That outmanned buff was because of many RoF players i think. Earlier both factions were attacking our borderland for a good 2-3 hours, but we defended well and lost nothing except lake/briar. When they gave up on our land we all moved to DZ BL. Also that PI guild with their omega at Dawns… hate it when we have like 50 people on the map but only 10 respond. Good job there but that really shouldnt have been a success >.< Still.. good job. On the other hand 2 PI sitting on my face for a good 5 minutes after they managed to gank me with 2-3… wanna duel brah :P

well when the millers zerg is all standing 50 yards to the side and watching how abaddon is killing us at our keep while they possess our 4 towers… does indeed make you think. i have not noticed any kind of that behaviour on all the borderlands (where i would agree on the judgement the general focus is on AM), but on EB its quite clear there are some german EB commanders communicating with each other and making plans to work together. this happens during the afternoon mostly, in the evening i havent yet witnessed this. also this occurs quite often in all the matchups and usually isnt even being denied, afterall its not forbidden, just painfull for us :P also EB is really boring when you dont 2v1, its just getting farmed by the one sitting in SM which is not us, as a matter of fact.

I put all PTV gear, 10 0 30 30 0 build, valkyrie gems, dolyak runes – 33k hp, 3520 armor with banner down – using “Reaper of Grenth” (human racial) to zerg dive with axe / shield and sword / warhorn, utility skills fear me, endure pain, banner of defense . nice WvW tank, easy to kill all kind of glass cannons, though a lot of builds can stalemate this if they have decent sustain, damage is kinda low. to increase damage i only use the sigil of air and stackable crit on offhand, along with buff food master maintenance oil. as regular buff food mango pie offers extra regen which is nice when you have truckloads of armor and other regens going. still, the crit chance hits 50%ish real fast when you get fury off another warrior, or you could use different buff food if you want to go above 50%. but damage isnt really important to me when im playing this build, its designed to jump in the middle of the enemy zerg, draw all aggro on yourself and then tank it for a good 7-8 seconds without taking any damage, but reflecting / retalation quite a bit of damage outwards with reaper of grenth putting everyone in melee range into panic mode.

SM trebs, golem rush, invisible stomping, portal bombing, solo-contesting, thief damage, camp buff (fixed version), glitching into gates, invisible circles, culling, lag, bugged queue, orbs..

theres a lot that should be fixed..

Nice try on our Bay, Drakkar. I got help from LA when i saw a guild flipping woodhaven and dawns in the space of 1 minute because i had a feeling it would get bad. and it did xD

I think its unfair to Xaoc saying they made Gunnar another of their projects. They came here to settle down, and a big part is still around. There was some intern twist that made a part leave, but many Xaoc are still around and pulling hard for Gunnar’s, and we all love them doing it, they are friendly and fit in very well, better then we expected. We have just not got the attribute “high population” after that part of Xaoc left the server, i really dont know how these numbers are calculated, but to me it seems we lost more people then we gained, at least in WvW. We have always been a medium server and tried hard to bring the PVE people to WvW and it also showed success. I find it noteworthy also that we had earned our first victories and managed the turnaround in T8 BEFORE Xaoc joined. Just for hour own honor :P What GH really suffered was the countless Guilds leaving when we dropped out of T2 in our first weeks. We may have lost a wee bit of strength now in the last weeks and not recruited more people either, but we are still miles away from the status we had 6-8 weeks ago. So i dont think Gunnar’s is a failed project, we are still standing strong and beating big german servers, being just out of T8 we are happy where we are, though many people say T6 would be better for us. But showing we are stronger then the T6 server who bounce up, i think we fit in this tier and a imbalance in numbers has to be expected intra-Tier too.

i was referring to the week where you did play catchup. there was extra effort of course. now you dont have to, as our numbers arent the same anymore with dozens of people leaving. also we dont have an alliance covering fsp borderland 24/7 out of some former grudge so tell me who is being fixed on something.

If GH lost the fixation with “converting fsp into loot bags” and concentrated on taking keeps, they might be able to boast about coming back from being 18k behind on a Monday to being first by the Friday, like a FSP did a few weeks ago against a certain server.

oh you mean take days off work and pull allnighters just to win a weekly matchup with no tier changes following? why would we care? any reason to? its not like we have beef with xaoc and need to prove ourselves

i build for killing power, not for metaphysics.

you should build your toon to make it strong and not have any for no reason madeup rules like “dont build around consumable” just to pass some blame, tyvm. aslong as you are the one going flat in a duel my build choice is right, end of story.

its pretty simple: the only viable warrior build (talking tanky melee) that could solo camps easily, destroy 3-5 upscaleds, be a general beast in dungeons/wvw but NOT spvp is GONE FOR GOOD. now we can have a closer look at all those 2nd hand crap builds that didnt use omnom because they are our only choice now. a lot more builds and options available.. but all of them are completely WEAK measured against the old omnomberry-warrior.

