable, but I was wondering about other builds.

Yes, it is viable and it has many viable builds. Some professions are more viable then others. Vanilla condi Necro and condi Engineer are equal to their elite builds. Warrior is not far behind, especially condi Warrior (sw/sh(sw) + lb). I have been playing with GS+ Rifle in unranked and having a lot of fun, i can kill even op DHs with Rifle. GS + mace or axe/sh works pretty well too.

New to thief...how to survive?

Sifu.9745

Whaaat? Thief is one of the best profs for 1vs1. You can kill your opponents really fast with right build. I’m not talking about high rated, but in solo queue Thief is very strong. Survivability is great: you have many escape options not just stealth. If you die a lot, take Shadow Arts + Deception skills: will help you survive and use SB more often. You are not a Warrior, you have to move and dodge a lot.
Warrior and Necro both have about 70% more base health then Thief but they have weaker survivability than Thief and i’m not kidding. Blind, dodge and Stealth are your best friends.
You can also try p/p + sb, if you have trouble fighting in melee range. P/P burst dmg is very high and a lot of fun. You can kill DHs with double pistols.
And as mentioned above avoid fighting as melee when you see too many red circles on the floor

Viable, high burst builds?

in PvP

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

Thief definitely has the highest skill floor.

In my hands Elementalist has higher skill floor than Thief and i’m sure that majority will agree with me. Switching between four Attunements all the time, Jesus! … One mistake, one wrong attunement, and i’m downed lol. You have way too many buttons and combos … Engineer, if you play it with more than one kit can be difficult too. More buttons = higher skill floor.
Thief’s playstyle is challenging but enjoyable, while ele is frustrating + thief has one super easy weapon set: double pistols, if you really can’t stand on melee weapons.

D/P Thief, high skill cap-best results, (P/P power Thief can work too but is much easier than d/p and less effective), P/P condi Engineer: burst is just insane, and Guardian. Not sure about Revenant …
Ele and Mesmer are not “bursty” any more, you might have some success with Scepter condi mesmer build, but it can be countered with some professions who focus on condi cleansing …

Weakest/least popular classes this season?

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

Hard to say which profession is the weakest, but least popular i would say is Engineer. PvP is full of Thieves, Warriors, Necros, Rangers and Guardians(ups, DHs i mean), there are some Mesmers and Eles, but Engies and Revenants are not as popular as other profs: i barely see any engie, maybe once per every third match.

Thief unfair advantage

Sifu.9745

However, D/P is still more versatile for conquest and is therefore a better build overall. It also happens to take more skill to play. In fact, I think it’s one of the most skill based builds in the game. The contrast between power and condi thief is mind blowing. One is the hardest and one is the easiest.

How can condi be easier than power? If i play condi i have like zero survivability out of melee fighting: rotation might be easy but not very effective compared to d/p or p/p.
For me d/p is much more effective and friendly for new players. The easiest one is probably p/p. The hardest in my hands is Sw/d.

Which classes are the best at conquest?

in PvP

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

I ’d avoid thief. Thief is an high tactical class and for going solo with thief and being usefull you have to have a good map knowledge and strategy. it is not a class for beginners .

Depends what kind of weapon set you’ve been using: P/P Thief is probably the easiest spec in the game and very effective. Every noob can kill with double pistols in a matter of seconds (yes, you can kill DHs with p/p), while other weapon sets requires much more skill. p/p burst dmg is super high (power, not condi) and survivability is not that bad, just be sure to take d/p offset vs profession with high reflection or SB if you need more mobility.

Sifu.9745

Hi, a pistol fan here
I just did some “hotjoins” yesterday with my new lvl 2 engie and i had so much fun!
Damage part is amazing: I can kill other players really fast. All i need are my pistols, no bombs, grenades and other kits for dmg part.
I use Elixir gun mostly for condi cleansing, team helping and if i need more survivability. But most of the time i stay on p/p.
I also have Flamethrower equiped but just because of tool belt effect(Incendiary ammo), which gives me super burst for my next three attacks. I almost never use Flamethrower btw, i really can’t afford myself to stay in melee range for more than a second or two.
And Rocket Boots for Rocket Kick That’s all i need to have super fun PvP experience.

Why i don’t see many condition engineers in PvP these days? I would expect much more engi/scrapers use p/p for super high and quite save dmg. Condi cleanse? Np, you can spam them over and over again. No risk, high reward, with exception of p#4 which needs closer range, but can do over 14k burning dmg in 15 seconds lol. Survivability is also great, thanks to super mobility and other stuff.

I also play p/p Thief but i have better survivability on my engie and i don’t rely only on one ability like Unload (p#3) is for Thieves.

Couldnt one argue that since the fights are alot more tanky and last longer itd require proper; teamwork, positioning, skill usage, and setups? I’m a new gen so I obv don’t know too much but in terms of PvP fundamentals from what I’ve seen in the past this game was alot more burst dmg with quicker kills. Drawn out PvP fights focuses more on teamwork and -insert said things above-.

