Can do 60 in trinkets and then weapons to round out the 70. I keep 60 AR in my bank to plop on any toon at any time, easier than swapping gear sets around
That mean crafting or buying 3 of those +10 AR at 50 gold each. That’s not too much, but i’m at my 5th ascended armor, so they don’t cost much anymore.
if tanky toughness/vit is not effective in your game mode. there is something wrong with it.
Why? I see those as training wheels or safety net. Why is that wrong?
if conditions, an offensive playstyle brought about by the system itself is not effective in your game mode, there is something wrong with it.
True. Hopefully something will be done with HoT.
if your enemies are too easy to predict including patterns on where to bomb it and range in where you can reset agro, then there is something wrong with it.
Two issues here. The game was designed as casual. I would really want more complex fight. Lupi, Liadri and some fractal 50 fight shouldn’t be the execption, they should be the norm. But as I said, the game wasn’t design to be an kittene. Second issue is the age of the content. More and more ppl get to know fights in dungeon and fractal in the last 2 years. Even bad players can now use full zerker build because they know the hell out of the content. The first issue is a problem for me, but it’s a design choice. More content with gradual difficulty like fractal seem to be the solution. The second issue isn’t really a problem. Everybody want more content, but the resource Anet have to create new content is limited. At best we can hope they do a better allocation of those resource (we don’t need another redesign of the daily Anet).
if your enemies can be skipped so easily that one might wonder why they are there in the first place, then there is something wrong with it.
Kind of true, but I don’t think it’s a huge problem either. I mean, that the human nature after all. People will always try to make the most efficient run possible and that include skipping if possible. They can hunt down every skipping possible and come out with a solution. But I don’t think that’s a good allocation of resources for Anet or the players.
DPS wise, S/P is very strong. It out does a majority of other classes and builds with exception to staff Ele’s, some Warrior builds and D/D Backstab thief, maybe a few others that I’m not aware of.
GL
Easy to check out. Over 30 seconds you can do around 9 Pistol Whip (8 with keeping you initiative over 6, and a last one to finish the sequence) and 3 auto-attack chain.
With a 25 stack of might, fury, might etc. (No ranger). That’s around 12.3k of dps, which put it behind Thief D/D, Ele Staff, Ele S/X LH and Engineer. I’m not sure the exact dps of the ranger after the last buff, but it seem to around the same as S/P.
Not bad at all. It’s a better choice than D/D when you attack 3 targets or more. But against a boss? That’s around a 20% lost in dps versus a D/D build. Significant since the longest fight in most situation are bosses.
Did you read his post? That’s mostly for Fractal, that’s the one place where you need ascended gear.
I did, and I don’t think an extra 75 power, 43 precision, and 43 healing power are going to be life-changing. Did you read the part of his post where he said he doesn’t care about min-max’ing?
think the guy quoting u meant with respeckt to needing ascended for the agony resistance in fractals
Exactly. You can in theory run fractal 50 without a ascended armor, but it’s a bad idea.
‘’AGONY RESISTANCE’’
in what way? other than defiance stacks which may mess up frost bow 5 i really don’t see the problem. But then again I’m more experienced with other classes than thief
Because you lose a TON of damage using Sw/P against a single target. Sw/P isn’t bad at all against group of mobs since backstab is single target, but against a boss? You definitively want to use D/D.
I was just about to mention that. If you make zealot gear, I recommend just sticking to exotic. A few extra points in stats isn’t enough to justify that 1000+ gold requirement to get all of those ascended zealot recipes.
Did you read his post? That’s mostly for Fractal, that’s the one place where you need ascended gear.
If you run organized, active defense is king, go with guardian all day every day.
For pugs, see the explanation below.
Oh sorry I see some mistake here.
‘’if you run organized, active defense is king, but then you are good and in an organized group you can use active defense from all the profession together to do the job of a guardian. So in the end you only need guardian in a couple of specific dungeon.’’
