Your doing it wrong, your meant to stop all supply from getting to them, then you attack until they waste supply repairing…

Then you win and take tower / keep.

I am constantly getting kicked back to character select screen which I means I have to keep re que’ing for WvW.

I am also getting lag spikes where my skills dont work which is getting me killed….

No it is not my ISP, I checked.

Can we please get a dev responce on this topic.

Is it based upon who does most damage? Doing alot of damage? Has the drop rate been nerfed?

If the first question is yes than it needs to be changed. Badge drops should not be conditioned on who has most damage or only if you do high damage. Thats just stupid.

The real problem here is invisible enemies. Give their algorithms time to match servers properly.

Its not just in WVW, same thing happens in PVE zones and towns, a players a just a few feet away and I can not see them at all.

lol I lead deso server on EB map pretty whole past 2 days with no sleep and we wiped map of all AR and GH upgrades twice, held and fully upgraded stonemist for 48 hours and we win fights where we have 10 vs your 30…..and lower odds.

You guys have been epic to fight though attacking SM every 5 mins and retreating. So far deso has had to deal with treb exploits, wasting supply exploits, keep lord exploits, orb exploits….friendly npc’s attacking our siege bugs, and the list goes on…

Yet were still winning, if you guys want to team up together against us even though its very well balanced match up right now. Two words. BRING IT! :P

Its ok even with GH and AR exploiting with orbs, trebs, keep lords etc, server transfers wasting supply and the fact they have teamed up against desolation, they are still losing. :P

Hopefully they stop the exploits and fix bugs soon.

Well after 48+ hours of holding stonemist fully upgraded with no sleep for 2 days leading desolaton as much as I could, we wiped the whole map this morning in EB and reset all of GH and AR upgrades on everything.

But we finally lost stonemist due to these exploits. We took it back but all the gold spent and all the hard work after 2 days of holding it from being attacked every 5 mins only to lose it because the enemy is exploiting with trebs and using them to hit stonemist 24/7 when we can’t do anything to hit those trebs.

Also they have players wasting supply on purpose and without supply holding stonemists is very much harder. These server transfer exploits need to stop in WvW.

Some of the trebs there using are inside the guild claiming roomkitten We sent squads of players to kill the trebs with AOE but there too far deep into there main keeps or towers that you can not counter those trebs. Even with siege of our own to counter t we can’t hit them.

So holding a fully upgraded position in EB map in WvW is impossible because of treb exploits where they build 4 trebs in perfect safety in guild claim rooms and too far to hit, and just spend an hour hamering on a wall and not even attacking. Over and over.

Oh well, has been fun battles anyway, all of there stuff is weak now because we reset there upgrades and now GH and AR arekitten because there have now allied against desolation lol.

WvW sound bug

Getting this still in WvW, lose all sound in game and is replaced with a pulsing siren type sound.

I know alot of people who get this bug and now its started crashing my game.

Have to re que for wvw everytime and makes helping leading a server a pain in the butt.

Plz fix this bug. Thanks.

Don’t play in EB if you want organised WvW, it isn’t going to happen as all the players that never listen always queue for EB.

Sorry but this is rubbish.

We are holding stonemist for over 30 hours now. Me and others have been leading past 2 days and have seen awesome players, listening to objectives, helping with upgrades, working together and we pretty much won EB yesterday.

We also took first place while the borderlands are barely holding what they have….

Sorry but can’t agree with you saying EB is not the place for organised WvW….thats just complete kittens.

Hehe sorry I got my own guild But send me a mail in game and we can chat.

Basically we just AOE attacked there trebs from the walls and it is 100% impossible to hit the trebs in there overlook keep because the trebs are too far back.

This is an exploit for a few reasons….

1. It keeps stomemist contested 24/7 and you can never stop it. So this makes it an exploit, unable to stop them contesting a waypoint 100% of the time? Yeah exploit…

2. They are keeping the wall at 0% health all the time because of these trebs and we have no way to stop them. We can not even target those trebs that far back in there base.

3. They just keep building more, 4-5 of them inside the base and they drop a wall in minutes with no way to counter…..that can not be intended gameplay for WvW….

4. 24 hr server transfers are crap and need to be removed for WvW. Players are sending there guild member to another server for a few days to exploit and take supply and waste enemies supply from there towers and keeps forcing enemy team to lose.

