Halloween was the first living story event, makes it exciting and new, a promise of good things to come. This is just regurgitate content that we have already played through. I like replay the old content, but the should have been a large amount of new content introduced with the old stuff. Anyone saying that they want to running the JP with other players can go kitten themselves.

Where / How is this achievement completed. Is it in dungeon or Scarlett’s Invasion?
Tequatl should be an 80 dungeon instance. Tequatl scales with number of players, and a lot of players are dead weight. Guesting insures extra bodies and that the percentage of dead weight players is reduced. Guesting helps the high population servers and kittens the low population servers.
A change I would to see is a prioritized combo fields for players to blast/leap into. Water, Fire, poison, smoke, ice, light, chaos etc. When in a dungeon there’s at least one guardian on every team spamming useless light fields, covering up the more usefull combo fields. If there are 2 or more fields on the ground you should be able to combo in the one you created. There is also be some basic AI choosing which field party members combo with based on most advantageous to the situation your in.
Elementalist’s don’t care about the staff. I find it situational very usefull for its 1200 range, and its defensive controls (statis field, cripple, freeze). Its already powerful enough, people don’t use it because it’s slow and cumbersome to use. More importantly I don’t use it because its no a fun weapon to use.
Would also like to see the class and level of people requesting to join your party. To rangers, enigineers and elementalists out of parties.

Speak for yourself. I don’t play SAB because it isn’t fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if they the majority of GW2 players felt the same as myself.
matches were set at 120 points. In 3 minutes, half the time was waiting for match to start and finish. There were 3 × 30 second waves of 20 suiciders rushing center of map and hitting each other once then falling to there deaths. Rinse and repeat. That’s approximely 5-7k glory or rank and hour.
I joined a skyhammer game where 10 player teams would rush the center of map. Tag each other with AoE then fall to there deaths through opening in floor. They were getting 350 rank/glory every 2-3 minute match.
I don’t pvp much. Have been playing more of late because I covered most of the PvE and WvW and wanted to do. I was starting to have a lot of fun with PvP. Seeing this farm completely turned me off from PvPing. I don’t care about the cosmetic rewards in PvP. Rising in rank has lost any sort of appeal it might of had. When it takes no effort, skill or even time.

I have found memories of this staff in GW1 and would to see its return, maybe as a ascended weapon. It would be nice to use the wind catcher back piece + effects as the staff head (minus the crossbar and flags on top).

