Recognizing a class by its gear is something needed in pvp + wvw. Medium armor needs to differ from light and heavy at a glance. The fix is to play another class. You would be doing yourself a favor, Rangers are probably the least fun class to play, followed closely by necros.
I got it by spaming /cheer every 3 secs, 100-200 times, during last 5th round of fight. Throw in a couple /waves for the champions leaking by me in the lane.
+30 warden fights my group of 5 hasn’t lost 1 fight yet. haven’t destroyed generator with less than 42 seconds left to spare. You don’t have to be great to win warden fight. You only need 1 person who can dodge and rez soft downed players to beat the fight. Its not hard content, most of the PvE community has no skill whatsoever. Arena.net should supply a dodge tutorial / challenge that players have to beat before being allowed to play group content.
I have 3/5 on dodges achievement. Not only do you need to dodge all. But all 5 groups need to kill wardens and destroy generators to sever chain inorder for achievement to work.
The ‘marionette dismisser’ with the /cheer seems bugged. Have beaten marionette 5 times and cheer, but no achievement. skipped cutscene and everything. It should been a freebie for beating the marionette.
I doubt there will ever be any payable races ever added to the game. Its a lot of work to make up new animations for every classes skills. Then you need a new racial city and probably a starter area. The majority for players don’t care about new playable races. I would rather see new classes, skills, variations on game mechanics and more challenging game content.

Why did people with legendary get there weapons upgraded from exotic to ascended? They bought them knowing the existing stats.
Back piece wasn’t to bought to get ahead. It was purchased because it was required to play more difficult game content. GW2 needs more difficult content. If we knew that it wouldn’t have been needed, people wouldn’t have bought it.

So for the extra 10 AR you use to need you had to spend 2300 fractal relics + 250 globs of ectoplasm. That’s a a lot of wasted effort now that cheaper infusion items are available. 2300 fractal relics buys me an extra 15 × 20 slot bags for characters. 250 ecto anythere 90 gold. Most people opted to spend the extra 500 relics and 250 ecto to move onto the 4th shiny version only because they had already spent so much on getting to the 3rd version and had a ugly but necessary skin to play high end fractals.
Most people bought the fractals back piece not for the item but to access higher levels of FotM. New content has made item useless. It has become a few expensive skin, that most people wouldn’t have wasted time and effort attaining. The back piece should be salvageable for cost of the ectos and fractal relics.

Overlay is nice, but with laptop I can surf the net, listen to music, display 3 servers of gw2stuff and a spredsheet of events completed today by character. Thanxs again.
Does with dragon timer need an app or pluggin to run properly. It works on my pc but not my laptop. When I mouse over the “US Worlds” to pick my server, the servers dissapear as soon as i drop from “US worlds”. Does the website need the latest windows explorer, java, adobe, etc?

Don’t worry this problem has been fixed. Arena.net no longer gives rewards for completing meta events. Recycled minis, ascended crafting materials, home instance nodes…the only give out garbage now.
The box will give you a full set of armor, either light, medium or heavy depending on which box you buy. It is a pvp armor only, and like all pvp armor it is for aethetic purposes only.
In the future Anet have said considering sharing gear between pvp and pve, meaning it may eventually be usable in PvE as well, but that is not set in stone.
Balancing PvE is never going to happen, this topic has been around since the game’s release and arena.net doesn’t even have a team together to work on the issue. When PvE players talk about balance they’re really only talking about best damage and survivability. Not really survivability, but the ability to absorb the mindlessly most damage. Each individual class doesn’t need to be balanced.
The only fixes needed are reduced melee damage or increase range damage. AoE to hit more targets or melee to hit less targets. Condition damage to tick higher dps.
In PvP, mellee is hard to hit moving targets and closer proximity / danger to foes. In PvE foes are mostly harness and stand still for your 100 blades. In PvP, condition dps promote hit and run builds and make for less fun gameplay, hence zerker dps should be higher than condition damage.
TYVM, this is good to know. I could wouldn’t have minded spending the glory, but I am glad I didn’t waste any gold on pvp gear.

