I’ve seen this brought up a couple times, but haven’t found any screenshots posted (nor did I find a dedicated thread). I apologize if this has been posted before, if so please feel free to merge my thread with an existing one!

Ok I’m positive many have noticed when we start running suddenly we start looking a little funny. Well I could never swing my camera around fast enough to see exactly what was happening. Thankfully, laggy LA gave me a few secs to snap this screenshot.

To ANet, this problem seems to happen as soon as the Asuran takes their first ‘lean’ forward into the run, then the head sticks down into the shoulders like a turtle. As soon as I stop running the head will (in most cases) pop up, but it won’t reset the next running animation. Instead the head will pop right back down into the shoulders.

I’ve also noticed this since the beginning of the game. Icky glitch to look at

EDIT Posted an extra screenie of my Asuran standing normally without the no-neck syndrome as a comparison.

Mystic Forge is a lazy, boring, overused concept

I could not agree more with the OP.

I absolutely detest the mystic forge. Everytime I read something that involves the mystic forge I just glaze over, because I hate gambling. I abhor the idea that I cannot in some way control or better my odds and am instead faced with some cold calculated… calculator!

Gather these items, throw them in, cross your fingers and hope for the best; this should be the new tagline for GW2 from what I’m reading with this lost shores dlc and acquiring equipment / progression.

I really hope I’m wrong, and this game breaks its addiction to the Mystic Forge… but I have a very bad feeling that I’m pretty right. If I am right, no thanks to what you’re selling ANet

(Sucks so much considering how long I’ve waited for this game… been there since the beginning. >.<!!!)

..this post makes little sense. The mystic force has many absolute recipes..you throw in a determined recipe and you get a specific item out of it. Check feasts, mystic weapons, armor boxes, volcanus..etc

My apologies, I’m really fussing about the fact that I’ve seen far too many people gambling on items such as precursors and what not. My rant is totally biased as I really dislike gambling systems in any game, but you’re right the Mystic Forge does offer set recipes.

Completely in agreement with this.

I’ve had a few occasions where I was harassed by very belligerent players, and didn’t report them because this option wasn’t available. (I was afraid of getting banned for posting a false report.)

It’s soooo frustrating having to go through each and every page just to find the dev post. Also, trying to sift through all the developer posts is very frustrating since most of them aren’t responses about the game directly, and instead are for customer service / closing threads.

This just seems like such a basic feature for forums to have, and I even suggested this in beta with a supportive dev response.

I’ll have to see how everything is implemented, but I’m pretty concerned about this infusion / ascended stuff being tied with the mystic forge.

I instantly think, gambling.

To be honest, if this content is based on throw some items in and hope for something good to come out – no thanks.

I’m really concerned for the future of GW2 as well. I thought this game was going to be based off of universal tokens to replace the constant repetitive grind of hoping for items to drop off raid bosses.

However, it seems with this mystic forge they’ve created an entirely worse system in comparison. Now instead of soulbound equipment drops we have to deal with throwing endless amounts of items in hopes of something of use to come out.

Like I said, no thanks

It’s a shame to see how some members of this community are extremely defensive when it comes to suggestions, and criticism towards this game.

Farming gold is not challenging. Period. It’s tedious, and extremely unfun. Offering suggestions to make fun challenges does not equal easy turbo super plus mode.

These suggestions are absolutely fantastic. Although I had my own suggestions for legendaries, I really feel that these alternatives would be much better in the game.

Having to fight epic bosses, gathering your friends together for challenging dungeon clears; that sounds legendary. By replacing the solo grindfest that is gold farming in this game with very difficult bosses doesn’t mean that everyone and ‘their mother’ will have these weapons.

Great suggestions, thanks for the thread

That’s exactly not what I’m saying.

I’m saying you can make different options that are just as difficult as obtaining in game currency.

yeah, get a legendary for being afk! genius!

If you’re not trying to solve the problem, then most likely you’re apart of it.

Like I stated in my post, there are flaws to these suggestions. This idea could be fixed with tweaks to the playtime such as a new system known as active game time (clocking how much time you spend in combat, mining, etc).

