Looting after death

Please can we be able to loot after death in WvW?

So many times due to lag or instant spiked death have not been able to loot before we die only to see 20+ loot bags or loads of wooden chests sitting there that disappear before we can run back to get them.

Can we either have it so they don’t disappear or a much longer timer for loot to stay there or can we have it so we can still loot next to us after death?

WvW Bug – Garrison upgrades are stuck / bugged

Reinforced doors according to npc are upgrading but it has been stuck on that for 3+ hours, supply is full and no bar saying upgrading on top right corner of screen.

Garrison is now bugged and no upgrades will work…

Obviously that is a pretty big advantage for the enemy.

Theives/Ele’s more survivability than guardians?

When are Anet going to fix these balance issues? How is it even possible after all this time that thieves and ele’s have more survivability than guardians but seem to keep damage, speed, cc, crazy boons and heals on top of it aswell? Don’t even get me started on constant stealth and spam to win broken initiative…

Shouldn’t it be if you build yourself for crazy survivability you sacrifice damage or other parts of other builds? How is it they seem to just do everything above average with crazy survivability?

Then of course after forever fighting them if they start losing just cloak, ride the lighting, mist away….no risk…

So they don’t even have risk or have to commit to the fight can leave it whenever they like with no issue…unlike other classes.

So how can Anet call this balanced? Anet sucked at balance for years in GW1 and one of the reasons they gave for having crappy number of skills in gw2 and no secondary profession mechanics was because it made it easier to balance….

Well I think that ended up being completely wrong because Anet is still sucking at balance now for 12 months in gw2 as well….

Playing on my warrior alt and noticed whenever I kill underwater with my spear, it increases my harpoon weapon master achievement but does not increase my spear weapon master achievement.

This is a bug yes?

Unable to complete spear weapon master with this bug.

Since the dungeon keeps bugging out and is not able to be completed can we get additional time to complete the achievements please?

Every single time we try to do the dungeon the NPC bugs out and gets stuck making it impossible to complete the dungeon.

We have tried every single work around and it still does not work…

I agree that the cooldown in comparison to damage and available counters is way too low for ths combo.

Those are such easy kills and unlike other classes don’t take long.

How about we complain about the thief moving too much, eh? I mean everyone already kittened stealth to death and now that we have something to work with you guys come one here again to complain about it.

If every thief agreed to just stand there and die for you for an entire week would that satisfy you and the crowd you indirectly assotiate with so I don’t have to come on here and see, “OMFGTHIEFKILLDME! NERFIT!!!@#RC”?

For kitten’s sake, this kitten is getting old.

Has anyone here complained about Thief mobility? I don’t think so.
People here are complaining about the fact that Thieves can just mash tkittenutton continuously and steal a whole profession mechaninc and putting it at his advantage.

Do we have any ETA on a fix for when the dungeon starter/leader leaves or get disconnect the whole group gets kicked out of the dungeon, losing all progress in the dungeon and rewards.

Any good counter to stun+mind wrack+blurred frenzy?

I try to use stun breakers and dodge when I think they will start spike but never seems to be enough time to hit stun breaker and dodge as they have multiple stun before it takes me from full to zero health, does insane amount of damage with no easy way of telling when they will cast it all or when it is incoming….gives almost no chance of enough reaction time.

Any other counters to it?

Watch for leap then stunbreak away. You can both see the mesmer teleporting or just wait for leap’s sound…and it’s far from impossible to do since pretty much every decent player easily dodges shatter combos…even if you bait them with leap delaying diversion and mind wrack trying to make them waste escapes…if ppl (And not talking about ultra pro or something) easily do it in tpvp it means it can be done…problem is…are you able to do it?

When it’s 2+ mesmers focusing stuns and immoblize on you with mind wrack and blurred frenzy stun breakers and dodge don’t help you…

Even with 2 stun breakers is not enough…

It depends on what class you are playing. If you can’t dodge the clones when they come at you, either use a damage immunity skill (mist form, endure pain, block skills, etc) or a mobility skill to clear the distance between the death zone and you. Most classes can escape using a blink/dodge skill. Even necro can get out of it if wurm is out, or if they’re in spectral walk.

