Coming from a Warrior perspective here….

Tempest: Hella tanky and come with great support. Their main source of damage has a decently long cooldown and is easily avoidable. Killable if CC’d. I don’t see much wrong with this other than it can potentially kill a bruiser build, which doesn’t make sense since it’s supposed to be tanky. POSSIBLE FIX: Reduce the damage output on this build.

Druid: WAY TOO MUCH DAMAGE! This build is supposed to be for tanking/supporting, but their pets are 1) Way too tanky (especially since they can be swapped out); whoever decide it was a smart idea to make it harder to kill a rangers pet is probably on crack or something… 2) Pet damage is insane…I’m looking at the current smokescale & bristleback duo. Like, da kitten is that booty?

Scrapper: Why do their defensive abilities have such high damage output? 1) Remove damage from hammer 4, compare this trait to shield 5 on warrior and it’s pretty obvious that kitten is broken. 2) hammer 3 does too much damage for an evade attack. It’s potentially like hitting nearly a full hundred blades but with evades and you move to your target…bad idea.

Chronomancer: The hell is with this sustain? For how much damage they do, they should not have that kind of sustain. Now, their damage is pretty avoidable but still deals a ridiculous amount. I suggest changing up shield 4, as well as increase the cd on Continuum Split. Alacrity is far too strong.

Revenant: Way too high of resistance up time (this is worse than diamond skin). Reduce the sources of resistance for revs. Also, torment up time is ridiculous on this class too. Sword 3 should be dodge-able. There’s no reason for the attack to continue if they missed the initial hit. Also, the slow in their downstate is pretty stupid. Just saying. Being able to access their pets during downstate is pretty broken imo.

Dragonhunter: The up time of traps is too kitten high. Their traps shouldn’t go on cd until they’re proc’d or canceled. Also the daze should have a bit of a icd. Multiple dazes in a row…really? might as well make it a stun (sarcasm). Also, true shot hits too much for a skill on only a 4 second cd. Reducing the damage on this skill would be the best bet, but increasing the cooldown could also work.

Reaper: Too much life force gain.

Warrior and Thieves as well as their elites are obviously way under powered compared to the new meta builds, so there real is no need to change these until changes are made to the other classes/elites.

General nerf: Protection. There’s way too many sources for this currently…

I started pretty late in the season, but I’ve had no problem rising up in divisions…Of course, Warriors are currently under powered in this meta, but they aren’t useless. If you’re having trouble winning just b/c of a single class being on your team then I don’t think it’s the warrior’s fault that you’re losing.

why not? warrior brings nothing to the team apart from good damage, average single target CC, and poor survivability.

marauders scrapper is better at its job in every respect, and even has AOE heals, AOE stuns, AOE stealth, and other useful things for team fights.

having a warrior in your team is awful. it uses one of your limited slots, this is not WvW you can’t just add more and more people. you can only have 5 people in the team, and putting one of them on a class as bad as warrior is gimping the team.

warrior brings no value and has to be babysat. awful class.

Just b/c the class is better doesn’t mean the player is better with that class; and a month of practicing 1 class isn’t going to make up for the skill difference you have with a class you’ve been playing for 2 years.

had to correct something you said and that is it doesnt stop you from getting conditions. You just dont lose health when its on because i tried it again except it was a team fight and i had a million condi on me and i went from 15k health to dead in 1 sec the 2nd the 3 3/4 sec was over.

If you already have condis on you it’s not gonna stop them.

I’m more concerned with the high sustain that comes with that type of damage. High damage is fine by me as long as it’s high risk. Unfortunately, Revs get both.

Lol yeah, they do a kitten ton of damage too, tempests seem to be in the same boat however it’s either pretty much un-killable with some damage or still hard to kill with good burst.
I thought these Elite specs were just supposed to change the way a class played not just make it stronger….

Talk about sticking fingers in your ears and ignoring facts. Just go to a custom arena and do a gunflame with the zerker build (i.e. using all signets and +damage bonuses) against a celestial ele with protection up. You’re gonna hit for 16ish k.

It’s 100% reproducable so YOU GUYS stop sticking fingers in your ears.

