jet packs with flames. too many wings. need more variety
Different skins based on guild, order, pact, etc.
I like both of these ideas very much. A version of the original jetpack that lets you fly with some flame or exhaust, and maybe a slimmed down version that can be dyed(which would look FANTASTIC on my Steam-Punk Iron Man…:) )
Thanks for taking our thoughts and ideas, Gaile!
New Engineer here…I have played every other class in the game, and have just made my first Engi…
Playing in PvE for now.
What I am looking for is suggestion on Runes for Armor/Sigil for Weapons, and perhaps Trait tweaks for the skills and Weapon set I have currently.
I am a Steam-Punk style Iron Man, so the skills I have chosen do mean something. I am ok with alternate skills, just think “How does this fit in with ‘Iron Man’?” when making a suggestion…:) This is completely for fun and in-game reactions. I know its not gonna be Min/Max or anything.,..but I do want it to be somewhat effective…and not just completely full of suck.
Lvl: 80 (Scroll leveled, I have a ton of the scrolls, so why not.) No Scrapper yet.
Armor = Berserker
Weapons:
Pistol x2 = Ruinmakers(Rampager) w/ Precision Sigils
Rifle = Vera(Shaman) w/ Stamina and open slot(This can be replaced and i can re-skin it, I’ve had this since like 2nd week of GW2, and decided to use it…I’m a huge Firefly fan…lol)
Skills I would like to use and Traits I have currently:

Thanks for any advice.
First pass…needs pistol upgrades and a flip to dyes on helmet so red is base and gold is highlight.
Now Tony Stark look and Iron Man are complete.
Noble Tony Stark and Steampunk Iron Man…added in the Electromagnetic Glider…look pretty cool, to me anyway…lol

Greetings.
Looking for info on if any other Guild has had issues with their GH Music?
2 Things:
1. When I approved this upgrade, it caused myself and another guildie in the GH to crash to desktop.(He is in NC, I am half way across the country. So I don’t think it was a shared ISP issue. ) Anyone had this happen before?
2. When we change the music, some people in GH hear the change and others still hear the old music. Anyone else experiencing this issue?
I did submit an in-game bug report, and I did a search on this forum, but got no results. Just trying to see if others have experienced these issues.
Thanks
Edit: So far I have donated 3 different precursors, a ghostly infusion, some gold for hawk wings and a cultural armor set, about 2 stacks worth of ecto, and given away some t6 mats that I had sitting in my bank as well as 72 deldrimor ingots to two different people. I am basically out of gold now, but I still have tons of karma that I have to burn through so I can donate any temple-related or armor sets as long as they are tradeable, just make sure to check that they are beforehand. Also its probably easier to just send me an in-game mail since its easier for me to keep track of everything that way.
Greetings. I am working toward a Mjolnir, so any Charged Lodestones would be most welcome(or that pesky unbound Mjolnir you have lying around…lol). You can see my original post detailing my efforts on page 2 of this thread. I don’t get to play as often as I would like due to real life obligations…but I work on it as I can.
I hate to see players leave, but I also understand, things and interests change. Be well and fair travels.
I would like to give a direct thanks to nagr.1593, as he gifted me a most generous amount of Charged Lodestones. My humblest thanks.
Remember all, gifts of things from the gem store are kind and appreciated gifts to many. Just don’t forget that gifts of in-game materials can make a huge difference to a player.
Some of us should have a cable show about in-game hoarding…so please don’t be shy about asking for mats you may need for anything…leveling crafting, making exotcis, ascended items, etc. you may be surprised at the generosity of our community.

Here’s the long overdue update:
Our first 3 attempts with 5 people were learning experiences.
We learned well.
The next night, same 5 people, and on our first run…we took it.
I did happen to be the lucky one that was chased down by the final boss so he could jump up and down on my head a few times…so I was dead when we defeated him. I had defended our Ele and he decided he didn’t like me too much. He chased me into a corner, which worked against him as the rest of our Krew locked him in and finished him off. lol
Thankfully many of us are hoarders by nature, so we were able to Tier 1 each GH Building very quickly. (waiting an aurillium and Favor was our only time gates.)
Now like many begins the long process of upgrading with a small member Guild.
Thanks to all for the tips and advice…it did help us out on accomplishing this goal all on our own.