What I think is happening is they call target on one player, dump all stuns and immobilize on them, then hit mind wrack and blurred frenzy which equals instant death with no escape…insane damage. Especially with 1-2 mesmers.

Focus next target and it’s repeatable on quick succession with a short cool down when using a specific build…

Repeat and rince.

Just struggling to find a counter to it as stun breakers and dodge isn’t enough to counter it and almost no warning when it’s incoming so reaction time is like zero chance.

So you want a counter to counter the counter against bunkers? For the most part these thieves are still squishy they die just like anything else just in a less stealth like manner. Bunkers on the other hand can’t kill anything so…yeah countered.

f you want a sort of boon dealing machine as opposed to a boon stealing machine look to the mesmer maybe O.o? Chaos storm as well as full runes of lyssa with signet of inspiration to cover for you? A little nullfield play to quell the thief and his stolen boons? Maybe a arcane thievery > signet of inspiration combo to reapply those stolen boons? Trait for boon removal on mind wreck to eliminate the boons on the thief completely? This could quite possibly be a reason to run a double mesmer comp maybe? Mesmers peels for the guard with moa and such? Guardian feels like a warrior now? O.o

The most realistic strat you would probably use out of all that is the chaos storm on top of guardian to get some breathing room as well as a short application of short lived boons that are essentially useless in terms of stealing. Null field could find some play maybe?

But yeah Aoe/Dps/Focus fire is the counter to counter the counter against bunkers. That or buff mesmers boon stealing/elimination/application abilities even moreso.

Being able to steal boons and spam steal boons means the thieves survivability and damage goes way up from all the boons they steal on top of stealth….

The spamming of it is the balance issue because of quick regen on initiative they can just spam it constantly with no counter to it. Then add how it negatively effects team work and team play because your actually hurting your own team now because of boons.

If they wanted to address the bunker problem, they would make Larcenous steal only protection, regeneration and vigor.

Right now it’s on the OP side, because it steals 2 boons (ANY boons) and is totally spammable, hurting classes with long-uptime long-recharge boons the most (e.g. Warrior’s signet of rage). Bunkers, which generally have boon spam on low recharge, are affected by sword Thieves the least.

The only way to fix this garbage is to make it rip (not steal, just rip) a single boon, and only if it’s protection, regeneration or vigor. If it’s not addressed that way, a far worse nerf is incoming.

Been noticing this a lot now where thieves can just spam boon steal with http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Larcenous_Strike

Now it requires 3+1 initiative to steal 2 boons and it’s not blockable, now because of the no cooldown broken intiative regeneration system in Guild Wars 2 they can spam boon steal in spvp matches.

Within seconds they strip you of 6+ boons and give 6+ boons to themselves and there is no counter to it other than DO NOT USE BOONS….

Now you have no idea when you will be coming up against boon stealing thieves but it is happening more and more often, there is no counter to it other than do not use any boons or give any boons to your team….which is not a counter…

It is negatively effecting team work also, as was suggested by player feedback that was not listened to by anet how your actually hurting the team by giving boons to them or hurting yourself by using any boons what so ever…so you become completely useless to your team and also actually hurt your own team by helping the enemy through boon stealing…

It needs some serious looking at and balancing because at the moment the balance is completely out of whack with it being spammable and with no counter towards it…

Balanced Classes Finally

I disagree, so many things wrong with balance right now still after 8 months.

Also just had a D/D Ele holding cap point against 4 players and killing them all because they still have crazy amount of boons, heals, invul’s, escape skills with still enough damage to take people down quickly enough…so you have to trait for boon hate and then your useless for anything else…

Don’t even get me started on thieves and mesmers…or underwater ranger downed skills or….many many other things that suck in GW2 when it comes to balance.

This happens when I try to join keg brawl, I get a pop up window saying….

