A friend of mine already has gw2 set to their steam. Just do that, to get the word out.

I was able to use the beta pet, even was able to select them right from the start in the siliver waste instance.

I want to try them all, but atm, Engi is my main and I will go with scrapper, though my vote is for all.

Unsure how true this is, but seem if you complete the set you get free tickets yet there are not many in the set, so a higher cost.

I do. All you have to do is compare the methodology used by Arenanet here to that used by other companies. Balance is simultaneously very easy and very difficult. The difficult part is that it will never be perfect, so you just have to make peace with that. The easy part is comparing skills with similar effects, paying attention to bug reports, and performing rapid iteration on overused and underused skills.

It’s really not rocket science.

Well in your own sentence, not everything going to be perfect. I know from experince, that something that easy may be hard to other, and sometimes things have to be in order if importance. Depending how bad it effect game play / experience it something that has to wait. Not saying your wrong, just saying, I bet it happens that way, as it can’t be easy to just say, lets lower this, or higher this, everything has a conquance to it.

These should be changed to include Pets when you say Allies .

I’m pretty sure “allies” include your pet (and yourself) as well just like all other professions on gw2.

If it does, my mistake, when it says a allies one assumes other players .

Also, anything could change in the next 3 weeks. Friday is beta, which mean we can try Druid, which I will, I am excited to try it and raids, Are feedback could have an effect of Druid and such. Druid seem like they can pull off come good synergy in theory but we wont know till we can play around with it. Automatically declaring it useless or needs to be change before trying is jumping the gun I think.

So, how did it play. In use between solo and team battle, did you feel like you were not doing well, or swapping weapon to say your bow or sword? I just wondering if maybe you picked the wrong traits?

You might not want luck, auto applied, it use in a recipe or two, unsure of importance, but I know it there.

A discount for what, for enjoying the game for 3 years. You payed once, and that it, you do not want to pay again , or something. That all the hard work they put in for three years, and all the time to release HoT, should not be payed? 50$ us a small fee for a game expansion, and all the content we are getting, plus the added stuff down the line.

with all these good update, I am happy more then ever. New balance was not bad. Even Thief got a good boost, and she is kicking butt better then before, and HoT not even out yet. Beta weekend going to be fun to try the raids, and I already can’t wait to see what comes next.

Well … I see people asking for GW2Frequency for dungeons now, and for a very difficult content with weekly rewards I won’t blame a raid leader wanting a full asc party and I’m sure that such scenario would happen even without that tweet.
Also, PuG raid is asking for failure.

That why you do not ask pug to fight, i mean they are cute, but you should not let a dog play a game. Now me, i will just start with random players in a group, and we will win.

I usually don’t have problems with updates. There is something wrong with this one. Even the forums are slow and unreliable.
This is not typical, and I’m sure that they know about it, and are working on it.(still a response from an Anet employee to that effect would be nice)

This has happened quite a lot on patch day.

Just remember, if we have a hard time accessing the forums, then so do they, and if this is a bad result, they may post on other sits like redit first to get the info flowing, but they always try the official sources first.

What ever being added seem more then what the patch note says and this could be part of HoT too, and maybe even the holloween update that I just read about. Why has it not been updated already … it’s late afternoon in Europe right now, I thought I would be able to play around with the new skills today

If it releases at normal time, should be in a hour, well 50 minutes from now.

We have no idea what will come at a later, date, and heck, maybe they will get something better. maybe in 6 month time, a new player to HoT, will get that player slot, and only play 30$. We can’t go with what if, we can onl go with what now. If now, you still feel the price is wrong for this type a game, that fine, after 136 pages, I am not sure anything we say now will help. I am happy for my ultimate package, and I hope the game is good. I missed being here at the start of gw2, but I feel lucky to be here at the start of the expansion.
What ever happen after game release will happen, be it the same offer or a different one, but I guess you decide here and now, which you want to luck out on.

I do not whine about it. It a game, and if I have to whine about a little change, then I need some help. I will adjust, and play like normal. I may talk about if I like or dislike a change, but I see no reason to be angry about it. The changes will come, and we shall see how it goes from there.

I haven’t played in months, but I was planning to come back for the expansion but I’m not paying £35 for an expansion, especially with the price being inflated by the base game which I already own.

The price is not being inflated, it that for the expansion, and if you do not have the core game for new players, you get it for free.

Still seem like it worked like it suposed too.

Also for now, this is all speculation. The next beta should be soon, and we can give feedback and the game is release in like a month too. I know I want to try druid, I don’t normally main Ranger, but it looks like it might be fun to try.

On top what other said for the druid, they have mention they will keep an eye on the class, and most likely all of them, and try to balance where they are needed. Also, till we can play it our self, our way. We can’t see how it react in the situation we will put it through anyways.

ANet opened the can of worms know as “raids”. If you think “play the way you want” is a thing there you might be in for a surprise.

I am not worry about it, as i am sure I can easily find other player to play. more so it new, everyone going to ant to try it, and I will, win or lose. It learning.
Also we really no clue how raids will work, and I am willing to adjust, but I can’t see the “meta” being the only way.