Does anyone know what you when you buy the Dungeon Armors (ie) Inquest Medium Armor Box for 5g and 10k glory?
I assume that it will give you 1 full set of armor because the word box, not just a random piece of armor. But is it just of PvP or PvE. Is it a skin or can you choose the prefix stats?
Conditions are garbage. Immobilize and fear are the only ones you need to worry about killing you. Seriously if you burn or bleed someone they will be died in 30 short seconds. If a warrior has healing signet equipped he may not even notice he is burning, bleeding and poisoned as his health is still going up.
While at the same time the tower was a complete faceroll for veterans of the game.
The only point of ascended won’t be they stat increase, but the infusion slots that will allow you to play passed fractals level 50. They will probably raise fractal cap to 80.
It takes time to make100g to get the t3 cultural armor. Spend that much effort on something, you want to have it remain rare. You imagine there some prestige in having it. When something considerably nicer comes along that has the same base appearance. Then all value of your armor is stolen. It would be the exact same as developers says the GW2 is overinflated, so were going to delete 100g from everyone’s account.
Developers need to stager the armors. So that players waste the time and resources on the armors available first. Than waste more time playing to the armors they actually want. It keeps people playing longer.
Home instance nodes are the worst rewards offered to date. Excluding the most recent fractured crafting materials reward, which it so bad that it doesn’t qualify as a reward at all.
I would like to see some buffs to the -20% recharge (Alacrity) traits for elements for the 4 elements.
The -20% recharge are always among the most powerful triat for all the classes. Other classes significantly benefit more from these traits. Not only because they only need to grab one trait because they spend 90% of the time auto-attacking with one weapon. But because those -20% recharge additionally get powerful bonuses. Often bonuses are more value than -20% portion of trait (ie) Warden’s Feedback, Forceful Greatsword, Quick Breathing, Sharpened Axes.
“Always enabled auto loot” option would be better than increased range of looting. Looting is a pain, and its depressing to look at it as the drops are so terrible. The ability to filter loot picks would be nice as well. (ie) don’t pick up trophies.
Actually 30-1. Only 29 skins as rewards. They reskinned the fellblade onto a champ weapon. Not long until the steal the fire dragon sword and icebreaker from GW1 players as well.
Use LFG feature. Hit “Y” goto fractals… type lfg fractals 1. Be level 80 and have exotic gear.

I imagine leaderboards won’t be based on reaching level 50 on first come / serve based. It will be more like pvp formula. Number of times completed successfully vs times failed and left uncompleted on the highest difficulties. I imagine by the end of the month only those who have completed 50 will be on the board. Basically you will have a few hardcore gamers guilds also running together on the boards. It not a reflection of personal skill but how many similiary interested in fractal friends you have. I think of the leaderboards more as loser boards…a collection of people who failed at real life.

Moving is a sure way to make sure I drop 20 points into water instead of 10. As every build needs condition removal and elems don’t have any other decent conditional removals without wasting 30 points in water instead of 10, or wasting a slot skill on cleansing fire (too long of a cooldown).

It nice to see other trait lines branching into condition removal so we don’t have to trait water. But this skill is garbage. All condition removal traits that you don’t activate when you want too, aren’t useable.
“Persisting Flame” could also be used too remove conditions from self (in addition might and fury) then I could drop the water trait line altogether.

Arcane VII – Vigorous Scepter. Moved to Adept tier.
This its half as powerful as “Renewing Stamina”. Why would anyone ever trait this?
It’s weak compare its counterparts to “Windborne Dagger” & “Blasting Staff” as well.
I would love it PvE functionality change to be more like “Blasting Staff” but instead adjusted the attunements auto attacks.
Giving Fire 1 a 120-240 range and ability, and hit up to 3 foes.
Air an increased channeled width to hit enemies.
Water + Earth the ability to shatter then pierce through enemy and behave like Ranger’s axe’s “Spiltblade” for 600 range behind original target.
The suggestions above are seem over-powered but for PvE they aren’t because specter auto-attack are weak and for every auto-attack used I will use 2-3 regular skills. Water and earth don’t get used at all. Air only gets used while waiting on Fire / Air attunements to recharge. Fire gets when waiting on CD of 2,4,3 skills. If your auto-attacking with specter your terrible are this game, unless your running ‘Fresh Air’ spam build.

Attuning to Fire vs other Elements – Please fix (Far too weak)
Elemental Attunement: gives 1 might vs Protection, Regeneration and swiftness, 1 might isn’t marginally significant. Protection is golden, swiftness would be great if everyone didn’t already have better method for speed buff and regeneration great as well.
Attuning to Fire should give 1.5 seconds of Quickness (to fast cast Dragon Tooth, Meter Shower, or burning speed too move twice as fast). For PvE anyways is would be a lot of fun, especially burning speed.
“Arcane V – Elemental Attunement. Moved to Master tier.”
Elemental Attunement is a must have not because its over-powered, but because its so much fun. This move grarantees I drop 20 points into Arcane. I would be more upset if you didn’t need to go 15 points for “Lingering Elements” anyways in order to make it viable.
“Sunspot” – A little of direct AoE damage is weak.
“Electric Discharge” – is amazing when traited with “Fresh Air”, but poor otherwise.
“Earthen Blast” – Has great defensive utility. Too bad its 15 points into Earth trait line.
“Healing Ripple” – No one is ever going to complain about of extra healing
Fix Sunspot by having it drop a 3-4 sec low damage Ring of Fire field to blast in. It would stregthen “Persisting Flame”, which is a lot of fun but only viable in PvE with S/D. _________________________________________________________________
A 900 range off-hand with a good fire field and balanced for higher single target condition damge would be much appreciated. The focus has great defensive utility, for D/F with your dagger doing all the damage its fine. With S/F is unplayable except for a few situations use in fractals/dungeons. With S/D is the daggers which do the majority of the damage, but you need to be in closer range so the 900 range of the specter is always wasted. In GW2 this is a problem because you pay a huge cost in terms of damage output on weapons for that extra range. (IE) Melee weapons do 50-100% more damage than ranged weapons and any your not getting any bonus for using a 900 range specter at 450 range because you need to be using your dagger skills too.