Hmm, pre HoT i was able to play with Toughness/Vitality Amulet if i wanted to play a bunker build, and i had very good survivability. They removed defensive Amulets and some other ones too. Now, one mistake and you go from 100% to downed in 4 or 5 seconds lol. Damage is just way to high right now. It was fine before HoT if you wanted to play defensive builds. Now you can’t play defensive/bunker builds any longer:(

Questions about weapon sets and Sigils ...

Sifu.9745

I play a lvl 80 Thief p/p + d/p. My question is: is it ok if i only equip two pistols or i really need to buy three of them? Exotic ones are very expensive and i don’t have much gold to spend
I mean i have two pistols in first weapon set and only dagger in second weapon set (or dagger/pistol first set and one pistol secondary set). As i can see there is no need to equip another pistol with my dagger, because off-hand pistol from first weapon set is also applied to my secondary weapon set. But i’m not sure if this would affect my dmg part or/and Sigils?

Also does it matter in which order do you put superior sigils on your weapons? Lets say i put superior sigil of air to dagger main-hand and supperior sigil of blood to pistol off-hand. Does that mean that dagger will only proc sigil of air while pistol will proc sigil of blood?

Sorry for english …

Non HoT Staff Ele for PvP?

in Elementalist

Posted by: Sifu.9745

Sifu.9745

Hi, Sifu, to give you an idea: Altough i’ve been inactive for the last two months, and only just checking the latest updates right now, I have been playing gw2 for about 3 years now and basically played nothing else but STAFF ele for like 75% of that time (yeah, i looove the staff elementalist xD).

overal
So to give you an answer: The staff ele is one of (if not) the hardest profession-weapon combo in the game and it took me waaaay more time to master than other professions and weapon sets. So it’s completely normal if you’re still dying on every encounter after rolling staff ele for 2 weeks (^.^). The difficulty in the staff lies in the fact that you have to find a way to put your opponents in places where they don’t want to be (your damaging fields) if you don’t do this correctly, they’ll just step out rendering your skills constantly wasted. Luckily we get the means to keep them in our fields (we’ve got cc’s for DAAYS) but that’s just as mutch a weakness as a strength, a weakness because actually USING your cc to put them in your fields is EXTREMELY hard, a strength because no other weapon or class has the potential to constantly control 3 to 4 players AT THESAME TIME on a cadence so you basically controle the battlefield. In that manner, the staff is really rewarding. Not mutch players realize this about the staff ele! The thing is, i almost gave up on staff because things seemed to difficult and underpowered, but luckily I liked it tomutch to not be able to endure the time requered to master it. So go for it!

little help:

Builds
tank
As a “beginner” i suggest you max out your heal-/tankyness (as you were allready planning to). This way you’ll have more feel for the mechanics. I suggest this build:
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vFAQFA2m0XCVYi9XilNAjQKYEMIAwdv+XPsA-TpQIwAGLDA4CAAA
Now, as you can see there are some open slots, the skills, traits, runes or sigils you choose are dependent on what you want to be (team-based or 1v1 capholder) or what the opponent’s teamcomposition is (high condi or raw damage output). Now to go over the choices:
*skill slot 9:
armor of earth: for when you expect more raw damage and cc.

Glyph of storms: for if you rrrreally want to go pure team based, the most usefull defensive one is sandstorm that pulses an area blind every 0.9 sec. for 10 seconds. When casted on a cappoint during teamfights it gives your team some breathing space (if not making them basically invuln.). Ice storm is the next good one (there’s nothing more annoying than getting chill repeatedly applied over the whole point). Lightning storm raps up to 25 stacks of vuln soooo fast, VERY usefull when in an organized team and you’re a staff ele who can keep all five of them in the lightning (and the other fields) for as long as it takes.

Cleansing fire: You shouldn’t run this unless you really want to go crazy on the condi cleanse or when there’s more than 1 condi necro in the opponent’s team.

Glyph of elemental power: because ‘Weakness’ is an underrated debuff.

*elite skill:
Rebound: again, when you’re team-based or want to max out your viability, this skill makes tanking a 3v1 a bit less stressfull. (you could still do it without though, but whether you have it or not it takes more than just a build to pull off a 3v1 while holding the cap point).
Glyph of elementals: for when you expect more 1v1 situations, the fire elemental’s damage is crazy, and it compensates for the damage lost in your build (without it you’ll need more mechanical skill (and time) to kill a competent player. The ice elemental heals for more than 6k! ’Nuf said.

*Traits
earth: by far the most important line for deciding to go anticondi or antiburst. For the first collumn, go for Elemental shielding or Earth’s embrace (doesn’t really matter, more of a personal choice) The third collumn is why earth trait is so important, Diamond skin or Stone heart (you get the idea when you read the tooltips )
water: ‘soothing ice’ or stop ‘drop and roll’ (again, your own preference). Cleansing water is quiet important, you could go for powerfull aura, as a staff shouter, you already have sooooooomutch support output that it becomes overkill, so Cleansing aura is the last thing you should change for both anticondi and antiburst builds.
Tempest: speaks for itself.