The only thing that made warriors good in WvW is gone. Now we can only be crap and die fast with our 1 heal every 25 seconds or use Rifle / Longbow. How to last in melee group fighting without omnom is beyond me.. i guess its the old jump-in-swing-abit-roll-out and wait for the heal cooldown again. bah.

so Offski you like it because it allows better zerging my words from the beginning, a fool who thinks this will do something AGAINST zerging. its designed to allow BETTER zerging.

i was just saying the guy is completely clueless, his opinion not worth a scratch and talking down to the lower tiers in terms of L2P marks him as outstanding in many ways, none of them positive.

its called progression and doing it is called grinding. since we dont have this in GW2 by definition we might have to find a new word for it, like uphill-gearing. afterall it was totally impossible to put agony resistance on regular exotic stats.. totally.

ah i think the surprise fell short because of the server restart :S it was supposed to be an unusual amount of a special class… kitten FSP.. whenever i get home i have to start at 0 red in EB and work my way back into the map. was a bit sad to see you go hit AM nonstop and only care a wee bit about anza after we built all those 10+ arrow carts in our inner keep and you only came once to test them :P well i like nothing better then to have a green map in EB so thanks for that =) feels just like back against Dzago, roaming and capping fun in an all-green environment, im enjoying myself.

Quite a different picture on the map compared to weekend. Seems much more equal now, yesterday all factions take the lead and lose it again, pretty balanced i think. To the people complaining about 20 golems in the night… well Golems are very bad when there is defenders… 1 oil or cannon and say bye to all golems. Like this omega golem you built in front of briar yesterday… hmm what. 4 Arrow carts were in range, golem never got finished :O Good fights, tonight we will have a special suprise for you AM and FSP (nothing to do with golems), lets see if you find out what it is, write it here when you notice something special and weird

This is my build and with unupgraded camps i can just walk behind a pillar which pulls every mob on me because of LoS and then swing / 100b everything to death with healing once in about 30 seconds. Blind is a pest, try to have them both trigger it at the same time by pulling both at the same time and have them trigger it out of range from you the first time. Omnomberry is of course a must.

And i’m not sure if thats just me but whenever i get a blind from scout i use the 100b. Need like 1 second to switch from regular swings and usually the 2nd-3rd hit already lands and its overall good dps. I have the impression using 100b does something to the blind.. maybe its the channel, i dont know. But i feel like its the way to do it properly.

FSP COULD be trying a bit harder to do points instead of just play cat and mouse with us – like try to hold the stuff with a few people instead of just give it back all the time and then flip it again with huge zerg 10 minutes later.. we learned from Xaoc this is the nice way to play so other servers dont get beaten week after week after week by the same server.. also what Rhymelark said, i can only talk for Gunnar’s, but i know there was a lot more people 2 weeks ago. But me myself i burned out in that time, i think all servers have less people these times, WvW participation is dropping.. only not FSP for some reason. For example look at the bottom servers, there is a lot more almost-dead server then 2 months ago. Population is decreasing overrall.

So i read the interview with Colin and they say the main reason for commander being character-bound is that they want people to get to know the name and dont have 20 different names associated with one commander title.

Soooo… why not let the player pick a commander name on reading the book?

its been a ridiculous almost 3 months since the thief thread (which followed long weeks/months of massive QQ on the forum) and nothing has been done at all.. whats the problem anet?

this is my impression from millers / fsp / gh match… i dont play this game anymore. also about your screenie lol.. its shows you fighting gunnars hard at spawn with commander and what not.. while there isnt even a fight in red parts. so you let them have it untill you cleared out gh and then went to take it because its hardly effort, probably in 30 minutes – after youve spent hours to beat down gh probably? anyways i dont want to dicuss this, its obvious to me and nothing you say is going to change my impression. also someone confirmed you got a beatdown by xaoc in your history and so i have the reason now aswell.. couldnt care much, this game is a failure, wvw is about numbers and competitive players have no place in there.. just got fed up with the lies in this thread.

FSP has been going after us since day 1 of our matchup. its clear to anyone who had the map open. i just wonder one thing: what makes you so excited about gunnars? many weeks before we had our matchup i read from FSP players often how they are looking forwards to fight us and blabla Gunnar Gunnar.. why the obsession? why taking off days from work to beat us? did you do that in other matchups too? going out of your way to focus on GH is EXACTLY what has been going on. ive never said alliance and blabla in all the other matchups, read all my posts and im not saying alliance here.. but with FSP it was very clear from the start that gunnars is special for you and you would go out of your way to ensure our defeat, even if it costs you. i just wonder why. did you get a bad beating by Xaoc earlier in your history or whats the deal with wanting to defeat gunnars so badly? not saying anything about AM or Millers, they were doing quite normal.. but FSP.. get honest.

