Weird : I am playing server time (7pm) on NA Server and we usually succeed without too many hiccups.

Dragon stand is one of the easier metas to get pugs to do – with a few simple hints they get the idea of what to do.

A lot of these events are not on “farm” mode yet and many people are still grasping what to do – give it a couple of months and it’ll all make sense to the majority. The HoT Meta event maps are really well thought out and give a lot of explanations on what to do.

The VB event I have seen hit tier 4 numerous times around this server time – usually when I pop in and start a taxi chain up going. It can sometimes take a couple of rounds to get and maintain a t4 VB – but it’s worth it.

TD is a tad broken (map limits) but I am seeing pugs getting very close to completing it now- which is awesome.

AB (Auric Basin) is safely being done and is almost at pure farm mode – which is nice to see. This is a great meta event chain teaching pugs to not Zerg and do individual mechanic based roles.

The Anet team did a really good job with them (esp Mike over there !). Hopefully these new mechanics will teach people to go back and try things like triple trouble with pugs on a more regular basis. That boss also isn’t hard – just takes some coordination.

Hi All,

Quite a simple idea: Add the search function for the materials tab.
*Why: * Its really hard to find the ingredient you need to extract for mystic forge recipes.

The original amount of depositable materials has increased since the release of the game and I’m struggling to find certain a mats quickly to work out how many I may need to buy from the trading post for example. There is already a search function on the main bank tabs but not the materials tab.

Tonic Storage
We need somewhere to put our magical transformational tonics… there are so many of these tonics its starting to get a little crazy trying to find the right one.

These would include things like:
Selfless Potions, Wintersday Potions, Halloween Potions, Map Specific Potions (e.g. Monkey King Tonics), Elite Zone Potions (e.g. FOTM Tonic).

Last time I counted there are 64 tonics purchasable from the trading post.
There are many more which are account bound – that’s a lot of transformations.

How about a food store
Allowing us cooks to store those bits of recipes in progress:
Eg food/ parts- eg cookie dough etc — these are component parts which need to be combined with many other ingredients to get a final item.

Crafting toolbox
Somewhere to put all those intermediate items we are crafting before we get to the final item. It’s annoying selling a helm casing/sword component which you’ll use a few months later for a new toon.

In addition Alchamist store which would hold all Potions:

And most importantly in this area would be:
Drinks !! — somewhere we can hold all that booze we love to drink whilst mapping (it’s so much more fun doing it drunk in game with the swirly effects).

Agony infusions – all ranges (+1→ up). I have like 10 stacks of this stuff in process of being upgraded for toons.

All keys/crowbars/chan acids/auric basin keys etc…allowing auto opening of you have it in bank.

It’s funny had to use this on a pug in the group as when he joined we doubted he had enough ar.

Was funny watching him lose 12% per tick on the spot – not enough AR sorry we’re not carrying you on this one. I have seen some pugs go boom instantly when they think asking for a fotm lvl 50+ means your character got to lvl 80 so they are good to go. The AR checker is something which can be a really useful check.

You have this wonderful new class called Revenant – which has not yet mapped Tyria.
From mapping Tyria to 100% I have pretty much completed all the Tyria masterys exp requirements (okay – I’m a slow mapper: took me about 70hrs).
Was running food/potions (potion of scarlet slaying =+%15 buff on kills, haloween food +%15 on kills).
If you have a haloween gobbler – use this also for a boost (kill streak / mf / exp bonus).
Fireworks also help giving a good stackable bonus to XP.

Then add a few Arah temples/SW farms and bingo – 100% Tyria masterys.

The Hot ones – bit more complex: just hit Dragon stand after doing a few of the other meta event chains and story mode and you’ll be well on the way to getting everything nicely moving along.

Yup- it’s like there is some big background process going on.
I used to get OOMs opening guild window in guilder hollow- at least on the 64bit I’m no longer crashing.

Latest build new crash – first one on the 64-bit client so its been working great so far !
The reason I’m posting here as I couldnt email it along – but two things I did notice:

Hey,

Just got this error so are guildies – we were mapping – got a 007 DC.
We can get into character select -> select the char we was on – then we get a code 1083:5:7:1595:101.

Its a ‘network’ error – if it helps we were in Kessex Hills just plain old mapping.

Help !
Cannot use any alts either !

Its funny – they think you will be happy raiding once/week instead.

Fractals with the recent changes and poor loot based on RNG (no liquid gold or very little) is a disgrace for so-called harder content.. oh wait – its now ‘easier’ content.

They had to tone it down so the condi-meta/PHIW players could play without getting one-shot and actually have a hope of getting past lvl 50. Before if they messed up they would be dead in 1-2 shots – now it takes 5-6.

Client Crashing - Constantly

I can guarantee a OOM error by loading into lions arch > guild hall > open guild panel (move mouse whilst it opens).

It’s almost at the point it’s easy to reproduce.

I can get coherent.dll errors (by opening the trading post) a few times.

It seems there are multiple serious bugs in the latest build- that would be great if these ones can be fixed asap.

Dungeons - Good Gold/Return vs FOTM

Hey All,

We know that dungeons have been nerfed by 60% the loot – but hear me out.
Prices of things have fallen by 100% in many cases (T6 loot for example).

FOTM loot is RNG teribad and a massive gold-sink to get stuff.
Dungeons are actually ‘fun’, have good material drops and a decent end-liquid gold reward (if you remember prices of stuff have dropped by > 60%).

Instanced content with the best loot – seems to be right now Dungeons:
CM drops chocolate – that stuff is getting expensive.
ARAH drops the orian accessories – which have gone up in price > 5g each.

There are many other items which are dungeon exclusive items which are skyrocketing in price right now.

To me it looks like the dungeon nerf to gold and HoT will only keep players away from dungeons for a short time.

Looking in my crystal ball: I see a return of many players to dungeons running in faster team-comps than before. The prices of items (materials) will keep to fall as there is being so many farmed out in the near-long term.

We’re going to end up finishing our weekly raid/daily fotm and prob there will be a return back to dungeons.

Interesting times ahead ;-)
[P.S. WoW realised they had neglected dungeons in favour or RAIDS – last XPAC they apologised to the community and introduced many dungeons. Its funny how we’re following a WoW development track and history tends to have a habit of repeating itself. ]

The thief class is weak due to everyone complaining about stealth.

What I can tell is most vanilla Maps are fine – except large zerg events (TEQ/Karka)
Halloween LAB event = AOK
Hot MAPS = Crash every 30 mins – 1 hr.
Enter PVP Heart of Mists = Crash after 30s – 10 mins
Enter Lions Arch = Crash (inconsistent)

Let’s face it – ANET doesn’t actually listen to the dungeon runners who have taken a long time to get good. They have been listening to the casuals complaining about the zerker meta (aka glass cannon) – I have seen so many ideas they have implemented from LeoG (I still hate those posts).

This is just really a sad state of affairs and honestly a disgrace.

Would be interesting to see a survey of ‘satisfaction’ of HOT after a month.
Or should we call that ‘unhappy’ customers

Its the same instabilities we’ve played before just stretched out – boss hp/dmg nerfed to hell….I mean did they have to make this stuff easier at all?

Dungeon type content is dead.
RAID type content is where its at (untested buggy new stuff requiring 10 players and an organisational nightmare).

Arah P4 – high-end speed run:~20-25 mins
Arah P4 – Average Run: 45 mins

- Loot: 1 Gold + 26 Silver.
- Approx : 4 ‘boss’ chests (ones on ground) – containing ….

Blues + greens.