Thanks for all the tips. We are planning to give it another go this weekend. All of this info has helped us plan a bit better.
This is what our gaming community is about.
so if i buy this and put a set of unlimited salvage tools in them….they work on all characters?
No, you do have to equip them on each toon, and remember to put them back in these slots when you log off…:) EDIT: If you meant the unlimited gathering tools…lol my content reader is off today…the salvage-o-matics should work just fine, i think…

Appreciate the offer. We are not currently attempting, and some are at work and some at school (our kids are in our Guild as well ).
I do agree, the pathing to get from place to place is key for beating the timers.

Cool…thanks for the Mango Pie tip. We did make sure we all had Updraft before going in…that did make it a little better.
Yeah…luck of the spawns was killing us…we would get to the first one, beat it, and the next would spawn absolutely on the opposite side of the map form where we were…seemed like we couldn’t get a close-by spawn if we had offered to buy it…lol

Right…we did manage to kill some of the Vinetenders, and even a couple Maws.
Just as a side note…we did this without reading up on the wiki ro anything like that, as we wanted it to be a complete surprise…and it worked…lol
Any suggestions on what works best…a focused DPS group or perhaps some DPS with some AoE mixed in?
Hadn’t ran into those Mordrem that are invulnerable except when they kneel before(they wrecked us the first time as they were a complete surprise ), so those gave us a curve ball initially, but now we know how to deal with them.
Also any tips on reaching odd spawn locations quickly?
Thanks again!

Greetings.
We are a small guild attempting to claim Lost Precipice.
We will have 5-6 people running the mission.
We plan to start the mission with most of us in a central location to be able to reach the first spawn(which in our first 3 attempts spawned almost as far away from the start as possible) quickly.
We are planning to go in as a group and scout out/learn the area a bit better before our next attempt.
We are not opposed to asking for extra help, and have offers if we need them…but we’re just really trying to do this ourselves.
We would like to hear from anyone with tips on how to accomplish this and perhaps things to avoid.
Thanks to all in advance.
Just to add in…
The price…a bit high…500 would have been more reasonable…to the players.
Limit of 5…maybe too few, but a good number to use to gauge viability of the item. Hopefully it can be expanded to a few more.
Several people have mentioned the idea of adding things like keys, machete. crowbars, etc to the “wallet” so they can be accessed by all when needed. If something like this were done…I think it might have a positive impact on these slots.
The use of these to access the permanent tools is good…but not great…once you equip them, then the slots are empty…can be sued for regular storage…but…not the best use…maybe making an upgrade to the tool slots…say 500-700 each slot…to make them account level…that sounds a bit pricey…but THAT would be worth 700 each slot…to some of us…:)
There’s no making everyone happy…I think these are a good idea…and I hope the feedback lets the Devs tweak them to be the best QoL item so far.
The other problem with this item is it gives bots yet another reason to exist again. I don’t know how bad or prevalent they were in the JP; I don’t even think I could identify one if I saw it.
Very prevalent…at times kept the jump puzzle full and no one could access it. My longest wait was like 45 mins at one point. Granted that could have been just bad timing on my part, but I am sure the BOTs contributed to the problem.
The ban-hammer fell quite hard once they got back from the Holiday.