I have a full set of celestial armor, weapon and trinkets. I like them enough that I want to keep them. But agree that since all other magic find gears (explorer, travaler + wayfarer’s) were given the option to change, so should have celestials.
With the amount of farming needed to a legendary the karma should be the least of your worries. Karma is gained far quicker than 99% of the players can spend it. Sounds like you got caught with low karma from the orrian boxes + buffs trick and now you have to start from scratch.
No grind?!? The game is a year old, if there’s no grind the MMO move on to another game were you can grind. I do which this game was more friendly to multiple characters. It feels like I am missing out on all the good rewards because there is too much gear to grind for all my alts. Or that I am missing out on more variety like WvW or PvP because I am too busy grinding gear for alts.
Good thing my 10k achievement points gave me an extra 8% magic find. Because I had to spend 5 minutes and 50 silver to salvage an another 10% magic find.
I was going to complain that CoF dungeon was always contested. Even with guest passed it’s taking to long to bother doing the daily. Using gw2bear.com I noticed while while NA servers seem to never be open, Euro server are all open. It can also be noted that woodenpotatoes (on youtube) stated that Euro servers have a healthy PvP populated, while NA is fail.
So is GW2 thrieve in Euro and dieing in NA? Should we be transferring to play on Euro servers? Should dev’s start closing down NA servers? (The game is much more fun on populated servers for PvE, WvW and PvP.)
In order for karma to be valuable you need to be able to you need to be able to spend it on something worthwhile. Karma is still fail. Have 5.5 million karma and nothing to buy.
I like celestial even without magic find. The time gaiting the crafting them is kittened when they are as useful as berserker. The should have induced the them with September 3 patch to not angry the people who only wanted them as the top tief MF% gear. I am out 59% MF with barely anytime using the gear. Not to mention I dropped 100g on the cultural armor skins/ transmutation stones, which will now have to be transmuted to ascended berserker gear.
I far preferred diablo 3 paragon system. With Magic Find being tied to characters vitual leveling. Salvage is the least possible fun a person can have playing this game. Now people are forced to farm the trading post.
They choose not to have templates. They had the in GW1. When there is templates joining groups want you to run the meta builds found on websites rather than your own custom ones.
Instead groups just want you to be a Warrior, Guardian or Mesmer running full berserker gear/builds. So lack of templates is fail because PvE class balancing doesn’t exist anyways.
Just mentioning SAB is enough to put me too sleep. The 1st time around it was unplayably boring. Fingers crossed that with is nothing like the original.
When opening birthday mail. Got a second letter from the consortium directing me to fractals of the mist for some kinda for yearend review of heroic accomplishments. That letter has since disappeared. My guess it was a bug that I got it now, because of 3 day headstart, instead of in 3 days. Does anyone know anything about this?
Who cares. I present was more than enough. The present wasn’t worth the time it took to open the mail. Was bored with minis 7 years ago. A useless scroll that will be deleted or take up space in storage. An insignificant consumable that’s only purpose is to try and get you to spend more money in the gemstore.
That said I am 7/13. I mostly get the full reward. So the invasion outcome might be meaningless. Although its nice to win.
This was only my 2nd day and my maps were only 3/7 wins on my servers. Afkers contribute to failure, but the champion farmers are the problem. They zerg up and scale up events rather than separate and making a coordinated effort to finish events. They often don’t even attack the enemies to progress the waves, because there busy looting champs.
This is to keep players from getting rewards if they join for the last 5-10mins.
Lost about 12gold there. On the surface, I don’t really care, but I still feel wronged. Don’t go around complaining about it. That won’t change anything. I just stop using the gem store until the memory of this fades. Or until the store has something I really really want.
TYVM. Mantra of Distraction worked like a charm. Got it achievement on 2nd try. Because 1st time I forgot to precharge mantra, and was charging instead of dazing when I went to use it.

Having to play with / around farmers is what why I missing pre-nerf CoF dungeons. CoF farm groups had a way to separating the truly terrible human beings from the general public. I am not saying everyone with a Legendary Weapon is a douchbag, it’s just there significantly more likely to be douchbags.
That said using waypoints aren’t a goldsink. The time they save makes you gold, is most situations anyways. If rezing was instant these farmers still would rez because it cuts into there arena cage time. It would be nice if arena.net set a timer that only let you re-enter the cage vs the same enemy you just Beat (wins not losses) once every 5 minutes. But don’t kid yourself arena.net wants to put the farms on the temporary content, to put pressure on people to keep logging in. So you will be forced to play with/around the scum(farmers), more in the future.
CoF dungeon was nerfed to make way for the new farm farming system. The living story temporary content will always be the new farm. Its intentional, makes players feel they have to be playing RIGHT NOW to now pass over this great opportunity to get rich. The are a lot of players who only play this game to farm and arena.net wants to keep them happy. It will atleast very the farm so thakittens kitten ring than CoF is for the 100th time.
Boss one shoting mechanics aside. I find toughness to be the 2nd most useful stat after power. Really the only 3 prefixes you should be using in PvE are Beserker, knight or celestial.
While achievement points don’t take skill to run up. It means you have be playing the game longer, are more experienced with the game mechanics, familiar with the dungeons, using more efficient builds. While AP don’t matter themselves. Its easy to predict how faster and smooth a dungeon clear will go with veterans with moderate to high AP versus noobs with less 2.5k AP.
Personally I play dungeons with the noobs. I play the game mostly just for the fun of it, not to farm anything. The dungeons save ARaH and a few random paths are far to easy. Playing with noobs add some much needed challenge, as it impossible to fail almost all dungeons. The worst that can happen it that you add an extra 5-15 mins to the run.