75% still means a 25% chance to fail. Just cause you see some bad luck in it, does not mean overall you not got your 75% in the end. Also I would assume it more a bonus and not as your wild card, since it could still fail.
I do not know about the death, but a lot of boon when offer have a timer, and some things effect how long it last, and it might be though things that you see the effect with too.

I think it was easier in gw1. back then a warrior or use a bow have the same skill as a ranger who use the bow. Now each class who uses the same weapon does not. They also deced that Ele and Engi have a lot of skill trade off cause of the way they work and only allow the one weapon.
Not saying you are right or wrong, but I believe this is the reason why it not really done like gw1.

What is in place to stop people from making free to play accounts and using hacks? I have already seen people with teleportation hacks in the new stronghold map. This has to stop immediately. In my 3 years of playing this game I have hardly seen anyone with bots or any cheats like that but yeserday i saw my first real teleport hacked in a PvP match, 400 achievement points, obvious FTP player.

How do you know they are Ftp? also you can report the player and allow them to check too.

I find it easy to turn the camera with the mouse while my character fight. I done this with 6 of the 9 classes i have played with not not found it to hard to do.

so I watch a video on this finally and it seem like it be fun to try.

I can’t see a problem still. There not one reason to play one way over the other except for though elitist who want to see some kind of perfect formation. Also with worry on tagging. YOu can just easily still tag an enemy, and heal if you must. Though I still not able to see a druid in action, for all we know it might work in a way were not aware yet too.

Druids got rangers to become a part of the meta come HoT expansion, and as far as I can tell, meta in WvW, PvP, and Raids. I don’t see how anybody could make a sad face about this change. That’s a huge change from being on the outside looking in currently.

The dev did say he’s got changes coming for Rangers as well, so expect other boosts to rangers. I mean looking at rangers currently, there’s already enough pew pew, and condi tanky rangers are already fairly solid. The thing that keeps rangers out of the current meta have more to do with the lack of group support than anything else.

With druids, you get possibly the best group support available come HoT expansion. Smile, it’s time to celebrate.

Not sure how you can separate the Druid from the Ranger.

I strongly doubt you main a ranger, cause as far as my experiences go i am generally shunned from groups on my ranger, but if i mention i have any other class cept maybe a Mesmer i am in the group.

If your shun, maybe your joining the wrong groups cause I think rangers are great to have. Their pets help with pulling dmg, they have long range attack and can inflict weakness to allow my attacks to hit harder too, what not to like.

It funny, Meta really mean nothing in gw2 to me. Play how you want, and have fun and guess what, 99% of the game is open to you. I hear that some super high end things need the best builds, and I really do not know, but so far, I never been shut out of anything, so why care about what the meta is.

Seriously, now we are relegated to healing in dungeons, fractals, HoT, and i am sure it will be a forced thing in WvW as well. So much for hoping my ranger might be viable in the game as something more than " Heal, Heal, Heal".

Are not Rangers already pretty powerful, and who days you have to play what other want. You play how you want, and earn just as much as anyone else?
I freely admit I know nothing about Druid yet, but I am sure there more to it, then just what been seen.

I agree with OP I have 12 bank slots, 3 personal guild banks and max material storage and I’d love more bank slots or material storage!
What do I use it all for?
Guild banks – 1 for extra mats (new legendaries are coming what will we need for crafting them?) 1 for Exotics and skins and the last for extra minis / investments and yellows to throw in mystic forge, I like to use the MF in bulk lots and I’ll do the same when I get enough exotics stored.
My banks tabs : 2 for skins / account based exotics, 3 with crafting gear / recipes, 1 with food /potions from leveling -slowly being used, 1 dragoninte ore with Princess lol, 1 with ascended gear, 1 with keys and MF materials, 1 with gathering tools (thanks to last years frost boxes) and salvage kits, 1 with boosters and the last has the account bound extras like torches and endless potions spare skins.

I shall have to look at the cost of extra chars then as I didn’t think that was cost effective but it might just be, thanks for the idea from another poster above

figure it like this. A bank tab is 600gem, 30 slots. A player tab is 800 gem, though you can with maybe 50extra G, more or less get 4 20 slot bag so a character can hold 100 items. A player is better over a bank tab, but bank tab offer the convince of being there for all characters.

all of these limit are part in due to software and hardware limitation, too. That why sometimes it not as easy as to just increases the space, sometimes you just have to go, do I need to save this.

you do know, every slot takes up data on a server, which is then multiply per account.

I believe something may be coming, hopefully good, and the key farm limit was step one for something that next.

How can you compare somthing that ususaly took 20 min to some one playing pve H24 ?
If you actualy had a clue of what you where talking of you’d know a pvp player gets like 1/10 or maybe 1/100 of the drops you get in pve. And no you don’t kill stuff in pvp It’s pvp dude players don’t stack in corners for you to loot them and even if they did they don’t loot stuff. The point is the only moment we actualy could kill stuff was during we wait for Queues wich we can’t but that’s another thread.

And for those T5 into T6 we’d already have to at least get as much as the tomes we get/have.

And no the point of this thread is showing arenanet that a slight improvement in key drops is not going to change anything to the impact the nerf has. If you had a bit of statistic at school it shouln’t be to difficult to understand why.(unless the drop rate increase is huge)

Well we do not have any of the numbers, so we can’t say yes one way or the other. we only have our own experience and thoughts on it, no data to really back it up.