‘’For pugs, there is no explanation and do whatever you prefer because pugs don’t care. Just take the profession you prefer and try to get better with it’’
Then name more than one class where having more than one isn’t a waste. That’s not really an argument for or against warriors.
It’s only proof that eles are ridiculously op.
It depend on what the profession bring to the table. Does it stack or not?
Two warrior is a waste because the second warrior can’t bring more buff, he can only bring more dps and he have a bad dps.
Two Ranger is also usually a waste because Frost Spirit and Spotter don’t stack.
but other than that?
Two guardian will make your life easier with giving twice as many reflect, condition removal, aegis, blind, etc. Not optimal, but what they bring can stack. Two guardian is twice the amount of defensive support, twice the warrior is the same amount of offensive support.
Two thief will have twice the stealth and single target dps. It’s not a good choice in dungeon where you have little use of stealth and most enemies are group, but it’s not a waste.
See that’s maybe just semantic. But for me waste is only about : does what that profession bring can stack?. For most profession the answer is yes. For ranger and warrior, the answer is no.
The fact that only Elementalist is worth using more that once in a party doesn’t mean that it’s a OP profession. That just mean that he’s the highest dps.
I’m thinking to switch my main from guardian into warrior. I know they have different roles in PvE but I solely would like to know how the damage potential of warriors compared to guardians now.
I think with 4/6/2/0/2 guardians with UC have higher DPS over warriors. What about without UC?
Yes 4/6/2/0/2 guardians with perma UC have more dps than warriors, but that only happen against dummy golem that don’t attack back. You usually want to use 25% of uptime on UC to simulate combat.
The only build that constantly and reliably do more dps than a warrior are Sceptre/Focus build against a large slow enemy like Lupi or Bloomhunger. 6/6/0/0/2 or 4/6/2/0/2 or 6/6/2/0/0 will do around the same damage there.
For a GS + Sw/F build you drop below the dps of a warrior, unless you can keep up UC more than 25%. But you can’t really expect to do that because fight where you can keep UC uptime high are easy fight where you don’t need a guardian.
But anyway, in most situation both profession are relatively close to each other.
My experiences come mostly from wvw zerging and havoc groups, as well as some open world pve.
These are the weapons that i least encountered over my gw2 career:
Warrior: mace mh and oh, rifle, shield, axe mh and oh.
Mesmer: scepter, torch, and sword oh.
Engineer: shield, elixir gun, tool kit.
Elementalist: scepter.
Necromancer: axe.
Guardian: shield, mace.I would like to see more uses for these weapons outside niche builds without gimping oneself.
Ok I was about to give you a pass since you mostly PvP and WvW you say. I was expecting to see that you put on that list PvE only weapons, but as I went through the list you left out A LOT of pvp weapon so your list is of little value if you never encounter these weapons.
Warrior Mace OH, Warrior Axe MH, Mesmer Sword OH and Ele Sceptre are all part of meta build in PvE.
Engineer Tool kit is with nade the most popular kit in PvP
Necromancer Axe is part of the WvW meta
Mesmer Sceptre/Torch, never heard of PU Mesmer ?? Just wow
Engineer Shield, never heard of double kit condi Engineer??
Those are all meta build around the most popular in either WvW, Roaming, sPvP and PvE and you know none of those? Never got melted in WvW by a Necromancer Backliner and his wells? Never chase a PU Mesmer getting invisible every 10sec? Never fight a double kit engi?
The downside to it being so good is that you’ll most likely have more than 1 warrior on a team using the same exact thing like empower and phalanx which nullifies the effectiveness as they don’t stack and 1 warrior can already rack up 25 might with ease.
If I have a chance, I try to get a bunch of dps eles on my team when I run phalanx lol the dungeons runs are amazing.
Whatever what the Warrior run, more than 1 warrior is a waste.
If you want 1 combinaison for both PvE and WvW, I would say Force + Energy
Not the ideal, but a good compromise for everything.
Arah p3 over p1 because far too many pugs cant do the skips in p1, they fail at ooze far too often and tar usually ends up being a cluster ****. I will pug arah p2/3, but only do p1/p4 with friends/guildies.
