Ya I agree with Jerus. Dungeon were challenging when we first start doing them and they were kind of challenging for a relatively long time. Not all of them, but I got several guildmate that still have a hard time with Arah and Fractals 50. But over time, pretty much anything will become easy.
I never said changing gear would be the optimal solution. I strongly believe that zerker will always be optimal. However the player skill required to play berserker will be higher if they do make a 90% dps nerf in a hypothetical situation. Why? Players will actually need to dodge correctly and use their skills wisely.
So like most regular on the dungeon subforum you agree that the current meta or game isn’t a problem at all (with some minor fixing). It’s the content that is too old/easy.
This was arguing for the sake of arguing. (I don’t mean you, but both of us).
So you want that a DPS character can’t support and a Support character can’t DPS?
essentially yes, I mean they’ll contribute some damage but their primary role is to do something else.
Well there is plenty of MMO like that. GW2 is build around another concept. Both are good, they just don’t target the same public. GW2 sprend the responsability to the whole party. Everybody need to participate to the support and dps side of PvE.
On the plus side, you don’t rely on other to complete a specific content. You don’t need to wait for a tank and won’t wipe because your healer is a noob. But if everybody do their part you can do incredible things.
On the minus side, you don’t rely on other to complete a specific content. Everybody feel less important and special.
Personnally, i prefer this way and GW2 is good for me. Other ppl prefer the other way and other games are for them. I don’t go on the forum of other game and push to change the game at its very core.
No way if damage was nerfed this badly, I’d imagine everyone and their grandma to be on their floor mopping their tears after getting rekted.
A 9000% nerf? I bet people would be on their floor mopping their tears after the hours they took to kill the first boss. But people solo in zerker, which is about a 90-95% nerf compare to a group of 5 buffing each other. So ya, we’ll need a freaking high amount of nerf before it change anything.
Solo is pretty challenging. If you don’t think it is then I guess I just suck in this game.
It’s pretty challenging, but it doesn’t make me change my gear to soldier or take a AH guardian build. And I don’t do solo that much anymore, but in the limited time I practice I was able to drop my time doing Arah path 2 solo from 2hours to around 30min. It they make a 90-95% nerf, it won’t be more challenging. It will just take longer.
No way if damage was nerfed this badly, I’d imagine everyone and their grandma to be on their floor mopping their tears after getting rekted.

There nothing to prove by lying, sooner or later you will be caught.
And at my age try to prove that a donkey do not have wings is waste of time.Because you do not put restrictions on lfg, does not make everyone not putting one.
I was speaking generally you take it personally.EU server right now, TA lfg paths UP & FW, 5out of 5 asking for Meta-Zerk.
http://oi57.tinypic.com/28qrjgo.jpg
If you find this fine and do not see any problem with that, then I rest my case.
No point to argue or asking to change things.
Then do like me and CREATE YOU OWN LFG. Why do you absolutely need to go into an existing LFG? Why??? I see nothing bad about those LFG. These people want to play that way and they are free to ask for people that want to play the same way they want to play. Like you are free to play the way you want with the people you want.
Now two outcome can happen.
1) You post your own LFG and people that like to play like you want join and you have a fun time
2) Nobody ever join your LFG and you realize that nobody want to play like you.
I’m pretty sure it will be the first choice because I always have plenty of non zerker and non meta players in my group. We can stay in contact and I’ll give you all the PHIW pugs I got in exchange for all those toxic elitist you got. Deal?
Yeah probably but it will be challenging for a while until people figure out the next OP strat. And in MY ideal world if I was in charge of balancing gw2, I would probably nerf that dominant strategy in a month after its discovery. This was basically how GW1 was balanced and it kept the game fresh(at least for me).
I’m ok with balancing OP stuff that get abused. FGS and now Icebow have just too much burst potentiel. But they over did it with FGS by making it useless and I just hope they don’t do the same with Icebow.
“plenty of support” yeah right. Stacking might and fury, reflects, and maybe spreading Aegis is the only support of note. everything else is just stack, whack, and dodge. All those “support” boons and reflects are also done perfectly well while in zerker gear while dps’ing at the same time too.
So you’re not support, you’re still DPS.
This is every profession’s role in every dungeon in GW2:
So you want that a DPS character can’t support and a Support character can’t DPS?
