As topic, i’ve used up my allocated 5 slots for all my characters,
and i’m thinking of purchasing more.

While 800gems isn’t a huge amount of money, it’d be nice
if we can get a sale on it of course.

Any chance we’ll see a nice Season 2 Sale Bonanza event or something?

I wish Anet made anyone whose birthday falls on that month have their head or something turn into a birthday cake lol!

Like how they did the bobblehead for everyone on April Fools.

Yes gw2 is indeed a very good game, and while it certainly has its flaws,
i would call it the next best MMO after WoW. Especially like you mentioned,
exploration is really fun in GW2.

The fact that there is no monthly subscription doesn’t hurt at all too.

I’ve also never played GW1 as i believe quite a few of us here are,
and it would have been nice if Anet capitalize on this and offer a
nice GW1 discount or package if you already bought GW2.

I believe the next Holy Grail in MMO is Virtual Reality.
Heck VR will be the next Holy Grail in entertainment in general.

Absolutely agree with OP, the storytelling in Season 2 is MILES ahead of what was presented in Season 1. So kudos to the story telling team.

I have another little nitpick, i didn’t even noticed there was a Scarlet Hologram
in the room until after I had finished the story and actually viewed Points of Interest Episode 2. Interestingly enough, even Kate herself also mentioned she missed it.
Was it too well hidden? Would be better if it was at least mentioned in the dialogue.

Other then that, yea Great New Start to Season 2, looking forward to the next episode.

I’d rather it be a Gem Store item then a Black Lion RNG thingy.
That way at least u know u can get it for sure.

Its a pity that thieves can’t use 2handed gswords though, would look perfect on an assassin.

I think it isn’t that they’re choosing Sylvari right now because they don’t like using the other races. It’s mostly because this piece of the story is centralized on either what sylvari are and Mordremoth, the plant dragon, thus his minions, the villains of this season, will likely be mainly sylvari(probably).

Absolutely agree.
Its just that we already have Scarlet who basically hogged the villian limelight
in Season 1, and now we still have to push ahead with Season 2 with predictably
yet another Sylvari villian. (Hopefully its not sylvari again though, even Kasmeer is sick of it.)

Personally, i think Anet places too much emphasis on the Sylvaris, Trahearne
being the one who basically stole the Personal Story glory, and made the players redundant.

If Sylvaris must be villian for Season 2 for it to make sense, then so be it.
Hopefully for Season 3 and beyond, less emphasis can be given to the Sylvaris.

As requested, i shall re-phrase my suggestion and feedback.

As topic, please consider introducing a Non-Sylvari Villian this time.
We’ve had too much emphasis on Sylvaris, and I think it is fair that
other races get their share at being the bad guy.

I think the Master of Peace is rather suspicious. He might not have bee the one to kill people, but he could very well be pulling the strings.

After all, he is going on his journey, alone, as he said on the story mission. And no one should ask why or where he is going.

maybe we’re reading too deep into it, but it does seem strange that
they did make a scene to specifically show that the victims were killed by blade.

YET during Aerin’s fight, he used grenades exclusively against us.

I have absolutely no problems with Dry Top and i’m even using a laptop

For someone who absolutely despise Season 1, i must admit I really like
how Season 2 is going.

In fact i enjoyed it so much, i bought some gems just to support Anet.
Good effort should be rewarded imo.

Disclaimer: This is merely my personal opinion on Episode 1
and may also contain some story spoilers.

I have had my doubts on whether Anet can pull it off after the abysmal
story of Season 1, and well, i must admit, Season 2 Episode 1 is off to a great start.
Much Kudos to whoever wrote the story.

I actually enjoyed it and found myself keep wanting to press on the story
and seek more answers. Why did Aerin did what he did? (No, i don’t like Aerin as
a character. More details below) What secrets are the Master of Peace hiding? What’s Scarlet’s secret past all about? etc etc.

I can’t believe i’m saying this, but Episode 1 actually got me wanting to
know more about Scarlet’s past and why she did what she did. And
it all ended quite well. Can’t wait to look forward to Episode 2.

Compared to Season 1, this is SO MUCH better. No more stupid busy work,
no more fixing 1 billion signposts and I actually like Destiny Edge 2.0 alot more
now actually.

The Story Journal is a great idea and actually makes it easy and nice to review thru
what we’ve done and to easily replay them if we want. Another thing I really liked
is that Achievements REALLY feels like Achievements now. yes they are stupidly hard,
but thats what they are SUPPOSED to be like.

Dry Top while a little small is pretty interesting and I do like the look of Prosperity how its carved into the mountain. Sandstorm effects are pretty cool too.

Story bits that I did not like? I don’t like Aerin. He’s such a minor character and
i really rolled my eyes when i found out that its….YET ANOTHER SYLVARI….who
caused the sabotage. i dunno whats with Anet’s Sylvari obsession, but dear god please stop it already. Anyway tis just a nitpick that I have.

So yea, Anet, if you are reading this, you’ve done a pretty good job with Episode 1,
and because of this, i will spend money to buy some gems to support this. I feel that you deserve it.