As long as they help at Tar, I don’t mind solo or duo the rest of the path. It’s not like I expect pug to do anything in Arah anyway.
AC 1-3 4.65g
COF 1/2 3.0g
TA F/U 3.0g
SE 1/3 3.0g
CM 1/3 3.0g
COE 1-3 4.65g
HOTW 1 1.5g
ARAH 2/3 5.05g
Doing those paths each day nets you 27.85g from daily chests with the coin bags in each dungeon its over 30g
Why would you do Arah path 3 over path 1? They are both about the same length and difficulty, but path 3 give a lot less gold.
I think somone missunderstood my first post. It just feeols like my entire journey is worthless until I am level 80 and have put 10’s of hours into dungeons then? I don’t want to mass destruct one area, i just want to feel that every level I do is worth it, I want to feel it.
You all might hate me for taking this as an example. But if any of you have played Runescape? Did you ever feel the joy and the slighest stronger for every Strength level you aquired? And the game was built so that you could feel it within your enemies. In Rs2 I used to love my maxed character because I felt like e Demi-God, yes low level NPC was easy but i still has many threats even at max level, but you did atleast feel like a max level.
Even after 54 levels I feel the same, do you who read this understand my point now? Maybe this game isnt for me, and don’t think I want GW2 to be Runescape, it was just an example!
The new leveling experience in gw2 is kind of bad. It’s used to be better but they changed it. We used to have access to more trait and skills early on as we get better gear, but also better builds.
Anyway, this maybe be selfish of me, but I could care less about the leveling in this game anymore. You gonna put maybe 10 to 30 hours to level up your first character, but several thousands of hours once you hit level 80. Maybe the leveling is bad enough for you that you rather quit the game, but if you can get to level 80, this game kitten many thing to offer you. Leveling in PvP is a bit slow at start, but it also a lot more enjoyable, since you have access to almost everything from the start (depend on what you like).
It’s unfortunate that the leveling experience has change so much, it was a fun part of the game at launch, but they kind of screw it up. At least they improved the game post level 80.
Actual experience trumps math, probably because the math is only true when everything goes perfect.
Sword warriors kill a little slower, and last a lot longer.
Actual experience would make you a better player if you die half the time in PvE with GS. How Sword would make you last longer than GS? GS have an evade each 10 sec and the Sword have a block each 15 second. If anything GS have more survivability than Sword.
Its ok man. You are pretty bad with GS and you prefer Sword. I have no problem with that. That doesn’t make sword a good PvE weapon.
I disagree with HawkEye about the viability of sword. He said it isn’t viable and that is flat wrong. It is viable.
I leveled my warrior to 80 using dual sword. True, it isn’t optimal, but the GS only kills things 2 or 3 seconds faster than dual swords. How ridiculous it is to be so impatient as to quibble about such a short period of time. How anal!
I’m not a fan of glass cannons when it comes to melee. In a tough fight, a berserker GS warrior will be dead on the ground while I am still up and fighting and getting the job done (or at least lasting longer).
I did try GS sword, once, for a few days. I died far more often than as a dual sword warrior.
That seem to be a legit comparaison of the difference between both setup. I’m sure you did extensive testing and all and end up with the conclusion that GS have a small dps lost compare to sword.
That’s weird, because when you do the actual testing you see that sword have around 58% of the dps of a GS in direct damage and can keep around 8-9 more bleed than a GS. The overall dps of a sword will be around 65% of a GS. That’s pretty significant.
You will have a better dps with celestial than apothecary, that’s for sure. It will still be miserable dps so, do whatever you want as long as you have fun.
see i strongly disagree with this. It last 3 second. Maybe you should just back out. And you can position yourself not in between person ranging.
The way I see it is, if you die, doesn’t matter how bad the group is, it’s always the dead person’s fault.
If you are truly pro, you should be able to melee regardless how bad your group is.