Hopefully as Gaile plays catch up, she’ll peruse the new posts and see about finding some answers to our questions.
As I said…hopefully…:)
I think this would be a great spot to jump off on a discussion on what we would like to see in our Home Instance that isn’t there yet?
I can see omitting the NPC labor, but we definitely need more “bling” for our Home Instance.
I get adding in nodes and such via gem Store…but we could add other things like…Crafting Stations(even if it is one that all Crafters could use), a Merchant to buy and sell stuff(like get that Ori Pick when you notice you only have 2 hits left on yours.), access to personal Bank, etc. by doing things in game maybe via an achievement(just keep it within reason).
I’m sure many will come up with more elaborate things…but I am thinking on simple convenience things. maybe as a complex thing a Portal to your Guild Hall (yes I know you can do that via the Guild Panel…but it would be cool.)
Maybe this needs its own suggestion thread?
Hi Gaile, thanks for merging this.
I have a question that I did not see a clear answer for…
I know the achievement for the 10K drinks is staying open after Wintersday is over.
I would love to have them as they would round out my look that I put together just for keeping the Wintersday/Holiday spirit alive all year round.(picture attached) I know I won’t have the fund-age to buy the drinks I need, and being an adult player with kids, a job, etc. I can’t play as much as would be needed to grind(there’s that dreaded word) them out.
Q: Will we be able to continue this THROUGH the 2016; and perhaps 2017, Wintersday Festivals?
Thanks, and I hope your Holidays are fun and peaceful.
Almost had a catastrophy today. Almost “destroyed” 75 drinks instead of “consuming them all”.
Just a suggestion. May not be high on the priority list, but if somene gets distracted, it could cause a Luck or Drink consumption to end very, very badly.
I’d just move them farther apart in the menu, with something in between.
Thanks
Thanks Gaile.
This makes it so much less of a pressure issue…if I have to finish up next year…so be it. Just don’t close the achievement next year without letting us know.
Just please remember all…some of us are not awash in gold to buy it out to finish it.
I see 3 possible simple solutions.
1. Leave the achievement open, so those of us who will not have the time to hammer out 10K drinks in the span of the event, can chip away at it over the rest of the year(if you have the Tree in your Home Instance) and perhaps finish it up next Wintersday, even if you don’t have the Tree. This also does not harm those who have already done the 10K.(Which I think is the best way to go.)
or
2. Cut the requirement from 10K down to say 5K.(But that involves crediting or somehting to those who spent Gold and did the 10K)
or
3. Add just the drinks (in single purchase or groups like x5 or x10) to a Karma Vendor. The Six know we can crank out the Karma on the Bells or by doing the gift-wrap thing.
That Scrooge is cool. Nicely done. I hope we see some more entries.
I also think that this a bit too hard achievement for a seasonal achi. It requires either a lot of time or a lot of gold, something that everyone doesn’t have. Of course not all content in a MMO game can be achievable to all players, there has to be stuff that are really really hard so that the hc players have stuff to grind. But this is a seasonal event (and a christmas event none the less, time when many people can’t grind a game 24/7), it should be doable to everyone, the point of the season events should be fun not furstrating. If it was only required for the shoulder skin then it might be acceptable, but it’s needed for the meta achi too (I am assuming that the infinite ones do not count for that).
It would be reasonable to lower the demands or guarantee that the achi stays after wintersday.
Just want to help clarify a couple things for you Hauru:
1. Drinking achieve is not needed for meta. Complete 18 of 23(I think it is), and meta is done.
2. I believe the repeatable achieves DO count, up to a certain number of times.
I got that from Dulfy’s notes:
Meta achievement: Seasoned Toymaker
You only need to do 18 of the 23 achievements listed below the meta achievement requirement to complete this meta. The story achievement Grawnk Munch count for the meta but the achievement Generous Harvest does not. Unlike last year, the repeatable achievement also counts toward the meta but you can ignore them or do them if you prefer an activity (you won’t see checkmarks on the repeatable achievements under the meta but they do count towards it).
I am not sure that I will be able to find out the answers to your questions, Starfall, but I’ll see if the devs are able to tell me the details you’ve requested.
(As a GW veteran and official Life of the Party and Incorrigible Ale-Hound, I’m thinking about going for the beverage thing myself. )
First off, thanks Gaile.
I always appreciate your time and effort to get the players answers to questions. And I know you can see how frustrating it is for some, but not an issue for others; all based on how you play the game we all apparently love…I mean…we’re still here…and still trying to communicate instead of just throwing up our hands and walking away.
I am one of those players who doesn’t mind playing to get a reward, but as a casual player, the 10K requirement is almost unattainable. At least not in a single year for a player like myself. I’m not swimming in Gold to just buy the drinks. I play 1-3 hours when I can, but life keeps me busy(being a dad, coach of a High School Archery Team, looking after my mom who just had back surgery, etc.), so I may only get to play 2-3 times a week.
I have many of the materials for the essences and the like, and I feel the achievements like doing the JP 3x and such are doable…its just the 10K drinks behind what appears to be, at this time, a time wall.
I am also one who, if the achievement carried over, would have no problem getting my gift each day from my Wintersday Tree in my home instance and keep working on the drinking portion all the way through to next year if need be…or the year after that. AT that point, 10K drinks is just a time investment…and I am patient. I’m not a Violet Beauregarde…and I don’t HAVE to have it NOW.
So thanks again Gaile…the sooner we can get some info and clarification, I think the sooner some will be able to enjoy Wintersday and not look at it as a grindfest…which is something GW2 never wanted to be.
Hello from Santa Odin.
Even has the Toymaker’s Bag on his back. And he does have the Snowflake Glider. I am gonna have to look into these mysterious new snowflake style shoulders (ala Nightfury).
Always found in the company of his little friend Ho-Ho Tron.
(Older Pics, I’m gonna get some new ones to add tonight. cool contest, and thanks for doing it! )
(edited by Thorfinnr Sleggja.1209)
Also, you can get a Halloween Pail(20 slot bag) from the vendor in LA(Sonder the Seller in Commodore’s Quarter) for 3 Candy Corn Cobs. Just FYI to help.
Several ways to do this.
I have done this one:
Purchase HoT on the Market, and enter the email of the person you want to give it to in the order. The key will be emailed to them. This was the method suggested to me by Customer Support in the ticket I opened to ask just this question.
Process #2:
Buy it normally on the Market and email them the key you receive.(as suggested before)
Process #3:
Check local retailers…like Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Target, etc…look for a GW2 box with the Green labeling that also says Heart of Thorns. (They posted a pic in this thread, https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/hot/Retail-copy )
Good luck.
Do you know of a version of this without Chrono? I don’t have the line unlocked yet, but still enjoy using my Mesmer. Thanks
There’s so much, and so many things I agree with on here already…but I’ll keep it simple and add my own request…
I’d like “Ricochet” back for Thieves.
I’d agree, if the focus uncoiled when used. Sadly, it doesn’t.
Taking Whip Focus off the “to get” list then…:(
I think “all over the place” IS the aesthetic they’re going for.
Basically, it’s supposed to be made with bits and parts from things you’ve killed.
See that part right there? ::points:: That’s made from your sense of fashion. It dies the moment you pay gems for this… mess.
I agree with what you’re saying, and I get that its supposed to be a kind of “trophy” armor…but it has just missed the mark…its too over the top…maybe I am not expressing my thought well. That’s what I meant by “all over the place”. (Also I have had enough of the “oversized” shoulders too.)
In order to balance my post about the Slayer’s Outfit…I want to say I like this set. While I I don’t like EVERY weapon, I do like the set overall. Simple is good once in a while, as was said by someone before. I will probably be picking up at least one of these…maybe 2 or 3.
And if that whip snaps when using a focus skill…i am all over it for my Necro…:)
(edited by Thorfinnr Sleggja.1209)
I hate to say this…but this outfit…is not appealing to me…at all.
I like most of the art concepts in the game…I even understand the ones I do not personally find appealing, most of the time. I don’t know who designed this, and with that said; I am sure I have liked other things they have done in the game.
But I just simply don’t get this one..its aesthetics are just not there. It’s all over the place.
Its just an opinion, and I am sure others will disagree with me…but these outfits seem to be getting worse.
I would rather have sets of armor skins(like the Magitech set), with each piece, that I can use to mix and match, than to have this kind of product. Give me(the player) back the variety and ability to mix and match as I(again the player) want to get the look I am after for my character. Please.
ok…lets open the flame gates…remember, its an opinion, and they have always said they want constructive feedback. I am expressing my wish as a player and customer.
Finally got around to making an armor set worthy of the name…Killing Frost…:)
its probably sub optimal, havent kept up on it in a while, but the old fast hands warrior Gs+Axe/Mace build you just used the cooldown skills on gs like hundred blades and whirlwind, then went to A/M used 2 and 4 and auto attacked until hundred blades was up
Pretty much still the way it is…I couldn’t insta-unlock all of Berserker on launch…but I had 0 troubles with new areas with existing GS – Axe/Mace using Phalanx Strength to Might-Up any group I was in.
But I haven’t figured out the Endless Bat Brew Recipe yet. I’m sad.
As far as we all know…there isn’t one…it has to drop from ToT bags.
I do believe that was his point!
Don’t go getting all hot, Dante! (see what i did there?)
But I haven’t figured out the Endless Bat Brew Recipe yet. I’m sad.

