But we have rare versions and acended items of the stats? And there in WvW and Spvp..

Makes no sense, is it something that will be added besides spending a crap ton of WvW tokens on them?

There sacrificing there original guild wars fan base for profit to cater to the ex wow type players who want this crap and have been whining about end game for weeks, they know its a market of millions and now they have gone against there entire design philosophy, there promises and there own reputation just for players that want a little more power and a gear treadmill like other mmo’s…..these players that will jump ship to the next game the second they finish rushing through content to whine again how there is nothing to do and no end game……

Anet are making the biggest mistake they could possibly make and its going to cost them alot, sure they may make some profit out of this bringing in more traditional mmo type players, but those players will leave in a few weeks when they complete Ascended armor and all the other players they lied to and kitten** over with this will be gone or have a very bitter taste in there mouth, spending alot less in the gem store.

This is what they should have done and this is what they would have done if it wasn’t for the whining content rushing I want world of warcraft 2 cry babies…..

Anet lied, they have gone against there own design philosophy, players took that information and invested into backpacks and exotic sets of armor and weapons and jewelery which could add up to an invested 10,000’s of gold wasted by hundreds of thousands of players….because they were lied to by arena net.

Then now it will cause gated content aswell. Another lie.

This is against everything they told us and exotics will become worthless.

Players have every right to be upset, players who want a little more power and gear grinding world of war craft 2 style are ruining the game for others because there whining for weeks now about no end game and nothing to do….

These players that will jump ship to another game anytime…

There sacrificing there true fan base to make a quick buck with traditional mmo players who dont even like the guild wars 2 design philosophy in the first place. This is going to cost them big time in the long run.

They really need to get this in the game, map spamming on dungeon maps and towns is silly, and also it would make finding groups alot quicker, just click the dungeon, auto grouped and sent to the dungeon.

Agony is for the higher level of fractals of the mists. In order to do this higher difficulty, you’ll at least need to spend some time doing the lower difficulty levels.

But you don’t want to do lower level fractals…..you just want to skip to the highest level of difficulty upon release.

Agony is a game mechanic that stops players from accessing certain content at higher levels, thats never been in the game before and is against there own design philosophy, thats all im saying on it, so dont put words in my mouth.

This topic is discussing how they have added vertical gear progession which is something they said they would not do and where will they decide to stop and how far they will take it? Is it also discussing how now exotics “armor” sets that were the best stats in the game until this new information will now become pointless and worthless to aim for?

This weekend exotic rings and the 5 gold backpacks everyone bought will become worthless and no longer the best in the game…what happens when there is full sets of ascended armor? Exotics will be pointless in getting.

Is ascended armor pointless to get because they will add legendary armor? They lied about horizontal gear and no gear grind so why not lie about legendary being the highest in the game? 6 months later they add Legendary Ascended Armor…and lvl 237…

They could continue this forever just like every other mmo.

Arenanet has said legendary is always going to be best in slot.

So if they released legendary armor tomorrow, which is a quality that already exists, your entire argument is null and void.

How far do you think Anet will take this in the future and are you also thinking why bother getting exotic armor or even ascended items if they will keep bringing out better things later anyway just like every other mmo?

It’s completely against what they said they would do in GW2.

After this and the gem store RNG gambling from halloween and possible future events.

Anets reputation has just gone down the toilet as far as im concerned. We were fool’d and fell for there lies.

This is not the Guild Wars 2 they said they would be giving us. It is more like WoW 2.

Now before you all jump all over this I know bunker guardians are too powerfull in tournaments ( apparently ) and I understand that needs addressing but what bugs the hell out of me is Anet say they want to nerf defensive builds, so why did they nerf guardians damage and offensive / greatsword aswell last few patches. Now they will probably nerf more defensive ability’s too which is what the guardian has the most of.

It seems weird they want to nerf a profession that has decent buffs, support and defensive ability’s for the group when that is what the class and profession was built around.

