Skipping this patch completely, ascended was always rushed and poorly implemented, have no interest in ascended weapons when legendary weapons are already in the game and SAB is just a money grab by the 1 life crap and gem store continuation coin…

So contrary to what they initially claimed (that Ascended was planned all along), Colin specifically states in that interview that Exotic WAS supposed to be final tier and Ascended was added because they underestimated how quickly people would get Exotic.

Ignoring the fact that people like being able to get max stat gear quickly so they then only have to worry about aesthetics, here we have proven that ArenaNet did outright LIE back in November, and that Ascended WASN’T planned prior to release.

Yep they lied and it’s taken them 12 months to finally admit what everyone was saying all along…

This is just from some karma anet sent me for free for compensation…does not even include the other 2+ million karma i blew a few days before with 102% karma boosts.

Millions of karma turned into hundreds of gold and obsidian shards with very little effort because karma was so easy to get, plus with 103% karma boosts if you have 10k+ achievements you would pretty much get back 75% of the karma you used to get the orrian box’s, so you could repeat this for hours if you had enough karma to start with.

I am in the exact same boat. Since start of the game I have not missed a single achievement in the Living Story part nor during the special Holiday Events. The Invasion Canceler Achievement is the first one I didn’t get. For the most part, because you could not really track which map was missing and because each try needed about 45 min of time (let alone not having disconnects).

What really grinds my gears is that we were told that the Invasions will keep on happening, only less frequent. I specifically checked that beforehand to decide how much time I have left to complete the achievement. I had assumed that the Clockwork Chaos Achievements would stay as well. Guess I was wrong.
ANet should try to improve their information policy here…especially if we keep having so much temporary contend.

Since the Invasions still keep on happening I would really like it, if we could still also complete the achievements tied to that. As I understand it, we can’t do them anymore since they have been moved to the “historic” tab.

I am pretty much done with Anet and there achievement heavy fluff patches that are buggy and broken. Not even going to bother with temp content and fluff patch anymore.

Arena Net’s idea of increasing performance is adding adjustable settings/options to things that either should of been in the game at launch or just adding adjustable settings to things already in the game…

So increasing performance means being able to turn stuff down and turn off other stuff?

Erm no, all they did was give players the ability to turn stuff down or off. That is not increasing the performance of Guild Wars 2…not even close, that’s taking the lazy quick way of saying,

“here there ya go, here are some options because we can’t be bothered make performance better so here are some options to turn everything down so it runs smoother”

There you go we did some performance boosts to GW2, you see how much smoother the performance is now you have turned everything off and down? Amazing isn’t it….WOW what a massive performance boost, we are really good right?

Basically they didn’t really do jack or really did the bare minimum of giving adjustable options that should of been in the game already a long time ago…

Just to put it in even more perspective, a game that is in pre pre alpha just released a demo that is more optimized than any actual live online pc game out there right now….it uses all cores of cpu, 100% GPU loads while using 100% GPU memory, uses 8gb ram minimum and is 64 bit….because of that it has more poly’s and detail than any other game, and puts less strain on the PC while giving good frame rates because it is making full use of every inch of your pc hardware spreading out the work load.

That was the first version of a pre pre alpha demo on a game 2 years from main launch, and they have not even started fully optimizing it yet, that just off the bat…

That’s how you increase performance by allowing players to make FULL USE of there PC hardware….
Not by barely using 30-50% of the players PC hardware available and giving them adjustable options to turn stuff down…that by the way are usually in most games at their launch…as normal settings you would have in any game anyway.

Don’t worry even if you had time to play the content most of it was bugged so you could not complete the achievements.

Anet didn’t even bother to fix it before the next fluff patch was out so they just archived all the sub forums for clockwork chaos even though there were loads of topics still unresolved and people asking for answers…but can no longer post in those topics..

Whereas people who didn’t complete it early get:

10 Laurels + Ascended mats.

ANet should have had a check to see what players had already completed the monthly and given the ascended mats to the account via mail. But that’d require actual thought and consideration, and that doesn’t generate gem sales, so we can see why they didn’t.

