It’s a shame really. I quit playing my ranger months ago and recently salvaged all his equipment for money to work towards a legendary for my guardian. Feels nice not having a pet drag me down all time time but I do miss having my cool little companions around at times…

Or ignore it again next yet. Glad someone likes it though!

I have always wondered the same. It’s a game and I couldn’t care less about its economy. But I guess it is good some people do as I see the advantage of keeping it under control.

I also agree that the new event is pretty cool. Went home for lunch today and played a little bit of it and I am looking forward to jumping back in this evening after work!

I like the VIP area because it means I don’t have to spend time dodging the poors that clog up the streets of Lion’s Arch.

A few days ago some lad was whining and begging how ancient bones were so expensive, and kept spamming “WTB ancient bones 10s”.

Of course, he got massive kitten thrown at him after an hour or so.

The great thing about this item is I won’t have to deal with all these LA peasants!

Remember folks. Lion’s Arch was founded by pirates, for pirates. Those of us who are wealthy and of high class, we deserve much better :P

I think asurua need a good graphics make over. I love my asura guardian and at this point is the only character I play anymore but it irritated me to no end all the clipping issues. My Final Rest is evidentally a plow since when I run the scythe is pointed at the ground (where as the char has it pointing to the side) so it is digging into the ground. The butcape on my arah armor clipps into my armor and weapons and my feet clip through it when I run…etc, etc, etc.

Come on Anet, have some standards…well better standards. Maybe they should make a gem store tool kit that eliminated clipping issues :-P

I only ran it once a day anyways so I love the change!

Can someone PLEASE redo the norn ranger male sword auto attack animation? Bad enough I already just bought a make over kit to get rid of my two toned hair/beard since that never got fixed…

Every person I have ran dungeons with always run the path with the same character and just swap out characters at the end of the run to get the reward. This will stop that. Not an issue for me since I don’t do that but I can see where it will be an issue with some players.

I don’t know that I would want the sold, I was just ranting that the skin I got after running fractals since they came out was a skin I can not use on any character that I have or want to make.

Ideally (for me) I’d like to see a ticketing system where I could trade in the ticket or relic for the skin I want. This would retain the prestige of fractal weapons and let me get the skin I want after months and months of running fractals.

I sell all my BLC’s…haven’t opened one since trying to get a fused weapon and got squat nor will I ever play their RNG game again. Good luck to those that do! I look forward to seeing your weapons ingame.

So at long last I finally got a fractal weapon skin! Imagine my excitment when I saw on the reward screen a weapon skin…until I realized it was a pistal…a freaking pistol! I don’t have a single character that uses a pistol nor do I want to make one. Can’t sell it, can’t do anything (that I want to do) with it.

I would like to see a ticketing system where you get some sort of fractal relic that you can turn in for the weapon skin of your choice.

I’d like to see badges of honor from SM dungeons so people can have another way of getting them than bumbling around in WvW for no other reason than to get badges (myself included) and this would be a better alternative than dungeon tokens…

I got my gift the other day and I’ll not go back to this dungeon till they fix it. Since the changes it is just a glitchy mess and it irritates me everytime I go in there.

I don’t play a thief but I did do a L30 fractal the other day with a berserker thief and he was pretty awesome. Was EXTREMELY helpful on the dredge fractal (granted this fractal still sucked and I hate it). He may have been an exception to the rule but I’d run again with him anytime in high level fractals.

You know what is ridiculous? They have regular dyes mixed in with the new cool dyes. I bought some of each and got nothing but regular dyes. I don’t participate in the RNG stuff in the game and didn’t know that you even had a chance of getting some crappy dye that wasn’t one of the new ones or I wouldn’t even have bought them.

Best be is to do like one of the previous posters said and buy the dye(s) you want with in game gold.

I like many people here got my for the conveince. I didn’t even know there was a custom effect till I used it the first time. Different strokes for different folks right? I haven’t paid for gems for anything else and always said if they made unlimitied versions of material gathering tools I’d buy them in a second…granted it took long than that since the trading post kept crashing when they release it.