Whatever your level, you can’t always melee regardless of your group. You can melee most, but not all boss. Mossman can be melee with a good group, but if you have a bad group, the dps will be so low, the fight so long, that you probably won’t have enough active defence to go through the fight. Maybe a really really good player with some energy sigil and vigor, but the vast majority of players won’t be able. In dungeon, I don’t really see any boss where this apply, they can all be soloed. But in fractal, there a couple of them that are not really solo able.
But you are right. It’s always the fault of the dead guy. If you know what you do, you should figure out the level of your party and change your tactic accordingly. If you are alone meleing the Mosman and the boss don’t drop fast enough, you should back in range before you die. If you stay in melee, the fault is not on your party (except if you ask for melee only or something like that in the LFG description).
well many people lurking here are one of those youtube people.
I see quite a few of people here posting youtube video regularly.
and some are in hardcore dungeon guild, and if they don’t do good they get kick, so they have to be good.
Oh there is the problem
i don’t watch those “youtube people” so i have no idea who they are. My apologies.
And, can’t imagine anything more fun then fearing for your kick every time you do something with your guild running the meta zerk builds on everything because somebody else barked the commands. But… if people like it who am i to say anything.
Anyway, 25 min on 50 is possible uf you get lucky with fractal selection which rarely happens. Some fractals require more time than others simply because there is alot running/waiting then dealing dmg.
So 25 min, SOMETIMES, but allmost never standard running time. What it bothers me he said it, not once, that is standard time for a good run, and anything else is below average. If he makes yt videos that doesn’t make him entitled to proclaim average running time on 25 min just because he’s manicly speed clearing it because he’ll get kicked if they have 26min clearing time.
You’re ok there buddy. Seem a little tense. All fractal except cliffside can be done in 5-6min or less. So it’s will always be around 25min, except if you get cliffside and then, its gonna be around 30-35min. So even if you are right that 25min is not always the case, its a pretty decent estimate for it. There is 120 different combination of fractals and only one of them take longer than 25min.
And why would you assume that ppl in speed run guild kick everybody if any mistake? Like everybody else we all just play with ppl that have the same view of the game as us. How many failed attemps go into each dungeons/fractals as ppl try different strategy and tactics. If every guild would kick anyone for each mistake, there would not be much speed run guild still active.
The reason why this build is not considered a meta is the same reason why Power Ranger or Power Necro are not consider in the meta. They are good build that can turn the tide of a battle, they are real killing machine, but they are too one sided and lack in diversity.
The goal of the game here is to win, not to kill. Sometime to win you need to kill, but you also need to stomp, to rez, to have mobility, to be able to keep a point against two guys, etc. That’s why brawler build like D/D Ele and Shoutbow Warrior are so popular. They can kill, but they also keep a point if they need to. They also work super well in group since they can support each other. Shoutbow will get destroy by some build in 1vs1, but a shoutbow or D/D giving might, condi removal and healing at mid will keep your whole team alive faster.
The other reason is the focus. When you fight a team with a power ranger, a fresh air ele or a power necro who will be your first focus is a SUPER easy decision to make. Two seconds and you know exactly who will be your target for the rest of the game.
That doesn’t mean that those build are bad at all. But that’s the reasons why they are less popular in conquest mode.
Just send gold when party is full.
Most sellers won’t accept that for their own protection. You never want 2 ppl or more in your party that you don’t know and didn’t pay the gold otherwise they could kick you out of the run you just did.
Never saw an Hacker in a pvp match yet and I playing since launch. My guess is that they beat you, you disliked it and you call hacker. But can you elaborate. What they did that make you think they hacked?
It’s time for you to experiment. Try every weapons and skills you can while you level up. Go take a look at metabattle.com to see what are the most popular build in all three modes right now to give you some idea.
1) PvE : GS + Axe/Mace for combat. GS + Sw/Warhorn for moving around fast. GS + Axe/Warhorn is a good comprise between both. You can also use a pure Axe or pure GS.
2) You don’t need to use stance. It depend on your build. Some build use stance, some build use shout, some build use banner and signet.