5. There using server transfers to cause trolling in team chat, make teams become dis organised, start giving mis information and wrong intel so the enemy can attack one thing and have us be at another location….

6. There are too many more exploits to list with this….

Arena Net please address these issues.

Right now gunners hold are using trebs in saftey and unreachable at there main keep on EB map to constantly hit the walls 24/7…..

The trebs can not be destroyed as there far inside there keep.

Im sure I read here that this is not intended and is an exploit.

Also either GH or AR servers are sending players over with server tranfers from there guild, to waste supply on purpose in the hopes to exploit and get us to fail….

Seriously Arena Net plz sort out these exploits.

Well iv been leading / helping lead desolation server now for almost 24 hours straight in WvW, except for a 1 hour break earlier in Eternal Battlegrounds.

We worked really hard and managed to get stonemist fully upgraded, and are now in process of taking the entire EB map.

Now I call that good organisation and team work Even had players helping out with golds to get upgrades.

Were now winning and just past gunners hold.

Well I just led desolation server for 12-15 hrs. After all that time objective complete and we now have stonemist walls and doors fully upgraded and we managed to win most of our fights against RA and GH. Was very close with stonemist a few times but were now holding it for almost 12 hours.

During EU GH put up the strongest fight but then in US TZ RA became very strong.

Has been epic 16 hours of WvW. Best since beta.

People just need direction and thats what I try’d to give today and it seemed to pay off, awesome communication today and great organisation.

I have almost 600 kills in WvW, only 200+ badges and 50-100 of those is from doing jumping puzzles daily….

So either im very unlucky or they nerfed badges of honour drop rate. I hope they bring back getting them from keeps and towers.

To get a full set of armor with badges or some weapons or to get 500 will take months at this rate.

With the drop rate it is now, every 500 kills your lucky to get 50-100 badges….

I really hope they gives us more ways to get badges. Like for taking keeps and towers…..

The biggest issue besides servers using world transfers to cheat, bugs and exploits in WvW is whether its an EU or US server, as soon as they go to sleep, there “night shift” time zone is what dictates who win’s WvW.

Winning WvW should not be based apon who has the most numbers while everyone is asleep, who has the most number of players on the “night shift” = who wins WvW.

It should not be like that and im sure Arena Net did not intend it to be this way. Solution and suggestions? I have a few but there not very good and have flaws of there own so for now I dont really have any.

Hopefully Arena Net can find a way to solve the “night shift” problem in WVW.

Im getting them like 1 drop in every 10 kills if im lucky. Sometime less.

Have they nerfed the drop rate, we dont get them for taking towers or keeps, we hardly get them for kills.

Only place we can get them 100% of the time is in jumping puzzle chests which breeds pve in WvW pvp…

During EU timezone we actually take 50% of the maps on desolation sometimes…..problem is every night this week while were all asleep, all our hard work is gone and VS take 99% of the map with a massive player number US Timezone on an EU server.

Now they have had all night to upgrade fully everything to the highest point, what took us 6 hours to take 50% of the map back and struggle up hill fighting all day will now take us 12 hours because of all the massive supply they stock piled in the US Timezone on an EU server. Then add how they took back all 3 orbs over night everynight with no defence…..= OP.

Now a few days and nights later, each night that goes past it gets harder and harder because of them having a massive US timezone. We spend half the morning trying not to get spawn camped.

We actually win most of our fights against VS and FS. FS and Deso do not suck.

Winning WvW is not based upon who is the better server or wins the most fights, or who does better. Right now the system is broken and its based upon who has more players at US Timezone when everyone else is asleep.

Im actually thinking the reason Arena Net announced a server has been exploiting server transfers, I bet you 10000% that VS has been exploiting the server transfer system and american guilds have been jumping onto the VS server at night time to keep them winning.

If it wasn’t for US Timezone VS would be losing right now, thats a pretty obvious fact. During the day we take back almost 50% of the map from them, thats when they have 3 orbs and a huge amount of upgrades and supply stock piled.

Now take away those 3 orbs, and the upgrades they got in US timezone, now take away the 1000’s of supply they stockpiled in US timezone……we would easily take 75%+ of the map back off them.