I don’t really care about the difficulty of dungeons at this point of the game because as every one has said, the content is 3years old therefore its easy but I honestly feel without icebow in FOTM, that 3year old content is still challenging.
And if they removed Icebow, we gonna have the same discussion. They said the same thing about the ferocity nerf, how it would change the meta, etc, etc and stuff would be more challenging, etc, etc and see what happened? Nothing. They can continue to nerf our DPS, we’ll still find ways to complete dungeon super fast.
It really depend on which team you gonna end up against and it’s highly variable. Sometime I guess reckt in ranked and have easy win in unranked. Sometime it’s the other way around. Sometime you play against player of the same caliber than you but they play on a new character and they seem bad. Sometime you play against player that are new, but play their main and they have it easy. Sometime you play against pre-made team that are good together, sometime you play against pre-made that play together for the first time, sometime you play against pugs that just work well together. You never know. Of course the better you get, the better the player against which you gonna play are gonna be better (usually). My friend always told me that they see the difference when they play with or without me. I play in PvP a lot more than they do, so they usually win when they play without me, but it’s usually difficult game when they play with me. Player are betters, stomping and rezzing are far harder and rotation are quicker.
It will always be highly variable. Sometime you gonna have it easy, sometime it’s gonna be hard and sometime you gonna get destroyed. But as you play more, you gonna get out of the bottom of the list and you gonna fight against ppl that actually play pvp on a regular basis.
Yes, and I would prefer content to be challenging even with decent players which I feel can be accomplished by nerfing icebow and maybe a little on meteor shower.
That’s a pretty narrow view. Yup Icebow is a bit overpowered. Meteor Shower? Not so sure since it’s a high burst skill but with a very large area which limit it’s effectiveness.
Anyway, they could cut the dps of everything in the game by half, that would not make content more challenging. Non challenging 3 years old content won’t become magically challenging only because we take longer to kill them. It could help for some particular bosses, but these bosses are not the problem. The problem is with easy mode boss that don’t pressure your active defense so you can spam aegis/dodge/reflect and still do the job done.
You can not play as you want cause community forces to play a specific style either meta-zerk or kick. Most lfg’s are like these, including gear check, no necros, no rangers, not this not that. Too many restrictions for a mod which suppose to aim on teamplay not just DPS.
I almost always make my own LFG, with my guild or when I’m alone. I never once asked for gear check, no necros, no rangers, zerk only, meta only. Never, not once. And all the time, my friends or guildmate ask for something like that I always ask them to get rid of it. But still, I’m able to do any dungeon I want, at pretty much anytime.
My only requirement is to be level 80 and sometime to be experienced. I never kicked someone that was cleric, PHIW or used a weird build/weapons. If they can pull their own weight I’ll stay in the group. If they were really bad, I would simply quit the party after the path and continue with another group.
So If I’m able to do it, then my guess is that you are either just so bad at LFG that it’s laughable. Or you are just lying to prove your point.
GS Sw/F is between 1 and 3% better dps over GS Mace/F. Pure Sword will be around 10% better than Pure Mace.
Seriously the difference is so small, that both are good choice. And yes Mace will become higher dps with the new traits unless there is a big change to what we already know.
And this folks is my problem with GW 2 and dungeons! I can do the meta crap, I have the zerker gear, but its just too stale and boring, and the naysayers say I just hate meta and want to be a special snowflake and just do it the boring way being different.
Then don’t do meta and play how you want to play. Nobody is trying to stop you. With the numbers of people complaining about how meta is boring, I can’t believe you can’t form a guild or find each other in a LFG.
S/D vs D/P 1v1 advantage goes to S/D.
Group play where all you are doing is spiking targets <50% health D/P is better.
The reason you are seeing more D/P in the meta is honestly IMHO the condi clear.
I think the reason is more about the Blind. Stomping is one of the most important thing in group fight in PvP and the Skill 5 is really good for that. The capability of D/P to finish off low health foe is also a big plus. It just work best in the current meta.
Sword/Pistol against group of mobs, it’s also a good defensive kit.
Dagger/Dagger against single target, it’s the highest dps weapon set in the game against solo target.
Dagger/Pistol, it’s decent in dps, but its strength come from the blind and daze it provide.
That’s the three best weapons set. Shortbow and Pistol/Pistol will have a pretty big drop in dps compare to the other 3 sets. But if you really need a range weapon because you are not able to stay alive in melee, then it’s Pistol/Pistol against bosses and Shortbow against group of mobs. But like I said, they are not good in term of dps.