As I already stated, I’m not attempting to make these weapons easier to get. Really I’d like to see more options in obtaining these items.

TheUndefined.1720

Hello,

So I wanted to toss a couple of suggestions in regards to the acquisition of legendary weapons. I’m not coming here to complain about how difficult it is to acquire these weapons, or attempt to make them easy to get. All I’m attempting to offer with these suggestions are alternate challenging ways to obtain these items, and giving players more options.

  • Allow players to trade their hours played toward progression for a legendary. Possibly allowing players to substitute stages of the recipe with their game time instead. (Great way to keep your players playing!)
  • Allow players to trade achievement points for the legendary weapons, or substitute achievement points for stages of the recipe. (IMHO this is probably one of the best ways to go about this. Players will regularly log on to do their dailies for achievement points, and this will also motivate players to complete achievement bars. Though the points would need to be rebalanced to offer a more sustainable way to farm points.)

Although I’m sure there are quite a number of flaws with these suggestions, at the very least I hope this helps in widening options for these wonderful items to be obtained by everyone enjoying Guild Wars 2.

if you want to see an example of what the outcome of bad scaling does, open you map, and look at straits of devastation. half the waypoints are contested (literally half), because of event chains that are impossible by yourself and have no relevant rewards, so people just run straight through them.

No relevant rewards besides retaining access to the waypoints, you mean?

I disagree that events intended for groups need to be scaled for solo players. At that point they are no longer group events. There are plenty of events (most of them, actually) that do not require a group and can be completed by a solo player. If you run across any that can’t (despite not being flagged as a group event), reporting them on the forums in the appropriate board will usually result in a designer taking a look at the balance there and making adjustments if needed.

That said, sometimes it’s the player that needs to make adjustments on their end. Some would insist that no event can be soloed and that is simply not true. It may be true for their methods combined with their build, but that’s a problem with not adapting to the challenge.

Just last week there was a player on my server complaining in map chat that they couldn’t beat an encounter using the weapons that they wanted to use. When it was suggested they try different weapons, they complained the game was broken if it didn’t allow them to play with the weapons they wanted to play with. There will never be a fix from the developers to counter being stubborn or laziness.

You see, this is where I feel most of us gamers come at odds with one another. You may see this as being stubborn or lazy (and tbh, maybe it is), while others consider this a developing flaw within the game itself.

Personally, I’m kind of used to builds that are either subpar or completely useless from playing GW1. However, there’s really no excuse in this game. You’re limited to weapon combos, and very specific trait builds. If a build doesn’t work with the situations given to you, then really it shouldn’t be in the game. Those traits / weapons should be replaced with something that is viable.

Now, I can understand a lot of people getting upset with my statement, but honestly it’s the truth. Putting in useless game mechanics that do not enhance your gaming experience is really just wasted space for something that can provide better enjoyment. GW1 had a really bad habit of poor editing with their classes as well, but the job combinations made up for it. This game has very little room for so much error. I have high hopes by the next expansion ArenaNet will refine these classes to offer players more substantial builds than, ‘No, the only good weapon for this class is this one.’

Not to ruffle feathers, because I really do want this game to thrive. Yet, I always want to offer another way to look at problems as well.

TheUndefined.1720

I’d like to toss my coin in this bucket as well.

It’s not just giants btw, there have been a hand full of events I’ve run across where they’re impossible to do with only 3 people. For example, there is an event in Fireheart Rise, and I’m not quite sure if the event was working as intended; either way myself (74 thf), my husband (76 warrior), and another thief that was scaled down could not complete the event. Basically it was a defend a point event, 4-6 (ranged and melee) veterans spawned along with waves of regular mobs, and as we were finishing up on one target a couple mobs slipped through. Personally I had assumed we’d have time to go, and kill those mobs before they claimed our base. Nope. As soon as those mobs went in there not, but a few moments later the event failed. All three of us just looked dumbfounded.

Now I’m sure someone will come by this post, and say ‘Yeah I did that, and it was super easy. No problem with that event!" However, three of us fought and rallied about two – three times each for 5-10mins, and failed. Now I’m not saying it’s impossible to take on multiple veterans (especially since I specialize in blinding), but with those particular types of mobs there wasn’t anyway we could have won with just the three of us.