“Guild Wars 2 has been updated. Please exit and relaunch it. (Code=164:53:3:585:101)”

So I do a relaunch of this client and it does it again…

Any fix for this is keg brawl down or not working?

I imagine because of Chinese law that the gw2 shard for china will be completely separate from the gw2 world servers.

Does that include the global economy aswell which the chinese servers having their own market trading post economy?

Do you think they will have transfers still to usa and eu servers?

Anyone know this was coming? I must of missed prior info on it.

Normally with a lot of games, online chinese severs are cut off from the rest of the other countries in the world as they do not allow chinese citizens to play online with the outside world, so they usually have there own server networks that other countries do not have access to. This is not for all games but for most I have heard of anyway.

Now im wondering if this effected why we can’t play euro’s with usa servers all along, and it’s not a hardware issue like has been said before with their backend infrastructure.

I am also wondering if this is why they would not have an asian themed section in the game for a continent or for the section they removed in divinity’s reach? Since some of the reasons for blocking an online game in china can be like “Damaging the nation’s glory” “Threatening national unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity” “Disturbing social order” “Violating basic principles of the Constitution”, for example they banned a command and conquer game because it smeared the image of china and the chinese army.

Either way doesn’t look like it would effect much since EU can not play (WvW,spvp, dungeons etc) with USA servers and vice versa’s anyway. The only thing that may be effected is will chinese servers / players be allowed to transfer to EU / USA servers or vice versa? Or will the chinese severs be cut off from transfers completely?

How will this effect the global server economy and trading outpost? Will the chinese have their own economy seperate to everyone else?

How do you think this will effect GW2?

Auto Balancing because of rage quitters...

Please do something about auto balancing after players rage quit…

Top player on match, winning by 200 points, enemy player rage quits……auto kicked to losing team at end of match….

Victory stolen by auto balancing….

Winning…
Enemy rage quits
Auto balance kicks you to losing team
Lose game

Repeat this for almost every bloody match…

Please fix this or make it so once you start a spvp match , your character is stuck there no matter what until the match it over….

Please stop these rage quitters from ruining spvp matches because of the stupid auto balance system.

Counter mesmer using heavy retaliation

Here are a few counters:

1. Single large hits
2. Conditions (condi necros, caltrop thieves etc)
3. Boon stripping (as you mentioned)
4. Minions (you let them do the damage instead)
5. Quick burst (retal gets more powerful as the fight drags on)

Large hit didnt work for me, the mesmer would just not go down
Conditions they just removed
I don’t have any boon stripping on this profession
No minions
Quick burst also not enough to kill them and hurt me more..

Counter mesmer using heavy retaliation

What’s a good way to counter mesmers with heavy retaliation?

Im not talking about removing boons, because alot of professions have no way to remove boons, so how can we counter it?

Confusion + retaliation mesmers do alot of damage, only choice is to not attack them which is auto win for them…

I can remove confusion from me easily, but because they sill have retaliation up almost 100% of the time, they tank like crazy and if I attack them I die…because of 15-20k retaliation….so my only choice is to not attack….while they still do heavy damage even without the retaliation….

How is that balanced?

You can’t attack them without killing yourself from retaliation, and they still do heavy damage even if you don’t attack them when retaliation is up…either way they win…just by running that build giving them an auto win…

So is there another way to counter this im missing besides not attacking / removing boons since I do not see those at decent ways to counter…I dont even see that as a counter at all…

This doesn’t even include the clones aswell…

Armor Skin Duplicator

Allow’s you to copy one set of armor skins per use without destroying the skins armor or stats and is available in the gem store.

So once you collect a set of armor skins you never have to aquire the same skins twice!!

For example, you spend over 100 gold on T3 Armor and you transmute it onto your berserker gear, a few weeks later you want to have the same T3 armor skin but on your cleric’s gear, you don’t want to destroy your berserker gear and you don’t want to take the skin off your berserker gear either . I don’t want to have to farm the stats and skins all over again.

Well no worries for you! This new gem store item will allow you to do both!