Do you honestly think the new expansion, ArenaNet is going to keep letting bosses be shredded with ease?
Lets face it, the zerker meta will end. There is no way ArenaNet will allow players to continue to shred their dungeons in under 15 minutes.
And how do you think Anet will do that?
- Nerfing Icebow and Lighting Hammer? That will destroy an Elementalist build, but staff ele will still be there. Icebow have plenty of space to nerf, it will still probably be part of the meta, if they nerf it to the ground no problem, party wihtout Elementalist can still go through a dungeon fast.
- Balancing PvE for condition? That just give us more option, it will be glass cannon in general Sinister, Zerk or Assassin.
- Mega nerf to precision and ferocity? We’ll take longer to do stuff, but we’ll still do it in Zerker gear and it will still be faster than pugs.
The only way I can see the zerk meta change, is if they nerf our active defense and personnal heal by a good margin for a more passive gameplay. This will push aways a good portion of the population of the game.
Are you guys really content with Warriors being straight up mindless, no matter what their role is?
It’s fine for play styles to be mindless, but when it’s the best solution, that’s not good.
No we are not. We want Warrior to be more fun and engaging to play. But we don’t want to just nerf their capability, this don’t help making it more engaging at all, it just make it less valuable.
Sentinel could work with the Backline Support role. He stand vigilant looking out for his fellow companions.
Oh geez it would have been ABSURD to call it a Paragon.
Paragons were
A. trained in Elona
B. They’re an entire profession, specializations are just a variant of existing professions
C. Fight with actual spears not magical ones or bows
D. lore-wise it’s nonsensical. what did a Paragon and Guardian fall into a vat of chemicals and make a mutant? Come on.The community just wanted to add extra hype but you got it wrong. Not a big deal.
‘’With the turmoil in Elona and the spread of the Order of Whispers into other lands, more Paragon teaching showed elsewhere in Tyria. These teachings melded with other traditions, and over time, the guardians and their abilities can be found throughout the world and among all the races. They are not tied to a particular race, philosophy, or group of gods but rather to a larger concept of proactive defense, of taking the fight to a foe and protecting those you fight alongside while appealing equally to humanity’s defensive nature and the charr’s desire to rule the battlefield’’
Why it doesn’t make sense lore-wise? Guardian is the democratization of the paragon way, why can’t a group of Guardian decided to get back to their core and history. True, ideally they would have a true spear as a weapon.
I don’t hate Dragonhunter, but i’m disappointed after the chronomancer.
The chronomancer is awesome because everything work togheter. It’s a master of time, the name evoke a master of time, the new profession mechanic is about time, wells are powerful skill right now and the new ones are also about time, just like the new weapon. There is a clear theme throughout every aspect of the new specialization.
The guardian specialization on the other hand, no so much. It’s a dragonhunter with a longbow, traps and physical attack from virtue. All those thing alone will probably be fine in the game. They will be nice, probably powerful and useful in some game mode. But they don’t feel as they work all together. They feel like a bunch of unrelated stuff bunch together. And a bow + trap combo is something we already have in the game, and it’s decend to bad. So of course it doesn’t get everybody excited.
- Guardian Sword is part of the meta in dungeon, it can be good in sPvP for a medi guardian same with WvW Roaming, but it’s bad for WvW zerg.
- Thief Sword is a good weapon in PvE, sPvP and WvW Roaming, but so much in Zerg.
- Mesmer Sword is part of the meta in PvE and it’s good for sPvP and WvW Roaming. It can also be decent in Zerg as a secondary weapon.
- Ranger Sword is part of the meta in PvE and it’s decend in sPvP and WvW Roaming, but not in WvW Zerg.
Babe, tell me you REALLY think some traps are gonna be used in fracs instead of wor/syg/retreat/hg.
They just wanted to please carebears. Again. kitten crappy and uninspired phiw condi build with a kittenty name for roleplayers.
Thank random deity for acctbound ascended gear….
How can we know? We have no idea what these traps will do.
That’s why devs should have their game tested. Properly tested before they release content for it.
During the Season 1 LS almost every release had an exploitable bug that they quickly fixed 1-2 days later. That’s all good but the guys who got in on it got the goods.
They simply need to have some players TEST the content. It’s not that hard. I would gladly do it – and there are many others who would.