So lame, getting sick of the kitten poor implementation of Anet’s buggy and poor quality mini patches.

Since I and others can no longer post in the old topic and still did not receive a response because it was archived. VERY disappointed you would shut down and archive the queen’s jubilee and clockwork chaos sub forums when there are loads of topics still completely unresolved..

Same thing for me except for sell orders, I removed one stack of 250 item from the TP, removed the sell listing but didnt give me back my items.

Are you having the problem of the Trading Post telling you to upgrade to a full account as well? If so, those two problems are related. Hopefully it will be resolved soon and all lost items refunded.

No I have not had that problem.

Did you try to close out the game and log back in and check it? If you have lots of stuff to pick up you’ll have to grab it all in case anything is back logged but not showing up. Otherwise they don’t do anything about “missing” items.

I have try to log out and close down the client, I have nothing else to pick up.

Even more people are saying their codes they got directly from arena net are not working, they said they are already used even confirmed by support…

Seems like someone got hold of mr sparkles codes before arena net gave them out and is now selling them on ebay. Which is why they are coming up already in use, they have been sold off..

It’s not just gold either I just lost 250 items of something, just vanished, didnt sell didnt go to pickup box just vanished when I removed the sell listing.

mr sparkles codes are being sold on ebay for a lot and im guessing someone got access to the codes before Anet gave them out and is using them to sell on ebay.

I had 250 giant wintersday gifts selling on the trading post, I clicked remove on the "items I am selling " window and it removed the listing but the items did not go into my pick up tab.

The trading post swallowed up my items and I never got them back. They did not sell.

How can I get these items back?

I have now lost 250 giant wintersday gifts.

The living story “fluff”, it is not content, it is joke so I call it “fluff”, is just so they have an excuse every few weeks to dump more gambling and items in the gem store. Also to keep gem prices high so players think it is worth buying gems with real life cash to sell for gold and then buy anything they like off the TP, instead of ya know actually playing the game.

This whole game is focused around pushing players towards the gem store and that is pretty much the past 12 months of GW2.

It’s not the same Anet anymore that people remember from GW1 and it never will be, we got tricked by clever PR and Marketing.

Now go make anet some more money and gamble your money away on the gem store and then still not get what your after because it’s double and trippled layered with more RNG gambling in the mystic toilet.

I completed all of these back when they were part of living stories in the past, hoping to never have to do them again. Now they are back under the activities tab….and even more grindy than before….

Are these activities staying as perma content and we have aslong as we like to achieve the achievements? or is it like most other things in the game where we have to do it within a certain time frame and rush rush rush?

So basically unless you went to germany, and decided to spend money in the gem store through more RNG gambling in the store, then decide to go onto a 2nd layer of RNG gambling in the mystic forge, your screwed, or dump loads of gold into the mystic gambling toilet….

This is not the same Anet anymore, im done with them.

Heavy RNG as well as Heavy Gambling. Whether with gold or RL cash….that is what GW2 is now. This game had mutated into some other MMO, this is not Guild Wars 2 which we were marketed and shown for all those years, this is some other MMO.

Keep gambling your money away and feeding this crap, nothing will change.

He is right. The achievement is bugged.
I did it 5 times in a row. Nothing. I kill Chomper first, prevent him from grabbing any meat. He doesn’t have the buff for the all fight, and in the end, I don’t get the achievement.
I spent more than two hours on that because I thought I did something wrong. And when five times in a row I literally WRECKED them, and did not get anything, I was sure it’s bugged.

And he is also right about the poor game design, the bad coding, and I may add the rushed and untested content. Every patch needs at least 5 others patches, and it doesn’t always fix everything.

He didn’t say anything about that. He just thinks that being immune to immobilize is somehow a bug.

You talk so much crap, try reading the actual post before making stuff up.

I mention all types of CC randomly sometimes work and randomly don’t work. Its bugged.

Then add all the other bugs with queens gauntlet…and the crappy camera
Then add sometimes the poor design where he throws meat right on top of the pet…
Then add the “looks like a bug” where meat is thrown in rapid fire mode….
Then add how alot of it is based on RNG / Luck and not on skill level of the player

Then add when you finally do the achievement even with all those failed design issues and bugs, you don’t get the achievement because guess what? The achievement is also bugged!!!

