This was unranked solo queue, random party, not premade
We basicly rushed a point, 2vs1 against any defender, one stayed back and caped while the other went to help the middle, when finished caping, we rushed the other corner

When i play thief and i get a 2nd thief in my team its a joy, we basicly become best buddies and 2vs1 anything we find across the map.
Very few classes can have a chance against 2 d/p zerkers…
skyhammer and courtyard shouldn’t be in the unranked rotation.
courtyard 9/10 times will end with one team spawn camping the other,
why do people vote for that? its so dam boring.
i vote for coutyard all the time has a ranger/mesmer/thief
only once in this month we spawn camped the other and only once i was spawn camped. i played more than 15 games on that map this month

Some time ago i followed a Random Player in the jumping puzzle for Eternal Battleground(?)

Cele ele and engi are a lot easier to kill than a shoutbow that has 27k HP and ridiculous cleansing.

The problem right now is why aren’t the other amulets viable choices.
If we go to Metabattle we can cleary see that berseker and celestial are leading the top charts and most builds trend around this amulets.
For Defensive/condi/hybrid builds, the misture of stats that Celestial amulets give pretty much overpowers the following amulets:
-Carrion, celestial gives more DPS while giving the same amount of survival
-Cleric, same has above, more DPS while giving the same amount of survival
-Knight, More dps and MORE Survival
-Rabid, Alot more survival for a small loss of DPS
-Settler, alot more DPS for slighty less survival
-Soldier, same survival but more dps
You have to notice that all this amulets that underpowered for Defensive/condi/hybrid builds have 3 stats distribution.
For Phisical Builds, Berseker is the best choice, why:
-Assasin amulet is only better if you benefit ALOT more from Precision than Power and zerker gives the so helpfull Vitality
-Barbarian Lacks Ferocity…. and we need to crit hard…
-Valkyre lacks Precision… and we need to crit…
So… unless you build your character to be 100% condi damage or manage to circuvent the side backs of the phisical amulets, Berseker and celestial are the best choices.
That being said, the following amulets are only viable in certain builds:
-Carrion if you go pure Condition Build and rely almost entirely in your conditions
-Rabid or Rampager if you go pure Condition Glass Cannon (being Rabid slighty more tanky)
-Valkyre/Barbarian if you can get your Precision/Ferocity from other sources (100% crit chance in stealth by example)
I can propose some fix that in time could somehow fix a bit the current metagame.
If we see the trend in what’s the best choice, we can see couple trends.
-The best amulets give 4 types of stats or more (celestial, Berseker and Rampager)
-The best amulets give more stats than the others.(4 stats amulets give 2364 while 3 stats only give 2232, Celestial gives 3066…)
-Some stats are alot more viable than others and if a amulet loses a much needed stat (Precision or Ferocity for phisical builds and Precision/Vitality for condition builds)
So the fixes i suggest are the following:
-Give 3 stats amulets 4 stats, this should improve the metagame in the long term
-The extra stat should be helpfull for that amulet playstyle ((Precision or Ferocity for phisical builds and Precision/Vitality for condition builds))
-Dont steal the main stat to give it to the 4th stat…
-Tone down the average stats the Celestial gives by 38 per stat, at end we get 2800 stats of the celestial

Yeah… I don’t really want them to NERF NECROS INTO THE GROUND like they did in the past, buuuut…. when I kill someone accidentally with a locust touching them while they’re standing behind me and have it explode on them with fire + air + spinal shivers and neither of us knows what just happened, that does seem pretty messed up lol. It could use a little adjusting. :P

The only thing am scared in gw2 pvp is actualy power necro, my hp just vanishes in seconds on my zerker builds.
I don’t blame Air/Fire sigils, they don’t hit that hard, but that spinal shivers can realy hurt…

Cleary “Noon” has alot of meanings
Noon means noon. GMT =/= UTC. RIght now, Pacific Time (the one you should be looking at) is -7 UTC, but it is also -8 GMT. That means that when it is noon on the Pacific Coast, it is 8PM in Portugal (which is +1 UTC and +0 GMT). I don’t think UTC factors in daylight savings.
Either way, you can literally type “noon PST” in the Google search bar and Google will tell you the direct conversion to your local time.
Found my error, i had -7 UCT Rocky Regions when it should be -8 UCT Pacific.

There are many reasons why a power Rangers damage maybe Hindered from the choice of pet, to the amount of boons a pet gets from you or your weapons , to trait set up on a low Dps weapon can cause its overall damage to be high but slow per second where the damage is just recovered between arrows with nothing to sustain because of said chosen traits.

