Yeah, I was quite surprised to see from the tier above that camp capping units where 10 plus people, taking out the opportunity for small party skirmishes

The amount it takes to get the man down, I’m not surprised people keep him alive. The only way to stop it would be to give him the ability to cap a point. Yesterday I saw this for the first time, where he was running around in the keep we’d defended and repaired.

I do think though, if you fail a breakout then there should be an extensive time limit before you can call on the commander again. It’s an annoying feature of the game and to be honest when Blacktide universally transferred to PS last week it did the other two servers no favours cause the numbers were too large and in most cases the organisation too great.

Get read of it or weaken the health of the tower to make it easier to get in to.

Around 4am lots of germans appeared to wake up and just steamroll the borderlands. In the end when there appeared to have a lot more than us, I think a lot of us just went to bed Best choice me thinks.

No one had been tagging siege on our side either so it disappeared and we just weren’t ready for all those peoples. Boooo good show though, we’ve had a night capping force before but never that big

If they used Karma instead of gold I wouldn’t really be able to do the amount of upgrading I have been doing as I prefer to defend rather than join the karma train and those on the Karma Train are usually not the ones doing the upgrades anyway.

I may not have the buffs on my guild to share yet but if I upgrade Garrison at 4am till 9am so it’s fully upgraded with my gold, I’m gonna claim that bugger. When I have the buffs I’ll share them but until then if I’m spending the gold when no one else is then I’ll claim :P

Have to say that transfers have messed up our current match up which has been pretty even thus far. Now two servers are being cake walked and Blacktide where these people came from seems to be suffering immensely due to the massive lost in numbers whilst the server that got them is reaping insane rewards that will probably see them go up a tier.

However gotta say some of the guilds that have moved over to my server in the past couple of months have been on the whole great and they intend to stay.

Bring in PAID transfers sooner rather than later. WvW has enough issues turning players off don’t make this long term issue another one :P

I sat most of last week out because GW2 was eating in to the job application time and reviewing films that folks send me to urrr review.

This week I is terribly poorly but to have three weeks of perfectly balanced play and then wake up to this QQ only to have the whole “Told you we were on holiday” thing is just silly. Holidays ended on the 2nd of Jan when most people were going back to work etc etc. It was balanced up until the end of last week when Piken appeared to have a few more night capping guilds transfer over. (Unless you have a bunch of Orthodox players on your server because I’m pretty sure the Orthodox holidays were the week of the 2nd)

I’m sure redguard aren’t spending their time building multiple rams around Garrison supply either or in your EB keep as they did last week on Gandara.

It’s great to see you at full strength with old folks back and obviously a bunch of new but don’t analyse stats like a bunch of bankers :P

I’ll be happy to drop down a tier, WvW in recent weeks has become too much like a grudge match, it messed with my sleep and my head making me less than happy Torty. I’m sure we’ll see you again in a few weeks but I think you’ll find your super duper early push will prolly see you fighting a much more ‘limited’ force which in turn will impact on your enjoyment of the game and lead to PvD which I’m sure you’d never do

To be fair, at least you can nick the golem and waypoint it away

This week is the first week I’ve actively seen supply griefing to the point of 10 rams being built round a supply depot and upgrades being ordered during a siege. If you can’t buy siege equipment when a place is being attacked then why on earth should you still be allowed to buy upgrades that could decimate precious supply?

Only way to combat it, is always carry supply and keep those supply routes open and hope they don’t keep doing it.

To be fair, a thief play is geared towards sneaky sneaky and although it’s annoying to be taken down after or during a fight… they’re given the stealth to make you poop yourself.

Stop with the population thing, at any time the servers are only outmanned for no more than an hour in certain borderlands even at 5am…..

Feelings about hackers are mutual between servers. Every server has them, and its every servers responsibility to find them, and deal with them if they can.

Irony is Anet just removed my post because it’s off topic despite responding to posts about hackers and certain guilds. lol

If they spent more time fixing the exploits we’d all be happy bunnies.

Match Up is almost over and I ain’t signed on yet. Popped on earlier this morning to check the score but haven’t been back since. Actually debating doing reset since Gandara suffers on reset and the folks wanting to be organised get stressed out as a result

Fun night, how do AR field so many people at night?!?! Although there was a point on their borderland where the zerg kept coming at my party from Garrison to the camp near bay (not vale, the other one) and we kept knocking them down until their third try when all our Cooldowns where out of whack, that was fun.

