Yeah anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours on our busier nights. It varies a lot really, closer to 1-2 hours on the weekends, usually not bad on weekdays. With the glitchy queue system though sometimes people get in before you do even when they queued after you. There is really no way to tell.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
There is a gold selling report button, but yeah they need a hacker report button.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Also, Warriors get a lot of stuff like bleed or vulnerability chances on crit, so having condition damage off on the side is a nice little amount of bonus damage to go on their massive crits.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
But what else could remove 100g from players bank roll. Gold sink.
A legendary can easily do that and more lol.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Double teaming is a temporary spur of the moment tactic used by everyone to take the most opportune points/objectives and not actually fully planned out ahead of time. True story.
Yeah I tried saying that already, but you know how people are.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
I’ll add in as well that it is only like 3 silver 50 copper when you hit level 80 no matter how many times you reset, so reset as much as you’d like ^-^
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Lol a lot of over-confident IoJ people thinking they are going to win when it hasn’t even been 24 hours since the match started. Think before you speak people, think before you speak. Oh and nobody from any side is teaming up with other people at all. It is just strategy that presents itself and taking advantage of moments of weakness. If you overstretch yourself of course one of the other servers will attack you where you are weakest, it makes for an easy target, it is just how things work. I am sure there will be no kind of official double teaming this week, and any supposed “teaming” will just be because an opportunity presents itself. There are tons of factors that come into play here, from owning SM, to being in the lead in total points or potential points, as well as over extending yourself and leaving a weak point. If you have any of these things…expect to be attacked by both the other teams most likely.
Get over yourselves lol, nobody is actually worth teaming up against.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Okay so seriously…I understand it is frustrating, and that it is a load of crap, and I believe you guys, but really…don’t blame the whole server. Just because there are one or more hackers doesn’t fault the server. Just be mad at the one guy and let ANet know. I mean seriously, make the title of the thread “Guy in NSP hacking” or something simple like that.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Erm, dunno where you’ve been but in Eredon Terrace borders you guys in IoJ have been attacking our side almost non stop. If you actually want us to attack them STOP ATTACKING US! I mean really that is just common sense. I don’t really care either way but honestly if you wanted us to attack them the smart thing to do would be to leave us be. Personally I’m not playing this “alliance” thing though, it is every man for himself, we are gunning for first, not 2nd.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Hrm, well if you mean glowing with red lightning that is an inquest sword, if you mean flaming red not sure which one you saw.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Yes for the love of God please do this. I just don’t get how soooooooooooo many people can complain about this, ask for a unique but difficult way to get commander, but Anet has not responded or given any kind of notice to this at all that we’ve seen. We would just like to know if you guys have plans to make it not gold related or something. I mean anything at all here would be nice, even if it is going to be down the line. I am already sick of seeing commanders who just stand there and do NOTHING in WvW but literally stand in place AFK, or worse, give ridiculous orders that have no thought or strategy behind them at all.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Yeah no joke, not to mention just because you beat a server doesn’t mean you magically pass them in rank. Ranking systems don’t work like that when they use a system like this.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Crystal Desert does have Teamspeak for public use of our guilds. The Synergy Alliance has one set up and Luvpie spams it constantly in whatever borderlands he is in (Which has been our borderlands the past few days), but people are either lazy or don’t care. We have our stuff together, the pugs and other guilds just don’t work well or listen to legit orders and strategies and just want everyone to listen to them instead.
If you would like the TS3 information just message me and I can get it to you, same goes for anybody else out there on Crystal Desert that wants in on the real coordinated actions.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
A lot of the conditions have short durations so the number of them up always falls off. Having numerous people applying conditions, even if the same one still is beneficial. At least this is how I see it.
That isn’t so with an Elementalist though. If you spec into the condition damage and duration then your bleeds just from your auto attack last over 8 seconds. They can literally keep an enemy at 12+ bleeds steadily, 20+ for like 11 seconds after their massive AOE bleed. Also if they use Glyph of Storms in Earth that also bleeds/blinds.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Works fine for me. They stated this was fixed on the update the other night, and I literally JUST tested it while in town. 96 CD.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
I’m not sure the specific one you are talking about, but you might be looking for the Kodan weapons from doing the Honor the Waves dungeon explorable mode. They have a frozen/crysal like design. Not sure if those are the ones you want, but stop by the dungeon vendors in Lion’s Arch near the WvW portals and check for yourself if it is them.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Yeah at the moment at least I know you can buy the Knight’s gear (Which takes armored scales) For way cheaper than the material costs…better off selling the mats and buying the armor the way things are right now. Only like 2g per piece when it takes close to 3g just to make them if you bought the mats. Even if you farm the mats you can just sell them, buy the armor piece and still have some extra money, its like wtf?
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
20g for t3 cultural? The bloody chest piece is 30g…figure the chest piece is the only piece I even want out of my cultural armor… >.<
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Yeah it sucks for me especially because all I want from the set is the boots and gloves…but the gloves are waaaaay overpriced lol. Sucks for me that it had to be THAT set I wanted >.<
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Oh wow I didn’t even notice that part, on top of that, if you look in your screenshot and mine in my post here: https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/bugs/Sorrow-s-Embrace-Incorrect-Token-Prices/first#post255171
You’ll see the prices are off as well.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Yeah there have been some similar reports of that happens, or getting even less than that. I don’t know if they will go back and give people the correct rewards or not but it seems like for a lot of people the new update bugged out a little bit with that.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
No problem, just be thankful you didn’t do this with any high level runes ^-^
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Alright so there is a problem with the pricing of a specific set of the Sorrow’s Embrace armor. The one I’m speaking of is the Power/Precision/Toughness Light Armor. I took a screenshot and attached it to show, but if you look at the prices of the armor above it, then below it, you’ll see what the prices should be. The coat is only 210 when it should be 330, the gloves are 330 when they should only be 180 and the pauldrons are 300 when they should only be 210. Then the leggings are only 180 when they should be 300 tokens. I’d just like to know if this is already known and if it will be fixed sometime in the near future? I only want to the gloves and the boots from this set so it isn’t like it will balance out in the end for me. While I can go ahead and get the boots I’m not willing to throw 330 tokens out for the gloves and it is keeping me from finishing my exotic set that I’m wanting.
It helps when I actually attach the screenshot lol

