I think we were the only guild of number after 2am… about 8 of us I think although we were spread pretty thin

Although there was one point when I told ‘em not to be mean as they chased a sole MIller’s and popped a pressie in their path releasing a bunch of evil dollys!

To be fair, I don’t think it’s the Towers/Keeps that are the issue, more those pesky invaders… week after week.

Urrrrr without portal entre my group wouldn’t have been able to kill the enemy.

Last night in EB, we were at a stale mate, they had Ballistae in their camp and we had them outside taking pot shots at each other after 15 minutes I told a group of 8 which was all we had to get on me. Only problem was the thing bugged and I thought the entre had gone down so I began my journey, popped out of my 3 sec stealth after blinking and made it behind enemy lines, they saw me but POW I thought I’d put down the exit and so did the enemy.

They were panicking thinking we were all coming through but it was just the entre, luckily a brave soul led my team whilst the enemy was grouped round the portal entre and the massacre began, we were out gunned but we sliced and diced, some fell, others did not.

Moral to the tail, even a fluffed portal can be useful without a group popping up somewhere they shouldn’t be :P

If we got rid of portals due to exploiters they’d jump up the walls as parties, it wouldn’t change a thing. Cheaters will cheat no matter what’s on offer to make it easier etc. It’s up to communities to ferret the cheats out and report them, let them know they shouldn’t be doing that.

Urrrr no, last night there were 7 of us in a fully upgraded keep up against over 20 people. Without arrow carts we would not have successfully pushed them back. Arrow carts are there to do silly damage to make people think twice and sure a small number of them can be really harmful but one or two are crowd control and other players should be getting in there to increase damage and actually down these foes. An arrow cart alone can’t kill a zerg.

Azunai we have some members in SN that are like Skritt, they see red as Shiny and just chase after it. I try to tell them in situations like that to leave things be but they see it as weakness and start having a go on TS. So in those situations I suggest you call in back up and kick their kitten because I tend to leave them alone if they don’t think tactically. Both our servers at night are seriously out manned against Rivers and every little bit of help is a god send lol.

Last night in Gandara Borderlands was wow, 7 players defending Valley from a large number of Riverside successfully and then people started to come to EB so we tried pushing out which proved to be a mistake as those 6 Golems were just too much to take. When you see in team chat “Wow six golems” there’s a part of you that clicks and thinks, I better go check out the only real estate we have.. poor Eno was like “WHAT?!?!” at that point I knew it was time for bed

The original point is lost when there’s only 5 people on a map at 2am protecting and upgrading a borderland against 2 to 5 times more depending on the map then splitting time between every point on the map including the camps isn’t an easy task.

Point is, folks shouldn’t be able to pull the main mob away from the camp making it easier to take down. I hardly think in a scenario such as a group guarding the camp one would be pulled away by being shot saying to the other 4 – 6 guards “It’s okay guys, it’s only a flesh wound there’s 2 or 3 of them but I got this…. don’t worry guys, just another 2 arrows in the knee… you stay where you are”

It’s only a minor problem if you’re not the one upgrading the keep. For those of us spending silver/gold we’d actually like to see REAL benefits from our purchase.

Its become increasingly apparent that some people has discovered that you can pull the guild claimer from some supply camps without having to deal with the easier mobs smacking you about whilst killing the toughest most crucial guy in the pack.

It’s kind of annoying to see this happen especially when a camp is fully upgraded and there’s only a max of 1 to 3 people taking the camp. We upgrade our camps because at night it’s very difficult to defend spots due to the whole not having enough people to cover all our bases. So to see camps being taken so easily after spending the money on them is slightly annoying.

When a guard is attacked the entire group should pounce into action…. fix it pleeeeeeeeease!

I was kinda hoping that the destroying of Tixx’ model town would only be available on the final day where you get the achievement and an additional boss in the form of Tixx…. I mean I’m not completely convinced that Tixx is a good guy, when you’re spray painting Skritt and turning them into toys… something is wrong there.

Not to mention going behind the scenes at the small town and discovering ASURA SIZED wrapped pressies….

lol I panicked and ran to the nearest guards in WvW, I thought I’d get some help but one by one the guards fell to these little death dealers! I ran inside the garrison! lol

Oooo Double Clicked them in a rage and they started going again but the upgrade bar isn’t there….

Urgh!! Reset breaking upgrades again? Anyone else have that when a new build totally stops upgrades when you come back to the game meaning you can’t make any structural upgrades to your keeps/towers?

Spending good gold and silver upgrading stuff. If something is upgrading when WvW goes down, it gets stuck when the new build is released and WvW is open again. You can usually fix it by hiring the second worker BUT I already had teh second worker going so now AH on Gandara Borderlands is stuck and will no longer upgrade

It does say it’s upgrading in the ‘upgrades’ merchant but the status update is gone but the workers don’t appear to be doing anything.