I have a feeling though since guardians have been nerfed in every single patch pretty much there will be more nerfs in this 5 pages of changes patch…. They already broke the guardian greatsword so half the time your auto attacking, cooldowns are very long and made symbols pretty crappy plus nerfed the hell out of retaliation. Retaliation was needed, it was OP but the rest they nerfed was over kill nerfing. I mean they say they want to nerf heavy defensive builds then they nerf the greatsword and damage of the guardian which it doesn’t really specialize in anyway…

Not sure what is left to nerf, they nerfed guardian damage, defense, cc, buff’s, greatsword weapon and skills..what the hell else is left? lol. Health? We already have one of the lowest health in the game…

Almost every single patch since before and after launch has had some sort of guardian nerf, when is it enough?

Awesome, no more thieves killing players in 2 seconds after stealthing, there going to actually have to use player skill and fight.

Now we will be able to tell the difference between good player theives and bad one’s.

Now all they need to do is fix stealth bugs where on other’s screens it looks like perma stealth, your taking damage but nothing is actually attacking you…..

A while after the first party on desolation server I noticed the mad king laughed on sound effects and suddenly re appeared but was on top of the bank house in lions arch on the roof….

I frantically started looking for ways up there but there are not any.

At the same time doors started popping up around lions arch with titles above the doors like “TREASURE” and “GOLD”, as soon as you use the doors though you end up mid air above the mystic cauldron and you get sent into it turning into a creature….

There must be a way to get to him and find out what you get? Can you find the right door?

It is time limited to about 2-5 mins after that he dissapears again.

Any ideas?

You use normal keys to open the chests yes, there won’t be an additional chest type for Halloween, it’ll simply be that the existing black lion chests have new items that can be found in them during the 10 day Halloween festivities.

And also since I’m sure someone will ask this, yes there are loads of other Halloween rewards you can earn over the course of the festival that don’t come out of these chests!

And finally, make sure to be around on Sunday October 28th mid-day pacific time, you’re NOT going to want to miss it!

Golems need small buff they suck..

Golems suck basically even with a zerg protecting you, you die in golems within seconds. Damage is fine no need to improve damage.

It needs a health buff or toughness buff or some sort of “tankyness” boost.

Not a huge one to make it overpowered but enough for it to last more than 10 seconds.

At the moment everyone I know is just not even building them anymore because even catapults are better than golems right now and at a third of the cost….ranged siege = king…

Golems suck at the moment.

Ok you guys are just not getting it so im going to spell it out for you….

The items are not the point, the method in which they are doing this is the problem.

There using casino type grab bags with an RNG based chance of getting the items, in otherwords gambling, meaning players if they want this item will either have to use a large amount of gold to get them or a large amount of real life money to get them with a complete chance based factor meaning someone could spend hundreds of dollars and still not get what there after….while someone else could spend a few dollars and get them right away.

This is gauging and exploiting the player base….sure some people will still do it and sure its just a cosmetic thing but what else will they put in the black lion chest in the future using similar methods?

Do you get it now? Its the method people have a problem with. They chose this type of method, they could of chosen a different method and still made money, but they didnt, they chose this method……if they will use black lions chests like this now, is this how they will be used in all holiday and festival events? What else will they throw into BLC’s as random gambling casino chance items? Legendary’s?

You may laugh and think dont be silly they wouldnt do it with legendarys…..why not? Its just cosmetic…..you see what were getting at……where will arena net draw the line and say ok thats too far…..

Learn to read peoples posts for what they are and be objective not make up what you want, quote what you feel like and only see what you want…..

Why is arena net going down this route of skins inside black lions chests? Why not make them part of rewards for event chains? Or scavenging? Or Jumping puzzle rewards? Or a zillion other ways instead of this creepy sales tactic way of ripping off your custormers?

Its still cheap sales tactics and a lame way to do halloween items using casino lottery type grab bags with RNG luck dependent on whether you get what your looking for.

Iv seen other MMO companies take there cash store down these roads before. It did not end well for players or for the company’s.

I feel sorry for AR and BT servers at the moment, free server transfers have broken WvW balance, right now deso ( my server ) are winning almost 100% of the map because RUIN instead of staying on there US servers are now clogging up EB and borderland maps.

Eu players on an Eu server cant even play WvW even in there own timezone and now can’t even play at night time.

If it wasn’t for free server tranfers deso would not be owning almost 100% of the map and RUIN guild would not even of come here clogging up our server WvW que times.