You made sure to add the 2nd rune to a completely different piece of armor right? If you added it to the same piece as the first all you did was removed the old one and put in the new one. You have to have the runes in separate pieces of armor pretty much.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Actually it is a big of a glitch/exploit/bug. It is supposed to have limited range, but as long as you drop the portal under you somewhere (As in jumping off a high ledge down to ANY other height and drop the portal). Pretty sure that isn’t supposed to be intended, and that is how people really do it. The EB jump puzzle for instance is way higher than the normal range of a portal, but due to this a Mesmer can just jump down and port them straight to the top.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Is that how you got Dragonbrand to team up wit ya?
Sorry we are playing for first so we will hit JQ, Dragonbrand can keep beingkitten and playing for 2nd by teaming up with you if that’s the way they want it.
Only results in you taking the whole map like last night.
Dragonbrand hasn’t teamed up with JQ. The fog of war must be pretty thick from the CD point of view.
Dragonbrand working with JQ that is hilarious. I have been doing mostly wvw in EB but seeing CD only take a tower or supply camp from JQ every night and saying we are working with them is rich. We are not fighting for 2nd place but we are in 2nd place and JQ already has almost twice our score. It is coming down who has the biggest numbers in this matchup. Several times we had the outmanned buff last night. When JQ wanted us gone they did it fairly quickly.
Please do not post any more of this kind of talk here. That discussion is already closed and over and we have already asked everyone to stay on topic. This thread has nothing to do with the current match up in WvW and pertains Crystal Desert or future Crystal Desert guilds only.
Crystal Desert members please refrain from replying to these posts at all, and I thank you guys for the free bump but please refrain from posting here with this kind of stuff again.

It is time for our alliance to start to really push coordination on our server. To try to get all available people who want to coordinate an effective effort in WvW and not just run around like chickens with their heads cut off.
If you are a guild in Crystal Desert that does even a little WvW message myself (Sisho in game as well) or Luvpie so we can try to get everyone in together in one coordinated effort. If you cannot reach one of us or simply can’t get on Guild Wars 2 at the time you can also visit the alliance site at http://synergyalliance.shivtr.com/ and post your guild and ways to get in touch with you there. We do have a teamspeak server we are using to try to get every available person who actually wants to coordinate and get things done.
This is a call to all the guilds in Crystal Desert that participate in WvW at all, whether you be a North American guild or Oceanic. We have players from all over the globe, of varying languages and nationalities. Don’t feel like your guild will be singled out or be unable to work with us due to some barrier, join us! You want to make a difference in WvW and give us a win? Get in and communicate with us, work with our alliance even if you are only going to be in WvW for a couple hours! Every person who is following us and our plans is another person that can be far more effective than following a random crowd!
Time for Crystal Desert to make a stand!