A month from now I am moving to the city to a small town. My internet connection will be going from 800 kbps to 128 kbps. Does anyone know if GW2 will still be playable @ 128 kbps? Will it become plagued by lag and rubberbanding?
If not is the a satellite internet provider (in Canada) that could give me playable speeds of the internet…. or any other suggestions.

She is the best NPC from the personal story in GW2. I think you guys missed a great opportunity to reintroduce her as the Pavilion announcer. Most of your NPCs like Ellen or that char who ran against her in the recent election (whose name I have already forgotten) and so dry and non descriptive. Elli brought excitement to an otherwise drab personal story.
Queue exist on all tiers. I transfer from Jady Quarry top tier to Sorrow’s furnace usually in last or 2nd to last tier to get away from the queue. You still find the queue on Fridays and staurday nights on eternal battlegrounds. You somethings even get it on SF borderlands. Even thou the borderlands are unplayably boring. The queue is one of the biggest reasons the I don’t WvW much.
I can only think that the less densely populated have lower server cap entry numbers, to try to level the playing field. But mostly it just keeps people from playing WvW.
Karma allows you to get the current best tier of armors, the second best tier of accessories and the second best tier of weapons (respectivelly exotics, exotics and rares). Arguably it already has enough uses in the game, even ignoring all other karma vendors (such as the ones for cooking materials).
Best tier armour and trinkets are pointless if you cant get the prefixes you want. Berserker, Knight and Celestial is where the game is at…not karma options. Rare weapons are only usable when reskinned with transmutation crystals.
Legendaries are nice, but I won’t buy even if I had the gold. I don’t feel there worth the effort put into acquirement. Crafting…meh. I be in the same boat as the majority of this games players by the end of the year, converting karma into gold via lost orrian boxes.
Anyone still use Karma? The first couple million spends. But its been obsolete for myself for the better part of a year. I might convert it to gold via the Lost Orrian Jewelry Box, except the time spent acquiring the karma versus the pittance of gold converted is dishearttening.
What are you guys spenting your karma on? After you’re done with have the exotic karma armor vendors and cultural weapons skins. This game needs a karma sink.
If you want a good story…read a book. I didn’t even know the living story was telling a story. I thought it was just an excuse to introduce new mini games and the jumping puzzles. I think at this point arena.net can give up the pretense of story telling because no one cares.
The groups are made up of the people who failed on there own. Use a full zerker build and retreat to shred agro. Know the 3 plunderer spawn points. I camp on top of the initial spawn point and spam auto attack, you shouldn’t even have to use another skill there.
Learn the pattern. The initial spawn @ 8min then alittle less than 30 secs after that. At 5:30 mins the second far spawn point begins spawn. I use my thief utility pull there, you might consider letting that 2nd spawn go the first time and he spawns initially in a group. At 3:00 mins the 3rd point point comes into play.
Personally I found the thief the best with the utility and spamable interrupts headshot or pistolwhip and catch the plunderers on the return trip (interrupts after a couples of seconds of them unloading there goods.
Magic find not being tied to gear or achievement points. I would prefer it to be like the Diablo 3 paragon systems. Where you level you character passed level 80 in title and gain magic find and gold find. I but there going to tie it to achievement points to force you to log in everyday.
Meteor shower is almost unusable in its current state, with a long cast time and its inability to hit anything. You need to target a 50 enemy zerg to make half the meteors hit. The only time I bother casting is in WvW when I am targeting the enemies on the keep walls, as I cycle through my ground targeting skills.
I beat Adnul in 2 tries after reading the dulfy guide, with no boosts. Learn to play, he isn’t nearly as tough as people give him credit for being.
Who cares about the achievement points race. Maybe 200 people of the 3 million who bought the game. Arena.net did do nearly enough when linking this game to guild wars 1. HoM is a joke, it has 3 decent skins, a few titles. 500 achievement doesn’t change anything.

Does Guild Wars 2 run on a ipad? I remember arena.net announcing it would, but can’t find anything on net saying it can.
Currently any exotic to max stats. It depends on you class and what your using it for. I would only consider using berserker (dps), strong(tanky), knight or celestial (balanced).