4. Pull lich when the other nearby door is open for the lulz.
I was with a pretty good sized group…so I did do this with a bit of Iron Man flair…this is what appeared in Map Chat:
“Hey, group fighting at door by Lich…I’m bringing the Party to you!”
Followed by many replies that included ********…lol
We did still manage to beat him.
I too wish it were a bit longer(I could use the time to continue to try for the Tonic for Nightfury), but I also made Halloween a priority, and will begin tackling the HoT content once the official end happens.
I think you can buy it via the website and give him the code. I got advised to do this by CS when I asked for my situation.
Same, a guildy and I went in together to purchase it for another guildy who was not going to be able to get it anytime soon.
CS just said to forward them the email, OR you can put their email in when you do the checkout and it will send them the code directly.
I can verify it works, as I did this for this friend and for my daughter.
I just wanted to post a separate Thank You, to the person who just sent me 3 Charged Lodestones(on like the 26th or 27th). I tried to email back a Thank You, but in game said account no longer existed. You know who you are.
I updated my original post, but wanted to make sure you knew I appreciated it. Thank You.!
I was really, really hoping the Reaper hood would look good on Charr. I just wanted one hood that does.
All you non-charr in here make me sad.
Nothing tops the Starter Skull mask for a Charr Necro (The Demon mask is a very close 2nd.). I have used it since the beginning…and have never even considered changing…jst sayin’…:)
I’ll post mine up in the future.(at work currently)
I do have to say…all the “Death” themed ones using the Reaper hood on human bosy types look really bad-@**…so good work everyone on those!