LOL! And you have ZERO survivability! How is that broken? Dude, just give it up.
Also, you’re NOT going to hit 16k on someone with protection unless you’re extremely lucky and they’re light armor and with no toughness modifiers.
So please take your head out your kitten and actually try and play this build in PvP. In a match. Not on a target dummy.

Taking a trait for this seems fine. Maybe add a small damage increase on the trait. Should add an unblockable effect to Killshot though.

This won’t ever happen; it’s way too strong for a minor trait. Elementalists’ have to choose this as their Grandmaster trait. Maybe gain protection when brought below a certain threshold or just increase the threshold of it to 75%.

Spiked Armor also needs to be reworked. Protection needs to be added to this trait (same duration as the retaliation).

Warriors have too little access to protection. It’s pretty stupid.

Also, I think Cleansing Ire needs to be reworked. The adrenaline gain when struck should be baselined and taken off of cleansing ire. However, conditions should be removed whenever you lose adrenaline bars instead of having to make contact. Warriors are punished too heavily for using their burst skills.

Baseline Fast Hands. Replace it with “Burst skills heal you based on the percentage of adrenaline”. Should work like cleansing ire, where you don’t need to make contact.

Powerful Synergy should apply to ALL finishers.

Burning Arrows minor trait should be moved to the Arms line. Remove Unsuspecting Foe (It’s a pretty useless trait).

Move Inspiring Banners to the Tactics line.

Rework Peak Performance. It should enhance physical abilities by a %. That means all parts of the abilities are enhanced; such as the knockdown duration of bull’s charge. Reduce it’s effectiveness to 10,15,20.

Blood Reckoning should become passive. Gaining health based off a percentage of the damage dealt. Similar to the signet heal for Elementalists.

Defiant Stance should have no cast time. Also, conditions currently applied to you should heal you.

Mending should heal more based on the number of conditions that are removed. Mending should be considered a physical skill.

To The Limit get rid of that weird 25 endurance gain for allies. The base heal for it should be applied to all allies. Too weak to be a self heal. Needs to be a group heal.

Warrior is in the lowest tier as far as PvP/WvW go. I’m not a huge PvE’r so I have no idea there.
Hopefully, there is something for us in the patch in December; however they’ve been pretty quiet about anything warrior. Most likely because our class designer is a kitten (baby kitten) and doesn’t wanna deal with how fed up we are.

20k damage is not possible in sPvP anymore. This is a troll post.

I was just hit for almost 16k with Gun Flame on my Celestial Elementalist (with 40% protection boon up from Overload Air). So 20k is surely doable against enemies with no toughness at all.

They most likely hit you when you had no protection. Gunflame hits for kitten against players with the protection boon up.

There’s nothing wrong with that kind of burst. Warriors have to give up a huge amount of survivability to hit that hard.
Edit: That kind of damage is really lucky as well. Probably had near perfect conditions.

LOL camping rifle is definitely not “high skill cap”. Anything with high damage can be good when you’re not focused (yes, I watched your video).
This build would be easily killed by condition builds and anything with decent access to blinds.
This is more of a gimmick build you’d run in a scrim for a round or two.

I’ve kept discipline in both of my condition builds for PvE. The choices I’ve been stuck between is strength or arms. Discipline is too good to give up for a proper rotation for condition builds.

But I would go balls to the wall in PvE, it’s easy enough to dodge AI attacks. Go Arms/Disc/Berserker, plus mobs don’t really attack enough for confusion stacks to do the damage they need, so I wouldn’t run strength.

I wouldn’t say you’d be too far behind. Some people have grinded mastery points (which is another leveling system once you’ve hit 80), so it might feel that you’re pretty far behind but you aren’t. The mastery system gives you the ability to access certain “things” in the new maps as well as legendary crafting, perks in fractals, and more “things” in the Tyria maps.

You get elite specs through gaining hero points; either through the new maps or in EoTM. It only takes a day or two to get the elite spec since they’ve reduced the amount of hero points you need to 250. You can’t get the elite specs until you’ve leveled your character to 80 then you can begin training your elite spec.