Why would I manage to complete tier 3 last boss and then complain about an easier boss fight?

Think about it…

This has been the most buggiest content and patches to date as well as heavy client crashes effecting a lot of players. This is just another example why patches every 2 weeks is a bad idea. We are effectively still beta testing the game every 2 weeks…

Finally did it with my warrior. Not fun at all and horrible content, terrible camera loads of bugs, hardly any skill required just luck and lame cheap lazy mechanics. terrible content.

If it wasn’t for the dodgy camera, terrible design and bugs would of done it a lot earlier.

It’s definitely a bug because sometimes CC of any type works and sometimes the same types of CC don’t…

Then you have how often meat is being thrown is extremely rapid to the point it looks like a bug, as well as meat being thrown right on top of chomper making the achievement stupidly RNG luck to get.

Chomper is ignoring CC, immobilize, knockdown he is just ignoring completely and keeps on moving like nothing happened.

Also meat is dropped right on top of chomper so its instantly eaten making getting the achievement impossible.

I logged into my >>ALT<< character today and saw a new mail from Arena Net giving me a free WXP Booster, I realised it was soulbound on aquire so I logged out and logged onto my MAIN character which is my WvW character for WXP, problem is I can not see the in game mail with the free booster on my main character.

I can only see the mail on the character I logged first in this morning….

How can I get the free booster onto my main character? Its still in the mail on my other character, I can’t accept it because then it would be soulbound on the wrong character and I can’t get the mail on my main?

What to do?

I just got a in game mail with karma kegs from Anet Support, ty for bothering to sort this out. It didn’t quite cover all of what I lost but it was a pretty huge chunk of it anyway.

Ever since last patch the game is randomly and constantly giving serious crashes on the client.

It happens with no warning.

I just wasted an hour doing an invasion event about to kill scarlet and POW another game crash…

No recognition, no reward and no achievement or loot…

This is why bi weekly content updates IS A BAD IDEA because you can’t test content properly in that kind of time frame…

Sick of bugs and crashes wasting my game time and getting nothing for it..

So looking at this thread, you spent 1 million karma after your first post saying you spent 2 million karma? After spending the 2 million karma, then complaining, you still spent another 1 million? Not making much sense.

I didnt take into account the karma consumables I used after the update after spending the karma on orrian box’s and getting more consumable and then using those up to. In total i have used up over 3 million karma worth in karma consumables AFTER the update….meaning iv lost a crap ton of karma because of this Anet foul up……

We’d kicked on a booster early this morning and as they logged in, my guildmates expected to be able to use a boosted month’s worth of karma consumables like we do every month. Instead, we get patch notes with the nerf handed down to us. A lot of them just went ahead and used them ANYWAY, swearing about stealth nerfs under their breath. One person had over a million karma in consumables that they went through after the patch – how are you going to ‘mitigate’ that? They’re even more kitten ed off now.

Best solution I can see is to temporarily allow boosts to work on consumables so people can use them up if they want, then turn it back off.

That doesn’t help those that already used millions of karma up AFTER THE UPDATE and are now screwed…

This is totally our fault, we dropped the ball on this plain and simple. We planned to have this messaged ahead of time to be fair to everyone, communication broke down between those who knew it was supposed to be messaged, and those who were supposed to message it and it simply didn’t happen.

As game director this is ultimately my fault first and foremost, and I’m sorry for those who potentially lost some karma as a result. It is our policy to message these kind of changes ahead of time with lots of warning, I’ll do everything possible to make sure this doesn’t happen in the future.

I’d recommend not using your karma consumables yet, give us a day or two to try and see what options we have available to help mitigate the issue.

What about those who have used all of there karma consumables AFTER THE UPDATE that they have been hoarding in the bank for months…

Just completed guild rush with my guild and did not receive the guild chest rewards that pop up on screen usually after completion.

I completed the guild rush again to see if it would fix but again did not receive any rewards.

I agree with OP sick of these mini fluff games being passed off as content with cheap one hit dead mechanics.