That’s just one event as well, there were two others that were impossible with two – three people (one of those situations we had a guardian) due to infinitely spawning mobs, the ranged flame turrets that apparently have the HP of two champions put together (I may be poking fun here… but those health pools are way too high), and of course veteran attacks that completely ignore blind / stealth.

Those events’ scaling were absolutely miserable, and you know what? They went unfinished, and a good chunk of waypoints were contest. People just ran right past them.

The rewards are a MAJOR issue for me playing this game right now. Everything in this game comes off as ‘Hey cool you did it! Here’s some silver…’ which ends up costing me more money from time I could have spent on a heart.

Lots of refining needs to be done in this game, and really we need it now.

Total length of Halloween event = 10 days.
Time needed to level character from 1 to 80 from a fresh start = 7 days.
Time needed to level character from 1 to 80 if you already have crafting mats for cheap XP = 1 day.

I’m not sure I see the problem?

Just going too far tbh. You don’t need to be 80 -what so ever.- Posted my screenshots of my level 15, and 9 both with their books. Very fun adventures as a low level alt and this quest.

I would suggest to wait until peak hours then. I had -zero- problem with that boat. There were 3 -4 people there, and I hung out at the back. I was able to get the page without 1 death. Also, when I did die people were very kind and ressed me without a hassle.

I’m sorry, but this is entirely false.

I’ve completed the scavenger hunt 100% on a level 9 (first half) then at level 14 (second half). It was a blast! Popped on Demon’s Souls soundtrack, and made it an intense journey.

I also did it with a level 4 (first half), and plan to complete it as a level 9 (second half) with my other alt.

It wasn’t nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. Just make sure you go by water as often as you can, pick up -close- waypoints, and if there are fights wait around until you see a few level appropriate players go in first then follow behind them.

The -only- time I had a problem was in Bloodtide Coast with the Risen Kraits since they were ranged. I just chose a different path since there are two different zone ins you can go to.

Not at ALL for higher levels. I’ll post screenshots with my books to prove it if necessary.

EDIT Added Screenshots. I’m level 15, because afterwards I went ahead and did a few heart quests

Minion AI fixed ?

in Necromancer

Posted by: TheUndefined.1720

TheUndefined.1720

Hello!

I’m very new to Necro, and I was aware of the minion AI problem. I’m currently level 13 running with bone minions and a bone fiend. I agree with the other posters that the AI is very terrible.

I wanted to make a post in hopes to bring ANet’s attention to this problem, but didn’t want to create another thread. So just going to post this here.

The bone fiend seems to be working pretty great actually. However, if I start to attack a monster around the range of 700-900 (ie when my scepter starts attacking), my minions react in the following ways:

*Stop
*Rear up in attack stance
*Go back down on all fours
*Repeat

This is very distressing to see considering these minions are very necessary to not only my build, but also the core to this class (Necromancers raising dead minions you know..).

I even noticed issues in the Heart of the Mists testing out the Flesh golem. He will randomly attack targets (as has been stated), and other times when I’m within around 700-900 range even after beginning the battle with my 1 key he will just stand there, and not attack. I’ve even attempted to get him hit by the target, and he will not begin his attacks.

I hope this helps to bring some sort of awareness to ANet.

Thank you for reading

Well let’s look at the text,

Stories yet untold despite the tower that marks a spooky site. When humans flee their home of old, where they settle cannot be told.

This seemed clear as day to me; Lion’s Arch, or the Ascalon settlement.

Lion’s Arch
Humans fled the searing to Lion’s Arch, however Lion’s Arch was buried under water. So we have the first part, ’human’s flee’ yet we’re still missing the ‘where they settle cannot be told.’

Basically the second part of the riddle is saying where ever the humans settled has to be a secret – ‘cannot be told.’ LA is no secret. I also did a few laps around LA with the Cauldron and only found a suspicious location on the diving board.

