Step in, take control, give each specific person specific instructions if you have to. Ran it no problem on level eleven tonight, no voice chat, no fancy tricks. Maybe I’ve just been lucky with my parties, but once you get the groove down its really easy.
Not sure why all the swamp hate. I don’t particularly enjoy that fractal, but its not that bad. Split 3 people to grab the wisps, make sure they all grab it at exactly the same time. Leave two people back to trigger the tripwires near the place the wisps go, and just pay attention to the ground to look for traps on the way there. Simple, think my fastest finish time was about 2 minutes, not counting the boss.
If you have a mes, have him set up a portal, even easier.
I’ve lost interest in WvW this week, can’t really put my finger on why, hopefully that changes next week. It’s nice to see were still having good back and forth fights though, be interesting to see what T1 is like, if I’m not in FoTM every minute I’m online. >.>
PvE areas doesn’t bother me, because there is a possibility they might be using it for an event, or at least something organized.
What bothers me is the people in LA. Its become a ritual for me to look through the commanders in LA every time I go there and troll the ones I’ve never (literally, not once) seen in WvW.
Good, now the rare dyes will actually be rare. This game was turning back into GW1 where every person had black dyed armor (the most expensive in GW1, for those that don’t know).
I don’t understand why that’s an exploit. Spawn areas give invulnerable buff to prevent spawn camping. He simply retreated back to his spawn area because he was outnumbered and had no fighting chance. Is retreating an exploit? If someone ran back to the legendary defender and it killed you, is that considered an exploit too?
Yes, playing smart is an exploit. Ban all players who use their brains.
I’ve used that spot many times when I was trying to take back the camp and SoR showed up with 30 people. Me and a friend even lured 5 or so of you up there and laughed while you still tried to hit us. If anything, the only thing I exploited is how persistent/ignorant you guys can be.
We need a 100 level dungeon with difficult bosses every five levels. If you wipe, you start back at the top. If you finish it, you get your choice of a precursor. If you finish it successfully you have to wait 3 months to do it again. If you leave, you can try again immediately. You get to a save point after every boss. (Every five floors.) You can log out here and not lose any progress, but you can’t leave until you finish the dungeon or you have to start over. You must stick with your party. No one can quit.
1. It makes an epic journey for a precursor.
2. It gives you a reason to find a good guild and form a good party.
3. It’s not some BS gambling mechanic.Oh yeah, and soulbind on acquire all the precursors. It’s stupid that you can buy them.
Wonder if I should post this in it’s own thread for feedback.
The first thing that popped into my head was SAO (too much anime). It’s a rough idea, but I like it, precursors as they are now are just massively inflated by the five people that have one that in all likelihood didn’t obtain it legitimately.
>.. and then Arthur, in all his glory, took upon himself the four exquisitely made longswords he had collected, and threw them into the Lake, only to have one of lesser value hefted back at him.
“Kittens!” said Arthur, as he stuffed the lesser sword into his pack. “I shall have to go forth, and farm’eth three more swords to pitch’eth into the lake now!”
Suddenly, Galahad rode by on his mighty steed, proudly waving the Legendary sword Excalibur to and fro, light glistening off the mystical blade.
“HAHA Chinese goldfarmer kittenhole!” shouted Arthur, throwing horse feces at yonder Galahad.
“L2FARM NOOB” responded Galahad, before riding off to meet his international friends, the identical Rangers Qqqqffffff, Qqqqffffgg & Qqqqfffggg to whom he owed much.
Genius, and sadly, pretty dead on.
I guess its understandable that people will remember the guilds with the most members, but that doesn’t mean PRX carried anyone. We’ve all done our part to help out, DM has been in SoR all week, but nobody knows about us because we don’t have 50-100 people running around.
Good match all 2nd place in tier 2 is decent for SoR. SoS showed superior organization and coverage, but mostly PRX just carried.