Although during peak time, I pulled a ranger off the wall at hills and he used a skill to leap back up there again which I’ve never seen before.

Shurrup you, just applied for 10 jobs. So there!!! While I’m not working, I may as well enjoy the freeeeeedom!!!!

Last night the only time we did PvDoor was when Gandara and AR were in the wrong place at the right time. Constant outmanned buffs from around 1am-5am so there was some opposition even if it was hiding in the spawn areas(yes most the stuff we took was defended). Still had some great fights and I have to apologise to AR for killing all their Dolyaks for almost 2 hours, even when they guarded them, but we wanted SM so it was a necessary evil(poor Yaks).
Great work by the Piken night crew again, all 20 of us!!

Apologies, but I wasn’t on so obviously there was no one else on Gandara during the night time capping. Must be PvD for sure :P

ALthough it is fun to do night service cause you get rid of the jumping puzzle chaff and get down to real business and some great little skirmishes with the opposition.

There can be some great sieges on keeps/towers etc people really do miss out playing Prime Time only

From a guild on Gandara, at first we thought he was a spy as he was sitting in bay, we thought he was just giving information about numbers/siege placement until he started sitting outside the wall you guys (Gandara) were trebbing and absorbing the treb shots with focus #4.
We were genuinely confused.

Anything Impy does confuses most people. :P

Don’t worry though, we’re not organised enough to actually use any information if it is passed along :P

Plus I think the guild in question will deal with it pretty quickly as I don’t think they’ll like their established tag being used in such a way and they wouldn’t have sent him over to you in the first place cause that’s not how they play.

Oh dear, Piken have the majority of the map at 6am. It appears Gandara and Augory were PvD’d over night. That must be the simple solution! We’ve been shamelessly night capped.

Although I had a wonderful nights sleep for once.

Taking a break tonight, back on the Law & Order marathon Can’t keep doing these all nighters, they’re having their toll… booooooo.

It’s amusing that the images I posted proving Piken weren’t outmanned were reported and removed but the accusations that we PvD’d remain.

Enjoying the fights and the match up but not enjoying the forums, although they push me to play even more in order to push Piken down on score, I’d never do PvD… if there’s no one around it’s boring. These silly accusations and name calling because the players you had on weren’t coordinated enough is just silly.

Their contribution despite failing is just as important as your main players. They manned the cannons, the mortars and kept us pushing on your garrison for over an hour. Perhaps you should be thanking them because we nearly gave up at one point because it was taking so long.

Instead of brushing off our attacks as “We were out, it doesn’t count” maybe you should be thanking those that stayed behind to keep us at bay for so long.

I feel bloody silly that I now have to record my sieges just in case I get accused of exploiting again. If a siege takes 1 hour or 4 hours I’ll do it. I will NEVER and have never knowingly used an exploit or a mesmers portal who may have exploited, like my food I like to know where my portals come from :P

PvD?! There were also four or five standing by the tower we were trebbing from and hiding the golum, one of you on the mortar making things difficult for us and another one I know that was repairing the wall.

I’m on a Law and Order new years day Marathon today also catching up on some website posts and film reviews. My silly addiction to this game has left Review copies of games and films piling up as they filter through the letter box.

Sorry to say Sabre we’ve seen nothing but contempt and arrogance in the thread of last week. Your guys thought the news boys and girls in town didn’t deserve to be in this tier and you thought your organised and respected commanders/guilds would be able to walk all over us but to do that you needed to form an underhanded alliance because you got capped on christmas eve and then you QQ’d and called us names.

Only to form a 12hour alliance on CHRISTMAS DAY, which is also a holiday where all servers would be down players.

The double standards and hypocrisy from Piken in the past 10 days has been jaw droppingly unbelievable. The posts above are trolling but they’re just a flavour of the stuff we’ve had to deal with including a list of victories on why Gandara is undeserving of last weeks win.

I’m having a lot of fun and this week has been more of a grudge match, I know I’ve not really touch AR unless it’s to defend a spot when we’ve been up against their night service.

You had guys on last night, guys that equaled our force but just didn’t play together, use supplies to build siege or to even repair. There were moments when we were dying to your upgraded guards and patrols at Garrison but only one of your guys attempted to take advantage of that and push us back. Maybe you could spend less time berating and belittling your opponent in these threads and learn a few things from the lovely TUP on decorum etc

When we took your Garrison you had just as many numbers as us. Totally happy to post up the video and show you how your fully supplied garrison remained fully supplied in the HOUR plus it took us to take it

Off to bed now, I had fun You guys may think your server stops when you’re not online but it doesn’t. You may think Gandara has an uber zerg but I can assure you we just moved from map to map with 7 to 10 players while yours remained scattered across EB and elsewhere instead of moving to protect your space like AR did.