Ascalon Settlement
The humans that ‘fled’ Ascalon set up here! I was sure this was the right place, especially because of the graveyard overlooking the town looks has a tower like structure on fire – ‘tower that marks a spooky site,’ spooky site is the graveyard with all the ghosts above the settlement.

Also the settlement isn’t particularly pointed out by anyone in the game. However, the area isn’t hidden enough to be considered a ‘secret.’

I also checked with the Cauldron and came up with nothing.

So, here’s what we need to look for:
A spooky location with a tower that was involved with fleeing humans, and is kept as a secret.

How to make classes more flexible, roles, trinity...

in Suggestions

Posted by: TheUndefined.1720

TheUndefined.1720

This is going to sound bad, but this original post is the only critique / suggestion I’ve fully read for GW2. I’m in complete agreement with your post OP.

I spend more time in the mists failing to find a build / weapon combo I enjoy than I do out in the world actually having fun with my class. Every class (except for Guardian, and maybe Mesmer) feels extremely flimsy, and completely reliant on 1 or 2 ineffective class gimmicks to me. Sadly those gimmicks have either incredibly long cooldowns (even if traited into), or are just plain weak.

I think the biggest problem is trying to get rid of the trinity in the first place. I would love for the trinity to be knocked out of MMO’s, but for that to happen either everyone would be extremely over powered, or we’d all be very under powered. Currently I feel (aside from Guardian) most of all the classes feel very under powered.

The very same thing happened in Guild Wars 1. I spent weeks trying to find a class I liked. None of them felt really good to me, so I just gave up on GW until Nightfall came out.

I think this is a trend with ANet though, and I’m assuming this will happen with GW2 as well. They just need time to refine the game, balance classes, and add more variety.

Great post OP, thanks for this thread.

I get this game needs support, but frankly it’s feeling way too greedy at this point. Reminds me -a lot- of Tera to be honest. Throwing away money on a weaponskin instead of giving us a quest to get in game is pretty lame.

I understand this is just Act 1 so I’m hopeful there will be more in game items available with this event.

@Donutdude,

I’m a few pages away from where you’re at. However, I also remember how much I h.a.t.e.d. GW1 Prophecies. Personally I didn’t think the game was refined by any measure until Nightfall. So many glitchy monsters, and the jobs just felt weak. I also didn’t care about the seasonal events until later expansions as well.

I guess what I"m getting at is, giving up this early may be good for you, but I’m expecting ANet to pick up the pace with their later expansions.

Particularly for this event the later Acts. This is just Act I mind you, there will be much more to do.

As the post above me states, you have to wait until the server isn’t full. This isn’t at all as hard as you may think it is. I’ve had a couple friends get onto my server with maybe 3 days at most trying?

Here are some tips for your friends:

  • Do not try to transfer during peak play times (ie During the afternoon – evening times, during the weekend, during holidays)
  • Try transferring during low populated play times (ie Try during early morning hours, during the week)
  • Keep checking the servers! Don’t just give up, regularly check the servers

Only transfer to a lower populated server as your last option. Your friends really should be able to get onto your server so long as they’re willing to put in the effort.

I hope this helps.

What the kitten is going on in this thread?

Why are people arguing about gear stats when that’s not even the point of the OP?

Who cares which gear stats you used in EQ or whatever older MMO you’ll pull out of your sleeve. If you want to flaunt your MMO experience why not just be honest, and say ’I’m the best, and I know everything,’ instead of bullying the OP with this condescending attitude?

Also who cares what the OP gears? If you really feel those stats will harm the OP’s gaming experience toss them a polite private message.

The point attempting to be made here is a real problem in this game. Separating dungeons out for specific gear stats is lame. Arenanet is fostering a ‘grind’ mentality. I thought we were done with grinding?

Honestly the best option is to make all the tokens universal. That way you can choose any dungeon you want, and spread out your runs. I thought I had read they were doing this, but I guess I misread the information.

Mr Big,

I’m also having similar issues. At first I had a really nice Death Blossom spam build, but the evasion window was so small I still ended up taking a lot of damage. Not to mention my Sig of Malice really didn’t provide enough healing to make up for that damage.