I have given up, am rolling a Celestial Survival of the Fitest with 4 survival skills and very long bleedings, stacking 16 bleeds on auto atack only and can easy pump 25 bleeds on burst
Am no newby to ranger, i played since launch but i decided to put my thief on a shelf and go with my old ranger to try some sPvP
I use this build in WvW with alot of sucess but Longbow/GS on sPvP is so awfull…

The small diference in the stats from pve gear to pvp amulets is so noticibel on the ranger that makes my jaw drop.
Ranger sure needs some help for sPvP power builds… i feel that unless i go full glassy on traits i won’t deal aceptable damage…
Rune of Vampirism: Updated the sixth tier ability (mist form) to activate when struck while under 25% health, and profession-specific skills are no longer usable.
Pro-tip: Open with a clone like Mirror Blade and not Berseker Phantasm, the burst is slower but you won’t overide your first phantasm with your third.
Example- Mirror Blade clone > Phantasm Zerker clone> duelist clone> zerker clone (you overide clone with zerker)
New illusions always override clones until you have 3 phantasms.
When did that change? It’s a solid improvement.
I also noticed that with the Shatter Mesmer meta, Phantasm builds are rare to see.
Ppl adapted their gameplay to dodge the shatters, wich makes sense but with this build you don’t shatter most of the time, phantasm are the biggest dps.
What tends to happen is my phantasm maul down my enemys while they wait for the shatter, long live meta!

Playstyle:
You’r a master of Hit’n’Run, you start either in GS or sword/pistol, pop 1 phantasm>do you weapon combo> change to the other weapon set>pop another phantasm>weapon combo>so long so forth
Weapons combo:
-Greatsword: Mirror Blade> Phantasmal Zerker > Mind Stab
-Sword/Pistol: Magic Bullet>Duelist > Blurred Frenzy
Both combos do ~12k dmg with procs
Distortion is one of the few panic button but you will sacrifice phantasm dps (chronomancer, we need you<3)
Only use shatter has a last resort or a finishing blow.
Feedback is how you own other ranged zerker builds #PewPewRangerAmLookinAtYou
You reach 50% hp, use ether feast ASAP! If you don’t, you still have Rune panic button to save ur sorry kitten at 20%
Moa+phantasm = no one survives
Works very well in unraked and WvW
Works very well against some meta
Skilled thiefs play with you unless you outplay then, if they make one mistake or aren’t fast enough. they die in seconds, if they get Moa’ed they die instantly.

I play a phantasmesmer since the start of gw2. I use D/p zerker since the start of gw2, i use Power Ranger LB/GS since the start if gw2.

Buff everything is just a terrible idea. Yes let’s buff everyone’s offensive and deffensive power by 1000times, so players can one shot gates in wvw and facetank the already weak pve bosses using zerker without dodges.
Please, don’t turn off ur brain. Am suggesting buffing underused skills/weapons/traits

Thats the problem, i never seen axe/axe ranger compete at anything!
Pistol/Pistol is more of gimmick than a actual competive set!
And the “meta” got nerfed, and still some sets still weren’t able to compete, at anything!
We should take a logical approach to my suggestion, Anet surely has data about wich skills are used at which game mode.
Am pretty sure that if we look at statistics we will see Weapons/skills with a very small % at sPvP.
If the game is balanced and dynamic, why are some skills being used WAY more than others (ranger/thief wise, am looking at you traps).
Is it any worth to save skill scrolls?

Say “no” to the MMO arms race. When you take the approach of buffing the weak stuff to compete with the strongest, some of it inevitably overshadows what was previously strong. In the next iteration, you buff the new weak things (which were previously the strong things) and the cycle continues. It leads to either frustrating one-shot mechanics or boring stalemates.
If something is too strong, it needs nerfed. Identifying which builds are too good isn’t hard; the difficulty is identifying what makes them too good and tuning it properly.
And with that approach u have the meta being slighty nerf but still being meta because everything else just doesn’t hold its ground against the meta.
Nothing changes except the meta became “slighty more balanced”

The only Power Creep that will happen is in couple x-pacs ahead where “core” trait lines aren’t meta and the new meta is full of elite speccs.
If that happens, that will be the Power creep, happened in gw1 where the core game was awfull for pvp if u didn’t had the new top builds with the new skills, better builds appeared basicly
By not nerfing things that are truly overpowered, but rather buffing some other things, you’re asking for a major power creep.
I agree sometimes people ask for unreasonable nerfs, but it’s important to actually not let things go too far and from time to time there are skills/specs that need to be toned down.
Sometimes you are right, like when guardian had god mode elite.
Right now, there isn’t much of OP stuff around when we remenber the realy OP stuff, remenber frenzy+hundred blades one shooting zerker with no downsides?

