I think the problem arises because pets use attack skills, and they have a skill queue of their own. If you attempt to use your pet skill (f2) when your pet is using a skill and already has another one lined up, nothing happens. They should make the f2 skill override any other skill the pet currently has in its skill queue.

If you are handed all your “rewards” on a platter… then you have accomplished nothing. There is no feeling of earning something. Guild Wars 2 is not a grind-oriented game. If everyone has elite armor because they grind through a flawed dungeon to get tokens, your armor, regardless of how cool it might look to you, is worth nothing to the community when EVERYONE has it.

Troll's End Jumping Puzzle is not for Norns

My male norn is the tallest possible. The entire jumping puzzle was spent with a friend coaching me on how many steps i had to take forward or where to jump, because the camera and screen were completely filled with my character. I literally could not see anything else. Anet needs to implement first person view asap.

Norn Bear Form

Anet needs to allow us to use our utility skills while we are in bear form (or other transformations) Let us keep our buffs like bloodlust and masters bond, and let us keep our ranger pets active while in transformation!

Anet cant think of any PVE endgame content so this is how they fix it?

ALL of the people complaining are people who are trying to grind a non-grind oriented game.

You get to level 80 on your first character after 2 days of gameplay because you grind through crafting… anet comes behind you and nerfs it…. do they take away your levels and xp? no.
You repeatedly farm the first chest in an explorable dungeon with no intent of clearing it… you get a bunch of tokens and then anet comes behind you and nerfs it…. do they take away your tokens? no

Anet is fixing the game. You are on top. Everyone else is going to have to work 90% harder to get what you have already achieved…. and yet you complain. You keep slipping through the cracks in anet’s grand game design and then whine when you can’t get what you want easily anymore.

Imagine this:
Imagine you hit level 80 in 2 days, and complete all the dungeons and have all the elite armor within a week. Oh man…. so tough. I bet you would sure feel good about having accomplished something that everyone else in the game accomplished within a week. When you get things easily or quickly, those achievements mean next to nothing. When you EARN your rewards and your status, you feel proud of your accomplishments.

Norn Racial Elites (transformations) and Ranger Pets

I posted this is the sticky topic before this sub-forum even existed…. but now that it does, I want to know how you guys feel about this.

My main is a Norn Ranger… and before the game was even released, I wanted to become a Bear while having a bear pet…
It would seem that the elite skill “become the bear” actually puts my pet away while the elite is active. I do not see how this is fair, as all of the other elite skills are able to be used in conjunction with your pet being active.
That alone is disappointing, but it doesn’t seem to stop there. There is a really useful perk called “Master’s Bond” that makes your pet stronger and more durable as you get more and more kills (stacks up to 25x). Well if I choose to use my elite skill, my pet de-activates and my stack of 25x Master’s Bond is also lost. Why would I be penalized for using my elite skill?
The whole thing, in my opinion, should be resolved by allowing pets to remain active during Norn racial transformation elites.

TL;DR

Allow pets to remain active at the same time as the Norn racial elites(transformations)

As it stands currently, the transformations are the only elite skills that hide your pet, and you should not be penalized by losing pet buffs/the ability to use your pet, for using your elite skill.

then you shapeshift and go all NFL Linebacker on an entire wave of the enemy team with your 5 skill, which as far as I can tell is uninterrupteable and leaves a wake of knocked down opponents behind you. You flip the poor sap in the back that was trying to heal and hit him for upwards of 2k damage,

<3 Skill number 5…. its also perfect for chasing people down who are running away in WvW

why does the personal story turn you into a human?

My story is very Norn-like. My character has spoken of his desire to hunt, and do great battle on many occasions and it really helps me shape his attitude. I even went to Hoelbrak to boast of a deceased Norn comrade after she fell in a great battle. …I chose revenge at the beginning and so far I’ve lost two Norn allies… and believe it or not it is almost like it motivates me to destroy Zhaitan that much more.

I actually find it more disappointing that using the norn racial transformation skills hide your animal companion. The transformation elites are the only elites in the game that cause you to be unable to use your pet for the duration of your elite skill’s activation. Not only is not having your pet by your side somewhat annoying…. but often times pet buffs (like master’s bond) get reset when the pet gets put away….. Anyone else think it would be reasonable to allow you to use your pets while transformed?