Personally, I hate S/P, because the attacks feel very slow / clunky. I understand how viable this weapon combo is, however it really doesn’t mesh with how I like to play.

So for PvE I’m really at a loss with my thief at the moment. I’m very interested in seeing any response to this post from experienced PvE / Dungeon roaming thieves.

Why do I care about Eir? (Possible Spoilers)

in Personal Story

Posted by: TheUndefined.1720

TheUndefined.1720

@Lauren,

I was given that dialogue as well. I apologize for not putting that in my original post, but to me it honestly seemed so minute compared to my Norn giving someone else a lot of gratitude for their victories. If I had read that dialogue with any other character (Sylvari, Human, even Charr) I would have given the statement more weight. Yet you see, this is where my Jora experience comes into play.

A few points of Jora; she lost her very ability to shapeshift into bear. This was a huge disadvantage according to all the Norn in the northern shiverpeaks, as if she had lost the very thing that made her Norn. Even with that ability lost she continues to fight alone. You find her hunting (by herself) the sole reason of her plight. Even after offering help, she refuses it, because she is Norn and Norn handle their kitten. You basically have to ignore her, and handle the problem yourself until she finally gives in. I can’t even recall if she thanks you for your help. I believe she did, but it was more on even footing. Something like she respects your prowess as a hunter. (I could be remembering this wrong, please feel free to correct me.)

Now I bring this point up, because for me personally this sets the tone for Norn. So for this race to hand over gratitude for their victories (‘Thanks Eir for everything! You’ve helped me more than I can say!‘) seems really out of character. I say to myself more often than naught, ’Why should I be thanking her?! I am Norn! I handled my business on my own!’ Not to mention she didn’t do anything other than push me off onto other people I was aiming to help anyways!

So that line really didn’t hold enough weight to justify how my Norn acted, or excuse the fact she never directly says why she’s even following me.

@binidj,

I’m really glad I’m not the only one here!

in Personal Story

TheUndefined.1720

Hello!

Alrighty so I’m just going right to it; why does my Norn seem to care so much about Eir in my personal story?

Generally I base my Norn lore from Jora, and to say I’m disappointed with how the Norn are in GW2 would be a pretty big understatement. Whatever happened to let me earn my way instead of giving me favors?

For example: I chose Revenge, Guard the Mists, and Wolf. During Guard the Mists, (possible spoilers for Guard the Mists) Eir kept showing up during my quest. I thought that was a little odd especially since she didn't even say why she was so interested in me. So my Norn lets her tag along. Cool. No problem. As I keep going one of the Havroun's said something akin to 'Oh hey Eir now you're a teacher!' in regards to taking me under her wing. Even then I would've been ok with that, but she never agreed to taking me on as a student.

So ok that part of the story is done, and my Norn is onto greater things! What’s that? My arch-nemesis is talking smack? Well ok, let me take care of him! I show up and guess who’s there… (possibly spoilers for Vengeance Norn Story) EIR!!! What the heck! Is she just following me around now? This is starting to get creepy... So I have to enter this fighting tournament. Heck no problem! I'm the freaking slayer of Issomir, but what's that? I need Eir to vouch for me? Also my Norn is starting to speak extremely highly of Eir with dialogue such as, 'Eir you've done so much for me. I can't thank you enough.' So now my Norn has this crush on Eir, and all because she said 'Oh yeah she's a good fighter' to an open event! Ok so now I'm starting to get really irritated. I do everything by myself. No help from Eir at all. I hack and slash my way through each obstacle. On my own.

Ok so now things are starting to get irritating. Next section of my story begins… I need to go and take care of some business with the three orders. I arrive at Eir's house, and see the son of Knut asking -Eir- to go and help them. Cool. Then Eir says, hey no you should take the slayer. So... I'm the second option? What?! I'm the slayer of Issomir, protector of the Mists, single-handedly took down several tournament fighters... and I'm the -second- choice? Wow. That is lame.

After all is said, and done my character says, 'Thanks so much Eir for being such a great teacher! You've taught me well!' What the kitten?! She didn't even teach me anything! She didn't agree to even being my teacher!!!