Keep your berserker gear and t3 armor skin while copying it to your cleric’s gear, saving you from having to farm another 100+ gold and another set of berserker stats or destroying skins or armor to get a different look or stats.

It’s not giving you anything you don’t already have or have not already worked hard to get, it’s just allowing you to not have to farm or collect the same thing twice just to change your looks or stats….

What do you think? I would buy it.

I think almost every player has come across this type of problem and would benefit Anet to make money from it at the same time as solving the problem. Plus it’s just a cosmetic copy of what you already have collected.

And that’s pretty much your only options as of right now for groups….

So if your not mesmer or warrior, you won’t get a group. That was every listing up to 30 mins on gw2 lfg europe as of right now….

It’s getting out of hand, I really hope they nerf cof p1 soon. I run it just like everyone else but that is just plain silly….

It’s almost impossible to get a group for p2 or p3 for those that want them, i don’t usually run them unless a guildie needs them, and even path 1 if your the “wrong profession”…

Also hardly anyone is running AC anymore so getting groups for dungeons has become a chore or more effort than it’s worth…

Guild groups is all im pretty much run with now simply because the game has gone to crap when it comes to running dungeons. It’s putting me off running them completely and im not the only one.

I think almost all the dungeons need a complete change soon. I never had a problem with AC after the changes but for some reason noone wants to run AC anymore…

Some people are just being completely silly with this crap, you can do fast runs of cof with any profession….it the difference in seconds that is cause for so much elitist crap?

Ac takes 2 mins longer than before on noes we can’t run it anymore…!!11!!

I did a casual speed farming video, run takes around 13 min not including cart.

Can farm 1 skin per day with 8 characters plus loads of chances on boss chests for skins.

Just had 12+ commanders on one pve map in same event….not only is it horrible to see 12 of them on your screen but it also completely clogs up your mini maps aswell.

Are WvW Commander books not for oh I dunno WvW? Should they be restricted to WvW use only and not PVE?

Was not so bad at launch and few months but now its like 15 commanders in pve all in the same place..

How long until it’s 50 commanders?

Ok recreated this loads of times now, I have tested with all types of items of all stat types, any weapon, armor or jewellery exotic and ascended, if you drag any item directly from hero panel window directly to any EMPTY bank slot the game will crash with serious error.

Any item drag, from hero panel to empty bank slot = serious error crash, tested this with all types of items from hero panel and was able to recreate the crash many many times exactly the same way.

At the moment WvW is becoming stale, especially at higher tiers. Why?

Because the whole system is based apon capping, night capping, ninja capping.

Except for a very few awesome WvW guilds, 90% of guilds are just avoiding fights, going for ninja caps or capping only things that have no defense, or night capping and then logging off WvW during primetime…only to night cap again…

Fighting has become stale and boring or heavy skill bar lag on server side.

Please change the way WvW server points are obtained, capping has taken away the fun element of WvW and most just avoid fights for easy caps and easy points, personally I do not see this as victory or a decent system to show which server actually deserves the top spot.

Right now most of the higher tier servers are not winning because they are good at fighting but because they night cap or ninja cap everything avoiding fights whenever they can… this might be tactically clever because of the silly system we have for WvW, but it makes for very boring gameplay and it’s not fun…

Bring the fun back to WvW please, im sort of hoping that with this update we shall see a complete overhaul on how WvW server points are achieved to make it more fun and a better reflection of which server is actually the best WvW server, not the one who just night caps and avoids fights to get points…..that’s not winning…that’s using a broken system to your advantage…

Please do not make capping points and avoiding fights the best way to play WvW, this needs to change for WvW to become fun and survive in the long run.

Also more medium and small goals for non-zerg players would also bring more life back into WvW.

I have been wondering about this also with the meta event chests.

Sylvari starter area : Jungle Wurm
Asuran : Fire Elemental
Human : Shadow Behemoth
Norn : Frozen Maw
Charr : ?? No chest for meta event or no meta event with chest?