*Sigils:
sigil of doom or energy or purity. All depends on either having more 1v1 encounters as capholder, wanting more defence or going for anticondi

*Runes:
rune of earth or rune of the soldier (again: choice of playstyle!)
build before Hot
this is what i kinda used as a healertank capholder before HoT
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?vFAQFAWhMMowhNOwpB0RMsBYTDIAcBpVQGYEUA-TJxHwAc2fQwDAAZZAAXAAA

glass builds
As ‘Loboling’ partially pointed out, it’s true that for the staff, the best glass builds are non-HoT/non-tempest builds. This, partially because tempest skills requiere you to be too close to your opponent. But it isn’t true that full glass canon staff ele is not viable, yes, if you want to do sweet, sweet damage you can go for ’Loboling’s’ build. But it’s true that with this build, you’re a sitting duck, all it takes is a medium competent team to negate your contribution to the match.

IMO, i think Loboling’s spike is a bit of an overkill (however satisfying :P), so what if i told you that you can have as mutch (but a tiny bit less spiky) damage output in order to be a COMPLETE NIGHTMARE for any1 who focuses you? As a matter of fact, since i found this build and playstyle out, i loooove getting in 1v1 situations as a glass, especially against thieves (they WERE the most annoying since they could basically kill you before they even get reveiled xD) if you can beat any thief as a glass you can beat any other class (except for revenant, i still have to find a mechanic against revs) the following build is the first build i found to give me a chance on 1v1 encounters (on XvX encounters you’ll have to back off thou, but since you’re running with your buddies, they should get the aggro, this is solely for when in a teamfight one of the opponents try to pick you off or when you’re decapping):
Using the lightning hammer, this was specially designed against thieves.

Better build for against all classes:

The conjure earth shield allows you to target multiple foes with same effectiveness and also sustain longer and possibly escape when an organised team desides to gangrape you xD
Cleansing fire is for the lack of condi cleanse (you could also go for ether renewal, but you’ll lose your damage pressure when on 1v1)
AS LONG AS YOU GET ASAP IN EARTH ATTUNEMENT WHEN YOU’RE OUT OF IT AND USE YOUR CONJURES IN HERE. (this is because of the god-like stone heart master trait)
PS: remember, the more pressure you apply the less you’ll get, that’s kind of the motto :P
I’ll try posting a gameplay example.

That’s exactly what I’ve been looking for! Thank you so much
As you mentioned above, Staff is one of the hardest profession weapon combo in the game, but I’m addicted to it:P

Non HoT Staff Ele for PvP?

Ty for your replies, guys
I have in mind more tank/healing/support oriented gameplay with Staff. Dmg part is really awful, so i don’t want to focus on dmg with this weapon. Something like Earth/Water+maybe Arcane or Fire?
Btw how is Staff with HoT in PvP: any better?

I’m playing with Scepter right now and while dmg part is high enough, survivability seems very low …

Why Stealth breaks on damage taken?

in Thief

This is very annoying in PvP: whenever i Stealth and there is a trap, mark or other aoe dmg on the floor, Stealth breaks immediately. I just can’t Stealth and use stealth attacks on anyone who uses AOE. Is this intended or a bug?
Now i find stealth completely useless as an offensive ability against any class who uses AOE kind of dmg abilities … It is only good as escape option and some 1vs1 fights.
What an irony: i have much better survivability and dmg done, if i focus on non stealth builds with more Blindness oriented playstyle

AoE is Excessive in this Game

The most stupid thing about AOE is their damage part: AOE abilities do equal or even more dmg than single target abilities lol.
In WoW or some other MMOs you won’t kill single player with aoe spells, in GW2 you can do it with easy.

Non HoT Staff Ele for PvP?

Do you think that Staff Ele can work in casual PvP without HoT? I really like staff playstyle only, can’t handle daggers, not sure about Scepter, i just like to have a range weapon as Elementalist, in melee range i usually die in five, six seconds.
I have success with Necromancer and Warrior non HoT builds, but i can’t find any viable build for staff ele … I’m only interesting about non ranked arena and WvW …
Thanks for any help.

Many thanks for advices. What do you think about GS/Rifle, precisely I mean this one?

Why Rifle? I always use LB with GS … Hmm, maybe i should give this build a try … looks interesting.

Is P/P viable?

Do you think that P/D is much weaker than P/P in PvP? Looks like as the most useless weapon set in the game …

Petless ranger?

What exactly don’t you like about the pets? There are a ton of reasons not to like them, just curious as to yours.

I don’t like the AI of the pets, i more prefer solo playstyle and managing a pet sometimes is really annoying. I always need to watch on them: are they close to death and need healing, are they on the wrong target when i switch targets, do i have the right pet out for this situation and etc. I don’t have enough time and skill to take care about myself and my pet. It is very frustrating.
I could play with birds maybe (they are small) but they die so quickly …