VS are winning because of there US Timezone numbers, which could be due to exploiting server transfers, not because there better at WvW….

Also exploits.

FS and possibly VS have been using a fly hack…..yes im not making this up a fly hack that they are using to steal orbs. Was reported and source is from the french gw2 official forum.

So there you have it, VS and FS have to cheat to win. WvW system is seriously broken right now and arena net need to sort this out.

Seems to me that games these days care too much about the casual player.
Gw2 is ultra casual, no real progression or enticing reward system very easy skill system where you gain every wep skill by lvl 10.
I don’t know whether i want gw2 to do well at all because i don’t want other company’s to keep rolling out these care bear games
I wish companys would just consider the hardcore players you know the type of players that go to game conventions , make youtube videos, spend hours playing these games and try to be the best they can be in any game they play.
There is more of us than you might think ^

so my question to the community is this. Are you sick of games being to casual ? or maybe you prefer games designed for more casual play?

I love GW2 but I have to agree with you, it feels way too casual and more like a console xbox generation game. I don’t miss the old mmo system mechanics but I do miss old school style gaming. ( Im talking 25+ years )

Any monkey could play this game and win spamming 1-5 skills. It is way too easy.

Dungeons use a token grinding system, which is an old style mmo system which should not have even made it into the game…..plus there not diffilcult.

I mean what happened to working things out for yourself? I remember dungeons where you had to wait and see and work out the enemies weaknesses for yourself…..now we have tooltips above there heads telling us exactly how to kill each enemy….

Enemy does this this this and this…..there basically telling us how to beat any enemy on top of the enemies head…..

GW2 for me anyway = Easymode gaming. Then play a thief = Super easy mode gaming

Op your are completely correct, also stealth is broken on this profession to the point you can just perma stealth in this game while doing damage. There is an exploit to stay stealthy when taking damage and when doing damage, also where you don’t appear on the other persons screen but you are actually out of stealth attacking them.

This profession is so overpowered and so easily exploited yet arena net lock any topics anyone says anyhing about it, they still have not balanced the profession or commented on it. They just delete posts and lock topics with lame reasons.

Makes me laugh how players come rushing to defend the thief and keep it overpowered for aslong as possible.

Whether you want to believe it or not thief needs fixing, being able to take damage and do damage while invisible is broken and not intended, being able to finish players while invisible? yeah right OP…

Little effort spam a few skills, instant kill. While invisible OP.

Its disgusting anyone trys to defend this profession when everyone knows it is completely overpowered and the stealth mechanic is broken and not working as intended.

Makes me laugh that arena net are locking topic and deleting posts of some players but when other use personal insults or break forum rules they dont do anything.

Funny that. Arena Net need to make some changes and make a statement about the thief. This can’t be what they intended for pvp and the thief.

A couple of times now I have been attacked by a thief while they are stealthed and they do not break stealth when they attack.

By the time I can see them im already dead.

Also they are able to finish you while they are invisible.

Being able to kill someone while invisible and being able to finish them while invisible and being able to kill somoone that quickly with very little effort while they are unaware there even being attacked….

Sorry but that is overpowered and can not be what Arena Net intended for the profession.

Another fight that was 1 vs 1 I used stun breakers, dodge, knockback, immobilize, knocked down, damage blockers, and still thief had enough intiative left to spam kill me in 2 shots while constantly in stealth.

Sorry Arena Net it’s ruining pvp in spvp and wvw. Please fix this profession and fire what dev is keeping it this overpowered.

Is this going to be addresed or looked at because it’s ruining WvW.

You can have a 100 players running towards you and you can’t see them until there right on top of you.

Computer settings has nothing to do with it, it’s on the servers end.

It makes scouting or trying to defend alm ost impossible when you can’t even see the enemy players.

Is this true? Someone on GW2 Guru forums is claiming he exploited up to 900+ gold using this exploit and that now Anet have removed the ability to create the legendary sub weapons in mystic forge.

He also claims that many players have been using this method.

6th post down explains what he was doing and what he reported to arena net.

The economy is already messed up nothing is worth anything and if you sell 90% of items on the trading post you actually make a loss…..

When will Anet start taking the economy and exploits seriously? Right now you can not sell hardly anything on the trading post for anything but a loss…..making the trading post pretty pointless when its better to just sell everything to the merchant….