For anyone who unfortunately is unable to log in to experience this,
yes, it is worth at least 200 gems, maybe even 300 gems.

Here’s hoping the rest of Season 2 continues with this high caliber and i think we’re gonna have a winner.

I disagree. JS main theme is instantly recognizable, immediately hummable, and epic.
while MD is good too, we will have to see how good it is when season 2 unfolds.

I have to agree. I am enjoying Maclaine Diemer’s music for Season 2.
It sounds somewhat foreboding and….melancholic?
Throughout the entire symphony, I dunno, it just feels like someone important
we know very well is gonna die in Season 2.

Na, i don’t think so. In “Points of Interest” episode 1, they were talking about
having representations of real-world players (such as LGBT as represented by Marjory and Kasmeer and Disabled people of course represented by Taimi) so players can feel a real connection to them.

It would be super Troll of them to suddenly have Taimi turn around and morph into Mordremoth and try to eat us.

Why is there a need for legendary??
IMO some skins actually look better.

Think about it, what do you REALLY get when you get a Legendary?
Is it REALLY worth upwards of 3500+ gold JUST to get the below?
1) Bling Bling Footsteps
2) An icon on status screen saying you get a legendary
3) Same stat as ascended, but ability to change stat combo (Is this REALLY necessary?)
and….thats all really.

Legendaries are even more common then some weapon skins IMO.
i actually see more legendaries then eg: Jade Weapons lol!!

For people who have a legendary, congrats.
For others like me who don’t have one, don’t fret about it. Its just another Ascended skin.

They obviously want to prepare us for that, otherwise why show that video now rite?

Season 2 will probably be a prelude story and we get to ~groan~ follow Scarlet all over again.

Rewards will probably follow Season 1 format, get a few skins for select items etc.
Definitely nothing major like new races or anything like that.
Probably another 1 or 2 new landarea like Southsun.

In other words, another continuation of Season 1, just a few minor variations.

The person suggesting this assumed you had a mouse with drivers that allow reassignment (like Logitech, MS, and all the gaming mouse manufacturers like Roccat, Razer, etc.).

If your manufacturer didn’t supply this functionality:

On Windows, cnet has a link to a free app called “X-Mouse Button Control” that does it for generic mice. If on Mac, you can use a free app called USB Overdrive. If on Linux, /etc/keymap is there.

Still being able to right-click and mass consume would have been nicer.

Not sure if anyone have mentioned this, but its a little tiring to
have to individually click to consume luck / karma when you
have accumulated ALOT of them. Worse if you have hundreds of them
and literally have to click hundreds of times.

Is there an option to just Right-Click on them and “Mass Consume”??

Did a search and can’t believe no one reported this.
Whenever trying to sell any items via inventory, after about 5 items, there will ALWAYS be a message that says “Error attempting to sell”. Sometimes, trying again works, sometimes you gotta close inventory screen and try again and do it several times.

A little frustrating to see this bug when trying to sell ALOT of items from a dungeon run, hope the devs can look into this. This has been a bug since launch i believe.

if i designed a legendary staff, it will actually be a swirling ball of light (or darkness) around me when its stowed away, and only materialize when i activate it for combat.

Gotta be Warriors.

Is it me, or does almost every Warrior in the game has a bad attitude in Pugs?
Its the class i noticed that rages the most, complains the most, and even rages
when people rez them, complaining why they weren’t rezed earlier. It is also the only class that i see in parties that like to show off their ascended and legendary gear almost all the time. seriously wtf.

On a side note, Engineers are so far the most friendliest class people i’ve met.
I haven’t met a bad attitude one……yet.

Once u reach level 80, here’s a suggestion on how to gear up:

1) Grind COF dungeon for COF Tokens to buy exotic COF Zerker Gear
Zerker gear stats are: (Power, Precision, Ferocity)

2) Grind to get either Pristine Fractals, Laurels, or Guild Commendations to buy Ascended Accessories. Again, you’ll want Zerker type. Remember, you cannot wear 2 of the same Ascended Accesories.

3) Once you have been fully geared up in Exotics and Ascended Accessories, its time to customize your look. One cheap suggestion is to do a search on level 80 exotic armor pieces on the TP, then sort from the cheapest ones. If you like the look and the price, buy it and unlock the skin if you haven’t already.

4) Now you are fully exotic/ascended accessories geared up AND having the look you want, what to do? Well, you can then GRIND for a Legendary, or you can GRIND daily dungeons and fractals. Or hey even create a new Alt and repeat the process ALL over again. Or you can prepare yourself for Season 2, where you’ll fight more Scarlet. shudder

Welcome to Level 80. It ain’t pretty.

And at 200 gems per episode, that would be a total of 4000gems or 50usd.

Is Season 1 worth paying 50usd for?

Playing a Warrior alt now.

I’ve tried gsword + rifle and its really boring, using Gsword2 and Gsword1, roll out abit, use rifle pew pew and back to gsword rinse and repeat.

Now, Gsword + Axe/Axe is REALLY fun, i call it “Meat Grinder”.
Gsword2, switch to Axe2 + Axe5 and back to gsword is devastating.
Only good for melee situations though.