Not impressed with your individual player skill though. Very rarely did I see SoS or IoJ win anywhere they didnt outnumber us. I believe 100% that SoR has more overall player skill than SoS we just not appropriating it well yet. Had SoR more from EPIC and GSCH (with nearly 2000 players between them they could fil ques pretty much 24/7) and had IoJ and SoR not fought so much for no reason SoS would not have such a lead. We have lots of player that work 2nd/3rd shift like me that could make up a strong off hour force. We will now train, consolidate and ready our selves for next week. Getting SoR guilded up and on TS.
Conquerors Within [WvW] Is Recruiting new and experienced players, to fight against our enemies in WvW. Have two commanders, useing server TS. Casual wvw players welcome, but mainly lf tactical adepts. That like running with an organized team build. We will put you in teams according to your mains class highest level best gear. Using server TS. need people with vision and a never give up attitude to help make this happen.

I rarely see SoR able to kill anyone they don’t outnumber. How many even fights have I lost this WvW? Very, very few, most of them to thieves, wonder why. How many times have I been ganked by 5+ SoR? Way too many, and its still funny because most of them still took forever and a half to get me down.
I Had a great time last night with our midnight crew trying to take back SoR border. Favourite part of the night was when we found an SoS mesmer in Bay keep and just as I was about to banish him off the wall he got the portal down at the final moment and the whole invading team appeared on me. I was melted in seconds but it was great fun regardless. I have no problem with portal bombing, it’s a great tactic that always keeps you on your toes. Whether we lose this round or not doesn’t matter one bit because I’m having a great time fighting a losing battle. I just wish more people could more optimistic about the game, facing a superior or even equal foe, whether it be numbers, levels or tactics is what makes the game fun for me.
I remember being on the delivering end of that portal bomb, we were waiting outside the wall hoping our sneaky mesmer would manage to get there in time before he got killed, its unpredictable situations like that which you can’t really get in sPvP that make WvW fun/refreshing.
SoS for the second time today took upgraded garrison with in 15 seconds of 1st hitting water gate, can a Dev look into this for a possible WG exploit. Its starting to be pointless to try to keep it.
I ran with the 8 (give or take a few) golems that took down your garrison the entire way there. If using what we have to our advantage is an exploit, then I apologize, but I’m pretty sure it’s not.
a “ordinary” player does not deserve one.
Sorry some of us like to have fun instead of do the same thing over and over for two months to maybe end up with enough money to get a precursor, and of course maybe have the other things we need as well.
Sitting in orr for two months doing one event over and over isn’t fun, I can’t begin to imagine how flawed your logic is if you think it is.
Was it ever confirmed if this was intentional or not? Earlier I put in 4 masterwork level 80 green rings, got back nothing. I decided “ok, maybe just a temporary glitch”. Tried it again a few minutes later, exact same thing, proceeded to try it with 4 level 75 fine rings, worked with no issues. So is not getting anything back intentional, or are certain items just bugged?
I’m starting to think thief isn’t as “pickup and win” as everyone thinks. A thief in spvp was hitting me for around 100 with his death blossom and 200 with his double (or dual, I forget) strike, and no, I don’t run bunker builds.
20 runs maybe, 2 76 exotics, lots of candy corn, greens, few tonics, and a couple boosters.
Its a pity, but if nothing else, if you’re on SoS (sucks I can’t help other servers) and can’t find a group, hit me up on Marius Solstrum, I have no qualms taking any level.
Well, that would bring back nostalgia of another MMORPG I used to play called Silkroad Online [SRO]. Everyone was either a thief, a trader or a guard – you could change these jobs by wearing different suits. They would put you in a combat mode and basically the traders would load up camels and transport goods across the entire world map, selling the goods to NPCs upon reaching their destination safely. They could make a fine profit doing so however other players wearing the thief suit could scout these traders out and kill them for their goods, and sell them on the black market. So traders would pay other strong PVP players to wear the guard suit, and protect them from thieves.
Lets not compare this game to SRO, the bot influx is already here, with which I get some serious Joymax vibes. I can only hope Anet doesn’t wreck the game with Pay2Win content and terrible balancing decisions like Joymax did.