I really wish they had not launched the game until it was ready.

There was no changes to Thief.
In regards to your statement.
1.) Thief was interrupted? On his Hide in the Shadows?
2.) Broke immobilize twice, therefore hes may be using poisons, stun twice, therefore hes sword pistol.
3.) “If you can see him”? Albeit that thief can go Stealth, your previous statement tells me he is using Devourer Venom or Infil Strike which uses one of his utility slots. Also there is a 3 second CD on going back into stealth. Assuming he had blinding powder and Shadow Refuge he only has three abilities that stealth him. You supposedly interrupted one, since interrupting his Hide would place it on a short cooldown.
4.) When a thief attacks out of stealth he is no longer stealthed. And the same 3 sec CD is applied.

What it sounds like to me is that the Thief is using a haste S/P build and just burned you down. This however is easily countered by
A.) Dodging
B.) Stun breaker
C.) CC’ing him. Guardians have good CC.

Your mis understood, we tested this as mutiple professions……im sorry but no profession should have the ability to kill another profession in just a few seconds…

Its plain and simple OP. No profession not just the thief any profession should not be to do it.

Also if you bothered to read, we used dodging, stun breaking, cc’s and interrupts. Once those were on cooldown….thief kills any profession with full health spec in seconds….

Also the thief was invisible sometimes while attacking….so either its bugged or not working as intended….or it takes too long for them to come out of stealth…maybe the cooldown to go back into stealth is too short.

Just to test the ability of how quick a thief could kill a guardian with full health spec and loads of stuns breakers / interupts / blocks.

Thief was interupted twice, guardian broke immobilize and stun twice…..blocks damage twice, dodge twice……….still dies in seconds…..and that’s IF you can see him and IF you know your being attacked….your usually dead before you can even do any of the above..

While the thief was still invisible most of the time….

Please fix Arena Net, in WvW it’s alot worse.

I mean warrior with gs is still OP but atleast you can sort of counter it or if your lucky and not immobilized / stunned get away from it. If you are stunned or immobilze with everything on cooldown then bye bye dead in seconds….

With thief its just ridiculous.

I don’t think any profession should have the ability to kill any other profession in the game in just a few seconds…..

Its just not balanced.

Playing WvW as normal……and suddenly get a pulsating siren type sound instead of game sound…..it only happens when playing WvW and happens almost everytime me and my friends play WvW…..

Forces us to shut the game down and have to que up again for hours to play WvW. Most annoying bug in the game…

It happens every single day, every single time we play WvW and forces us eveytime to quit the game and restart….

It also sometimes does a full on crash locking up computers completely….

Please fix this ASAP…..WvW que’s are bad enough by this bug is just killing any interest in WvW we have.

Warrior and Thief have the ability to kill someone in a second if you blink dont dodge or are stunned / immobilized, your dead. Normally your dead before you even realise you are attacked or dead before you can even react or move, especially if there is lag on the server. I honestly think no profession should have that kind of power or ability in the game.

Do any of the other professions have the abillity to kill someone in a second? If they do they should not be able to do it. Right now pvp is not a balanced playing field until those ability’s are taken away.

This goes for all classes and professions, noone should be able to kill someone in a second or two…..no matter what they did or didn’t do, no matter what the circumstances, noone should be able to do it….

Please make it fair and balanced, right now it is not….

Having same issue can’t complete mission. Managed to blow up all the towers, cleared the beach of the undead and double checked everything in the instance was dead.

It never completed. Bugged.

Any items that were lost due to in game bugs will not be replaced by arena net, after many support tickets, 21+ days, constant auto responce and ridiculous replys I finally got them to comment on it.

I am extremely dissapointed wih Arena Net Support and this pretty much shows they will just ignore the issues try to get you to give up and then try to throw them under the rug and close your tickets. Even after that they will just not resolve the issue. Some of the reply’s I got from them were just plain ridiculous and was obvious they had barely even bothered to read my support tickets.

Condition damage is the most over powered damage in the game, not only does it have what you already mentioned but you can also kill someone after they kill you, then add that condition removal is kinda sucky in this game and putting on 25 stacks of multiple conditions doesn’t take long at all…well I agree it needs balancing.