Basicly am going to explain my logic. Nerfing X cuz Y has no chance against it doesn’t fix anything!
In Guild Wars 1 wich had one of the most insane metas ever nerf was a band aid till the players found a new strategy with new builds.
Basicly Guild Wars 2 is following this trend, i come to the pvp sub-forum just to see a kittenload of “QQ nerf this, to OP!”
You are litteraly ruining the fun of the game by dumb it down.
You make the community! If everyone changes their ways, the game would improve since Anet listens to the community!
I propose that instead of nerfing aspects of the game, we buff the other aspects so that they may reach the so called OP aspects.
Here is a example:
People complain that d/p thiefs are to good… I seen Cry babys asking for nerfs, what if, instead of nerfing one of the few viable builds for thiefs, we buff pistol/pistol for power builds.
Other example:
Zerker eles can deal some nice dmg but their survival is WAY bellow average, Fire magic/Air Magic traits should have more defensive traits/options that fit the rush playstyle that is zerker.
Axe/axe power ranger, have u ever seen one in sPvP or even pve? he was most likely a nub that was trying out the axe,, buffs to this weapons would be very appreciated.
This may not be the best solutions but if we constatly buff the “underpowered” builds to be at a equal foot with the rest, not only we open the builds option has we make the metagame more dynamic.

I do that quite often, am a old player that never realy got into sPvP, only now i started after a 2 year break.
I get the same situacion has the OP, a r28 constatly being matched with r80 players…

OP here, i use this runes with zerker builds and in zerker builds, if you reach 20% you are most likely dead!
20% of a zerker build is ~3k HP and 0 toughness

I should also mention it can prevent you from attacking people. So if you have your enemy on like 5%, and you get knicked below the threshold, you’ll go into mist form and can’t kill the guy that’s low. Thus, they have a few extra seconds to heal up, escape, or have their allies come and help.
I mean, would you pop your mist form as an ele as you were going in for the killing blow? That wouldn’t make any sense. But if you’re using these vampirism runes, that can end up being exactly what you do.
My targets never reach 5%, they are either 50% or above or dead, if you read my post u see i wrote zerker builds.
I play around bursting and avoiding combat.
15% to cause my next attack to life steal = 1k dmg and1k heal each 25s
After using my healing skill i get life steal = 1k dmg and 1k heal each time i use my heal skill
Whenever i get struck bellow 20% i go Mist Form for 3s
Am using it in my zerker Ranger, zerker thief and zerker phantasmesmer and i feel the diference between Vampirism and any other rune miles ahead!
The burst u get from life steal is wonderfull, realy adds up to Fire procs and Air procs from the sigils.
The mist is wonderfull, in my ranger mixed with troll ungent means that i can use my troll ungent at 30% hp, get mist proc on 20% and i get the full heal, back to the fight with 60% hp and full endurance.
On my thief to reset the fight, and on my mesmer, allows me to get distance whille my phantasm finish my wounded target.
It’s the perfect Rune!
And Superior Rune of scavenging is also dam great for condition builds, why is no one using this runes like crazy?
ur making a big deal of a boon that can be removed and that lasts even less time than the average quickness boon

i used it for lulz when it’s to dangerous to go melee like big zergs in WvW or dungeons
it doesn’t work in sPvP even if u trait for initiative! at it’s prime is a support build that helps real builds to take down a target with 7k unload spam

Some builds will improve by having the new trait line, but not all of then.

Mesmer can finaly become meta with the new trait line but we have to wait and see how the new elite speccs can improve the current builds.

Guardian traps when stacked and traited can ruin someone day.
Basicly when someone falls in some Rangers traps: WHERE’S THE RANGER!?! I WANA KILL HIM!
When someone falls in Guardians traps: OH NOES! THERE’S A DRAGON HUNTER HERE!
So lets see what has been released and what tips has anet gave:
-All elite speccs will be focused on CC/support
-Chronomancer got Wells and a Shield, we can assume that no other elite specc will get necro
-Dragon kitten got Bow and traps, we can assumi that no other elite specc will get Ranger
-Necro has been confirmed to get GreatSword and since Ranger is out, Warrior or Guardian
-Engineer is getting Hammer and since the trailer show it and some anet staff winked at us, we all see flying minions and since necro has been taken, Hammer+minions= guardian
-That means that Necro is getting Warrior stuff and since its a support/CC, necro is getting either banners or shouts
-Druids are getting staffs so that means either ele or mesmer since necro has been taken, am voting for elemental cuz water magic/earth magic helps plants grow and water magic is support and druid is a support role
So that leaves us with a few choices since we rule out many options
-What will thief get?
-What will elementalist get?
To answer this question we only have to see whats left, that means engineer has 2n and mesmer has 2nd.
Since Elementalist is getting Tempest and i guess sword, we can take out engineer and that ends our logic.
TL:DR
-Guardian gets Ranger and becomes a Dragon Hunter: Bow+traps
-Mesmer gets Necro and becomes Chronomancer: Wells
-Ranger gets Elementalist and becomes Druid: Staff+"waterish/earthish" skill on staff with a nature theme, no 2nd guess on support
-Engineer gets Guardian: Hammer and “flying spirit drones” or whatever (wards?)
-Necro gets Warrior: 2hand sword most likely Ranged and either Banners or Shouts
-Elementalist gets Mesmer and become tempest: 1hand sword and Glamours
-Thief gets Engineer: Rifle+Elixirs (think support)
And by this logic Warrior gets Thief: Either Pistol or dagger and Deception or tricks for utility, i think tricks is achivable by warriors standarts