After reading Mighteous.9281 response then looking at ALL FOUR of his posts on the forums I call Mighteous.9281 a TROLL.
A really bad one at that lol
I’ve seen all your recruitment threads so far Fubuki, keep it up. You guys seem like you have a pretty good community and I hope you attract the attention of some newer guilds and such!
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Awesome screenshot lol, way to stick it to them you guys. I wish people would actually realize this kind of thing. WvW isn’t just about points. Sure the points give buffs, but who gives a crap? Get out there and have one heck of a fight! I love it when I have a group of 10 people under me and I can hold off 30+ people without even losing anything, it is what makes it satisfying in the end.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
They made an update last night. You get 20 tokens when you finish a dungeon, and an extra 40 for the first time you run a specific dungeon path each day. Potentially you can get 180 tokens from doing each path in a dungeon. Pretty much they nerfed the “fast farms” but made it where you can still get a whole lot of tokens from actually doing the dungeon the way it is meant to be.
You get 45 the second go, and dunno about the third.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
It will also pull money off your other characters if your character AND bank are empty btw.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
If a server controls the whole map (or even most of it) they get over 2000 points an hour, nobody would wait just for the bonus points, and six hours later the server holding the whole map would have gone up at LEAST 12k points, and typically most servers can’t even take back a third until prime time, which means the big map gets many more hours before that as well. While this seems like a good idea and all, it still isn’t enough to actually help with the night capping or anything like that.
Unfortunately despite the 10-15k points they could potentially get, I still don’t think it would actually keep them close, it would just keep it from looking like they were dominated.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Sometime the guild bugs out where your upgrades don’t show, or it even shows you as not in a guild sometimes. When this kind of thing happens you cannot activate upgrades. I’ve noticed some areas are worse about this than others as well.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Every time there is a patch or server maintenance where they bring down the server the Orichalcum spawn spots always chage, every single time. As do all other nodes I am pretty sure. Also, every time so far there has been 5 Orichalcum spawn points in both Malchor’s Leap and Cursed Shore (Not sure how many of them spawn in Frostgorge). So that should help for those looking to find all the nodes.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
What is truly ridiculous is that our borderlands in CD almost always has a Queue, even though we can never seem to rally together more than 30 people or so at any given time. It is freaking stupid, and I’d honestly chalk up a lot of it to the stupid bots in the borderlands by the skritt that Anet does not seem to care to be aggressive about banning. Heck they don’t seem to be aggressive about banning ANY bots. I will sometimes see bots for days in a row in the exact same spot, even though I have reported them and know several others have as well.
It wouldn’t be so bad if we could actually get numbers to fight with and make real plans instead of being forced to defend, and the worst part is, when we DID have the numbers last night in our own Borderlands, we were “this” close to getting our garrison back and POOF like magic most of our guys lose connection and get the login servers are down error, and to make matters worse while our guys still could not get back in, 40+ JQ guys come swarming at our towers in the northern borders. How the hell is it even close to right that they have seemingly no issues with being kicked off when we are suddenly down to 10 people?
Not saying this is JQ’s fault, I’m just saying it is ridiculous.

While I am mostly looking for active WvW players, I will not turn away those wishing to do other things as well so long as they are active. We usually have at least one group of people that run at least one dungeon every night from what I’ve seen. While personally I only go with them from time to time almost every night someone asks if anybody would like to go. We haven’t done very many large groups of multiple parties doing dungeons as a guild wide thing as of yet, but I think you would have no issue finding a group in the guild for it. If you are interested or wish to know more just whisper me in game or check out and apply on our site.

sure feels good to know the union has just claimed an entire map without the help of the joke that is known as [FUN]
Ooooh you claimed an entire map in non-peak hour, how impressive. You know, our oceanic guys have done that quite a few times, even taken the entire WvW all by themselves. Nothing impressive about taking stuff during off-peak hours against servers without heavy oceanic presence. Don’t be such a jerk, not to mention making yourself look like even more of an idiot. After seeing the screenshots above you should be ashamed as it is to even say anything to these guys, especially on the forums. There was no reason at all for what you said above, no matter what a guilds reputation is. I’d help the supposedly worst guild around if they were already in a keep about to take an orb from an enemy. This right here is the reason the commander icon should not cost gold, because then people with no sense will have it, and by the time people realize not to follow them, it will be too late and the damage is done.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Just so you guys realize, in Guild Wars 1 arrows did fly further if you were up on ledges and such, and arrows CAN fly further in real life as well when firing from higher up. Generally the reason why in medieval times archers didn’t stand on a flat plain and fire >.>
The guy isn’t talking about making arrows fly over 2000 range or anything, but yeah they should be able to go a bit further depending on height.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Not sure honestly here either, I know my back piece has one of the exquisite jewels like go in regular jewelry when crafting them.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Lol do you mean ticks as he describes above or bleeds as in Bleed and Burning ticks from condition damage? If so each stack of a condition is a single tick per one second of damage. For burning damage happens all at once each second since it stacks duration. Bleeds can have multiple ticks a second, up to 25/second on a mob. Poison is the same as Bleeding.
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
Yeah they tried that crap with us as well on Crystal Desert as well, and then they ended up in third place our match by far. At least Blackgate put up a real fight over the weekend.

