There are many reasons this wasn’t addressed when Alpine was brought back:
Players were genuinely nostalgic for Alpine. Virtually all demands were just for Alpine to return, with no changes. There was no outcry that it was important to change Alpine to prevent spawn trebs before bringing the map back. Had we made a change to the layout of citadel to prevent this, perhaps we’d just be seeing a different set of angry threads, those mad that "we made a change that nobody asked for, dumbing down the map and removing a perfectly valid tactic. "
We were attempting to bring the map back as fast as possible. Players wanted to play the map immediately. Our timing for releasing on 5/3 was already extremely tight. Fixing this issue would likely have caused us to miss our release window and postponed the update for another 2 weeks.
This goes along with the previous points, but it wasn’t on our mind. We were just focused on bring the map back as fast as possible, in a state as close as people remembered it in.
For the last 6 months, I’ve been told daily by players how great and well designed ABL is/was. This was our opportunity to see if they’d still feel that way, or think ABL needs additional work just like DBL.
It isn’t/wasn’t something that needed immediate fixing, like a crash or an unconquerable objective. Players played with this exploit for years, and still had really fond memories of the map. If it turned out to be a big issue when the map was reintroduced, we could always fix it in a later release.
Since it’s clear that this is a big concern for players, we’ll fix it.
No, this is not a big concern. The big concern is you put this old borderland back in rotation This border is 1 of the reasons wvw got in the state it used to be, dead. You already made changes on the Desert borderland making it easier to navigate and whatnot and now we are back in 2014 all over again.

I had to watch 10 mins of your latest stream just to see. As suspected I found out your idea of “ton of fun” is a few 3v1 ganks and running halfway across the map at the mere sighting of any thing else.
Watching your own VOD all I saw was dead map save for 1 blob and a few soloers.
Also currently on MAG getting ready to go into prime EBG is queued and bls’ are boring ours is full green.
Ty Anet! The numbers don’t lie. There will always be whiners but the core of your wvw players prefer Alpine. PVE has no place in wvw. Since the change the fights have been much more abundant. I’d be happiest if they just rotated desert as an EoTM map and let the ktrainers have their paradise there but this is a step in the right direction.

Same applies here, its a pvp area and you can and should kill everyone with a red nametag.

That site. It’s basically just the same players, not even that many of them, posting the same repetitive trash talk every day. Frankly hardly any of it actually has to do with the current matchup outside of “X – server ppt’d so hard last night.”
I don’t really see many threads get deleted. I see some get closed / locked, but it’s pretty understandably so in most cases.
Mods should warn the writer of the thread and let him edit whatever is wrong in his/her thread post rather then delete it entirely. Unless people are being really nasty in the thread. If theres a discussion going on it should’nt get deleted.

People — don’t be ridiculous. ~rolls eyes~ I don’t see where “all the threads” are getting deleted. Not even “most.” Probably fewer than one in a hundred, and only with cause.
In this case, I temporarily removed a thread about what a player called an exploit, as we do threads of that type. I mean, if you think about it, leaving up a “how to” to a genuine exploit would be foolish. In under five minutes, I got the answer I needed from a dev and I’ve restored the thread.

I see people post critical threads about the alpine borderland and they get deleted, even tho people are discussing the subject and being civil, yet there are several threads here about how good the alpine bordderland are, how does those benefit this forum but the critical ones dont. Its so biased.
Edit: Yes, that makes sense. You dont want people to further exploit something but threads that are discussing a change in the game gets deleted, let the writer edit whatever seems wrong rather then just delete it entirely.
Please, ive played too much of this border before and this grass and snow is so depressing, we need sand. I miss sand between my toes and asscrack. And for the love remove these ruins, they’re so pointless and ugly. Give us a shiny big castle for that extra pve or a giant sand castle to play in. Why did people even want this depressing border back its so stale.
EB is “empty” beaquse people in EB refuses to join TS, Vabbi people or new people in general. It’s hard for a commander to command and organise something serious when EB is full of people refusing to join TS. So they command on borders beaquse theres 3 borders and the queues arent as long. So it’s easier to organise with people who do join TS. If you prefer small scale fights and whatnot you can roam on borders.

Yes, you are queueing to a map with blob fights going on, its gonna be full, only EB and this border was queued at this time so you couldve joined 1 of the other borders while in queue or stayed at that border beaquse you dont seem to like big blob fights.
We are starting to see a lot of feedback threads pop-up and the WvW team appreciates everyone who has taken the time to write up feedback and create threads. Feel free to create your own threads as well, but if you have feedback on a specific topic for which we have created an official thread—like this one—I encourage you to post in that thread.
The cadence and topics for these threads will vary depending on a particular release date. For example we will be posting a Desert Borderlands map feedback thread, but we want to give everyone a little more time to play before creating that thread. There also will be threads coming that will allow the community to make suggestions on what they want the team to be working on going forward.

1) I like it, they add some reward to the mix.
2) The participation is fine, good the participation is maxed at 130~ in eotm and higher in eb/borders to prevent people from farming reward tracks in eotm.
3) The max participation couldv’e been a notch higher but then again i dont play wvw to farm reward track nor do I want people to farm them. increasing it might be problematic but adding bonus reward points by the amount of ppt you have could work, only if you have max 550 to start with. Or add bones reward points every 14~ ppt timer starting from 20 points going up 50 bonus points every point tick, 50 → 100 → 150 etc then start over when you get to 250.
4) Id personally replace the tomes of knowledge with something, we already ge loads of them via the wvw rankup chests, side note: change the tome of knowledge from the wvw rank up chest aswell
5) I would like to see one track awarding badges of honor or something, and maybe buffs or food of choice.

This should be reportable as exploiting the system or purposefully ruining the experience of others, although the problem is how would you know if somebody is deliberately sabotaging a game.
Premades are ruining my pvp experience I assume we can report them aswell right?

They have to choose wether they want a league where skill/progression matters not some plip/reward fest beaquse you clearly cant mix them both. Im done with leagues for now, not gonna sit in a 25 min queue to get asskittened matches like this one.

I’m more concerned with the high sustain that comes with that type of damage. High damage is fine by me as long as it’s high risk. Unfortunately, Revs get both.
Now people will start to realize that DH is not OP as they think it is. It only works with pugs. Revenant has better mobility, utility, perma quickness and good damage too.