Pay me a 10 gold fee for each exploit/bug and I’ll gladly do it. It really is that easy to find people to fix the game and rid it of bugs.
They test it. But when it goes live you have hundred of thousands of ppl testing it during several hours. You can’t do that with paid people and you can’t really make an open beta for each big update to the game. Testing will find some problem before release, but of course the players by shear numbers will always find more stuff that testing can even dream to find.
They seem to give one specialization each week on thursday.
It doesn’t really need to make sense.
Pyromancy, Geomancer, Aeromancy, Hydromancy, Necromancy, etc those all existed in real life. People saying that they can community to god through fire, earth, air, water and death. But these term sound kitten, and that’s why they use them.
At least it’s not another instance of abusing “mancer”. Does anyone involved in fantasy even know what the word means..
It come from the greek manteía which mean divination. A mancer is a practitioner of a specific type of divination.
Some lfgs from yesterday. Nice to see multiple warriors and guardians is still the way to go…
I don’t see any problem with most of these. When ppl ask for meta, it’s for the build, they just want someone with good dps, but they don’t mind who come in and sometime yes it’s several guardian.
When they ask for Warrior and they already have one it’s weird, but it could be because they were 3, ask for a Warrior for banner, the 4th was a warrior and they didn’t changed the lfg.
The guys that sell, but ask for help is a bit funny, same with the healer guardian.
Yes and no, while it’s nice to have light fields be something wanted, it’s going to only strengthen the PS + Staff Ele meta, making for more braindead play. Between this, PS being achieved with berserker’s power, and destruction of non staff Ele DPS, well, it seems ANet wants to reinforce the easy play
I feel like I’m going to have to go full PHIW and run sub par builds just to have fun while doing so.
With a little chance the Guardian meta will be GS + Mace/Focus and it will be nice to make the rotation to keep the symbol uptime. At least my Guardian will be nicer to play. Finger cross.
(edited by Thaddeus.4891)
Condi and trapper traits? I’m not holding my breath.
Again, we don’t need to use everything from the specialization if we take the line. We’ll see what will be the exact trait, but for now we only need some trait in the Dragonhunter line that is better than UC and Power of the Virtious. Everything could be the same, I don’t think they gonna have 9 major and 3 minor all about support and condition.
And some trap could be nice in PvE, we’ll see.
The Guardian specialization seem PvP all the way, not so much interesting thing for PvE.
We’ll we have a true hybrid condi/power build with bleed now, maybe even a Celestial build who know. These virtue active seem nice, leap and block are always welcome in PvP, while the F1 spear could be another burst skill for the medi guardian. We’ll see for the Longbow, but the Symbol of Energy seem awesome. Going on a point with your Longbow, putting a symbol of energy on the point and start the fight with vigor to evade that initial burst or when you need to keep a point a little longer. We’ll need to see more about the other skills. And of course those trap could be nice in a trapper build.
Yup.
Paragon have Shouts, Chants and Echos.
- Shouts : Instants cast buff
- Chants : You cast a buff on you that only activate if a criteria is meet (Like proc protection when you get hit or something like that)
- Echos : They work like shouts, but they are not instant and can’t be remove. The also have an additional effect when a shouts or chants end.
My guess is that it will be Paragon and we gonna get either Chant or Echo as new skills. We’ll know tomorrow I suppose.
I guess no1 cares if your gear is exotic or ascended, as long as it is berserker.
Actually, it seems no one cares if you can even play, as long as you have berserker gear.[/quote]
I’ll take someone who is good, but don’t wear beserker gear over a bad player with berserker gear anytime.
So you still don’t understand the most basic point of this discussion, that stats are going to be removed from traits? Despite how it has been said over and over and over?
Well, I’ll repeat for you: stats are going to be removed from traits.
So no, condition damage or duration or power or precision won’t be “tied into a new trait”. We know that because ArenaNet has spoken about it, and it has been heavily discussed in the forum and read by those who were paying attention.
Considering how that’s the exact reason why people are asking for a gear respec, what do you think you have been talking about in this topic?
But we don’t know the specific yet. For exemple, profession specific stats are split between baseline and the trait line.
We don’t know what they will do with condition duration and boon duration. They could give them baseline, they could give new stats combinaison with boon or condi duration, they could do something else we simply don’t know.