In contrast to popular opinion, I prefer running defiant stance when running with a skill group or a large group in general. There’s so many other ways to gain healing will pushing and you’ll have plenty of burst healing from water fields and staff 4 from gaurdians on regroups. Defiant stance is a great “oh kitten” heal and you can use it to bait a bomb or jump in on a lot of damage to put out some CC.

I wouldn’t say it’s glorified…it’s still one of the best setups for warriors in sPvP rn.
Also, it ranks in the top tier on meta battle along with shoutbow so plenty of other people believe the same.

Sounds like an assassin warrior variant, build used to work pretty well in an older meta. Main point of the build was to flurry then hundred blades. Hammer/Greatsword has more use in this meta.

The only decent power build I found with Berserker was a play off the current Hammer/Greatsword meta build. Subbing the Berserker trait line in for either the Defense or Strength trait line.

No worries, and yeah cleansing ire is very difficult to play without in this meta. Actually, playing as a warrior in general right now is pretty difficult in this meta.

Bringing this thread back to the topic of the berserker and shin’s video. I think a lot of people were hoping for something more for warriors from HoT. However, berserker failed to do this. It was fairly lackluster, it brought some new traits that were decent; however the utilities seemed very weak and wouldn’t be picked over other utilities that we already have.

Fast hands has been something a large amount of warriors have been arguing for to become baseline, in order to bring something more to warriors. Which, berserker in its current state is not doing.

If it’s trying to know what to run as a warrior in order to counter a certain build; then yes, it is still a l2p problem. Learn the class through and through before you argue about the class against people who play the class through and through.

So….. it isn’t necessary in all builds then. Which is what I’ve been saying this whole time. And you’re also wrong about Fast Hands not being needed when using Ranged sets. It’s useful in certain types of ranged builds.

Useful and needed are totally different things. Fast hands is useful in every build. In ranged builds it’s not needed but can be useful to have. Everyone has been saying this however, so if that’s your argument then I don’t know where you’re going with this. As far as the melee build goes; you haven’t posted enough footage or support behind it to prove to anyone that it’s effective enough to be used in a PvP/WvW/PvE scenario.

Most warriors run healing signet, which has a decent active now. This active gives you resistance, which negates conditions; therefore condi bombs can be negated.

I guess you forgot Necros and Revs can rip boons.

If you’re failing to put up a fight against a condi build with healing signet, berserker ’s stance, and cleansing ire then you have a l2p problem and not a build problem.

I guess you haven’t fought people who just sit and wait for your Zerk Stance to expire and just hit you hard with the condis. No amount of dodging can save you from people being methodical about how and when they burst you with condis. On the other hand, Cleansing Ire is nearly always there and unless some chain stuns you, or directly counters you spec, you’re mostly likely going to get Cleasing Ire off. Whilst in Zerker stance, any build and any one can just wait you out.

How many on swap effects have less than 8s cooldown really? Rotations? Yes you are “quicker” but not necessarily “better”.
Fast hands is great for certain builds, yes but by no means needed for ALL builds.

You can use it in your Ham/GS build or your Axe/Rifle build or your Mace/GS build but it’s not needed in your LB/Ham build or your LB/Sw-Sh build. You’re just overstating it’s value because you’ve probably only been playing builds that use it.

There’s no reason for warriors not to have Fast Hands baselined. It’s a skill that ALL PvP & WvW meta builds use (I say meta because they’re builds proven to work, not someone trying to legitimize a theory crafted build). Warriors won’t become OP from it being baseline; and it’ll greatly increase build diversity.

Saying “I don’t see why warriors need fast hands baselined.” or “I can run builds without fast hands.” Isn’t an argument either.

Just to put this out there, Greatsword is one of the only mobile weapon sets a warrior has apart from sword, which is complete poop for power sets; and mobility is extremely important in both WvW (especially roaming) and PvP. I’d like you to learn about a class before you complain about a class next time.

If you’re having problems with a bunker guardian then run a condition build. Conditions are a huge counter to pretty much any kind of Guardian due to their lack of condition clears.