3) See metabattle.com
What is your runes and amulet? That’s very important.
You are using a Sword (condition) and a Axe (direct damage)? Not an ideal mix. If you are using zerker or soldier amulet you won’t be using Sword at it’s max, and if you are using celestial Sword will be perfect, but you will weaken your axe.
You have terrible condition removal capability. That’s will be your downfall if you gonna fight on the node. Most profession that don’t have condition removal are fighting at longer range.
Why the trait Physical Training if you have ZERO physical skills?
Your mistake is to think that there is support gear.
There is only offensive stats and defensive stats. (healing power is half support/half defensive).
If i’m with my soldier gear, my trade off from zerker gear is less dps for more survivability. After that I can have a support build or a dps build.
What you are poiting at specifically is that defensive support is better than passive defense.
You gonna lose a lot of dps if you want a passive defense build (Aka Soldier gear or such). But you gonna lose almost no dps if you get that survivability with support (block, protection, blind, reflection, etc). So what you are saying is that active defense/support is better than defensive stats and you like that. And we gonna respond that, you are right. It’s better and it’s the reason you like this game because we like active defense a lot more than passive defense. It give a better gameplay.
theist= believes in god
agnostic= has a lack of belief
athiest believes in non existence of god.
I can’t believe i’m jump into that mess, someone kick me lol.
theist = believe in god
Atheist = don’t believe in god
Gnostic= Knowledge of god
Agnostic= have no knowledge of god
Believe and knowledge are two separate concept. I don’t believe in god, but I have no knowledge if god exist or not.
Party wide support and control is very important and necessary. It’s just that a non-dps build offers the same support and control a dps build does.
This is so accurate.
However, do you not see this as an issue at all?
No. Because Altair made a mistake. He say : ‘’non-dps build offers the same support and control as a dps build does’’ and that’s not true.
The reality is that non-dps ’’GEAR’’ offers the same support and control as a dps ’’GEAR’’ does.
I wants a dps only build on my guardian? I’ll go 6/6/2/0/0 with GS + Sw/Torch with Signet of bane, Smite Condition and Sword of Justice.
If I want a support build on my guardian? I’ll go 3/5/0/4/2 with Hammer + Mace/Focus with Wall of Reflect, Purging Flames and Retreat.
See the difference. Same gear, but not the same build. And btw, nobody is using a full dps build on a guardian, most ppl are using support build.
(edited by Thaddeus.4891)
IKR. English is not my native language, but at least I try to make it intelligible lol. My guess is that he can’t survive if his group is not all zerker because if mobs don’t die quick enough he die. Standard zerker pug problem.
You can’t believe in atheism. It’s just the lack of believe that a god exist.
It sounds like atheism is the belief that a god doesn’t not exist?
[/quote]
Nope. Some Atheist believe that a god doesn’t exist, but that’s not the definition. I’m an atheism, but I have no clue if or not a god exist. I just look at the bible and see a bunch of things that make no sense to me, so I don’t trust it and if I can’t trust the bible, then how can I put my trust in the deity it talk about. That doesn’t mean that god don’t exist, that doesn’t mean that another diety don’t exist. But as of today, I can’t believe in them.
An atheist becoming offended by discussion of religion because their “beliefs” are different makes atheism border on a religion itself. The belief in nothing. Talking about your belief in nothing, trying to convince others of your beliefs, is just like proselytizing.
Exactly. Atheist trying to shutdown religious people from talking is as bad as religious people trying to shutdown other religion/atheist from talking. It’s easy to think that you are right and everybody are wrong, so they should all stop talking, but that’s not an healthy society.
We are getting taunt and stuff think they are trying to change thinks up in this zerg only meta.
Taunt won’t change a thing about zerker or not. The only thing that may change it is the fixing condition in PvE. This will change from zerker meta to zerker/assassin/sinister/rampager meta. In the end, it will still be 3 offensives stats.