Filthy!! But yeah the influx of new players and the event has us down a number of regular WvW guilds and has a bunch of new voices that wanna be heard

An unstable internet connection is not Anets problem, it’s your problem which can probably be fixed through a change in provider or hassling your exchange to check the cableing etc….

The options are pretty obvious, not reinstating a broken element of the game because you can’t get your Kitten together!

Did you catch a guild tag from those seeking entry through nefarious means?

Send it over and we’ll look in to it, I know I spent most of my time at Hills on our border because Millers just wouldn’t let it be lol or it might have been the other server… it’s 6:30am and I ahve yet to sleep!

It works both ways so please don’t add to the frustration with statements like this. Especially singling out one person when many have made the same points more than once on both sides.

I’ve been a very strong advocate for defence that the minority are at fault in game and not the entirety of AM.

WvW gear doesn’t really give me the stats for my glass cannon wannabe status…

First place is never settled until the end one of AR thought they had it in the bag the other day and we’ve come to realise that despite our improvements over the past couple of weeks we’re still prone to mistakes and the odd commander that costs us

Despite the bad feeling at points it has been a really good match up, I think the higher we go the more the dark competitive nature of WvW takes hold… Eep

Can’t wait until it constantly begins to happen to you, you invest a crud load of gold into defence, waypoints etc etc then have it flipped without warning or effort. I’m sure you’d be embarrassing yourself too especially since you seem so complacent with the behaviour.

A member of ETA perhaps, whose Zerg appeared out of no where as PRO Uncharacteristically stayed behind to stop us flipping the keep in question back tonight so that a guild Zerg could show up out of the blue?

I defended that guild group because I assumed they were already on the map and responding to the swords on the map but who knows.

It’s the organised guilds that are being taken out of play sitting in these keeps, it effectively cripples some of the structure we have in place, so yes it is affecting the way we play and we fight hard to play fair and enjoy ourselves but this constant capping results in gold wasted which isn’t easy to come by in WvW and thus, makes it unfun… So yeah, I’m allowed to be a little miffed and as you say embarrass myself.

The only result this hacking is having is the fact that gandara despite being chased by AR has set it’s sights on AM.

First chance I had to really play tonight and it is worse. In come cases names appear long after characters have not letting me know if they’re friend or foe although the colours should give them away.

No one is flaming we’re saying that this guild is tarnishing YOUR server and that you guys should also be reporting the bejesus out of them to get them removed from the game, unfortunately reporting them doesn’t have the function of hacking/exploiting sooooo they’re reported as Bots which means they’re prolly on a long list of stuff.

At one point whilst pulling PRO off the wall before the AM zerg [ETA] came along to protect the newly acquired tower, a cube of some sort appeared above one guys head we weren’t sure if it was a firework or if it was something nefarious. Anyway we’ve established that [PRO] are cheating and hopefully we’ll get video evidence soonish

Poor AM getting a bad rap cause of a small group of people who probably aren’t even doing it for the points but more the silver and karma. The unfortunate side effect is that it demoralises the team its happening to and shifts their focus but it also gives the server in question a bad rap

I’ve thankfully not been around to see it but I’ll be back in the fight tonight!

To be fair though, you’ll always have groups that see a commanders icon and think that means they’re awesome. Until commander icons cost badges they don’t really stand for toffee in some cases.

I’d never leave my server until it hits rock bottom but at the moment things are going up up and up but then again a lot of use refused to sleep last week as we felt we couldn’t lose to Fort Ranik again

I second Gandara, we’re finally getting into a rhythm, we’re not perfect but we have a great community with guilds that actually talk to each other. There’s the odd guild that think they’re too good for that but the majority fight and play together well.

We’re always looking for new players to help assist in sharing experience with other players and leading the pack,

Oh and if you do choose us…. our Dolyaks are called Bessie, we believe in respecting and ensuring she is safe at all time. The queen of Gandara is important to us and when you make your decision she’ll be important to you too!!

Yes it exists in both locations but it kinda of reeks of desperation or lack of fairplay if people are luring the unwitting gamers into that area for easy kills.

And they beat us easily three times in a row :P But not lasssssssssst time…

To be fair though, people on my team kept attacking people in that spot, I was telling them in /say tehy were being silly for quite some time and that tehy had to COME to the camp to camp it and to kill them there….

They started dropping like flies and people moved to Res them, I told those folks not to so they’d learn…. None of the silly kids got ressed. It was wasting our time while we should have been watching the camp.