I think everyone is for it…I think even the Devs think it would be cool…I believe, if I remember correctly…its a programming issue of some kind…
Like the maps on a shard are built one on top of the other…say you took off from the high peak outside the priory…and as you made a turn you hit a “ceiling” and boom…you have now hit a wall in the sewer in LA…something like that…(sorry I can’t remember the comment or where i read it verbatim)
Again, I am going from memory here..so forgive me if I have omitted info…it was not intentional.
The same thing I read said it is not impossible to make it work…just it will take a LOT of time and effort into peeling things apart and reallocating them so that the maps had the clearance for Gliding to work properly without issues.
The only thing I’d actually like to maybe make some adjustments to would be the guild missions. Some of them are doable with 3. Some can’t be done unless you have at least 6. Honestly I don’t see why they can’t scale, all the other things in the game do. Obviously if they scale lower, they should give less of a favor reward, but I don’t have an issue with that. It goes hand in hand with being smaller and growing slower. But I take a bit of an issue with not being able to do some of them “at all” because we don’t have a specific body count.
I have to chime in here in support of this…right here.
No “Body Count” requirement in PvE missions. I can even be on board with a 3-man minimum in WvW missions…just not PvE.
Plus…we really need to look at “What is a Guild?” In the lore of GWs, a Guild is a group. Can it be large? Yes, look at the “Guild Wars”. Huge numbers in Guilds for that. Can it be small? Absolutely! Destiny’s Edge is a Guild. Members = Eir, Zojja, Snaff, Caithe, Rytlock, Logan. That’s 6…7 if you want to include Garm (which is fine by me ). Still less than 10…which is the number they planned around.
All I am saying, is #s don’t matter. 3, 6(7), 10, 25, 300…smaller numbers work for it more, and take a bit longer…but things should not be out of reach.
In the preview window, the chains moved as I moved my toon. (I think I previewed them on my Norn).
I too was disappointed after acquisition that they did not sway as they did in the preview window.

100g paid 1 time. Then you try as many times as you need for THAT Guild Hall…if you want to change…it will cost you 100G again.
On our server (Henge of Denravi) some of the larger Guilds and many of the small Guilds, have already said they would be glad to help other small Guilds on our server claim their Guild Halls, and as far as I know, none of them have asked or even insinuated that they expect payment.
depending on stats, remember you can get full exotic armor sets in Orr from Karma Merchants. check out the wiki to find out if the one you want is available out there.
Badge prices in WvW shouldn’t change.(just to be clear)
I would just wait and spend your badges and get the stats you want…save your gold for runes/sigils you may want to swap out on the armor/weapons you get…as some of those can get pricey…
I voted Kiel.
Gnashblade only cared about greed and advancing the interests of the BLTC. Kiel on the other hand actually cared about the people and the refugees and working to make LA better as a whole.
And look how that turned out…
The citizens of LA were exterminated and the city obliterated. After the destruction, the only thing out of LA that remained standing was the BLTC, and that was even after Kiel coopted resources from it.
Gnashblade is clearly the better leader, a lesson LA had to learn the hard way.
Exactly…under Kiel’s leadership…LA became an amusement park…the magic is gone…:(
Gnashblade would have kept it a thriving trade center and melting pot of cultures…and I bet he would have actually built the Combat Arena like in the novels…where we could have fought and bet on fights…
But now…“wait, mom…i want to go climb on the giant squid…”
pfffffffttttt……….
oh…and Kiel be-spelled Magnus…no Norn in his right mind would have gone along with the LA redesign fiasco…
I really need that mummy backpack for my necro. Beyond that, not sure. Those minis look fun lol
Mummy or Bat/Dragon wings…decisions decisions…need those bat shoulders too…and who knows what else…lol
I will probably be Halloween 80%, HoT 20%
With a Guardian named Thor Odinson(traditional red-headed Thor) and a Mesmer named Santa Odin(Odin being one of the original inspirations for Santa Claus)…I believe this is now a moral imperative that I acquire this.