I understand Atheism less then I understand God/Allah. Seems to be a group of people set on letting everyone else know they are wrong.
Atheism is just the lack of a belief, you are thinking of anti-theism.
If Atheism is the lack of belief how can you get anybody to believe in it?
You can’t believe in atheism. It’s just the lack of believe that a god exist.
Freedom of speech does not, and never has been, existed on private property. Offensive speech is forbidden in GW2 chat. Some people find religeous speech to be as offensive as vulgarity. Anet has requested that we report any speech that we find offensive and allow them, as the property owners, to make the call.
Anet can ban ppl to discuss about things, but they didn’t so yes freedom of speech is the default rule here because Anet didn’t pronounce themselves about it. If they add in their rules of conduct that we can’t talk about religion in chat, they have the right to do it, they as of today they didn’t do that.
Just read the rules of conduct and nothing talk about ‘’World views and personal preferences’’ not being welcome in chat. You can point me in the right direction if I miss it.
Freedom of speech mean that everybody have the right to speak about what they want and you have the right to listen of not, but not to limit their ability to do so.
‘’I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it’‘. Ring a bell? You may not agree with what people are talking about in map chat about god/allah, but you have no ground to tell them to not talk about it. If you are offended by it, that’s your problem.
Now i you have ‘’received angry whispers from some players for talking openly about Atheism in Say chat’‘, that’s against the rules of conduct and you can screenshot it and report them for it.
But in the end it’s a game and religion/politic are always some touchy subject that may better be left alone in an online situation. No need to chase after the problems after all.
For example, when the break-bar cracks, the boss takes 50% more damage. So you could just have a full team of ‘zerkers whacking away, but it’d be much faster (and therefore more efficient) to have one guy specced not ‘zerker, but mass CC in order to crack that break-bar as often as possible. The result being 4x ’zerkers and 1x CC’er clears the content faster and more efficiently than 5x ’zerkers would.
Support is a bit trickier to address, but then, as others have pointed out, we sorta already have that a functional, efficient, and at times, optimal, role in a dungeon team via might/vulnerability stacking, reflects, stat boosts, and stealth fields.
That’s already in game, it just that pug and bad player don’t use them.
We already use D/P Thief to manage defiance, now it will be more useful.
We ALWAYS bring support. We always have might/vulnerability stacking. In about half the dungeon/fractal we bring reflect, we always bring stats boost and in the majority we bring stealth field.
What you are talking about is already well established in the game by good team, but pugs have a hard time keeping up and using more advanced technic that’s all. Of course, the system can be improve (the cc bar seem like half an improvement) and better design in encounter will always be well received (dungeon like Arah and fractals were a wide variety of support is way better than easy dps only dungeon like CoF).
In WvW and to a lesser extend in sPvP yes. But in PvE, even if it will work, it won’t be the best approach. Some boons are extremely powerful in PvE (Aegis, Vigor, Protection, Might, Fury), but others are not really useful in combat (swiftness, retaliation, Regeneration, Stability).
For Might and Fury, guardian are bad a providing them to the team and you are better leaving that responsibility to other professions (Ele, Warrior, etc)
Aegis can’t really be improved drastically. You want to use it right before getting it so more or less duration won’t change the efficiency of the boon. Some lower cooldown to provide more of it would be nice, but that’s only for 2 skills.
Vigor and protection can be improved, but that’s really need 1 trait for each. 1 minor trait will give you 50% vigor which is powerful enough, while 1 major trait with Hammer will give you and your team perma protection.
So in the end for PvE, there is few trait that can improve some boons, but that’s it. Focusing more of your build toward boons will only make you less efficient.
Kicking you because you were on a staff build is ridiculous. Why not kick any of the other profession for not bringing a profession that can stack might.
Anyway. I tend to bring S/F + LH build when my party don’t have much might and is decent. I stick to staff when the party is bad or if the party have about 20 stack of might. D/F should be use either if you like the style or if you are in a bad pug with little might. But this depend on you. Some ppl prefer to play D/F with pugs so you have might and decent survivability when the group is bad.