AR regularly send a zerg to GB and some of us head over to their border in the vain hope of splitting up their numbers. You’d wanna protect what’s your right? Well that’s how we feel. I myself always go for teh team breathing down our necks. I don’t think it helps taking from the folks who are trying to catch up because they’re not the immediate threat…

To be fair though when we fought two french servers the first post regarding the match on the FR forums was “lets team up” lol

It’s not an exploit but I have seen zergs use it to lure those who don’t know about it round the back while the rest charge teh front….. So in some ways yes, some ways no because you’re not forced to fight tehm there.

So because your targets are being attacked by opposing factions, it’s a conspiracy? I really don’t think WvW is for you.

We’ve had to fight off AR and AM at the same time too, in some cases sacrificing one tower for another upgraded one.

Just because you’re being attacked by the only two ‘enemy’ servers doesn’t mean there’s something nefarious going on. You’re just going through what every other server has gone through at some point.

As for not making sense; you said you don’t come to our borderland because you find our numbers too great to deal with. we always make sure our borderland is taken care of as long as we have the numbers online at the time. Once that’s green we can’t exactly attack ourselves so it’s either AR or AM and considering some folks bumped into exploiters today from AM that’s one sure fire way to ensure that the enemy you’re complaining has too many numbers comes after ya. Although i’m sure it’s just a few bad eggs…

It’s WvWvW if you check your map I’m pretty sure you’ll see a smaller team capping AR’s BL because our ‘superior’ numbers will probably have relayed that the AR Zerg is in AM.

Have you ever thought that the reason you don’t come to our Borderland is the same reason AM is attacking yours? We’re not going to attack our own borderland now, are we? :P

Baseless accusations are just weak plus players like myself never enter EB and only hop from border to border with guilds and what not so whilst you complain that we’re attacking the same time as AR, I bet AR are having the same issue at certain times when we’re on their case at the same time as you.

I have indeed been telling folks. I’ve also been telling folks to join squads and only follow commanders who they trust and know get results.

I don’t have comms and I’ve led assaults using /say just because the numbers have happened to be around. although yesterday I had an awkward moment, was trying to get daily done, saw a crud load of dots on the map behind me, I stopped and about 60% stopped too… Had to tell them I wasn’t doing anything special… Awkward moments lol

Make commander book thingies cost badges and gold. At least that way if the book costs 100 to 500 badges you’ll know that someone has at least played WvW.

We’ve got a wonderful commander on my server who harasses anyone that disagrees with him to the point of telling people to go kill themselves. Hoping one day it will be removed or he’ll be removed from our server completely.

There’s nothing dodgy going on. Gandara’s numbers will tail off mid week due to the high of beating Fort Ranik wearing off.

SN the guild I’m in were hopping between AR and Gandara tonight, party cause teh Garrison is ours and we have a vested interest, we also had a vested interest in a number of locations on our Borderlands cause we paid for the upgrades on a few early morning on reset.

We were moving to defend our stuff and of course prevent anyone from capping stuff in our borderland. It is Gandara after all home of Bessie… we’ll never let Bessie the Dolyak fall to enemies for too long :P

The DB was just pure coincidence, we weren’t happy that someone went after Garrison and we thought a three way fight between Gandarans, AM and AR would be fun.

When I went left for bed, the AM numbers were starting to overwhelm us. Funny how that goes… people coming online at different times :P

I’m enjoying the fights this week between all three servers, after Friday night with AM’s portal bomb madness we were ready to just sit and protect our own borderland, scraping by as best we could but things really evened out today..

When you took DB from AR, you’d just finished attacking our Garrison on our Borderland, we flipped DB because the opportunity was there to rush in after AM’s attack left the door open. Plus why should we give you the time to supply up and upgrade?

AM and AR both attacked Garrison at the same time at one point are we to assume you’re cowards too?

To be fair though AR confuse us too, they’ll get through to an inner gate and suddenly run off somewhere else…. they’re very strange like that.

I usually wave at them to let them know I’m friendly, then knock them off at a crucial point because it is WvW and we’re in the midst of a battle that wages day in and day out. I ain’t lettin no long legger get free blueprints that could later kill me

Basically he used invis to either run or confuse his attacker by moving and creating another clone but the ranger didn’t lose the target the moment invis took effect and continued to hit him.

I’ve had this happen to me a few times where I’ve stealthed as my Mesmer but ranged have still managed to keep shootin away at me.

Why does it matter? It’d only really matter to someone who wanted to troll the JP anyway

Gandara has a good community and are trying to build on that every day, we’re hovering somewhere round the middle of the tiers in WvW and very rarely have queues, if there are it’s a very swift one

We’d love to have more WvW players interested in takings us up in the charts! YAY!!!