Please go back to you own server, your just stopping players on deso from getting to play WvW while your just getting no challenge or balanced fight in WvW anyway which is why you jumped servers to get an easy win in WvW….

Arena Net please do something about free server transfers it is breaking WvW.

RUIN aren’t the ones who started making us an effective night presence, that would be IRON and their dedication last week to pulling all nighters.

While RUIN have definitely helped it’s pretty much been a server wide agreement that we needed to be a bigger night force.

RUIN didn’t jump servers to get an easy win. If you actually listened to what they say, RUIN came here because they know tier’s 1 and 2 have huge nightcapping presence, they knew we had a good prime time presence and with them covering the night and us covering the day, they might still have keeps from the night before there when they come on.

RUIN came here to make us a dominant 24/7 presence against the other 24/7 servers, yeah it’s getting them an easy win this week, but it won’t do from tier 2 up..

All RUIN are doing is stopping eu players playing on an eu server, and stopping eu players from playing in WvW. Thats all there doing. There doing it for an easy win breaking WvW balance and if server tranfers were not so broken and were not free they would not have even moved to deso server.

I really hope arena net stop free server transfers and make it once every month only to stop these whole guilds jumping servers for free wins crap. Plus the exploiting and silly 24 hrs crap.

What gives IRON and RUIN the right to decide for the whole of deso server and clog up all our WvW que’s making it so noone can even log into WvW? Most players will now just leave server or stop playing because of this, guilds will get fed up and losing servers will just stop playing too…..your actually causing damage to WvW and competitivness, not helping it.

Also these are the sort of players RUIN are bringing over to deso server….direct quote…

“please leave for another server so we can bring in the rest of our players kthxbai”

WvW que's blocking progression

Part of this game is to get your legendary weapon, and you need badges of honour for that to get gift of battle.

These are only available in WvW. So if you cant get into WvW due to que’s for hours in Eu timezone, and you can’t get into WvW during US Timezone either…..

Then WvW que’s are blocking game progression in GW2.

I already have my 500 badges so im not too effected apart from the fact I cant even play WvW even at 2am on an EU server which is kind of stupid…..

Just seems like a really silly system that needs to be given another look at.

I used to play late night and early morning on desolation server in WvW, ruin guild has completely ruined that now as I can not even get to play WvW with 2-4 hour que times….

Dissapearing Pirate/Orr Ship Cursed Shore

In orr on cursed shore map just under the writing harrowed sea just off the west coast of the map, I was swimming from the south towards it and can always see a pirate / orrian type ship in the distance at the location I just described.

But if I try to swim towards as I get closer it just vanishes instantly and dissapears. I have been able to repeat this many times. It doesn’t appear to be an event and is spooky.

Then I try’d again on another day and this time the ship was at a different angle in the distance facing out to sea but had gushing water behind it, but as I moved towards the ship just vanished into thin air and the water went back to normal. There was nothing there.

Jumping puzzle gate room camping

There was a camping guild with about 7 ballista and other siege weapons up there in the gate room when I went in today at one point. I got out and built a trebuchet just at the start of the puzzle, few hits and all their stuff was done for, got a few kills too.

Stop crying and deal with it.

I would love to see your magical treb that can shoot through graphics to the other side of the dome above gate room where there placing the arrow carts so they can’t be sieged….. from that angle….lol

Could not have explained it better myself, the whole way this situation has been handled is appauling right down to the changing there statements, to lack of communication or waiting a week to give us the simplist of responces.

Arenanet said at the October 1st 2012 update:

“Ancient wood, Orichalcum Ore, and Mithril Ore nodes respawn rate is now tied directly to characters and set to respawn one day after your character gathered from it.”

Now it’s….

“We made some changes to the respawn timers on the resource nodes so that they only respawn once per day. This happens based on our server time at 00:00 UTC, which is 5:00pm PDT and 4:00pm PST, not based on when you last harvested them, which may be why some of you think you are seeing varying respawn rates.”

This nerf to ori ore was implemented on the game almost a week before anything was even mentioned about it from arena net. It was never in patch notes when it was implemented and they keep changing there responces and reply’s and reasons for doing it.

The whole situation was handled terribly and now there deciding to keep the ori ore nerf and even further increase the divide between players, now some will have to play longer to reach there goals where others got to exploit or do it within weeks in easy mode.