I was talking to a friend about this same problem last night. I only recently got to the 20+ levels of fractals and have started accumilating rings that I will never used and like the OP and don’t want to sell them in case something useful can be done with them…

I’d like to see housing implemented…would be cool to hang my various sets of armor and weapons to look at.

Kinda like the HOM but so I could remove the equipment when I want to use it.

I’d like to see transformations retain their auto attacks so I don’t have to set it when I transform. Played a couple of different classes with transformations and it is quite irritating having to repeatedly press 1 or whatever I want as my auto attack or control-click it afterwards all the time….

I’d like to see major changes to Reanimator that include at least:

Remove the ticking damage numbers.
Remove my characters comments when they die.

I find the reanimator trait extremely obnoxious and if they aren’t going to remove or change the trait at least remove the visual and audio obnoxiousness from it…

Is it possible to do this? I really want to change my account name since I don’t like my RL name displaying…

We tried this last night for about 3 hours and eventually just gave up. You can’t dps her while she is invisible an longer. Two of us were rangers (including myself) which made the event even worse since the sparks would decide to latch on to our pets and they were hard to lead to their spots.

Might try it again when I get my guardian up to 80 but I’ll never take my ranger back there…

This is good stuff! I have an up and coming warrior that I was trying to figure out how to use longbow effectively since I find it to be the most enjoyable weapon. My dream combination is longbow and dual axes, which I’ll be testing out (love the whirl combos).

Any suggestions for the master arms trait? Kind of leaning towards furious reaction simply because not much else is applicable for dual axes…

I’d really like to see the obstructed bug fixed. I was doing a skill point in cursed shore last night where you have to kill a turret and since I run lb / sb I couldn’t hurt it at all, only got obstructed. I eventually had to just run out of agro range (of course prompting more agro from the bazillion mobs there) and switch to a melee weapon to finish the skill point.

Your going to have these kinds of people everywhere in life, including gaming. Me and my friends take anyone regardless of experience level. No ping equipment, not asking stupid questions and we kick people who start wanting equipment pinged and such.

Everyone has to start somewhere and it’s all about having fun and partying up with people regardless if the dungeon runs take 20 minutes or 2 hours.

I have played a male norn ranger almost exclusively since launch and for the most part enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed the story line; having played around with all the races I found the norn story line to be the most enjoyable (also picked order of whispers with Tybalt!)

Unfortunately there are several things that really, REALLY irritate me.

First is the racial skills. This in addition to the story line was the main reason I chose a norn. The racial skills need some love, mainly just remove the rooting.

Graphically the male norns really suffer. The animations are clunky. The ranger sword attack for the male rangers doesn’t flow well at all. Got no problem with the drop kick but the progression almost looks like it is missing portions of the animation.

Clipping makes me want to cry. Side sheathing is absolutely abyssmal…really.

Two toned hair and beard even though I picked the same colors for for my hair and beard…come on man!

All that being said the female norns seem to be better off, my daughter plays a female norn ranger and her skill animations look great and I am quite jealous…

I’m especially irritates with the weapon sheathing clipping. Personally if they aren’t going to fix it I’d like to see an option that doesn’t show our weapons when they are sheathed.

Still no word on this? Makes me sad that I am going to have to redo my norn when the cosmetic kits come out so I don’t have to look at his two toned hair/beard any longer…

That makes me sad. I just started using that skill and was going to test this myself. Hope they fix it…

I posted in another thread but would like to chime in since it is specific to this issue…my norn has the same issues…

Something else I noticed is my hair and giant mustache show as different shades of blonde in different light. I thought it was my computer till a friend asked my why I made them two different colors and said I look kinda stupid…

I agree, there are so many clipping issues it makes me wish I had picked another race. I’d rather the clipping was fixed though cause I love norns…

Curious if there is any plans to fix the multitude of clipping issues particularly the side weapon sheathing issues. It appears that the sylvari armor models are the only ones that do not have these issues. On all all of the other models on my norn it looks terrible.