I do not like Eir. I don’t think she’s a good tactician, she never even agrees to being a teacher, and she has done nothing important for my character thus far.

So why is my Norn crushing on Eir?

Need help with a staff build! :)

(I apologize for adding this thread, as I’m sure there are other threads requesting this information. However, everytime I try to use the search function after I press enter it doesn’t search. I tried to skim a few pages, but I’m sure I may have missed some useful threads. I’ve also tried google, but I’ve had little luck with any build thus far.)

Hello!

I just recently made an elementalist, and I’ve hit a brick wall of sorts with creating a nice staff build.

I’m not concerned with the best damage in the group. Really what I’m after is a staff build that can provide moderate damage, moderate – high survivability, and moderate – high support. I do not PvP, and this build will mainly be for PvE / Dungeons.

Currently I’m using: 0 / 0 / 30 (earth) / 30 (water) / 10 (arcana).
Earth: II, VIII, X. Water: I, V, XI. Arcana: V. Skills: Fire Sig, Earth Sig, Mist Form.

I really enjoy the toughness with this build, but I feel very limited with just earth and water. I’m also not a huge fan with all the condition removal in the water tree, but I’m not experienced enough to know what other skill traits are good.

Thanks!

Some thoughts regarding current dungeon design:

I believe this OP brings up some very appropriate comments in a none aggressive, or insulting manner.

I really really really hope ArenaNet takes these posts into consideration.

I know this statement has been used numerous times on these forums, but to me dungeons are really punishing. The amount of time, and difficulty just do not equal the rewards given. Not to mention the Diminishing Rewards system is an absolute mess. It doesn’t even seem the developers understand how their system works.

ANet: You get 60 tokens for first path completion.
Player: Well I didn’t get 60, I was given 15 or less.
ANet: Well that’s because you ran it too fast.
Player: We ran it as was intended. We didn’t do anything differently.
ANet: Well the DR system is just holding over runs you did in the past, you have to do different dungeons.
Player: Ok, so now I have to do different dungeons. I did that, it still isn’t working. Still getting low rewards.
ANet: Silence.

Sorry for the tangent. In any case, I avoid dungeons. I also know I’m not the only one. Sure there will always be people out there that will suffer the time loss for low rewards, and ANet’s buggy system.

That still doesn’t excuse the fact that people have either stopped logging in with very little incentive to play, and people avoiding dungeons since they’re just not worth it right now.

@Keiran,

Thanks for the reminder! I completely forgot about that point. Although I have a feeling some Kournans / Elonians are hiding out some where (definitely not Vabbians lol), I could totally see there being an entirely new human race not associated with GW1.

Leiloni, and really anyone else joining this thread – please stop arguing with Eochiadh. This person already posted their thoughts, and just wants to continue to argue their point.

Let’s stay on topic instead of arguing with someone that simply wants to cause a ruckus.

I really appreciate every post here from our fellow RP’ers. I think the consensus here is that group acted rudely.

Honestly, I’d say the next time that happens move on to another event. Let the Krait enslave the village. Come back and watch these ‘RPers’ role-play in a burning village with villagers /crying all around them. Let the Krait take over the city, and have them deal with it.

Also, as another post stated, call out in map chat. I would also take note of the guild name and attempt to contact their guild master. Politely explain the situation, and ask if there’s anyway they could direct their member’s events some place away from known dynamic event areas.

Add a “opt out of events” button! Meaning you forfeit any possibility of gaining rewards, but the event will disregard you as well ^^ Good for the dedicated resource gatherer or RP type.

This is a much needed feature.

I may take this too far, but once you opted out it would be nice if the monsters became green or unable to attack you / you attack them.

So many amazing responses from fellow RP’ers. So happy to see this.

@Leiloni, they should add the option ‘harassing behavior’ in the report menu. We should be able to report any form of bullying behavior, and it should 110% be punishable by banning accounts.

Too often have I noticed a trend in video games of bullying becoming more and more popular.

Wow… that is so weak. I had this VERY same problem with a few Roleplaying servers on WoW. A town would be getting wrecked by Horde (or Alliance), and I’d go to cities I knew were populated. I’d either get responses like, “leave them alone and they’ll get bored,” or ignored completely. I’d investigate and see people just sitting around RPing.