The only one shout that you need to be aware of at all time is Stand your ground. That’s your most powerful shout, since stomping is one of the most important thing you can do.
A team that can stomp vs a team that can’t will make all the difference.
To actually answer your two question.
The guardian didn’t have high resistance at ALL. He just had enough block/blinds/Invulnerability to stop incoming damage. That’s mean that you attacked badly because he’s not suppose to have enough block to stop attack from 3 sources. That’s mean that you and your friend have some training to do on how to use your skills.
Since he have access to all those blocks and have a couple of heal, he can play with beserker gear, which give him his high damage. That mean that’s its a high risk high reward build. You don’t rely on high defensive stats like a warrior, the capability of the guardian to stay alive is all about the skill of the player.
For the second question, he can’t drain your DS. But he can annihilate the hell out of it, if you let him with his damage.
To me experienced means that you have ran the dungeon successfully at least one time and have a general idea of what to do and how you should build your class for that dungeon.
How’s that experienced?? Would you say you an experienced football player if you played one game once and study a particular position?
Would you say you are a experienced shooter if you went once on a range.
That make no sense.
With Necro it’s a lot of spam1 though
Yes but a lot of different 1 tho.
For CoF path 2 : Magg teleports to people at the waypoint instead of the magma stone
I’m not 100% sure, but I think that Magg teleports to people at the waypoint when the last person to waypoint is out of the room where you did the explosives event. If the last person to waypoint is still in the room, it should be ok. Where the room start exactly is hard to tell, but it seem to bug even if the last person to waypoint is in the hallway near the chest.
In the situation where you have 25 stack of might anyway, then D/D will have a dps advantage.
There is 3 dps skills that will change from D/F to D/D.
- Ring of Fire over Flamewall : Coefficient of 1.24 over the 0.1 of Flamewall. Ring of Fire also have a lower cooldown.
- Earthquake over Magnetic Wave : Same coefficient, but a longer cooldown for Earthquake
- Fire Grab over Comet : Fire Grab can have a coefficient of 2.8 vs the coefficient of 0.79 for Comet.
So D/D will have more burst and more constant DPS. But not by much because those skills account for only a small portion of your rotation.
That’s why I always bring some clerics ascended rings. They cost me nothing and make the run much more reliable.
Dungeon Token is the best approach when it come to gearing up in exotic, but it’s not the fastest.
If you want to compare dungeon token vs trading post. Cyninja made some small mistake.
1380 tokens for a complete armor / 30 tokens per rare = 46 rares
46 rares x 0.875 ectos/rare = 40 ectos
40 ectos x 32.60 silvers x 0.85 (TP taxe) = 11.08 gold.
Lets be generous and say that you get 3 silk scrap per rare for a total of 120.
120 silk scrap x 2.15 silvers x 0.85 = 2.19 gold
So you have two choice with your 1380 tokens. Either you are using them for an exotic armor or you salvage them for 13.27 gold.
Or you can buy that armor on the Trading Post. But the cheapest exotic level 80 with berserker stats will cost you 25.41 gold if you put an order.
But that’s for berserker stats. All others stats from dungeon can be found at 2 gold or less by pieces of armor, which mean that they will all cost around 12 gold or less on the TP for a complete set of armor. In that case, you are better off paying it on the TP and using your dungeon token for something else.
and people getting easy tokens?. thats why we have rewards on pvp track, but selling arah paths is giving people12-45 easy gold :/, obvious exploit/scam/watheveryoucallit. Get skilled and get a good party to do the dungeon – or be good at pvp, but stop this habit.
You got scammed by the 3 peoples when they kicked you at the end of the dungeons. But selling a path by yourself isn’t an exploit/scame/watheryoucallit. It’s a legit service that Anet already statued on.
Does someone else saw that 2 of the item needed for the collection for the Energizer is Chaos of Lyssa and Shadow of Grenth. Those two items are respectively 600 and 350 gold. The Energizer sold for 250 gold on the TP.