Thanks AR guys, that Mendons siege pooped me up!! Catas were going up there were 15 to 20 of ya but luckily people waking up slowly trickled to our aid. There were only about 7 of us in there to begin with, frantically building siege.

Just because your not on doesn’t mean your server is dead. Your server has players even if you’re not on and AR fought valiently with a number of cannons to keep us out of their garrison.

Your guys ran backwards and forwards along walls in a keep that was at full supply. So instead of diminishing any caps etc teach your guys to build siege when their backs are against the wall :P

We had 8 to 10 guys and your guys had approx the same, soooooooooooo…..

Nah some Silly Gandarans thought it would be fun to start on AR despite being out gunned on our own Borderland so we were fighting against two forces because some folks decided to poke a hornets nest. :P

I signed off ages ago with the intent on getting sleep and I have to say GW2 ruined my sleep patterns!!!! I CAN’T SLEEP!!! Wahhhh

Well, I find it hypocritical for us (Gandara) to get worked up over an alliance (see last week’s match-up) and then turn around and start making alliances ourselves, FOR ANY REASON.

It was ONE person that messaged you. Yesterday at 8amish I got called a Lazy Kitten because I wouldn’t help destroy a ram in EB going in to a tower; a tower that my small group obtained by claiming a camp, building a golem and knocking the door down ALONE…. then we destroyed the rams that he FAILED to finish killing lol

But when our keep in EB was under attack he took it upon himself to call us the Lazy Kittens at Anza or wherever we were at the time. In the end I let him know we wouldn’t be helping just to get him hot under the collar but we did, the thieves took down the balista and ram whilst he was merrily berating his fellow Gandarans.

Check with the majority of players before you take one players word for it, one player out of a multitude of old timers who will happily tell you that any red name on the map will be attacked, maimed and slaughtered on sight…. unless you’re feeling generous in the jumping puzzle

That seems like an accusation to me. I spent last week tracking down exploiters when I was told about them by a friend on Piken and reporting them, so please don’t put me in the same boat as folks cheating their way to the top.

It is good to know that Gandara WvW fighters have friends amongst Piken WvW fighters who provide them with enough data about current situation. Interserver communication full of spydata on server squads movement is a key to win WvW battles, right?

Totally, I really enjoy spending time helping find and reporting exploiters who are hurting your score which means I miss out on the key battles you speak of.

At least it’s just a friend and I’m not sharing vital information with let’s say three commanders on the other server to affect the course of events for let’s say 12 hours or so. In order to lock out another server from scoring

If that’s the way you feel, I’ll stop the search in reporting the people affecting your score and enjoyment of the game with exploits.

Ignore them and smack the kitten out of Piken :P

Piken isn’t the only server to celebrate the holidays I get the feeling these commanders thought Santa was only out on Christmas to visit them.

Hopefully it is the end of it all. I’m gonna be playing less this week. Although I said that last night and stayed up till 9am to hold what little we had

If a squishy mesmer can take down three pugs, a group of seven including an organised guild can take down ten defenders, easy. Which is why I often found myself alone destroying your siege, hoping to inspire the scaredy cats on the wall to do the same

I always make sure my portals are 100% official and since I know the person the portal came from it was very much trusted. I do know of guilds that think exploiting helps us but it only tarnishes the server

No but the Necro in the Piken Night capping guild TUP made me bleed like a ripper victim last night, time and again but thanks to the two guardians he was very difficult to scratch with all that might n stuff

Tough night, not sure what happened to the Gandara guilds tonight…. there were maps without commanders and some with three…. Must have left for the New Year’s Break so we’re totally not fighting with all our big support

TUP are pretty vicious, really enjoying running in to them. Hit like trucks though.

There was actually a mesmer hiding because I made sure I found out they hadn’t glitched in before using the portal :P Sooooooooooooo as someone from GG told me in the last thread, don’t be so quick to accuse people of glitching just cause you lost 4 golems

Although in teh end it looks like the alliance has hurt Piken cause Team Chat is aimed at pushing them in to third for that ‘12 hours’. Urk!