How can i get a whole week ban for saying the F word a couple of times?
Depends on context.
At noone in particular, not without great effort on the part of reporters.
At someone or a group of people, easily.
So if i am in a 1000 players guild and i tell them all to report someone that poor guy will be hanged because he was reported by many?
No he mean if you curse in general or about a situation. (This is kitten stupid)
vs
If you curse at someone or at a group. (You are a kitten or Women are kitten)
Just like someone who makes a nice drawing of Lara Croft isn’t automatically an artist.
What?? If you can make a nice drawing of Lara Croft you are an artist. You are an amateur artist, not a professional one because you don’t get paid to draw, but you are an artist.
And apparently you have the skill to become a professional artist if that’s what you want.
Ya. When someone say something like that on the forum, it’s usually not the whole truth. I don’t think that Anet banned someone because he used the F word. There is a option to censure these kind of word, like on the forum (but on the forum you can’t uncheck it).
Verbal abuse usually mean you attacked someone over the chat.
There is a difference between. ‘’Ah kitten, this isn’t fun’’ and ‘’Shut yup you kitten’‘. They both use a vulgar word, but one isn’t verbal abuse.
Actually a chef and/or cook has to be licensed by either the local city or state government in order to work with food. They need to be legally allowed to work with food. And know the various cooking temps and proper procedures for handling food.
Of course the requirements are different in each state, but generally at the very least the business owner and/or manager are required to have one.
You can register online, go take the exam and tadam. You have your food handling certificate. That doesn’t mean you are good at your job, only that you do it safely.
Even an employed game designer isnt necessarily better at designing content than your average invested intelligent player.
Even a professional surgeon isn’t necessarily better at performing surgery than your average invested intelligent patient.
Not really the same thing.
Game designer is usually not a job, but a position. People go to school and start in animation, graphic design, game art & design, programing, etc.
To be a surgeon you need to know the human body and how to fix it. As a game designer you need to use your imagination to create interesting design. School can give you tools and experience will help you to learn from past mistake. But overall, anyone can come up with good game design idea.
Everybody want to be a game designer. But usually, game designer are programmer, animator, artist, graphic designer, etc that receive a game design role at their job. Everybody can come up with idea, that’s not enough, you need to apply these idea into a video game.
Soooooo we’re stuck with kittenty zergy content. No hope for redemption? /sigh
I can’t figure out one single good way to make challenging open world work. Not one. The marionette was so heavily hated on by all the kittenlords whining because unable to 5man a single champion; single-player simil-instances à la Liadri caused an uproar of PHIWs because they couldn’t get the mini by defeating one single boss with a low hp pool; Tequatl is a zergfest and wurm a huge fail; an instanced UW map would still be an instance, which is clearly an omg-no-no by anet.
I disagree. Marionette with 10 men team would be a wonderful content. Hell Marionnette like it was is still a powerful fight. Haters gonna hate. I can’t care about cry baby that can play zerker now, I won’t care about people crying about the marionette fight.
Same with Liadri. The fact that people cry because it’s hard, is the perfect sign that the content is challenging.
Tequalt is half decent. It’s better than most other world boss, but the design isn’t really challenging once you know the encounter.
Wurm is challenging, but it’s the organization that is challenging, not really the encounter itself. It’s not a fail, it’s just that the reward is lacking for such a difficult event to complete. People usually don’t think it’s worth the effort.
Challenging content will make people cry about it. That doesn’t mean that you shouldn’t do it.
idk, It think it’s fair to criticize the learning curve between open-world and instanced PvE. At least, back when the content wasn’t as stale as a 8-day-old bagel, dungeons were far, far more difficult than anything most players had ever seen.
Having a low level dungeon that teaches mechanics would be a great thing. But that’s not really what AC does these day :/
True. We don’t see it now, but the burrows in AC are a big dps gate for new players.
Anyone who plays a stance warrior knows how to abuse condi immunity long enough to kill any condi roamer.
Are you saying that hard counter exist in the game. JESUS
I wish there were more threads discussing what we (no, not crazy phiws haters, they’re not invited) dungeoneers want from HoT’s “challenging”, open world content… since I don’t think there will be instances.
I liked the concept of the Marionette. Marionnette and Vinewrath are actually similar concept, but to the extreme. Marionnette had 5 lines, Vinewrath have 3. Each Marionette line was divided in 5, each vinewrath is divided by one.