This. I’ve already taken my leave, dont believe in Anet anymore. But it is essentially this: They are doing their best to destroy the game, with every patch a bit more. I really wonder what happened that made them lose the awesome direction of vanilla GW2 so fast and completely. Vertical progression everywhere by now and more coming, stupid daily grinding for Laurels, culling is ridiculous (how can you kitten up something thats been working for 10 years already in various games?). As a wvw player i have given up hopeing for fixes anyways.. nightcapping, orbs, everything boiling down to coverage, stealth, portal bombing.. its just sad and has nothing much to do with pvp imho.

and then theres stuff like the WvW reset that luckily got cancelled the last minute due to community shouting WTF… my judgement is just this: Sorry, you guys dont have the skills / brains (anymore? i cant believe it was just luck..) to make this awesome – im better off searching elsewhere for a good game.

couldn’t you just fix the hundreds of bugs? is it too boring to do or why do i still have glitched spots, invulnerable spots, not working npcs, not to be seen event circles.. and more, 5 months in, on only 2 maps? nothing in this update im looking forward to, on the contrary more grind for power coming to WvW too, on a regular basis you are destroying the best thing about this game, no power grind.. every update a bit more.

if anyone from the [lion] guild reads this.. you tried to get our water camp yesterday many times in your borderlands… i wonder if i made an impression, do you remember a warrior who was slightly more tanky than usual? :P been experimenting with a tank build and i wonder if you guys even noticed / what was your impression.

Yes if they want to come 3rd. Millers should be throwing everything they have at FSP imho, there is still the chance to make them 3rd and Millers 2nd. However there is surely not even a minimal chance of getting us Gunnar’s away from 1st place except with a full scale alliance that focuses 100% on GH, and even then it will be hard :P

you dont kill tanky warriors as a power necro.. they can have 3600+ armor and 5 or more sources of regeneration equalling easy 500+ health per second, several blocks and damage immunities, no way you are even going to scratch them if you are a power-based class. on the other hand they shouldnt scratch you either, tbh, because serious tankyness comes without crit for warriors in GW2.

anyways rule number 1: keep out of melee distance.

Only a WvW player gets properly steamrolled in spvp despite having played hundreds of hours against human enemies in WvW.

Only a WvW player swears never to put upgrades again after losing something, just to be walking into the next tower and seeing 250/250 supply and queueing an upgrade.

Piken, you guys only be sitting in queue anyways instead of fighting from what i heard.. . Even Gunnar’s had queues on 3 maps on weekend o_O

Great matchup. I think Gunnar’s was overrated a lot by many people because of our high points numbers. Fact is even in T7 we got our kitten kicked in prime time by the french, and this week will be much worse. Gunnar’s need to fight like lions not to lose everything in primetime, we are glad Xaoc can make up with a strong offpeak-presence or this surely would not be very balanced in points. Wishing everyone good luck and an enjoyable week, i think the rankings arent important atm, actually i dont even want to win because T4 will not be fun for us. So just looking for good fights, have fun all =)

just saying you dont spvp because its hard there and you just want to kill upscaled newbs and failing to finish them so you QQ, i know it because i do it myself, i roam solo with my warrior and i have the same issues as you. only i dont count putting someone to downstate as “winning” and i would be in deep shame to ask to remove downstate so i can kill newbs by the dozen. if you are a skilled played and looking to demonstrate your skill, you have no place in WvW, your place is in spvp. “I dont want to spvp, please make WvW for small-scale” is just this: I want to kill upscaled newbs in WvW because i get rickrolled in spvp by people with the same gear.

please go to spvp and stop asking to polish WvW for your small-scale/solo needs. It feels like you are crying because you cant finish off the 3 upscaled noobs that you encountered and put to downstate with a few swings.. those are not kills btw, nonono.

I would just want to add that IF we got new people from GMT+8 to GMT+12 our coverage would be pretty kitten solid as we are a powerfull EU GMT+0 primetime with strong coverage earlier on by russian Xaoc

We are trying hard to tear down language barriers and intergrating people from over the world into our english-speaking community. If you are ready to make an effort to get in touch with the Gunnar’s community, i am sure and experienced that you will receieve a warm welcome no matter your guild size or if your focus is rather on PVE than WvW.

why we cant have knights gear? i’m coming from WvW and my warrior there is a beast with the knights gear and trinkets.. why am i forced to build like crap in spvp? of course warrior sucks like this if you dont give them their gear..? also the only thing that makes warrior viable in WvW is omnomberry and its gone in Spvp.. so no sustain whatever for warrior except if you go shouting.. pffft! i could kill 2 of my spvp warrior sort with my wvw warrior..

i have had some duels with RoF people that transferred from GH (yeah really!) in the territory south of Hylek, where the skill point is. Its out of sight from anyone with WvW business, more or less free from monsters, and has some territory that can be interesting for dueling. i would suggest that place, also because it is EB.

i would duel any class except d/d elementalists, go troll someone else.