i find easy surviving but for the dps part i have many issues….
-Focus off hand you get swirling winds (6 secs of protectile destroyed)

Well if they make a different class useless each time, it would be balanced. If 31 makes necros weak (immune to conditions), and 32 makes warriors weak (EG can’t be criticalled ), and 33 makes guards weak (EG reduces regeneration), 34 makes Mesmers weak (chain attacks), etc. As long as classes are all targetted the same amount of times, it’s not unbalanced.
Not really true because most fractals are once through fractals. People only do dailies on 10,20,26, 38, 48. So as only as the devs handicap the rangers on those fractals we should be good. Ps kick any ranger from group trying to get into fractals…there garbage.
30 is probably just a nice whole number. 31 or 30 doesn’t really matter.
I heard somewhere that fractals progress is being reset. If your under 30 back to 0. If your over 30 back to 30.
I no longer use my elementalist in FotM (to weak compare to other classes). I want to move my Prototype Fractal Capacitor capacitor to my guardian. Is there any way to accomplish this (ie) like transmutation splitter of using the mystic forge. I don’t what to just transfer skin, as I need to keep infusion slots.
Great look to environment and enemies. Good and interesting story development. But they forgot to make the gameplay content fun. Vanialla mobs and no mechanics here. Solo and group content are great…zerg content is fail. They think actually enjoy zerg content, but players only do it because it is more profitable than as soloist or with a few friends. Sadly this zerg content seems like it will never end.
There’s no point introducing unviable skills the skills don’t get used. I have tried all skills and dwayna’s prayer on elementalist and hounds of Balthazar on guardian on are the only ones that get any use at all. I might have taken that asuran poison field skill if I had my asurans on other classes.
But Ether Renewal is a great heal…3.5 secs. That your doing nothing, you pretty much have to use both dodges to get out of combat before using this skill.
Troll post. Please lock and delete this topic. Or make PvE finishers instant cast and with a 1200 range on ‘f’ finisher interact key. And the ability to disable in options visual effects of finishers, so it doesn’t contribute to the cluster of effects on screen.
Its not a poor system. Turn on the achievement tracker in upper right corner of screen and watch the achievement level up. I have zero sympathy anyone who whines about things because there to ignorant to figure out the most basic of gameplay concepts.
Finishers in PvP are terrible. They slow down the game and make it less fun. I have the SAB finisher for WvW, but have zero interest in using it in PvE. Lets hope this isn’t a permanent feature.
You’re joking right? Why on earth would you use Prayer to Dwayna when Glyph of Elemental Harmony can give you nearly the same heal, plus protection or regeneration, at 2/3s of the cooldown?
I find prayer far more usefull than glyph. Protection is garbage in PvE. Dodging and aggro range mitigate all the damage required. Healing in water is the only useful attunement for glyph of harmony.
I would get 7000 with dwayna vs 5300 + 2500 over 13secs with glyph. I run S/D so I am always cycling/comboing through fire, earth and air. Saving water attunement for when I need some healing. When I attune into water I get traited healing ripple + regeneration and pop 3+5 skills to refill health. My health is almost competely recovered, so there is almost never a reason to use Glyph while attuned to water. Prayer becomes my backup for when water heals are on cooldown and heals for 25% more than glyph.
Too powerful…too weak what are your thoughts on this skill. What class are you and are you going to use this skill?
I find it weak. I find the healing amount too low of a trade off for healing allies. Only usable when you’ve character is traited slot skills or weapon skills to provide addition healing. Might use it on Guardian, Elementalist and Engineer. Probably get the most use on the elementalist as it has terrible heals, which is why every elementalist you see is a human. This is the 1st time the dev’s have buffed the elems since launch, even if it was unintentional. Buffing the staff doesn’t count. No one cares about the staff.
If you don’t like zergs there are 4 other maps other than Kessex where these events take place. The new content looks great. But with no use of the games combat mechanics it gets boring really fast.
A permanent mission event were you morph into a krait and kill hordes of Quaggans as they flee from you. Something to help you feel better on a bad day
For PvE only because dev’s on care about balancing. Help make elems more viable by making all there utility skills trigger different effects based on there current attunement. Or give the scepter’s fire attack an AoE radius like the staff.
I won’t read any story. I only bother to open emails to see if there’s anything needed for the event. I would listen to an audio recording of stories that I can play while I move about the map. It doesn’t even need to be voice acted that well, regular staff would be a great improvement over reading anything.
The best place to hero panel achievement then living story and historical. With the play button up on the title bar, or pull down wizard if multiple recordings.