I would take the best out of both to make a better challenging content. The fact that nothing is going on during the vinewrath is a plus. The number of people doing something else in the map is limited, so you can full the map with ppl that want to do the event and not map completion or some other events, etc.
The 3 lines of vinewrath are too easy. We failed at first when nobody knew what to do, but seriously with the amount of ppl versus the number of mobs, this isn’t really a challenge. The 5 line of the marionette on the other hand was challenging. We had to prepare a lot more and to equilibrate the line way more.
For marionette the content of the lines had a urgency to it, that lack in the vinewrath. You had to kill those mobs before they reach the portal. You had to focus specific target and have different group in the same line. Vinewrath have no urgency. Unless people leave the carrier alone, mobs will be dead before the carrier.
Marionette had players in small groups for the boss fight and those group were too small. How many fight ended because one group of 4-5 wasn’t able to complete their fight, kittening off the whole map. But Vinewrath go too far by only dividing the map in 3. Half the group can die and the rest can still succeed. Maybe make group of about 10 ppl to fight. That’s not too few that bad player will screw up the entire map, but not too much that you can almost afk the fight and be carried by the large group of player.
How will conditions be MORE useful with the advent of condi immunity as a boon? It really seems to me like they want to kill condi roamers altogether.
Aegis and Blind exist. They are trying to kill power build altogether.
What game mode? sPvP, PvE, WvW zerg, WvW roaming?
why is one of them in the “support” line?
Because nobody would take it if that was the case. Right now, they could put it as a Zeal grandmaster. After the new trait? They can’t. Symbolic Avenger will always be a better choice over it. What they could do, is to downgrade it to only symbol duration and make it an adept or master trait. That could work.
1) MMO never refunds stuff when the change it later in the game. I
2) Speculation much. You think they gonna change burning, but don’t rebalance it? Yup, that’s probably it, they gonna drop the damage, change it to stackable, but leave skill like they are now. Make sense.
3) The made burning stackable so that they can remove the cap on it. If tested it in the beta. They removed the stack limit, but that don’t help burning at all. By making it stackable it kind of fix the problem.
4) Condition build will be more viable than they are now. Calm down and wait to see what they will do with condition before freaking out.
Human interaction is hard lol. Get over it, you got kicked. Yes they should have put something in the description, yep they shouldn’t have kicked you if they didn’t put it in the description, but they don’t have to accept anything because they didn’t list it.
Because the two game play styles conflict. So either you split the two game modes, or you disallow one of the two. If you still allow both, then you are ultimate responsible as a game designer for the problems that arise from allowing it..
But HOW they conflict each other. I can full clear and I can speed clear. I can do both. What is the conflict? The only conflict I see is when people wanting different thing are in the same party. That’s not a design problem, that a LFG problem. People that like full clear are in minority, but they can’t accept that they gonna need to work harder to find a group with the same goal. Dungeon have a lot of problem, but I don’t see any problem with that. They could improve it for sure, but that’s not a problem.
What matters is what the game designers intended.
No it doesn’t. What matters is what is in the game. If you can do it without exploit, then it’s part of the game. When it’s a clear exploit, then the dev remove it and ban people. When the didn’t intended something, but don’t like it, they just remove it (FGS). When they didn’t intended something, but don’t have time to change it or like it, they don’t touch it and we continue to use it. I couldn’t give a crap about what the dev intended. I bet a lot of what’s going on in their game is unintended. And what? Sometime it’s a good thing, sometime it’s not. If they don’t like it, then they just have to remove it from the game. It’s pointless to argree about what the devs intended or not. We don’t know what they intended or not, it’s pure speculation and really not worth the time.
Then lets hear positive reinforcements.
- Remove the bonus chest at the end and give some reward from killing mobs. Especially optional mobs.
- Don’t make skippable mobs annoying. Those chain CC on trash mobs is an horrible idea and just push ppl to skip them rather than fight them.
- Make interesting fight. Optional mobs are usually just a bunch of mobs put in your path. Nothing special or interesting about them.
Every fight should be worth the reward.
You can even put some crazy idea. Killing mobs increase a bar and the higher the bar is, the higher the reward at the end is.
Anyway, this isn’t really important. Anet is clearly focusing on fractals over dungeon and skipping isn’t really an issue in fractal anyway. Not that I consider skipping an issue in dungeon either.