Sorry dunno what to tell you but I’m pretty sure that specific rune is a find off armor and salvage only. You can craft Runes of the Pirate with Tailor I know of, but I don’t believe the other two MF runes are craftable at all.

Yeah if you need anything feel free to add me to your contact list and message me. We do dungeon runs in the guild fairly often during the week so if there is a particular one you are interested in I can always check with my guild members if they want to come.
Oh btw, as to where the action is. You can either just ask in /map or /team chat and someone will likely say what is going on, or you can look for crossed orange swords on the map near stuff your team owns, since this indicates 4+ people from one team in a fight there.

Well I would love to know if you remember who it was it was that was complaining at you then. If it was a member of our alliance then I will speak with them myself about toning it down. While we are serious WvWers we try not to bring ourselves down to the elitist level and try to just make sure everyone knows what the plan is. What they have said above is true though, people are pretty ridiculous the first night after a reset. Nobody was listening to our obviously organized commands earlier and despite trying to tell them what needed to be done, they kept yelling in chat for people NOT to do what we said and attack a garrison instead for instance. Either way, I could see some of our randoms beingkitten like that too, I’ve seen a few of them out there that don’t know when to shut up. Most of us in general though just try to make sure everyone is on the same page, and personally I usually try to coordinate the masses even when my guild is not backing me.
As to upgrades, you speak to the NPC with [upgrades] next to their name and pay for an upgrade. I suggest not doing this until you better understand it, because some upgrades really need to go before others for sure to make sure the keep/tower/camp is better off. Usually the guild in charge, the guild that claimed the spot that is, takes care of the upgrades. You are welcome to donate money to someone if they say they need it for upgrades as well. I’ve become quite proud of our masses for sending me money when we need upgrades and I’m trying to do it because the guild that claimed something just claims it for the hell of it and leaves it completely undefended.
Are you in need of a guild Bolthar, someone to actually play with and not have to worry about that kind of stuff?
Leader and founder of [BIO] on Sea of Sorrows
I believe it is a certain amount of damage, not just based on opinion, but some slight testing done with myself and a friend. We were farming a specific creature for roughly an hour, and he kept complaining anytime I come to farm with him he gets less loot. Well when I’m with him I get way more loot, specifically the crafting material we were farming.
So we decided it must be damage based, because as an Ele, I have a ton of AOE underwater damage that does a ton when I have my MF gear on (We both have full sets of the same MF gear btw, so this cannot be taken into account). So usually we gather the mobs up and I spam them with my high damage stuff and wipe them. Now, we always make sure he gets a fair amount of damage on each, kiting them around (He’s a thief with a speargun) and at least a few hits on each on, and I typically take their remaining 3/4 health with my combo I use underwater for farming.
Like this, I get way more of the scales we are after. So we decided to test it. I started using lightning, which is more CC than damage really and made sure to hit less often, and guess what, he started getting more scales than me. We did this for a bit and switched back, doing this for roughly 15 minute intervals between switches. Whoever was doing most damage was getting most loot. Now, this could just be a huge coincidence but I think not personally.
There has been another situation where I came with a guild member to farm something because he said he was getting crazy drops because they respawned a lot and quickly and were fairly easy kills, now, this guy is a warrior with heavy damage build (No MF even, just a single MF booster he was using while my MF goes over 100%) So we start farming, for 30 straight minutes we go at this, and on land, an Elementalist cannot do sudden burst damage, as all their heavy hitting skills take a second to land or channel typically. So because of this, he was just ripping through them, and at best I manage to get a couple Masterwork green items, while he was getting rares, and several at that.
From my personal experiences and a few various tests it seems pretty obvious it is damage based.

I agree with what was said above. Myself, my guild and my alliance are pretty heavy in WvW but the above stuff is uncalled for. The guy telling you to move or leave due to taking up space is an idiot, and I hope he reads this and feels like more of an idiot for wasting space himself even standing there. WvW, despite what all you PvPers think, is NOT straight PvP. It is a mixed environment, designed for both types of people to have some form of enjoyment there. Personally I don’t really engage in the PvE aspects of it very often at all aside from the jumping puzzles, but there are plenty out there that try to do no PvP in WvW.
Dunno what server you are on friend but I suggest finding a different one, I know personally our home server has never had that kind of issue. I can only imagine you must be on Eredon Terrace, Henge of Denravi or another of the high pop WvWing servers.