Why are the general players constantly punished for behaviours of exploiters? Personally I think its just to nerf gold income and increase the game’s in game time.

Jumping puzzle gate room camping

Like I mentioned, you CAN keep moving while in a combat, I saw one guy jumping backwards through the puzzle while he was under a constant arrowcart fire for whatever reason and go through, someone else used the engineer rocket thingies. And yes, rangers atleast CAN aoe the arrowcarts on the dome and destroy it. Just having arrowcarts or catapults up there are not enough to kill people usually, or if they are, the people were probably glass cannons anyways.

Sorry wrong again. With 6+arrow carts on you 24/7 your crippled constantly, even with condition remover you are crippled constantly. Even with swiftness while in combat and crippled it is impossible to make those jumps.

There also firing through the roof of the dome like I said before meaning you can not target them or hit them that high up, and even if you could reach that high, which you can’t with any skill in the game, you still would not be able to fight them. There firing through the roof of the dome wth arrow carts.

You CAN aoe the siege that’s placed on top of the dome in the beast room, you CAN still make the jumps even if you are in combat, people have managed to do that while I was watching from above. Some people actually managed to be in stealth for the whole way past that section and become visible when they reached the upper platform (even before this rendering issue). Also greetings from SFR. If you find that specific part of the puzzle camped, come back in another 6 hours and try your luck again. Like someone mentioned, if you keep providing us a constant stream of entertainment, it’s not like people want to move away from that spot.

On a sadder note, a member from a Kodash guild called SRSS or RSRR or something like that got kittened about the situation obviously, saw him no-clipping through the ground and attacking us before this latest patch. Sadly I was too baffled to take a screenshot of him, but he was a guardian with dungeon master title (just incase anyone from that guild happens to read this post.)

Sorry but your wrong. Constant combat agro and constant cripple from a ton of siege and arrow carts from an area thats too high up to target with AOE. There building them on top of the roof thats about three times further than max aoe range….also there attacking with arrows carts through the roof of the dome through the small holes and cracks.

I’m going to tell you how to deal with this room. I’ll quote what I wrote in another thread.

Find a Mesmer or two. If one can’t pull all the people down by himself, then 2 Temporal Curtains back-to-back will. This works through walls and LoS. You can also use a Thief and a Mesmer to double-pull people 1 at a time. Or an Engineer and a Mesmer. Or a Guardian and a Mesmer. It’s definitely way harder to do with a Guardian or Engineer, but it’s possible.
Grenade Engineer or Longbow Ranger can also do massive damage to anyone at the top that is sitting on a siege weapon.

I also really like the idea of a trebuchet placed near the start of the puzzle.

We try’d portals and pulls…..your not getting it….it dosn’t work.

They are too high up 2-3 levels above the dome roof….you cant target them, you can’t portal up there, your spammed with 6+ arrow carts so you can’t make jumps and you have no way to fight back what so ever….

There using holes in the dome room to fire arrow carts so high up you could stack 20 characters on top of each other and you still would not be high enough….

I would like to invite a arena net dev to come to EB jumping puzzle gate room, on desolation server and see for yourself how camping this room with siege or even without siege is completely overpowered and there is no way to fight against it or make any of the jumps with combat agro.

You can not defend, you can not attack, you can’t do anything against it in that area of the jumping puzzle.

It needs sorting out plz. Come see for yourself at the moment there is 20+ of us in the gate room trying to get to the campers and we can’t even get close….

Come see for yourselves and tell me im making this stuff up….

Currently camping it with siege for hours now against 20-30 players with no way of stopping them from SR server^^ There also using arrows carts 2-3 levels up and firing through the holes of the high up dome….so you cant even attack them back.

Rich ori nodes are also still giving only 3 ori ore….and 1 hit of pick before being destroyed.

They even nerfed rich nodes to normal nodes yet there still called rich….

Nice, so stealth nerf on badges of honour, now they have broken the jumping puzzles on borderlands and kodash guilds are still perma camping eb gate room puzzle…..

So zero chance of badges now.

The trait in the radiance tree, trait number 12 is not currently working or giving any improvement to signets.

Perfect Inscriptions – Signet Passive effects are Improved.

There is no improvement or change when you select this trait.