Was sooo infuriating watching the ’PvP’ers kill the Gryphon masters / quest NPC’s. I really hope this does not become a trend, but I also feel Arenanet needs to adjust Dynamic Events.

Really the difficulty should be adjusted to those in combat instead of just people in the area. Too many times now I’ve had events be impossible as if there were 3-4 people around, yet I was soloing the event.

Serious issue that needs to be solved.

I know this may sound callous, but the first thing that will help your friend is to never allow other people to play their account.

The best advice I could give (and the only thing I’ve seen work) is what Calavera said. Have your friend try to transfer during the week, preferably between the hours of 3am PDT – 7am PDT. Don’t try to transfer during holidays, evenings, or the weekend. They’re just too many people online.

My friend followed this, and he was able to transfer to TC in 2-3 days.

Thanks for starting this thread! I have some expectations of which expansions will be released based on the information ANet has given us, but this is a really fun discussion to start.

Expected Expansions

  • Continents: Cantha / Elona
  • Races: Very possible no new races. If any: Tengu / Canthans / Kurzick / Luxon. Elonians / Kournans / Vabbians
  • Bosses: Cantha Boss – Emperor (or whatever is controlling the Emperor) Elona – Palawa Joko
  • Level Cap: I don’t believe they should add new levels. Only new skills / ways to obtain new traits.
  • Dungeons: All of the Divine areas (ex: Underworld, Fissure of Woe, etc), Emperor’s Palace, Palawa Joko’s desert domain.

Expansion I would like to see:

  • Continent / Area: An entire underwater area in the sea, with pockets of magically protected land we could also explore. Homeland of Quaggens / Krait / Hylek
  • Races: Playable Quaggens / Krait / Hylek. Possible Aquatic Orrians (humanoids) that used magic to evolve themselves for underwater life. After their city was lost to the sea they would have traveled to new lands.
  • Final Boss: Evil ancient Orrian wizard using forgotten artifacts to enslave aquatic life, and raise an army to invade the dry lands.
  • Levels: No new levels, just new ways to obtain trait points / skills.
  • Dungeons: Fractured Orrian palace you must traverse to defeat the wizard. Underwater caves, and possible fissures which lead to the world’s center.

Eventually, I want to go back to the Eye of the North expansion area. Northern Shiverpeaks was beautiful, and I’m pretty upset that my hero's Hall of Monuments was totally trashed... I want to clean that up.

2200gems for both is way overpriced. You can digitally upgrade your entire account for close to that amount. 550gems for the mini in game pet, 1500gems for the combo.

(I’m sorry if this is double posting, no idea why or how to fix it. )

Oh I am sorry, I was thinking the plush was not coffee mug size but more like pillow size just a bit smaller.

Oh yeah for sure! If that plushie is huge that would be a great price. Also, I totally loved my gryphon / wyvern in WoW. I think it was like 12.99? Or maybe 9.99 for the plushie AND in game pet.

I guess the point I’m trying to get to is this has been done before, and the world didn’t break apart.

I want a baby quaggen in BOTH worlds (rl / gw2 world) <3

Lol, I haven’t rushed at all. My highest is 53, and I feel there are some real issues involving how this game is being handled.

Can’t we have a discussion without throwing out insults at each other? It’s ok for other people to not agree with you, I promise.

I remember asking for this in beta as well. There seriously needs to be an option to turn off our character’s voice outside of cutscenes.

Totally support this option

I agree with a lot of the other posters here. Really I felt the exact same way with GW1. I had to take breaks.

I’m a huge alt-aholic, so the main reason why I play MMO’s isn’t for endgame. I play them to raise up characters. However, between the dungeons being a waste of time for me, and how little rewarded I feel when taking down PvE bosses (looking at you Champion Giant of Waste My Time -.-); in the end I really feel like I’m being punished when I play this game lol.

I don’t rush through levels either. I really love taking my time with every game I play, but my enjoyment is really beginning to run thin with this game.

So I empathize with all those out there on the verge of taking a break. Hehe
